Classy “Religion of Peace” E-mail of the Week

By
Well, the “Religion of Peace” is at it again.
Here’s the latest e-mail I received from one of its many “peaceful” and “modest” members. So, what was that columnist how Muslims have a special need for modesty above and beyond all other religions (as his justification for opposing using women’s breasts to “torture” Gitmo detainees?:

Movie for Both Sexes: “Tristan & Isolde” Has Dueling Knights, Romance

By
A movie we really liked opens this weekend, “Tristan & Isolde.”
It is a battling knights/romance movie that takes place in Medieval times in what is now Great Britain. It is the story of knights of Ireland and various English kingdoms/tribes, and their fight over control of these lands and a unified kingdom. But it is also about the forbidden romance between the Irish Princess Isolde and the English Knight Tristan. And it is about honor and what happens when it isn’t upheld.
For men, there is plenty of exciting swashbuckling and battle between the knights. For women, the movie is heavy on romance. For all, there is beautiful cinematography, terrific acting, and lots of charm. We like star James Franco (Tristan), who also starred in one of the , “”.

DUMB: Pamela Anderson Attacks Col. Sanders, Kentucky

By
“Baywatch” ditz Pamela Anderson is on the attack. . . . against Col. Harlan Sanders and the State of Kentucky.
The silicone-valleyed star of FOX’s dud sit-com “Stacked” is raving mad at Kentucky for featuring a statue of Sanders, the founder of KFC (formerly, Kentucky Fried Chicken). “The bust of Colonel Sanders stands as a monument to cruelty and has no place in the Kentucky state Capitol,” Anderson said in a statement issued by PUTA (People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals and humans).
We’re so glad she’s found such an important battle to fight.
But, unlike the peroxide airhead, the late Col. Sanders was everything that is great about America. He much deserves his statue in Kentucky’s Capitol. Sanders was an entrepreneur, an employer of many (and the restaurant he founded, today, employs hundreds of thousands), gave a lot of money to charity, and was a man of deep faith.

Pam Anderson vs. Col. Sanders: A Ditz Attacks a Great American

Sanders founded Kentucky Fried Chicken when he was 66 and, at age 68, was still living off social security checks as his only income. He did not make it big until his early 80s, when his restaurants flourished. He achieved this through hard work, not plastic surgery and hair bleach. “I believe a feller rusts when he quits workin,” he told Stars & Stripes at age 87. “So ya have to keep workin’ to keep the rust off.”
Then, there is trashy Canadian export Anderson and her contributions to America: Made peroxide, breast implants, and sex tapes popular. Comparing Ms. Pornified to Col. Sanders is a joke. She isn’t good enough to lick his boots.
Consider Pammy’s own hypocrisy on animal rights. Take her several-years-long, on-again, off-again relationship with “Kid Rock” a/k/a Bob Ritchie, Jr. The self-styled, former drug-dealing, pimpish White rapper wears fur coats galore. And they are real, not faux, fur. Not to mention the leather pants, vests, and jackets adorning him. Yet, we never heard of her kicking him out of bed over it. Apparently, glorifying the pimp/drug culture trumps the founding of one of America’s great successful businesses, providing jobs, and giving charity . . . in the World According to Pam Anderson.
Then, there is Pam’s PUTA. The group gave money to two domestic terrorist groups responsible for arson, explosions, etc.: ELF (Environmental Liberation Front) and ALF (Animal Liberation Front). But we have yet to see the peroxide prophet disavow the group. Nope. She’s more allied with PUTA than ever.
Instead of calling for Kentucky to remove Col. Sanders’ statue, all Americans should be calling for FOX to pull Anderson’s show, “Stacked.” After all, no American broadcast network should feature a show starring a woman who won’t denounce domestic terrorists–and constantly sends out joint statements with the terrorists’ funders.
(For all our kosher readers, you have a stake in this, too, because this bozo-ette’s attack on Col. Sanders is also an attack on the KFC in Israel, which is reportedly kosher.)

