Not only is this video from Tuesday Night’s Phillies game incredibly cute, but this guy, Steve Monforto, looks like he’s a great and loving dad. (Doesn’t hurt that he’s good-looking with a great smile, either.) Both the New Jersey father and his daughter, three-year-old Emily Monforto, will be on NBC’s “Today” show, Thursday Morning . . . without the foul ball (though the Phillies gave them a replacement).
Ah, the SEIU–the Service Employees International Union, so faithful to hurting, er . . . looking out for, service employees. So faithful to Barack Obama and ensuring his eternal reign. And so faithful to the quest to molest the underaged.
At least, that’s the case with former SEIU boss Jaime Enrique Feliciano, who was just sentenced to 25 years in prison for child molestation and the possession of various child porn. He had a history of previous crimes of this nature BEFORE SIEU (and the State of California!) employed him in these capacities. Nice background checks, guys.
The next time the SEIU tells you they’re looking out for the children when they support ObamaCare, they’re definitely looking out for the children. Just not the way you might think:
A former union official and California Department of Insurance employee was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison after entering no contest pleas to charges of child molestation, possession of child pornography, and manufacturing child pornography.
Yup, Jimmy Carter, peanut farmer, horrid President, Ayatollah-enabler, and, now, bigotry scholar extaordinaire. Congrats, Jimmuh, you’re the latest anti-Semite to become an “expert” on racism.
Reader Marc A asks:
Is it just me, or does Jimmy Carter look more like that one Nazi from “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” every day? Maybe his face will melt off.
Hmmm . . . someone in the White House is seeking an extension of the USA Patriot Act. You know, the same Patriot Act much vilified by the Democrats and the left–especially a certain Senator Barack Hussein Obama–ever since it was enacted.
But, wait. Since Bush is no longer President, and a different guy has been in there for eight months, who could possibly be seeking an extension of three key provision of the Patriot Act?
Why, it’s none other than the same Barack Obama who voted for the Patriot Act, but then claimed he opposed the Patriot Act and wanted it repealed . . . until he became President (echoes of John Kerry).
The Obama administration supports extending three key provisions of the Patriot Act that are due to expire at the end of the year, the Justice Department told Congress in a letter made public Tuesday.
Hey, you know who hates America? Eva Longoria Parker, that’s who. At least, the reading choices she promotes on national broadcast TV seem to indicate it.
Eva Longoria Parker’s “Occupied America”
The “Desperate Housewives” star–whom America made rich beyond her wildest dreams–was interviewed on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” last night. For some strange reason, the Kimmel show–which usually posts video of interviews on YouTube–hasn’t posted video of this one.
Yeah, I lost my book. And I had everyone on “The Desperate Housewives” set looking for my copy of “Occupied America.”
Um, is America “occupied”? Well, only if you buy into in the Aztlan reconquista baloney spouted by Rodolfo F. Acuna in “Occupied America: A History of Chicanos,” which has a “Stop Reagan: Public Enemy of the Poor” sign on the cover of one of its recent editions. The book is one of the most anti-American, anti-non-Latino books in existence. And sadly, it’s the textbook for many Latinos around America, educating them to–like Longoria Parker–hate America from within. A friend of mine–a former Communist Party member–notes:
The author is the same Rudy Acuna who teaches (or once taught) at Cal State Northridge, he is a Communist Party member. I am talking real live member, not a sympathizer or confidante. Rudy used to brag at meetings how he used his platform as a teacher to propagandize.
On Friday, CBS will air the last day of TV’s longest-running drama, the soap opera, “Guiding Light.” ( It’s been around for 72 years on radio and TV.) Not that I care. I don’t watch soap operas. They’re stupid, boring, and a waste of time. Not to mention, cheap and tawdry.
The demise of soaps is not news to me. I wrote, years ago, on this site about soaps’ demise as most women now work and aren’t at home to watch and as the stories, people, and sets have grown stale and chintzy. Sleazy soaps upped the sleaze factor with explicit shower and hot tub sex scenes and gay story lines, but they still couldn’t compete with even sleazier daytime talk shows–Oprah and Springer–that featured real-life stories about the same thing and yenta-fests with ugly gay airheaded women (“The View”), that were about the same. Even bringing back those old nostalgic actors, characters, and storylines with tawdry updates–Rick Springfield temporarily back on “General Hospital” as an alcoholic Dr. Noah Drake–was like trying to remove the dead, long after rigor mortis set in.
Richard Cole, a 38-year-old photographer in Hampton, N.Y, started watching “Guiding Light” when he was 14. Mr. Cole says he told his television service provider Dish Network to cancel service after the final episode airs Sept. 18. He will no longer watch television, he says.
I think it’s pretty obvious for which team this guy plays. WNBA season tickets are waiting near the wallet (or man purse).
These aren’t the days when macho pro football players watched the soap operas after practice.
And they’re no longer the days where women stayed home to take care of kids and cook and clean. Now, guys like Todd Palin are doing that.
Still, at least there’s one tiny silver lining of feminism–that these stupid daytime dramas with their ever-escalating dysfunction and sleaze are dying. Sadly, as I noted, they’ve been replaced by something far worse: Mr. Moms, Oprah, Springer, The View, and Dr. Phil.
