I’ve written about this before–in 2005, when HAMAS had only 200 child brides.  When the Moonies have a mass wedding, at least everyone getting betrothed is an adult.  When HAMAS does it, well . . . .

Yes, I know that occasionally HAMAS uses children with more make-up than Jon-Benet Ramsey and Anna Nicole Smith combined as stand ins for their adult brides.  You know–because seeing a grown woman might cause them thoughts and actions beyond their control . . . like rape.  But, as we also know, Muslims frequently forcibly marry young girls and essentially commit Islamo-legalized child molestation and rape.  But we don’t know which, exactly, is the case here.  And either way, it says a lot–not just about HAMAS, but about Islam period.

“The Collector” and some other releases out this weekend were not screened for critics . . . or I skipped them because life’s too short.  Do you really want me to sit through “The Cove”–about airhead celebrities like Hayden Panettiere, fighting to save the dolphins?  Sorry.  Shoulda named the movie, “The Coven,” and then I’d be interested.   But here’s what I did see.

*  “Funny People“:  The title is a lie.  It should have been called, “Sometimes Funny People Who Are Mostly Sad, Selfish, Crying, Yelling, and Mostly Annoying People.”  While this movie wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be, I set the bar very low for Judd Apatow flicks.  They’re always raunchy and vulgar, and sometimes, they’re actually funny.

Senator Chris Dodd just announced he has prostate cancer.  I feel for him and hope he recovers, even though politically, he’s a complete sleazebag.

But, as my friend Jan–who also has cancer–notes, since Dodd is a big supporter of ObamaCare, maybe he should try treating it with ObamaCare and see if he survives.  Writes Jan:

. . . You’ll LOOOOOOVE ObamaCare. In fact, you can call it “Cash for Clunkers Healthcare.”

Last night, the federal government–after months of marketing and pouring gazillions into it–suspended the “Cash for Clunkers” program after less than four days of its existence.

The cash–several thousands dollars in subsidies for trading in your less fuel-efficient car for a new one that’s more so–was supposed to last until the end of the year.  But, instead, the  $950 million dollars budgeted for the program has run it.  The program’s been frozen.  And the Obama White House is struggling to find a way to get it to continue.

When the self-hating “Heeb” Magazine–run by Jewish far-leftists with zero edit button or shame–was started almost a decade ago, I wrote about this waste of trees.  The sickest thing about it was not the anti-Semitic content on its pages (yes, Jews can be anti-Semites just as Blacks can be racists) was not the content itself, but who was funding it:  Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation, which gave the magazine tens of thousands of dollars in start-up money and continuing funding.  “Shoah” is the Hebrew word for the Holocaust, and people who donated to Spielberg’s foundation thought their money was going to its stated purpose–educate the public about the Holocaust and send copies of “Schindler’s List” to schools and other groups.  Like I said then, “My grandparents survived the ovens for this?!”

And, sadly, this disgusting magazine continues to exist and to feature things like it’s latest photo spread of self-hating Jew Roseanne Barr dressed as Hitler.  As I’ve noted before, Roseanne supports HAMAS, she doesn’t think Israel should exist, and she’s friends with anti-Semite Cynthia McKinney.

Today, President Barack Hussein Obama announced his first list of Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients.  And while it’s ironic–since most of the choices have contributed to taking away our freedoms, the choices aren’t shockers.  They’re quite predictable.

For the most part, it reads like a far-left who’s who: two gay activists, four feminists, two far-left Hollywood actors, an anti-Semitic fan of Arafat and defender of Palestinian terrorists, a Muslim, a bloated drunk driver, and a token liberal Republican.  Yes, there are a few token deserving awardees, like Stephen Hawking, Janet Davison Rowley, Pedro Jose Greer, Jr., and Joe Medicine Crow.  But they’re window dressing for the vast majority of the choices, all of whom are well out of the mainstream.

Here’s the list (with my comments):

*  Ted Kennedy:  Well-known, bloated drunk driver/murderer/womanizer who is the father of the current Obamacare BS.  Has done more to TAKE AWAY our freedom than any other Senator in modern times (other than Sen. Barack Obama).

Today is the Jewish fast day of  “Tisha b’Av,” which means the Ninth of Av (a month on the Jewish calendar).

It marks the destruction of the Jewish Temple–both of them (and many other tragedies in Jewish history, which all occurred on this day in the Jewish calendar).  I’ve been fasting since sundown last night, and the fast ends tonight at nightfall.  It ends up being just under 25 hours of no food or liquid.  The food part isn’t the big deal, since I don’t eat much during the summer.  It’s the water part (and not being able to eat fruit) that’s tough.  I’m very thirsty and daydreaming about  some unsweetened iced tea, a Diet Coke, or just  some bottled water.

Hmmm . . . maybe Lee Greenwood needs to sing a new song in honor of our bone-headed friends in the federal government, who are dismantling a “United States” sign at the border:  “Embarrassed to be American.”

I’ve written before about how the wimps running the New York/New Jersey Port Authority dumped the name “Freedom Tower” from the planned new World Trade Center building because they felt the name would make it a target for terrorists.  But apparently, the “Embarrassed to be American” movement has stepped it up a notch.  Authorities are removing a large “United States” sign at a northern New York border crossing because it might be a target for terrorists.
