I meant to post this awhile ago but didn’t get to it. When I saw this relationship “advice” question in USA Weekend, I had to laugh.

Go green for love?
I finally found a guy who loves me completely. The problem? He’s very “green”: crystal underarm stuff, composting, the works. I can’t relate at all, but I try. Should I just go all out and immerse myself in his good causes for the sake of our relationship?

ICK! Run like hell (in the opposite direction). Crystal underarm deoderant a/k/a “stuff” GUH-ROSS!

Of course, USA Weekend relationship columnist Dennie Hughes gives the standard, feminist “don’t lose yourself in the guy by taking up his interests.” While I don’t normally agree with that anti-male strategy, in this case, it’s definitely on target.
Still, she goes on with this absurdity:

You’d be surprised, says Kate Harrison, author of “The Green Bride Guide,” by some of the simple ways that you can go green and make your relationship red-hot. . . . Surprise him with a monogrammed cloth grocery bag to help replace plastic.

That’s “red-hot”? Hilarious.

This is one of those things that makes you feel old. Some movie publicists tell me that Thursday is the 25th anniversary of an important movie, “Red Dawn,” which depicts a Soviet Communist invasion of America and a band of American teens–the “Wolverines”–who heroically fight them off. (IMDB differs and says it was released on August 10, 1984, so I’ll repost on this, again, then.)
American Cinemathique sent me word that the organization will be marking “Red Dawn’s” 25th anniversary with a special showing and discussion at the historic, restored Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, on Thursday Night at 7:30 p.m. So if you live in the Los Angeles area, this is a great opportunity to see this excellent movie as it was meant to be seen–on the big screen. Although it was panned by many critics (a/k/a liberals) at the time, “Red Dawn” is a great movie that stands the test of time . . . if you realize that the Communist threat of yesterday in the movie could easily be the Islamic threat of today, taking over our country unless we stop them. Only a few years after “Red Dawn” came out, the Soviet Union fell. But several of the Communist leaders on our own Western Hemisphere, in Latin America, who were around then–like Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega–are back or have been replaced by far worse, such as Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and Bolivia’s Evo Morales.
As I wrote in a previous column:

At the time it came out, we were in the midst of fighting the Soviets and other forces of Communist hegemony in the Cold War. That’s why despite universal critical panning, the movie was a box office success, with Americans paying to see it in droves. It was an important film that embodied the fight Ronald Reagan was preventing in our future by fighting–and beating–it during his Presidency. If only President Bush had done the same in the last 6.5 years, instead of kowtowing to it. Unlike Ronald Reagan, his actions insure that “Black Dawn” will not just be a movie.

I’ve always said that “Red Dawn” and “Arlington Road” are both great movies that should be remade into timely movies with Muslims replacing Communists and homegrown militias. They are the current threat. But Hollywood refuses to believe it. Given that mentality, it’s in fact miraculous that “Red Dawn” was ever made. Don’t look for “Green Dawn” or “Black Dawn”–about the Muslim invasion–to ever get greenlit.
And as we celebrate this great, important movie, let’s not forget its star, Patrick Swayze, whose heroic battle against pancreatic cancer has taken a turn for the worse. He has lived far longer than most who are struck with this horrible disease. And, even though I’ve been critical of some of his political statements in the past (here and here), I don’t forget his contribution in starring in “Red Dawn.” And we should keep him in our prayers.

The buzz around the next installment of the dumb reality show, “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here,” is that deposed, indicted Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich will be a contestant.
But that’s not what struck me. What struck me is that a sensationalistic, talentless hack who continues to be employed by FOX News–Geraldo Rivera, the Frito Bandito of “journalism”–will be a contestant.
Was there no-one at FOX News who had the guts to say no to Geraldo–the pro-Palestinian, pro-illegal alien weirdo? Was there no-one at News Corp who said, “No, Jerry Rivers, despite bimbo and himbo talk show hosts and the loofah king (Bill O’Reilly), we’re actually trying to appear like a respectable news outlet, and you can’t do a reality show and continue to ‘report’ on our network”?

No, there wasn’t. And that’s why, despite top ratings on Cable News, people really don’t take FOX News seriously as a journalism outfit. It’s more like a bimbo-fest that milks and patronizes conservatives, but doesn’t really mean it.

