I’m away observing the last two days of Passover, but here are this weekend’s movie reviews that I’ve prepared in advance. I liked three out of the four new movies in theaters this weekend, so things are getting better (I hope). Read the rest of this entry »

By Debbie Schlussel

I am away in observance of the last two days of Passover, but I’ve prepared this review of Chappaquiddick (Rated PG-13), in theaters today, in advance. G-d bless Byron Allen, Entertainment Studios CEO and executive producer of this movie. Read the rest of this entry »

Stormy Daniels: Is That All There Is? Bill Clinton Innoculated Us Against This Stuff

By Debbie Schlussel

Last night, like many Americans (though not as many as they thought), I watched the “60 Minutes” interview with porn star Stephanie Clifford a/k/a “Stormy Daniels.” And, when it was over, I had just one thought: Read the rest of this entry »

7 Days in Entebbe – Disgusting Palestinian Propaganda

By Debbie Schlussel

Israel’s 1976 raid on the Entebbe, Uganda airport is one of the most daring, heroic, and successful rescue missions ever. And the trailer for the movie, “7 Days in Entebbe” (Rated PG-13)–in theaters today–pretends to agree with that assessment. But it’s a bait-and-switch, a cruel tease by a poisonous snake. The movie is actually a disgusting, boring exercise in bulls–t to the nth degree, and nothing more than anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian propaganda. This flick is simply a flat-out lie. Don’t support this tripe by going to see it. Read the rest of this entry »

Oscar-Nominated Crap: The Shape of Water

By Debbie Schlussel

I’m waaay behind in my online movie reviews (you can always hear my current reviews live on Larry The Cable Guy’s SiriusXM show most Friday mornings and on the Richard Dixon Show on Birmingham, AL’s Talk 99.5 every Friday at 12:30 p.m. Eastern). But I wanted to catch up and post reviews of Oscar-nominated movies for which I haven’t yet posted a review. Most of them are horrible. And I’m starting with the highly overrated “The Shape of Water,” which is Rated R. Read the rest of this entry »

Black Panther: Affirmative Action for Superhero Movies

By Debbie Schlussel

Unlike most other movie critics, I don’t believe in affirmative action in movie reviews. You don’t get graded on a race scale. And that’s why I’m not raving about “Black Panther,” in theaters today. It’s at best a middling, unremarkable superhero flick. It’s definitely nothing to gush over. Read the rest of this entry »

About Melania’s Pantsuit

By Debbie Schlussel

I know clothes are a minor detail, but something was bothering me about Melania Trump at her husband’s State Of The Union address to the joint session of Congress. And it wasn’t just the separate motorcade she pointedly took (which I also didn’t like). Read the rest of this entry »
