How nice. PBS a/k/a “Palestinian Broadcasting System” is proud of its new environmental architecture show, especially because it’s narrated by Brad Pitt.
The show, “Design: e2,” says PBS, “aims to bring green architectural issues to a whole new audience.”
Brad Pitt seems to enjoy lecturing us on how to build expensive, energy saving abodes that only a high-tech gazillionaire could love. Pitt and show producers declare that his involvement “will allow us to educate more viewers that we has [sic] ever hoped about the importance of green building.”

Hmmm . . . . Didn’t Brad Pitt and dumped, cheated on wife, Jennifer Aniston, just sell their 11,000-square-foot-plus house for $25,000,000.00? We wonder how much energy was wasted heating and cooling 11,000-plus square feet. A pool and EIGHT bathrooms. How much water was wasted?
Advice on environmentally friendly design? Save it for yourself, Brad Pitt.

Remember President Bush’s constant gushing over Pakistani leader Pervez Musharraf for being a “moderate Muslim ally of the U.S. in the war on terror”?
Remember how, last year, Jewish liberal leaders were climbing all over each other to shake hands with Pakistani leader Pervez Musharraf because he publicly announced his intention to be friendly with Jews and Israel?
I am among those who did not believe either Bush or the liberal Jewish leaders. And RJ, a loyal Indian reader of this site, has proven me correct. RJ sends us the following Pakistani Army leaflet, as posted on an Indian military website.

This leaflet is an outrage. It is being dropped by the Pakistani military over the mountain region in Pakistan, where they are battling elements of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. R.J. translates for us:

This leaflet uses the phrase, “Yahood i Khanood” (derogatory for Jews and Hindus) all over it. The leaflet says Jews (Yahood) and Khanood (Hindus) are plotting to undermine Pakistan and the bad guys are their (Jews & Hindu) stooges.

As R.J. says, “Pakistan–a moderate Muslim nation? So much for moderation.”
Amen, R.J. Couldn’t have said it better. If only the President and Jewish liberal leaders would get a clue.

A dedicated Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agent tells us–and The Washington Times confirmed–that the Montgomery County, Maryland school district gave student marchers at the illegal alien protests in Washington, DC, credit for a community service day for participating in the rallies.
This is the “new” community service? Whatever happened to helping the poor, disabled, and disadvantaged? Or cleaning a dirty river?
Time for the Bush Department of Education to send its Special Agents (it has them) to investigate this fraud. Oops, we forgot, it’s the Bush Department of Education. Motto: Over 10 million illegals (and their kids) served.

In our ongoing coverage and commentary regarding the trial of Al-Qaeda terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui, we discussed the heroism of and the late .
Both of them arrested Moussaoui and both complained that the FBI brass would not allow them a warrant to search Moussaoui’s belongings and computer–despite Samit’s desperate, exasperating multiple attempts to inculcate them with the plain, glaring facts about Moussoui.
But we forgot another agent, then-INS Special Agent John Weess. Agent Weess–as documented by Moussaoui trial testimony, the 9/11 Commission, multiple Justice Department reports, and media coverage–was a vital part of the arrest and investigation of Moussaoui, and was there side-by-side with Samit (and Nordmann), desperately trying to save American lives in the face of thick-skulled, intransigent FBI supervisors.

Weess was the co-case agent on the Moussaoui case (along with Samit) and was also desperately trying to get the warrant to search Moussaoui. Weess also interviewed Moussaoui, along with Samit, on 8/16 and 8/17 of 2001, about three weeks before the 9/11 attacks.
We can say with confidence that Agent Weess would back up Samit’s testimony at the Moussaoui trial, as well as CNN reports regarding Moussaoui telling lies to Federal Agents.
All three of these agents are American heroes who deserve our respect and gratitude–not the treatment they’ve had thus far. As , that should be reserved for the FBI brass who allowed Moussaoui to go unexamined until 3,000 were murdered.

In the days after 9/11, we heard a lot of pap about how the hijackers “hijacked their religion,” Islam.
Really?
If the never-before-heard tapes of United Flight 93 played at today’s session of the Zacarias Moussaoui terror trial are any indication, we think otherwise. As usual, the most common utterance–repeated constantly–by hijacker Ziad Jarrah and accomplices was: “Allah Hu Akbar! (Allah is the Greatest!) Allah Hu Akbar!”
It begs the question: Did they really hijack their religion? Or DID IT HIJACK THEM?