Why is the Department of Homeland Security sponsoring a Holocaust Remembrance Day event honoring Muslims?
Today is “Yom HaShaoah“–Holocaust Remembrance Day–on which we remember the Six Million Jews murdered by the Nazis. Ironically, this year it comes just a week after ICE agents tried to deport John Demjanjuk, a Nazi murderer of 30,000 of those Jews. And on that same day, last week, Pat Buchanan reminded us that the anti-Semitism of the Nazis is alive and well, as he wrote in a column that the Jews are murdering Nazi Demjanjuk as (he falsely alleges) they also killed Christ. The next day, Sean Hannity had this modern day Goebbels on his show as his anointed spokesperson for the tax day Tea Parties.
Even though today is the official Holocaust Remembrance Day, the day will be observed, next week on April 29th, by the Department of Homeland Security, its sub-agency, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other federal agencies. For the record, I do not believe federal agencies should be observing or recognizing Holocaust Remembrance Day, just as I also think they should stop hosting Ramadan Iftar dinners for Muslims.

The only purpose to hold a Holocaust Remembrance Day event is to remind DHS officials what will happen here if they continue to allow Muslims to freely immigrate here with a less-than-six-minute background check and if they continue to pander to Muslim extremists that are already here. The DHS street agents already know this and need no reminder. It’s their snot-nosed, do-nothing (but kiss Islamo-ass) bureaucrat leaders who need the lesson.
But that’s not the purpose of the DHS/TSA-sponsored Holocaust Remembrance Day event, held next week. Nope. The purpose of their event is to honor Muslims. Their message: Let’s ignore the tens of thousands of Muslims who made up a special unit of the SS. Let’s ignore the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem meeting with Hitler, asking him to speed up the Final Solution of Jews, and begging him to export the Holocaust to North Africa, Israel, and the rest of the Middle East. I have several books of World War II Propaganda from both sides. On the Nazi side, the Muslim Grand Mufti of Jerusalem is the author of lots of pro-Nazi pamphlets in Arabic, used to recruit Muslims to the SS. But let’s ignore all of that–all of the Muslim-Nazi collaboration. Instead, let’s remember a single Bosnian Muslim who saved a book. BARF!

Can you believe that, to our agency, the Holocaust is now about a Muslim?

Note that the only two speakers the Feds picked for their Holocaust Remembrance Day are: 1) a Muslim; and 2) a Jewish woman–Annette Lantos (late Congressman Tom Lantos’ wife)–who long ago converted herself and her kids to the Mormon Church. Those are interesting choices, given that the theme of their Holocaust event is “We Surived. We Lived On.” Are they sending Jews a message? Sure seems like it. To add insult to injury, the descendants of Joseph Kennedy, a man who sat on and then threw away 5,000 visas the British gave him to save Jews from the Holocaust, are moderating this outrageous and unnecessary event.

The U.S. Congress established the Holocaust Days of Remembrance as our Nation’s annual commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to the victims. The 16th Annual Federal Interagency Holocaust Remembrance Program will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is a Federal sponsor of this year’s program and the theme of this year’s program is “We Survived. We Live On.” Kerry Kennedy, daughter of the late U.S. Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy and a founder and board member of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights, will moderate the program, which will feature music and two guest speakers. Annette Lantos, a Jewish woman [DS: WHO CONVERTED TO MORMONISM] born in Hungary and the wife of the late Congressman Tom Lantos (the only Holocaust survivor elected to Congress) will discuss her experiences in escaping from Hungary to Switzerland during World War II. Dr. Edib Korkut will discuss his great uncle, Dervis Korkut, a Bosnian Muslim who hid the Sarajevo Haggadah (a Jewish religious text) from the Nazi Army. It is the oldest Sephardic Haggadah in the world, originating in Barcelona around 1350.
The April 29 Holocaust Remembrance Program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the historic Lincoln Theater at 1215 U. Street, NW in Washington. The Lincoln Theater is conveniently located near the Metro Green Line, Cardoza Station (take the 13th Street exit). Admission is free and open to the public. Pamela Anderson, avowed vegetarian and animal rights idiot, is promoting the opening of a steakhouse, where steak–you know, from animals–is served.
This is the same Hepatitis C-infected, silicone valleyed bim who demanded that the State of Kentucky remove its statue of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder “Col.” Harlan Sanders from its Capitol building.
And since Anderson is a member of terrorist group, PETA–People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (which on this site we refer to as PUTAh–People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals and humans), you’d think that the group would be upset by Ms. Anderson’s promotion of a joint in which the carnivorous pleasure of People Eating Tasty Animals is central. But, no. PUTAh, which tells us we can’t eat animals, is defending the peroxided, aging slut and former Baywatch babe.