New Girlie-Man Nickel Makes Debut This Week

By
In October, we wrote about the , and how the government sought artists who would create a “softer” image of Thomas Jefferson. Now, media reports say the new “Return to Monticello” nickel is debuting, this week.
We liked the old, masculine Jefferson nickel, much better than the new post-op transsexual version (see images below) . . . just as we like the old Bruce Jenner much better than “softer”, post-plastic surgery version. Jenner, like the old nickel version of Jefferson, should have grown old gracefully–without getting “work” done.
Why was this new, metrosexual nickel necessary? As we asked before, feminizing Jefferson–what’s next?

If it ain’t broke . . .

This Weekend’s Race-Based Movies Uplift at Expense of Healing

By
Lately, race seems to be Hollywood’s silver screen obsession of choice.
This weekend, there are two such race-based movies making their debut. Both are feel-good, uplifting movies. But they “uplift” at the expense of healing the racial divide.
Both movies, “Glory Road” and “Last Holiday“, are entertaining. But they employ racism against Whites that would never be accepted in the reverse. And both films raise questions regarding when Hollywood will stop focusing on race at the box office–and what possible good the tactic achieves.
One of these films, “Glory Road,” is billed as a fact-based movie. But, in fact, it takes huge liberties with the truth. The other, “Last Holiday,” an entertaining fantasy, unnecessarily uses bumbling and evil White characters. It’s time for both types for both tactics to end . . . if Hollywood wants to stop the red ink gushing from its silver screen bottom line.

“Last Holiday”, starring Queen Latifah and co-starring LL Cool J, is the story of a lower middle-class, unappreciated department store clerk, Georgia Byrd (Latifah), living a sad and lonely life of unrealized dreams. She finds out she has three weeks to live when it is discovered that she has malignant tumors in her brain. Georgia decides to cash in all her stocks and bonds to live out her Walter Mitty fantasies in her last days at a swanky Czechoslovakian resort, right out of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”
“Last Holiday” is charming, fun, entertaining, and features beautiful cinematography. For those of us who’ve never lived it up at a lavish resort, this movie is almost like experiencing it vicariously through Georgia. And it’s very funny.
But it is also heavy on subtle reverse-racism. Almost all White characters in “Last Holiday” are evil, dopey, or both. And vice versa, with the exception of a light-skinned, Uncle Tom Senator who might as well be White. Then, there’s the big-business-is-evil premise intertwined subtly woven into the race issue, too. The flashy, evil, lecherous, White magnate (played by Timothy Hutton)–who owns the department store at which Georgia worked–is the villain.
Georgia and Sean (LL Cool J), the man of her dreams, are pure and, again, the White characters aren’t. We get the message.
On the other hand, the movie has a couple of very positive themes throughout: Georgia’s deep belief in G-d despite knowing she will soon die without living a full life; and the message that one should try to live every day to the fullest possible. It’s too bad the subtle race, class, and anti-business messages were mixed in.
Then, there’s “Glory Road”, which depicts the real-life story of how Coach Don Haskin led Texas Western’s amazing 1966 NCAA basketball championship win over the Kentucky Wildcats, the first championship team to feature an all-Black starting line-up. The movie depicts the team’s entire Cinderella season and how Haskins built it from nothing into a powerhouse by daring to cross racial lines in recruiting.
I saw “Glory Road” at a special screening for the friends, family, and neighbors of the late Bobby Joe Hill, one of those players (he hailed from the Detroit area’s Highland Park). I was one of four White people in the entire theater. That is important only because I saw and heard the largely Black audience cheer anti-White parts of the movie, and wondered how films like this can possibly help America. The audience jeered stark examples of racism against the Black players in the movie, but laughed when the Black players repeatedly called Whites “honkies” and “crackers”.
Yes, it is a tremendous achievement that the championship Texas Western team depicted in the movie won against all odds, including racism. But is repeatedly focusing on race a good thing? Judging from the hooting and jeering at the movie, I’m not quite sure.
Then, there is the major lie in the movie–a movie whose promoters and sports media galore have been claiming is truthful: The reason Haskins started the all-Black line-up in the championship game. And actually, the version shown in the movie is an insult to these Black players, but a boon for affirmative action and reverse racism supporters.
In “Glory Road,” Haskins calls a meeting of the players the night before the championship game. He tells them that he will only be starting and playing his Black players because he wants to make a statement to America about civil rights. It’s an important scene in the movie.
But it never happened.
USA Today reports that Haskins said “it never occurred to him to put anybody but his best players on the court. It just happened that his five starters were black, which prior to that moment was unheard of in a national championship game.”
In his book, “Glory Road: My Story of the 1966 NCAA Basketball Championship and How One Team Triumphed Against the Odds and Changed America Forever,” (on which this movie is supposed to be based)Haskins wrote: “All I ever sought to do was win the game. I certainly did not expect to be some racial pioneer or change the world.”
Clearly, Haskins did not pick these players for the Big Game because of their race–but because they were the BEST players on his team.
And that’s the problem with this glut of race-based movies. They send the wrong message–a false message. And they usually seem to only serve to divide.
Whether at the movies or otherwise, the more we focus on race in America, the less likely we will ever get away from problems associated with it.
And that can’t be good for America.