To my Jewish friends and readers, Happy Passover. To my Christian friends and readers, Happy Easter.
In observance of the first two days of Passover, I will be out of blog commission. I will try to have some new items for my webmaster to post in the interim, but otherwise, I’ll be back on Monday.
The holiday of Passover begins at sundown tonight and lasts eight days (on the first two and last two of which it’s forbidden to blog or work). We celebrate Passover, one of the major Jewish holidays, to commemorate Jewish slavery in Egypt and our exodus and freedom from it. This is especially meaningful at this time, as Islamists from Egypt and around greater Arabia want to do us harm and re-enslave not just Jews but Christians, non-believers, and anyone who is not as extreme as they are.
We must celebrate our freedom while we still have it.

Passover Matzoh
On the first two nights of Passover, we conduct a ceremony around dinner that is called a “Seder” (literally means “order” in Hebrew). We eat various foods that symbolize various aspects of slavery in Egypt, freedom from it, and the exodus to Israel. (At that time, the only Palestinians were Jews.) During the entire eight days, we do not eat bread or anything leavened, and instead eat a flatbread, called, “matzoh.” We do so because the Jews had to leave Egypt to freedom so quickly, the dough was on their backs and did not have time to rise. Also, the flat bread is considered the bread of affliction and poverty that Jews ate as slaves. (Because of this, during Passover, we also do not eat foods with various ingredients like corn syrup, etc.)

In past commentary on the mass illegal alien protests around the country, we have wondered aloud . We’ve also wondered aloud . It would be like shooting fish in a barrell and very efficient.
Now, we know the answer. We assumed that and other Homeland Security officials ordered agents to stay away from the protests and not arrest anyone. Yes, the same ICE Princess who pledged to Congress that she was serious about illegal immigration. Serious, apparently, about letting it continue.
And, apparently, our assumption was correct.
We got word from ICE agents in Michigan and Ohio that they wanted to attend the rallies (which, in Detroit, were RIGHT in front of their building, the McNamara Federal Bldg.). They were ordered by their boss, Michigan/Ohio ICE Special Agent in Charge to stay away from the rallies.

Agents are angry that they were not allowed to arrest the illegals who were right in front of their noses, rubbing their illegal presence in the agents’ faces. And agents tell us that they are told this was a nationwide policy coming directly from the ICE Princess ordering them to ignore the illegal alien rallies and forbidding them from making arrests. This is a disgrace.

Ghada Jamshir appears to be a brave woman for saying what she did on Al-Arabiyah. Now, she needs to hire a bodyguard and get a gun. Her life is in danger.

This letter is in response to the brochure you sent me, entitled, “05/06 UMS Season.”
Last year, I called the Society in response to a previous brochure you sent me, regarding the “Arab World Music Festival,” sponsored by the Society. That brochure featured a map of the Middle East, in which the State of Israel was eliminated. My daughter, , a U-M alumna, appropriately called this, “a map of hate.”
This year’s announcement, on page 77 of your schedule, is even more egregious. At the top of the page, you list three musical performances, “Music of the Levant: Syria, Lebanon, Palestine.” The group from “Palestine” is listed as: “Trio Joubran . . . hails from the Biblical City of Nazareth.”
If you had bothered to check, you could have easily determined that “the Biblical City of Nazareth” is in Israel. It is within the so-called “Green Line.” That is, it was part of Israel–even before the 1967 war. It is not in the disputed territories. Perhaps you did not know that, but surely, Mr. Osama Siblani, Editor and Publisher of the Arab-American News, and Mr. , the Executive Director and Founder of ACCESS, did know this. [DS: Both are sponsors of this “event.”]
It is shameful that you have allowed your musical schedule to be used for the symbolic genocide of the State of Israel, which these gentlemen would like to perpetrate. You are complicit in that act.

