Very cute and kinda funny. (BTW, my fave thing about Salma Hayek is that even though she’s part Lebanese, she’s resisted the Muslims’ attempt to make her into one of their Arabist crusaders and mostly identifies as a Latina.) In case you were wondering, the other brunette appears to be Sofia Vergara.

I’ve long believed that NATO–the North Atlantic Treaty Organization–jumped the shark.
NATO Chief Rasmussen Pandering to Muslims
It’s ineffective and a waste of time and money, in no small part because we’ve lobbied for and pushed many dangerous and/or irrelevant nations for admittance into NATO. And NATO is infected by the membership of Turkey, the increasingly extremist Muslim state. The U.S. shares a good deal of intelligence with NATO, which will ultimately be in the hands of our Islamic enemies via our Turkish “friends.” And Turkey initially held up NATO’s new secretary-general, Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s, nomination because he headed Denmark, and Turkey was upset over the Danish Mohammed cartoon publication.
In recent years–recent decades–NATO has done little of consequence that Western allies couldn’t do on their own.
And Rasmussen’s current Islamo-pandering trip in Turkey is yet the latest slide down the ladder of irrelevance. But the Islamic world is eating it up. That’s ironic, considering that NATO was founded in 1949, in the aftermath of Europe’s liberation from the Nazis. Now, that Europe is re-enslaving itself with the new Nazis–Muslims–NATO has chosen that path, too, apparently.
Eyeing better ties with the Islamic world after the Prophet cartoon crisis, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen joined Turkish leaders at a Ramadan iftar on Thursday, August 27.
“Please see my presence here tonight as a clear manifestation of my respect for Islam as one of the world’s great religions,” Rasmussen said at the iftar banquet with Turkish Primer Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reported Agence France Presse (AFP). . . .

Over the last couple of days, a big news story in the Detroit area is that of Raneen Albaghdady, a garish Muslim woman with more make-up than RuPaul (with apologies to Ru) and a bad nose job. If this is Islamic “modesty,” it’s always opposite day in that religion.
Nabih Ayad: Won’t Pay Student Loans, U.S. Govt. Suing Him
Ms. Albaghdady voluntarily took off her hijab–her head-rag–at the request of Wayne County (Detroit) Circuit Court Judge J. William Callahan, saying, “OK, it doesn’t matter” (a portion of court video conveniently left out of a CAIR YouTube posting). But a month later, with CAIR having its hooks into the case, it no longer “doesn’t matter.” It’s now, per the litigation jihad, a lawsuit. Although I’ll bet her biggest embarrassment was the fake hair extension that she had clipped on her head underneath the scarf (why would she need that with her hair covered?).
But that’s not the story here. The lawsuit over her chintzy leopard-print head shmattah isn’t the story. The story is that her lawyer, Nabih Ayad, is being sued by the U.S. government for not paying a cent on the nearly $120,000 he owes after you, the U.S. taxpayer, put Ayad through college and law school, so he could file frivolous Islamic lawsuits like this one. Read the federal lawsuit complaint in United States of America v. Nabih H. Ayad a/k/a Nabin Aydd. And while he hasn’t paid you back a dime of it, Lebanese immigrant Ayad wears expensive suits, drives a fancy car, and lives in a luxurious home in an upper middle-class neighborhood of Canton, Michigan. And don’t forget his large diamond stud earrings (on both earlobes).
Yet, as they rush to cover Ayad’s every lawsuit on behalf of every Islamic terrorist and every uber-aggrieved Muslim, no one in the mainstream media will cover this story, a story I broke on this site. And you wonder why Ayad has no shame. Why should he? He’s getting away with it. And he even used a fake name–an alias: Nabin Aydd–in connection with getting the loans.
I’ve written about the Shi’ite Muslim Ayad before. His family is active in Hezbollah, and he openly supports the group. He is named after Nabih Berri, his relative, who heads the Shi’ite Amal Militia, a huge component of Hezbollah. He was a plaintiff in the ACLU lawsuit against the NSA wiretaps. None of this, of course, stopped Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm from appointing Ayad Treasurer of the tax-funded Michigan Civil Rights Commision.

After I graduated from Business School, I had the opportunity to attend the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (KSG). I scored in the 99th percentile of the grad school entrance exams, had a lot of political experience, and a former college prof of mine was a top KSG official who guaranteed I’d get in and heavily lobbied me to go. I decided not to do it because I couldn’t afford it and already had two graduate degrees. It was time to live in the real world. And unlike Bill O’Reilly (who went to KSG, in case you missed one of his many boasts about his Harvard degree), I didn’t need a Harvard degree to make up for inadequacies in the hood or the cerebellum. I already knew I wasn’t a dummy.
And it’s a good thing I didn’t go. Looks like I’d have the typical empty experience that classmates of feminist, pro-Obama, has-been movie star Ashley Judd got recently. And she acts exactly the way you’d expect from any extremely snobby phony Hollywood “man of the little people” who lives among “the commoners.” Judd pretends to care about the poor in Africa and Latin America, but her snooty behavior even among fellow Harvard snobs is very telling about the real her. For an ignoramus born to a serial slut (mother Naomi had more than one baby daddy while single–she and Wynona Judd have different fathers), she certainly has the snob indignation thing down pat. As readers know, I like to give you the info on free stuff, even if it’s not necessarily kosher stuff I would eat.
For my gentile readers, Papa John’s has an interesting promotion, giving away free pizza today for owners of Chevy Camaro cars (or you can borrow one for a friend). Our friend, reader/blogger/Vietnam vet Robert John Mallernee, has the details.
While Papa John founder John Schnatter’s 1971 Chevy Camaro Z28 is a very cool car, I personally think $250,000 is a ridiculous price for it and an incredible waste of money. But it’s his money.
And the story behind it is a great story and a very smart marketing promotion.