Friday the 13th: Tomorrow Marks 2 Outrages in Bush “War” on Terror; DHS & German Witches Celebrate

By
Since 9/11, President Bush has consistently marketed himself as the counter-terrorism President. But many events have proven otherwise–that his “War” is really a lot of PR and very little in hard results.
Two events tomorrow put the lie to Bush’s claim that he is really tough on terror:
* Bush’s welcoming White House meeting with German Chancellor Angie Merkel; and
* the sentencing of former INS/Customs and Border Patrol official .

Stethem: Bush Welcomes Woman Who Released His Killer

In November, we broke the story of , the Hezbollah terrorist and murderer of Navy diver , to freedom in Lebanon–apparently . The Bush Administration did little to nothing to stop Hamadi’s release. And since the release, the Administration provided at least 4 different stories to the press and the Stethem family, regarding what it did and didn’t do.
To make matters worse, tomorrow, President Bush will welcome German Chancellor Angie Merkel–whose first act regarding terrorists was the release of Hamadi–with open arms to the White House. Merkel has also been very vocal and very critical against U.S. holding of terrorists without civilian criminal trial in Guantanamo Bay.
What kind of message does this send? Not a good one. Remember President Bush’s now non-uttered declaration that “you are either on our side or the terrorists’ side.” Guess what? Angie Merkel is on the terrorists’ side, but she seems very welcome by Bush’s side on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Instead of welcoming Ms. Merkel, Mr. Bush should have pulled our Ambassador to Germany. But he did neither that nor anything else. Clearly, Bush is not so serious in the war on terror when it comes to demanding justice for the brutal, tortuous death of a loyal U.S. American serviceman by Islamic terrorists.
Robert Stethem’s family is rightly outraged, and all Americans should be, too.
Then there is . We wrote about Ms. Caganap’s disgraceful career as both an INS intelligence official at a U.S. port of entry and later promotion to port director (in locales in California and Michigan)–all while she was accepting thousands in bribes in exchange for covering up the smuggling of humans and drugs into our country. And all while our government knew about it as early as 2001, but let her stay on the job until this year.
Tomorrow, is Ms. Caganap’s sentencing, originally scheduled for Halloween and now auspiciously scheduled for Friday the 13th. The problem is the bad luck is on us, the U.S. citizens–not Caganap. She stood to do at least 36 years jailtime, but ! She will likely get just probation.
If that is not a sign that Bush’s Justice Department is not serious on fighting the War on Terror and protecting us, what is?
We’re not superstitious. But given tomorrow’s date and the bad things our country will endure then, perhaps we should be. Friday the 13th is proving to be every bit of bad luck as the believers claim.

