Schlussel Cited by MSNBC Gossip Columnist Jeannette Walls

By
MSNBC’s renowned celebrity and gossip columnist Jeanette Walls writes the following, regarding our post about as an evil Jewish-American doctor:

Are J. Lo and Marc Anthony thinking pink?
Plus: Columnist wants doctors to refuse to treat Gary Busey
The Doctor is Out

Gary Busey might want to think twice before seeking the services of a Jewish doctor.
The often-troubled actor is starring as a Jewish doctor in a Turkish film some are calling anti-Semitic, and one columnist is urging a boycott of Busey.
“Valley of the Wolves – Iraq” reportedly depicts the slaughter of Turks by U.S. troops and, according to the Associated Press, “vilifies the United States.” Busey plays a Jewish-American doctor in the Abu Ghraib prison who cuts out prisoners’ organs and sells them to wealthy folks in New York, London and Tel Aviv.
Columnist Debbie Schlussel, writing for Front Page Magazine, is calling for a boycott of both Busey and his co-star Billy Zane, and fumes: “We have a suggestion for all Jewish-American doctors: Since Gary Busey defamed you, refuse him as a patient.”

Happy Birthday: Reagan Would’ve Been 95, Today

By
Congressional candidate Howard Kaloogian reminds us that today is an important date: Today, would have been the 95th birthday of the greatest President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. I was only in grade school when I helped my dad campaign for Reagan. Jimmy Carter was President, America had a kick me sign around the world, and inflation was in double digits. Oh, and remember the Shah, that Carter escorted out of Iran in favor of free, democratic elections there. Welcome, Khomeini–and ultimately, Ahmadinejad.
The Peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia told us that we would be the first American generation to do worse than our parents, not better. He even suggested bicycling to work to conserve energy. We said “buh-bye” to father of Amy, bro of Billy.
The day Ronald Reagan took office, January 20, 1981, American hostages in Iran were released after 444 days in captivity. Reagan cut taxes and made us feel proud to be Americans again. He said it best when he said, “We have the right to dream heroic dreams,” instead of being co-opted with pessimism and defeat, a la Carter.
Meeting President Reagan for the first time in 1987 was one of the greatest experiences of my life. And I’m proud to be friends with his bright and talented son, Michael.
Ronald Reagan may have passed away, but the spirit of the Reagan Revolution lives on.

Our Entry in Prez Ahmadinejad’s Holocaust Cartoon Contest

By
So let me get this straight: Newspapers in Europe–run by those who are NOT Jewish but are descendants of those who allowed the Holocaust to happen–run anti-Mohammed cartoons. These newspapers are also very anti-Israel and constantly, harshly criticize Israel for its restrained response to much worse Islamic violence than these countries are now experiencing in regard to the Mohammed cartoons. But in response, Iran’s loony, extremist President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sponsors his own Holocaust cartoon contest.
Yup, that’s always the response and the solution: Blame the Jews.
Here’s the official entry into the Ahmadinejad contest. Our entry, entitled “Holocaust Survivors’ Soup For Herr Ahmadinejad,” is below. I think my Holocaust survivor grandmother and late grandfather, as well as my mother–who was born in Bergen Belsen camp–would probably concur:

“Holocaust Survivors’ Soup for Herr Ahmadinejad”

One thing the “esteemed” Mr. Ahmadinejad and the rest of the world can count on: Unlike Muslims worldwide, Jews won’t be rioting and committing violence around the world in response to his obscene, obnoxious cartoon contest.
We’d call this a “clash of civilizations,” but can’t because that would assume that there are TWO civilizations. The cartoon contest is hardly the first hint that there are not.
Given all this, you’d think that our government would start getting tough on Herr Ahmadinejad. But you would be wrong. In fact, yesterday’s Wall Street Journal had a front-pager about how those pushing for a hard line against Iran have been pushed to the Bush back-burner, while those advocating an even softer tack with the nutty Islamic Republic–like –are now setting Bush foreign policy.
How comforting. Maybe when the Iranian nuclear warheads are fully developed and operational, Clueless Condi will realize it’s time to get tough.
Then, it will be too late.