In June, Vanity Fair ran excerpts from, “Ted Kennedy: The Dream That Never Died,” a book by Edward M. Klein. The excerpts describe some of the healthcare Senator Edward Kennedy got to treat his cancer: police escorts to the hospital, a team of the world’s top brain and oncology surgeons, including one who was tracked to the airport, where he was about to leave for a conference in Canada. Instead, he jumped on a plane to treat Mary Jo Kopechne’s killer.
Here’s more of what Ted Kennedy got that you won’t . . . certainly not under ObamaCare:
Paramedics lifted the overweight senator onto a gurney, hooked him up to oxygen, and slid him into the back of an ambulance. The ambulance and a police cruiser raced down South Street to Cape Cod Hospital. . . .
Before the ambulance pulled up, she had arranged for the Senator to be transported from the Cape to Massachusetts General Hospital, called his Senate staff to put in place a crisis management team. . . .
In the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital, the doctors examined Kennedy for almost two hours and concluded that he had suffered two seizures, little electrical storms in the brain, rather than a stroke, which kills brain tissue and can lead to permanent paralysis. He was put back into the ambulance for the three-minute trip to Barnstable Municipal Airport. There a twin-engine medevac helicopter was standing by, ready to airlift him to Boston.
In less than half an hour, the chopper touched down on the roof of Massachusetts General, where Dr. Larry Ronan, the senator’s longtime primary-care physician, was an internist. . . .

Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) died at age 77 from a brain tumor, apparent cancer.
Will he get the Robert Novak revisionist history treatment (though he wasn’t the vocal HAMAS-nik and Israel-hater that Novak was, but he was bad enough on plenty of related and other stuff)? Does his epitaph deserve to be whitewashed of Chappaquiddick and animal-like behavior a la mid-day, mid-lunch sex escapades on the table–or was it the floor?– of Washington restaurant, La Brasserie (while on a double “date” with bud Chris Dodd)? Will anyone mention the photos of him on a yacht off the coast of the French Riviera, en flagrante delicto with some other woman in the middle of the day out in the open (marking the first and only time he supported “offshore drilling”)?
Should we forget how he got kicked out of Harvard (TWICE!) for cheating (TWICE!), and how a woman rumored to be pregnant (possibly with his kid) died in a car while he was driving it, and that he waited hours until notifying authorities (perhaps to be sure the woman was dead), then had the chutzpah to show up at her funeral?

As Robert says, my fight–his fight and our fight–is to save our freedoms. Without fighting Islam’s attempted (and, so far, quite successful) takeover of the West, the Kos Kids will be silenced along with the rest of us. It won’t happen in this generation or even the next. But it will happen if we continue to do nothing. The Kossacks won’t be spared.

Meet Mark Wattson, age 35, of Great Britain. He’s not elderly and in need of government-mandated “end of life” counseling or some other disgusting death panel. He’s relatively young and in the prime of life.

Unfortunately, he’s Exhibit A (or is that Exhibit ZZZ, since there are so many?) of the “greatness” that ObamaCare could be. And he’s wondering what organ he’s missing. It’s not the Third World (for now), but it sure sounds like it.
After weeks of excruciating pain, Mark Wattson was understandably relieved to have his appendix taken out.
Doctors told him the operation was a success and he was sent home.
But only a month later the 35-year-old collapsed in agony and had to be taken back to Great Western Hospital in Swindon by ambulance.
To his shock, surgeons from the same team told him that not only was his appendix still inside him, but it had ruptured – a potentially fatal complication.

I like John Malkovich as an actor. He’s not only very talented, but he has a huge range. The man has a great ability to creep you out when he wants or make you laugh. And I thought he was one of the more reasonable actors, philosophically, in the movie biz.
Sadly, he’s now part of the open borders crowd (even though the guy lived in France until 2004, and only moved back to the U.S. because of a tax dispute with the French), trying to make us cry about the “struggle” of illegal aliens and executive produced a sob story on film that aired on HBO, last night:
“Which Way Home,” on HBO Monday, is a documentary that will break your heart. John Malkovich, one of the producers [DS: he’s an Executive Producer], tells me he watched just 11 minutes of it before finding it worthy of funding. It’s about kids from south of the border who ride freight trains to the states. “Americans have strong feelings about this,” he says, “but immigration is not so easy — legal or illegal.”