The Strange Case of Butch Jones: How a Drug Kingpin Helped the Justice Dept. Free Terrorists

By
The strange case of Milton “Butch” Jones is illuminating.
The drug kingpin’s lax sentence is evidence that our Justice Department is not serious about fighting terrorism, the war on drugs, or even mass murder.
Jones was the founder and chief of Young Boys, Inc.(YBI), the far-reaching drug gang that terrorized the Detroit area for years. He is linked to at least 68 murders, and believed to have ordered far more. Jones’ 1996 book, “Y.B.I.: The Autobiography of Butch Jones“, brags about his tenure at YBI–including killing, robbing, firebombing, and–of course–making millions by using teen gang members to sell drugs and kill. Some of his drug dealers were as young as nine years old. Jones wrote the book on being a pimp daddy.
He went to prison in 1983. He is responsible for murders so numerous and so brutal that federal authorities were seeking the federal death penalty for drug dealers against him after a new 2001 indictment against him.

Drug Kingpin/Mass Murderer Milton “Butch” Jones:

Got a Deal for Helping Al-Qaeda Terrorists

But Butch Jones helped Al-Qaeda terrorists go free. And he helped discredit a star prosecutor who obtained the first post-9/11 guilty verdict against those terrorists.
So Butch Jones got a deal.
Last week, prosecutors agreed to seek a sentence of only 30 years against Jones. They will not seek the federal death penalty for drug kingpins against him–or even seek a life sentence. Jones’ current attorney will seek to get an even more lenient sentence.
So, how did a drug kingpin responsible for the brutal murders of countless people throughout Detroit get off so easily? How did he manage to escape a federal death penalty for drug kingpins for which Butch Jones seemed to be the model target recipient?
Work your way back several years.
Butch Jones’ previous attorney was a man named Jeffrey Collins. Mr. Collins, a liberal and not regarded as a very smart or competent attorney, saw that there would be opportunities for him if he posed as a Republican.
Michigan’s then-Republican governor, John Engler, was eager to show that he believed in “diversity”, sought out a Black “Republican”, and made the less-than-stellar Collins a judge. Then, in 2001, when Engler’s friend, George W. Bush, was elected President, he, too, was looking for a Black “Republican” to appoint as U.S. Attorney in Detroit.
(Collins served until 2004. His current replacement, U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy, III, who lost out for the job against Collins in 2001, bitterly whined to a Republican U.S. Senator at a cocktail party that Collins was not really a Republican and that “Blacks control our party.”)
Bush appointed Butch Jones’ former attorney Collins to the position of U.S. Attorney, a job he began in late 2001.
After the September 11 attacks, the FBI was looking for Nabil Al-Marabh–a Syrian national who was a top Osama Bin Laden associate and among the top 25 on the FBI’s Most Wanted List. Detroit agents went to a house on Norman street in a shabby Detroit neighborhood, where Al-Marabh had recently lived.
The agents didn’t find Al-Marabh, but they found other men who had over a hundred extremist Muslim videotapes, “tourist” tapes of prominent U.S. sites and attractions, and a dayplanner with detailed drawings of a U.S. airbase in Incirlik, Turkey–including the order of take-off for AWACS and F-16 planes used by the U.S. and Israeli Air Forces.
And there were other things. Singing on one of the “tourist” videos sounded like Al-Qaeda songs. One man on a tape was linked to an Al-Qaeda sham marriage ring (enabling terrorists to get U.S. green cards and citizenship). Plus fraudulent documents. At least one of the men worked for Skychef at Detroit Metro Airport, with easy access to planes.
The men were detained and eventually indicted on multiple terrorism and terrorism-related counts. Post 9/11, the Detroit U.S. Attorney’s office did not have a terrorism unit. And since terrorism operates much like organized crime with a Muslim accent, Rick Convertino–star prosecutor for the Organized Crime Strike Force Unit–developed and tried the case.