Attention, University of Michigan & ACCESS: Nazareth is in ISRAEL.
I thought that music is the “universal language.” Middle-Eastern music is not the exclusive property of Arabs or Muslims. It is also the heritage of Christians and Jews who have lived in the Middle East from time immemorial. About 65% of the Jews living in Israel are themselves or the children of refugees, who were expelled from Arab and Muslim countries–from Morocco to Afghanistan and from Yemen to Syria. This music is as much part of Israeli culture as western music. Exponents of “Mizrachi” or Middle-Eastern music in Israel include Daklon, Yoel Sharabi, the late Ofra Haza, Chaim Zadok, Chaim Moshe, Joe Amar, and the Inbal Dance Group.
The Yemeni Muslim Community of Detroit had to invite a Jewish Yemenite group from New York to perform at their annual festival, last year. [DS: They did so, because they want their holy women to be modest and not dance in front of men. But no similar respect for the modesty of the infidel Jewish Yemenite women they beseeched to dance for them.]
Several years ago, while touring Israel, my family and I spent a night in the Northern Israeli town of Nahariya. We were delighted to see that half of the families enjoying dinner at the hotel restaurant were Arabs wearing kefiyehs and traditional garb. You see, 20% of the citizens of Israel are Arabs. In contrast to the Muslims of Gaza, the Israelis are tolerant of all cultures. Recently, the Jews of Gaza were forced to leave, taking even their dead with them, because of the intolerance of the Arab Muslim inhabitants. When we left the restaurant, we passed two banquet halls and heard Middle Eastern music coming out of them. These were weddings of Middle-Eastern Jewish families.
I am taking the liberty of enclosing a photo of Cheikh Raymond Leyris, a Jewish Algerian, who was the leading exponent of “Malouf,” Algerian urban music. Cheikh Raymond was also a strong advocate of friendship between Muslim and Jew. Unfortunately, Cheikh Raymond was shot dead by a Muslim assassin on June 22, 1961, while walking through downtown Constantine, Algeria, with his young daughter.

Instead of using music to unite, the sponsors of the “Arab World Music Summit”–like the assassins of Cheikh Raymond–use music to demonize and destroy.

****SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE: Wolverine Packing Co./National Meat Assocation Claim no Illegals. I report, you decide. ****
Many parties are asking me for contact information for Wolverine Packing Company, a Detroit meat-packing plant which fired 15 immigrant women after they missed a day of work to attend a March 27 illegal alien protest march.
It is detailed in today’s Detroit Free Press by resident Islamist reporter Niraj Warikoo, and those who’ve contacted me want to congratulate Wolverine for firing the women.
Not so fast. While I applaud the fact that Wolverine fired the women, it is not because Wolverine is so dedicated to protecting our borders from foreign invasion. Just the opposite. Wolverine, according to the article, employs illegal aliens, including–apparently–some of the fired women. (The article says they are “undocumented workers,” but you know what that means).

Wolverine is just concerned with its bottom line, period. And that’s no reason–on its own–for any congratulatory regards from anyone. The fact that it will flout U.S. immigration law to meet that bottom line is a cause for jeers from us and shame for the company.
But, and the other corporations that look the other way while giving American jobs to law-breaking invaders, Wolverine blames it on an independent contractor that does the hiring. Wolverine doesn’t know a thing about their immigration status, claims Wolverine manager Jay Bonahoom.
Uh-uh. And there is a Santa and the tooth fairy, too.
I’d hope that Michigan/Ohio Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge Brian Moskowitz a/k/a “Abu Moskowitz” would investigate Wolverine to see how many illegal aliens the company still employs and arrest and deport them.
But then, I’d have to believe in Santa and the tooth fairy also. And I don’t.
****UPDATE: Detroit’s WXYZ-TV/Channel Seven is reporting that the illegal alien protesters are seeking legal help from the ACLU and EEOC. How about a little help for us from the I-C-E? Surprise, surprise, the women interviewed needed a translator (no English) and refused to have their faces shown. Gee, I wonder why.
****UPDATE #2: The National Meat Association claims its member, Wolverine Packing Co. is being defamed by the Detroit Free Press and its reporter, Niraj Warikoo, and that Wolverine does not have illegal aliens.
But if they were not illegal, why did they refuse to have their faces shown on local television news in Detroit, and why did they need a translator (they can’t speak English)?

Wolverine Packing is a member of ours and I felt compelled to offer you a correction today. Despite mistaken media claims to the contrary, the company does not believe that any of the fired workers were undocumented. Here’s the quote from the company’s statement: “Almost all of our Latino workers showed up for work that day except for a small group of contract workers from a local staffing company. We use a small amount of contract labor to supplement our full time force. This company has given us their assurances that these workers are documented.” The information you have about there being undocumented workers at the plant comes from erroneous media reports.