Pamela Anderson is turning a blind eye to her hardcore vegetarian, anti-meat beliefs — and it’s all for her deep appreciation of strip clubs.

Meat a Hypocrite

Anderson, who’s been an obnoxiously loud animal activist and PETA spokesperson, is on board to help celebrate the upcoming opening of a strip club — which happens to be part of a New York steakhouse. . . .
Here’s PETA’s statement: “Pam is not a host [DS: YES, SHE IS] but may be attending as an invited guest [DS: PAID “GUEST”], and since steakhouses nowadays have some of the best salad bars and veggie options around, we’re sure she’ll find plenty to eat should she attend.”
So what happens if KFC — with whom Pam waged war against — opens a strip club and “invites” Pam as a guest? Would she go if they too had a nice salad bar? We’re guessing if the price is right. . .

Today, winners of the annual Pulitzer Prize awards were announced. The award is kind of the like the Nobel prize, except for American journalism (and the arts–literature, music, and plays). And just as biased as the Nobel.
Today’s winners included a series, which attacked Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s efforts to enforce immigrations laws.

The judges also awarded a Pulitzer in local reporting to the East Valley Tribune of Mesa, Ariz., for revealing how a sheriff’s focus on immigration enforcement endangered investigations of other crimes.

Yes, because illegal aliens never commit crimes, right? Does this paper’s Pulitzer-winning “local reporting” also include “revelaing how a cleaning woman’s focus on dirt endangered her cleaning efforts”? Just wondering.
Remember this politically-motivated “journalism award” the next time someone brags they’ve won a Pulitzer.
Ironic–no, actually, a complete lie–that the Pulitzer Prize medal bears this claim:

“Disinterested”? PUH-LEEZE. Pretty much every Pulitzer Prize in journalism goes to something written with a clear (and usually liberal) agenda.

You may or may not be familiar with “Perez Hilton” (real name: Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr.), the gay, Cuban-American blogger who makes hundreds of thousands by scribbling comments over celebrity pics (and gushing over the Obama family).
He was a judge in Donald Trump’s “Miss USA” bimbo-fest, last night and is upset over Miss California’s answer to his gay marriage question. I’ll admit, she was clueless. (“Opposite Marriage”?) First she lauded her claim that in America people have the right to choose whether they want to have a gay marriage, which is really only true in a few states. Then, she claimed she only supports straight marriage in her family. It was a dumb answer. But Perez Hilton clearly was upset that she didn’t abide by his pro-marriage orthodoxy. Yup, you’ll never win this stupid bimbo-fest if you give a conservative answer to anything. But, then, a conservative wouldn’t be in this stupid “contest.”

It’s bad enough that hardened criminals and others who refuse to work a legitimate job sell illegal aliens social security numbers that are fake, stolen, or taken from a dead person. It’s bad enough that these same parties also sell illegal aliens fake IDs and documents.
But, now, even a highly-paid TV star has been caught getting in on the action. What’s Antwon Tanner’s excuse? And how many illegal aliens did he help enter or remain in the country to steal or undercut American jobs.
The successful actor earns tens of thousands of dollars for his regular appearances on the CW Network’s “One Tree Hill,” which was, until very recently, one of the most popular TV shows for teens and 20-somethings. He’s appeared on the show for years. Yet, all while he was making the big bucks on TV, he was apparently in the fake Social Security number and ID bid’ness.

Antwon Tanner:
Greedy, Highly Paid TV Star Sold Out America’s Borders
Was he that greedy? Apparently, so. Congrats to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who caught this scumbag (feel free to e-mail me). Their (ICE’s) involvement in the case signals that they must have believed or had evidence that Tanner’s social security number and fake ID merchandise was ending up in the hands of illegal aliens.

Antwon Tanner, a successful actor and regular on the popular American teen drama One Tree Hill, was charged yesterday with trafficking in social security cards and numbers in federal court in New York.
Tanner, 35, plays a character named Antwon “Skills” Taylor on the show, set in a town in North Carolina. He has a long list of acting credits, including a role in the movie Coach Carter and TV appearances on Boston Public, CSI and NYPD Blue.
He was caught in a sting run by immigration and customs enforcement agents. An undercover agent, through an informant, ended up buying 16 social security numbers and three fake cards from Tanner over the phone for more than $1,000, according to a law enforcement official.
Social security numbers – unassigned, from real people or from dead people – can be used for identity theft, credit card fraud, or to get false passports or other identification documents. The charges didn’t specify where Tanner got the numbers and cards or how he thought they would be used.