Convertino eventually got multiple convictions against the Al-Qaeda terrorists, but it was despite constant roadblocks from John Ashcroft’s Justice Department (which claimed to be tough on terror, but did more grandstanding than anything else). U.S. Attorney Collins, who had political ambitions–and felt that courting extremist Muslims in Detroit was the road to those ambitions, opposed the indictment of the Detroit terror cell and tried to stop it.
But he had to answer to the Justice Department, which wanted the case to be its showcase trial on terror. However, Justice Department counter-terrorism officials, such as the incompetent Barry Sabin, also threw obstacles every step of the way. Ditto for other Department higher-ups, Joseph Capone and James Comey (the Assistant U.S. Attorney General now prominent in the NSA wire-tapping stories). Capone came to Detroit to “supervise” Convertino’s trial prep, but spent most of the workday–your taxes pay his salary–playing basketball.
When Convertino obtained convictions against all but one member of the Detroit terror cell, he was invited to testify at the Senate Finance Committee by Sen. Charles Grassley about the document fraud employed by the terrorists. Collins was filled with jealousy and tried to stop it–as did Justice Department officials.
Collins pulled Convertino off the terror cell case (which was being appealed by defense attorneys) and ordered a search of his office.
Oddly, Collins’ minions found a letter authored by his former client, the drug kingpin Butch Jones. Reportedly, the letter–which made no sense–accused George and Barbara Bush of being drug dealers who bought off the electoral process. It also accused a key witness at the terror cell trial of being a liar. (Jurors said, after the trial, that they did not believe the witness, anyway.) Collins claimed the letter–possible exculpatory evidence for the accused terrorists–was never served on defense attorneys in the terror trial and turned it over to defense attorneys as a way to help them overturn Convertino’s terror convictions. (But testimony in the case indicated the letter had, in fact, been turned over. And other information from prisoners discredited Jones’ letter.)
Is it just a coincidence that the letter–written by Collins’ friend and former star client–was found at the same time John Ashcroft was trying to get Butch Jones a death sentence (and Collins was fighting it)? Is it just a coincidence that Butch Jones was placed in a jail cell next to the star terror trial witness?
As one prominent Black Detroit Democrat told me, “Everyone knows that Jeffrey Collins was the General Counsel of Young Boys, Inc. And he still is.”
Collins, the Justice Department, defense attorneys, and the judge in the case, Gerald Rosen–in a strange alliance–eventually overturned the case. And all the terrorists are now free. One is even suing for damages related to being in jail. All because of Butch Jones’ letter.
Butch Jones got a reduced sentence for his letter. Justice Department officials claimed that his letter–which says the Bush family deals drugs–helped them fight the War on Terror. Huh? For that, they took his likely death penalty sentence off the table, and he may now serve less than 30 years for gruesomely murdering tens and possibly hundreds of people.
Rick Convertino’s fortune is different. Collins, the Justice Department, and even Judge Rosen himself, engaged in an anonymous media campaign to discredit Convertino (even while the case was still before Rosen). A grand jury has been convened seeking to indict him for the crime of daring to pursue justice against Islamic terrorists. (A father of five young children, he is now making a successful new life as a defense attorney and recently obtained an acquittal from first-degree murder charges for his client, Jay Morningstar, a Michigan State Trooper who shot a homeless man who appeared to be about to attack him.)
The strange story of Butch Jones is a textbook case in how a major drug dealer can make out well in a phony Justice Department war on terror. If he knows the right people in high places.
And how innocent people get burned, while drug dealers and Islamic terrorists get off.