“Religion of Peace” E-mail of the Week: Islamic Male Craves Men w/ Mustaches (Except Chertoff)

By
Mr. Nour Idriss is becoming quite the prolific e-mail stalker. As you’ll recall, the “Religion of Peace” adherent declared, , that he’d like to sexually assault me with a “bsaeball” [sic] bat. He’s chosen to escalate with each classy missive. The latest, though, makes us wonder about his “preferences,” since he expresses a predilection for famous, mustachioed men. To wit:

Justice?: Enron’s Ken Lay Deserves a Fair Trial, Too

By
I commiserate greatly with the people of Enron who lost their pensions and everything for which they worked all their lives. But regardless of that and whether or not former Enron CEOs Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling are guilty as charged, they deserve a fair trial like anyone else. They won’t get one, though.

That’s because Federal Judge Sim Lake has refused to dismiss Juror No. 11. Here’s how USA Today’s Greg Farrell, who is covering the trial, describes the voir dire (preliminary examination to determine competency to give or hear evidence) of the “impartial” Mr. 11, who is blatantly anti-business:

[A] man identified as Juror No. 11 works closely with an engineer who used to be at Enron. The juror also said businessmen who build companies and make lots of money were often driven by greed.
“I think anyone from Billy Sol Estes to T. Boone Pickens, it’s all greed,” the juror said, referring to two colorful Texans of earlier eras. Estes, an acquaintance of former president Lyndon B. Johnson, was convicted of fraud in 1962; Pickens is a successful oilman and corporate raider.
“All the way up. That’s pure greed. They’re trying to meet the bottom line, trying to meet their shareholders,” the juror said.
“Do you mean by greed that they’re committing some crime?” asked Judge Lake.
“I think they’re stretching the legal limits on it,” the juror said. “I’m not sure – I’m not going to say they’re all crooks, but you know …”
“Do you think anybody who is a CEO of a big company is probably a crook?” Lake continued.
“No, I didn’t say that . . . . I just said they walk a line that stretches sometimes the legality of something. They stretch points.”
Lay attorney Ramsey asked if the prospective juror felt his client was greedy. “Yeah, I think so,” he answered.
Later, Judge Lake asked the man if he might be inclined to believe that someone who is greedy must have done something illegal.
“No, not necessarily,” the prospective juror answered. “And I’m not sure – you know, they – they earned their salaries. I’m just – there’s a lot of stuff that goes on that we don’t know about – but, you know, that’s kind of an obscene thing, some of these bonuses and stuff that they get. So that’s just my opinion.”
When the questioning was over, Ramsey and Skilling attorney Petrocelli moved that Juror No. 11 be dropped. Judge Lake refused, saying: “No. I looked at him in the eye and I’ve heard all his questions, and the motion is denied.”

Justice is supposed to be blind, not the judge. But, apparently Judge Lake is the Helen Keller of the bench. (Please, no blind and deaf hate-mail.) Even Islamic terrorists get fairer treatment from the bench, and you can bet this man .
It’s puzzling why high-priced defense attorneys Daniel Petrocelli and Mike Ramsey did not use peremptory challenges to strike this man from the jury. Maybe they are trying to create grounds for appeal.
If you think it’s nuts to care about the admitted, egregious bias of a juror in the Enron CEOs’ trial, think again. Lay and Skilling today, you tomorrow.
Judge Lake should say “buy-bye” to Juror No. 11. He already voted “guilty,” and the trial is yet to begin.

“Munich” Watch: No Oscar Effect for Shlemielberg

By
As today’s USA Today reports, generally there is an “Oscar effect” for films nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
That means that the weekend after Oscar nominations is traditionally a strong one for the nominated films. But not so for Steven Spielberg’s “,” the film that morally equivocates Islamic terrorists with the law enforcement who try to stop them; and says that we shouldn’t fight the War on Terror.

Shlemielberg: Movie Audiences Prefer “When A Stranger Calls” to “When Soft on Terror Calls”

Despite the Hollywood culturatti’s bestowing of five Oscar nominations on Shlemielberg’s film, it did not see a pick-up at the box office, despite adding 171 screens. “Munich” is in 16th place after the weekend, earning only $1.675 million.
We think it’s great that, while Shlemielberg’s “Munich” never hit the top five at the box office, on “Oscar Effect” weekend, the number one film is NOT one of these silly political nominees but a non-political, if bad and unnecessary, remake of “” (which made almost $22 million).
So sad, too bad, Shlemielberg. Oh, and, by the way, “Have you checked the children?”

Does John Travolta Support Cuban Tyranny? & Did He Break the Law?

By
A local Detroit TV station reported that John Travolta was smoking Cuban cigars in Windsor, Canada during Super Bowl Weekend. And a Detroit News report says “Vinnie Barbarino”‘s alter ego was there (in Windsor).

John Travolta: Did This Cigar Afficionado Smoke Cuban Cigars?