Note that the sixteen SS numbers and three fake ID cards are only what the agents caught. The indictment in USA v. Antwon Tanner says that Tanner was engaging in this illicit commerce of the SS numbers and fake IDS from December 2005 to July of 2008. Likely, he sold a whole lot more.
Unfortunately, the most he faces is five years in prison. Just watch–he’ll probably get probation.
Hey, Antwon, thanks for selling out America, the country that made you fabulously wealthy for uttering a few stupid lines and having hot sex scenes with the blonde who plays your friend’s mother.

During the campaign, drunk driver, ex-fake Republican, and bloated former NBA player Charles Barkley eagerly campaigned for his new BBFF [Best Black Friend Forever], Barack Hussein Obama. And the two homies was tight.
But now, everything ain’t a’ight. Charles Barkley whines that Obama is acting like a Presidential “Ms. Thang.”

Charles Barkley, on NBC’s Tonight Show Friday, said he used to talk frequently with Barack Obama the candidate. But, says Barkley, President Obama doesn’t return calls: “And I don’t like being big-timed.”

He wasn’t joking. Can’t say I feel sorry for him, though. Remember when he said, “That’s what I hate about f-cking White people”? (In this case, the “f” word was used as an adjective, not the usual verb he performed with groupies.)

Yet another feud to add to my list of favorite feuds I wish would keep on going forever and that both sides would lose.

While the mainstream media and even so many clueless conservatives moan about Iran’s arrest and conviction of BBC/NPR “reporter” Roxana Saberi, you’ll hear no tears from me. Ditto for the two reporters detained in North Korea, including execrable Oprah “reporter” Lisa Ling’s sister.
I couldn’t care less that the Iranian apologist Saberi is a dual American-Iranian citizen or that she was a Miss America contestant. The “American” part of this woman long ago died, but has suddenly rebirthed itself, now that the government for which she cheerled, actually turned out to be the way she pretended it wasn’t.

American-Iranian Apologist “Reporter” Got What She Deserved
Roxana Saberi made her career as an apologist for Iran in her gushing reports for BBC, NPR (National Public Radio a/k/a National “Palestinian” Radio), and other media outlets for whom she freelanced over how “liberal” the country is. One of those pandering reports, ironically, was from a soccer match, where others of her gender are not allowed to attend and are sent to jail when they do. But not her. She was privileged in Iran and used that privilege as a platform to be a blatant sop. But she used her privileged position to promote the country endlessly and unapologetically. And now that she’s been arrested and tried, it’s poetic justice at its finest.
While Ms. Saberi could travel to and from Iran at will, hundreds of Iranian Jews are still not allowed to leave. When one of them does leave, his/her family members are held hostage by the government of Iran, until they return. Instead of covering things like this, Ms. Saberi painted a picture of Iran as Candyland, where everything’s coming up lollipops and gum drops. Even her father, Reza Saberti of Fargo, acknowledged, she’s “only used her position to promote this country [Iran]. For this woman, I’m supposed to be concerned? Whatever she gets, she deserves. Maybe her story will teach other far-left reporters that apologizing for Iran won’t protect you, even in Iran.
And I’m really not too concerned about the fates of Laura Ling [propagandist Lisa Ling’s sister] and Euna Lee. Who told them to go to North Korea? Who put a gun to Roxana Saberi’s head ordering her to go to Iran?
All of them knew the risks about these countries, Iran and North Korea. Yet, they chose to go to these countries anyway. They aren’t like some of the innocent people in those countries, who wish for human rights and want to leave but can’t get out. These are women who went to dangerous places and are shocked–shocked!–when those dangerous places are exactly as dangerous as even your average naif knows. You play with snakes, you get bitten.
I won’t give it a second thought if all three of them rot in jail forever. Sadly, their lives are “more important” than the lives of innocent victims of Iran and North Korea, those who didn’t chose to go there but want to get out. And sadly, Saberi’s, Ling’s, and Lee’s lives are getting more press coverage than anyone else’s life–than any other of the many human rights hostages and victims of show trials in these countries–because they are liberal reporters for the mainstream media, which exalts its own members and their lives’ values above you and me.
This is, incongruously, the most outrage–in fact, the only outrage–the mainstream media has had with anything Iran/Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and North Korea/Kim Jong-Il have ever done.
We’re the little people. But these reporters who chose to risk their lives to, among other things, propagandize for Iran are the “important people.”
No tears from me for these “reporters.” They knew the risks. They assumed those risks. Now, they’re whining about the very predictable results.
So sad, too bad.