Happy Eid Al-Adha: Muslim Holiday Is Occasion for Anti-Semitic Hate Crime; Costs School District

By Debbie Schlussel
Today is the second day of the Eid Al-Adha, the Islamic holiday marking the several day “Feast of Sacrifice.”
Looks like the sacrifices are tax money for a Muslim-heavy school district in Michigan and the safety of a Jewish teacher, there.
Since Muslims can’t really predict the start of their holidays accurately (they depend on news from our “friends” the Saudis to declare the actual start date), the Dearborn, Michigan school district will lose out on $100,000 for calculating the wrong days to give off for the Eid (Feast).
Said Eide Alawan of Dearborn, a prominent Muslim spokesman in Michigan, and member of the extremist, anti-Semitic, pro-Hezbollah Islamic Center of America mosque: “We live in a western culture. People feel, ‘Well, Christmas is on the 25th every year.’ We don’t do that.”
We’re not so worried about that as we are news about the latest “celebration” of the Muslim holiday in the same Dearborn school district: In honor of the holiday, yesterday, a swastika and anti-Semitic epithets were spray-painted inside Dearborn’s Bryant MIddle School, where a teacher who is Jewish dares to teach. According to the Detroit Free Press, “a Nazi symbol was scrawled along with derogatory remarks direct at the school and a teacher who is Jewish.”
The Free Press article pointedly fails to mention the Muslim dominance in the Dearborn school district or that the vandalism took place on the first day of Eid Al-Adha. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that the “reporter”, Niraj Warikoo, is Muslim and the Free Press’ resident PR agent for Dearborn’s extremist Muslims and their terror supporting ways.
In other Eid Al-Adha news, we note that, in the final rite of the Muslim Hajj, Monday’s ascent to Mount Arafat, Sheik Abdul-Aziz Al-Sheik delivered a very interesting sermon at the mosque atop the mount. He attacked opposition to terrorism, decried calls for revisions in racist, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, anti-American, pro-martyrdom school textbooks, and denounced calls for an end to Islamic human rights abuses. “The soldiers of Allah will be victorious” against “Islam’s enemies.” Gee, just what does he mean by that?
We note that Al-Sheik is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti (top cleric), appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Saudi Royal Family–you know, our “allies in the War on Terror.” Right.

WHY?: Immigration Agency Alerts Illegals on New Plans for Capture

By
We understand ICE’s (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) need for positive press when it comes to capturing illegal alien fugitives in our midst. (There are approximately 536,000 of them.)
To date, ICE’s effort to capture illegals has been a disaster. , ICE’s inability to round-up more than 671 visa violators and deport more than of them in 2004. (That’s ludicrous, considering, there are between 10 and 13 million illegals currently among us.) The agency’s Detention and Removal Operations (which does a lot of good work) doesn’t get the press that the ICE Special Agent In Charge offices get. Plus, the agency’s new queen, , is eager for positive press amidst a barrage of deservedly negative press about her .
But does that mean that ICE needs to alert illegals that the agency is about to get serious–and where it will concentrate its extra Detention and Removal Operations personnel? Gee, why not just tell illegals: Heads up! We’re coming for you, so it’s time to get lost. Check out this map, below, published in today’s USA Today print edition and provided to the paper by ICE (accompanying article is here).

Was disclosure of this map necessary? If we were fugitive illegal aliens, and we saw this map, we’d immediately head to states where there are no black dots.
In the past year, there’s been a lot of bloviating by DHS and ICE “leaders” that they were finally going to get tough on illegals. We hope that’s the case. And we hope the increase in ICE personnel dedicated to this, as detailed in this article, means that–though given past performance, we’re not holding our breath. We’re also not bracing to hear that those who fit the description of 9/11 terrorists–Muslims and Arabs–will finally be rounded up with the . Given what we’ve seen , we’re not enthused.
Still, is it really necessary to give out details about how many new fugitive round-up teams there will be, where they will be concentrated (as provided in today’s USA Today), or even that this is happening at all? We don’t think so. In fact, we’d be happier if we got the news after the fact–like an announcement of all the fugitives newly rounded-up and deported.
This tells us we may never see such good news, and thus, the necessity to announce plans and tip off illegals. It tells us the Bush Administration and Mr. Burns () are still NOT serious about capturing illegals within our borders. Ditto for their incompetent ingenue, Julie Myers, newly-crowned ICE Princess.
Instead of giving alerts to illegals to run and hide, we’d all be better off if ICE spokespeople did a better job of defending their just actions in rounding up and deporting illegals, instead of passing the back. Consider this sympathetic-to-illegals story in today’s Detroit Free Press. In it, Detroit’s ICE spokesman, Greg Palmore, had the opportunity to put forth the agency’s position. But, instead, his office passed the buck back and forth with the Immigration Court:

A spokesperson for the Detroit office of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency that made the decision to deport Marieta Liti, referred questions about the case to the Board of Immigration Appeals in Virginia.
A spokesman there, Greg Gagne, said it is up to the local office to decide how and when to deport immigrants.