We hope that’s not true (about the Cuban cigar-puffing). But if it is, we would not be surprised (and he’s breaking the law). Many celebs think it’s okay to violate the Cuban embargo. They apparently don’t care about Communist tyranny that has repressed a people–a tyranny where “artists” like Travolta are jailed for years of torture merely because they mentioned the word “democracy” or “elections.”
We think it’s interesting that “democrats” like and so strongly support “democratic elections” when the voters are supporters of HAMAS and other Islamic terrorism. Yet, when they are repressed, freedom-loving Cubans with much less will to destroy us and just 90 miles from our shores, the Hollywood elites are supporting the repression, smoking Cuban cigars and making trips to Cuba to gush over el Presidente.
So does John Travolta support Cuba’s Castroian Communist repression? Only he can answer that question.
But if he did puff on Cuban Cigars in Canada, the answer is yes and John Travolta broke the law, for which he should be prosecuted.

Would You Like Your Driver’s License Exam in Modern Arabic . . . or Classical?

By
It’s, unfortunately, nothing new that most states offer driver’s license exams in other languages, like Spanish in Florida and California and Arabic, here in Michigan.
But did you know that in Alabama the state offers its driver’s license exam in TWELVE(!) languages other than English? And last week, Alabama Judge William Shashy upheld this multiple-language offering, in a lawsuit filed by ProEnglish.
Just to remind you, here is one of the Arabic street signs we have in Michigan:

We give kudos to Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming, all of which require residents to take their driver’s license exams in ENGLISH.
If we continue to have unfettered borders, unlimited/uncontrolled immigration, and absurd accommodations to language and cultural differences, the character of our country will continue to degrade downward. Judge Shashy and other spineless Americans like him are the cause.

More Immigration Clueless: ICE Princess Makes Easy, Deserving Target

By

*** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE ****

Julie L. Myers, the unqualified Bush immigration chief not yet on the job a full month, demands respect and attention.
Last week, she got some–attention (not respect). Here is how a reader described Myers’ (chief of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE) press conference regarding border issues. We enjoyed reading it and think you will, too. (So happy the President hired the least qualified candidate to do the job regarding one of America’s most dire problems.)
Clueless: ICE Princess Julie L. Myers
Can’t Pronounce “Nuevo Laredo,” Won’t Stop Illegal Immigration
(Artwork Courtesy of Our Friend David Lunde)

Late last week, I caught a bit on Lou Dobbs (CNN) of Julie Myers.
What a joke! Let me correct that–how insane that she got this
appointment. It is a total disgrace, and her lack of any kind of experience certainly was there, for ALL to see.
While she was at the microphone, TRYING to give this tough talk on immigration and ICE/DHS, which she totally f—ed up. (Sorry, no other word to describe what I saw/heard out of her mouth, her lack of experience, and her body language.)
There were standing behind her, I am assuming, EXPERIENCED agents (5 or 6 of them), and you should have seen the look on their faces, while she was talking (to try to describe their look, was as if they were in TOTAL humiliation)!!!! Here they were, probably with eons of law enforcement experience, watching their lack-of-experience, Barbie-doll boss make a total fool out of herself……..and THEM.
Even though she read off her “script”, she stumbled and fumbled through her supposedly “tough, firm words” terribly. It was very pathetic to see this. About three to four times, she had to say “Nuevo Laredo”

[Mexico](border town and entry point of illegals). Every time, she couldn’t even pronounce it and had to repeat herself.
[DEBBIE SCHLUSSEL: Nuevo Laredo is a Mexican border town (contiguous with Laredo, Texas), where significant drug-dealing and gang activity have resulted in much violent crime and many murders, that have spilled over into Laredo, Texas. It is also a point where many illegal aliens escape into the United States. That Julie Myers is so unfamiliar with Nuevo Laredo–that she repeatedly cannot even pronounce it correctly–should tell us everything we need to know about her intent and ability to get tough on illegal immigration, ie., non-existent.]

After she was done, I give the CNN reporter total
credit for saying how she got this job (avoiding the proper channels, how Bush appointed her). The comments made were a deserved slap in the face to Myers and her cronies–Chertoff, Bush, etc.
What a sad day/days for us, Americans, and how we are being “protected.” It’s friggin scarier everyday that passes.

*** UPDATE: Looks like the San Antonio Express-News agrees with our reader’s description of Myers, above, and CNN’s report. The paper had little positive to say on Myers or her press conference. Nice pic, too. . . .