And there’s nothing good about any of those (other than when credits roll).
For years, I’ve decried the mainstream media whines and conventional wisdom that more Muslim foreign students at America’s colleges and universities and more Muslim tourists means more Muslim understanding and favorable attitudes toward America.
Muslim Khan: Taliban Spokesman Was Another Muslim Exposed to America Who Hated America
As I’ve noted, it only means more hatred toward America, more terrorists in our midst who aren’t really students (remember the eleven Egyptian “students” who disappeared, some of whom were found at a terror suspect’s pizza joint?) or tourists, more criminals–like rapist/torturer Homaidan Al-Turki–and more jihadists (Turki spread jihad and was connected to an extremist bookstore, too), and they occupy more tax-subsidized college spots that should be occupied by Americans waiting to be programmed by left-wing professors.
Also, notice the White kid who laughs while the Black kids are beating this kid. Disgusting.
A Belleville West High School student was beaten aboard a bus on the way to school Monday, and a police spokesman said the beating could be racially motivated.
Ya think?
The 17-year-old victim was white and the teen assailants were black. Police released a video of the beating, which shows the victim being punched repeatedly while other students on the bus gather to watch, some cheering. It doesn’t appear that the victim did anything to provoke an attack and tried only to defend himself. Police said it all unfolded in a five-minute span.
The victim was trying to find a seat and was told by two students he could not sit next to them, police said.
As he walked to the seat, someone shouted, “Beat his ass.”
When he did sit down, one teen tried to push him out of his seat then began grabbing the victim’s neck and punching him in the face.
With each punch, some in the crowd chanted, “Boom, boom, boom.”
The victim eventually returned to his seat, but another student began taunting him a few minutes later. The victim was then struck in the face. . . .
“In my estimation, it’s racially motivated,” said Capt. Don Sax of the Belleville Police Department. He said one reason he had formed this opinion was that many of the students, most of whom were black, yelled their support for the beating.
“There was absolutely no justification for the beating either time,” Sax said.
We know where these kids learned their racism: from their parents, their other relatives, their community, their culture (and our culture that looks the other way when racism is Black-on-White and not the other way around, lest we be accused of being “racist”–again, note the White kid laughing at the beating). And that’s the problem. As I’ve noted before, racism against Blacks is–for the most part–not tolerated in America, and it shouldn’t be. Racism in the Black community against Whites is tolerated. If Kanye West’s fan base was only Black or even mostly Black, this Muslim son of a Black Panther wouldn’t have uttered his third non-apology “apology” last night on Jay Leno’s show. But the majority of his fan base, of his customers, are Whites. And that’s the only reason, he’s semi-backtracking.
What West did is tolerated in the hoods and on the streets of urban America. And that’s the problem. I predicted on this site that if Obama was elected, it would only increase that racism. And I was right.
As I’ve noted before, I have a “Whites Against White Violence” pin from the ’60s in my political button collection (see above). I’ve asked before, and I’ll ask–rhetorically–again: When will Blacks wear pins with a comparative slogan: “Blacks Against Black Violence”?
Sad news. Today, actor Patrick Swayze died of pancreatic cancer at his ranch. He was only 57 and bravely, publicly fought the cancer. Although he was unfortunate to be struck by this horrible illness, Swayze was lucky to beat the odds and remain alive for 20 months after being diagnosed with the fatal disease that also took my father after just a few months, as with most of its victims. Sadly, pancreatic cancer is not a “sexy” disease and doesn’t get nearly a fraction of the funding for research that is given to breast cancer, AIDS, and other more “glamorous” or politically popular incurable illnesses.
Patrick Swayze in “Red Dawn” and “North and South”
Although I’ve been a critic of Swayze’s comments about the Mid-East, a pan-Arabist propaganda movie he planned on making, and other issues, I’ve also been a fan from the time I saw him as a Confederate soldier in the TV miniseries (remember those?), “North and South,” and in his best movie ever, as a Wolverine in “Red Dawn,” the 25th anniversary of which was last month. This movie was his most important and an important commentary about fighting for our freedoms. When I was in high school and college, he was very hot and definitely sexy. I’m posting, below, what I wrote when his cancer diagnosis was first made public over a year-and-half ago.
Swayze was not only a talented actor, but a talented singer (had the hit, “She’s Like the Wind” from the “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack) and classically-trained ballet dancer, as well. A showman, he had a wide range of roles, from leads in chick flicks (“Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost”) to guy flicks (“Point Break,” “Youngblood,” “Road House,” “Next of Kin”) to just plain bad flicks (“To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar,” in which he was a crossdresser). And he was a Texas cowboy, a licensed pilot, and Arabian horse owner.
But I have to say, my all-time fave Patrick Swayze project was his Saturday Night Live skit auditioning for the Chippendale’s dancer with Chris Farley (videos below). Sadly, now both of them are gone.
Tonight was the debut of Jay Leno’s prime-time nightly talk show. It’s just finishing up. Did you watch? What did you think (other than the obnoxious Kanye West as a guest)?
