I thought US Airways had the cojones to just say no. I thought the airline had the guts to put passenger security over the whining of extremist Muslim activists who deliberately acted suspiciously on board a flight, in order to test the system, file lawsuits, and perhaps see how far they could go in mimicking the behavior of the 9/11 hijacking terrorists.

And perhaps the airline did have the guts. It valiantly fought CAIR and the Muslim imams for a long time. But, sadly, left-wing Federal Dhimmi, er . . . Judge Ann Montgomery, a Bill Clinton nominee, ruled against the company, every step of the way, including ignoring federal law. It’s hard to fight a fair fight, when the “referee” ties your hands behind your back and allows your opponent to take repeated, unhindered punches at your face.
Ultimately, like Northwest Airlines (now part of Delta) and virtually every corporation in America, today, CAIR announced that the US Airways settled the Six Flying Imams’ Lawsuit. One of the few exceptions seems to be American Airlines. And that’s because they had a wise and no-nonsense judge in Detroit-based Federal Judge Paul D. Borman.
And not only did US Airways settle, but in a CAIR gloatation (yes, I know, it’s not a word; I made it up), the unindicted terrorism co-conspirator organization behind the lawsuit announced that US Airways paid an undisclosed amount of compensation to the “Flying Imams.” Yup, your plane tickets on US Airways help subsidized hush money to extorting Muslim clerics.

Hmmm . . . do you think the NAACP would be defending a Republican candidate for Mayor if she used the term, “Head Negro in Charge”? Well, the group is defending Democrat St. Petersburg Mayoral candidate Kathleen Ford for using the term. It’s hilarious: Rush Limbaugh just lost a bid to be a minority owner of an NFL team (not an elected office) because of stuff he never said and relatively tame stuff he did say. And, yet, the NAACP is defending someone who uses the “HNIC” phrase on the radio.

This is scary, but not something we didn’t have a warning about. It started when we wouldn’t let American soldiers in Iraq have Playboys or get pork products because we didn’t want to offend the various species we were “liberating” to make a greater Iran. This is just the natural progression of that.

But when even a far-left liberal lawyer, Jonathan Turley, who represented Islamic terrorist Sami Al-Arian, is upset, that should tell you something about the dire nature of the situation we are in–the disturbing extent to which the Barack Hussein Obama administration is willing to take away our freedoms to appease our Islamic enemies. This guy, Turley, is in bed with the worst forces in ACLU-dom when it comes to Muslims and Islamic terrorists, and even he acknowledges that, hey, Obama’s giving up our First Amendment to make nice with the Arab Street.
Around the world, free speech is being sacrificed on the altar of religion. Whether defined as hate speech, discrimination or simple blasphemy, governments are declaring unlimited free speech as the enemy of freedom of religion. This growing movement has reached the United Nations, where religiously conservative countries received a boost in their campaign to pass an international blasphemy law. It came from the most unlikely of places: the United States.
While attracting surprisingly little attention, the Obama administration supported the effort of largely Muslim nations in the U.N. Human Rights Council to recognize exceptions to free speech for any “negative racial and religious stereotyping.” The exception was made as part of a resolution supporting free speech that passed this month, but it is the exception, not the rule that worries civil libertarians. Though the resolution was passed unanimously, European and developing countries made it clear that they remain at odds on the issue of protecting religions from criticism. It is viewed as a transparent bid to appeal to the “Muslim street” and our Arab allies, with the administration seeking greater coexistence through the curtailment of objectionable speech. . . . It is . . . viewed as a victory for those who sought to juxtapose and balance the rights of speech and religion.

You can sell Nazi memorabilia on Ebay. That’s “historic.” And you can sell the anti-Semitic “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” on Ebay, too.
But don’t try selling a funny illegal alien costume (designed by a left-winger). Ebay will yank it for being too offensive. . . if the seller is a secure borders group.
You’ve no doubt read about the absurd outrage over an illegal alien costume that features an extraterrestrial alien mask along with an orange jumpsuit and a green card. Ebay won’t allow Americans for Legal Immigration to sell it on the auction site. Yet, I looked, and at least one other vendor is allowed to continue selling it. That vendor, though, apparently isn’t selling it to call attention to the problems with our porous borders and the lack of adequate measures to thwart illegal aliens in our midst.
Check out the “tolerance” level of Ebay and America’s retailers when it comes to calling out and mocking criminal invaders:

You knew this was coming. Even though minorities and women do not traditionally choose to become racing stock car drivers, Jesse Jackson and the rest of the race merchant industry have pressured NASCAR about the low number of Black drivers. And even though Danica Patrick makes millions more in endorsements than most male NASCAR drivers, the execs at NASCAR decided it was necessary to give women a leg up.
So, if you have a darker skin complexion or female internal plumbing you get to be on the fast track in NASCAR a la the NASCAR “Drive for Diversity.” The Drive for Diversity program has been going on for a while, but NASCAR has ramped it up this year, getting sponsors, spending millions, and getting its minority candidates lots of exposure to owners and racing teams that your average aspiring NASCAR White guys will never ever get. And although the Drive for Diversity hasn’t placed a racer on the main NASCAR circuit yet, you can bet the pressure’s on to do so, and they’ll probably use a little more affirmative action to make that happen real soon.
In its quest to infuse NASCAR with a more multicultural image, Drive for Diversity is getting a new look, too.
The program, which will conclude its two-day annual driver combine Wednesday in Radford, Va., with 30 candidates vying to fill 10 spots in the 2010 class, has been overhauled with an emphasis on centralization in its seventh year.

But the marketplace has decided: they want HFCS. I personally try to stay away from it and most heavily sugared (any kind of sugar) foods and drinks. But most people like them. Otherwise, HFCS-free foods and drinks (of which there are plenty) would be more popular and companies would move toward that ingredient trend.

Hmmm . . . I never knew whether or not she spelled her name with one “a” or two. Nor did I care. And I still don’t. Making a big deal out of how she changed the spelling of her name? Yet, another reason her initials are “BS” (in addition to snubbing Israel on its 60th Birthday because Israel is “no longer in vogue” with her fellow lefties). Anyone who plunks down Nine Gs for something marking that is truly an idiot, indeed–millionaire or not. Let me guess: David Davis is also a fan of Liza Minelli, Donna Summer, “The Wizard of Oz,” Madonna, and is a potential suitor for retired Supreme Court Justice David Suter?

I’ve been warning about this for years: that so long as Europe continues to become ever more Muslim-dominated, when we share our intelligence with them, we’re essentially sharing it with Islamic terrorists and/or their enablers in European governments.

There’s nothing new worth seeing at the movies, this weekend. Ironically, the best of the bunch–the lame, predictable, but mildly entertaining Madonna-produced “The Stepfather”–was not screened for critics.
* “Law Abiding Citizen“: This horrible, wannabe, very substandard “Death Wish” is sickening, stupid, and predictable. Gerard Butler plays an American father who strangely has a Scottish accent that keeps creeping out. His wife and daughter are slain by thugs. Why? We don’t know. They never tell us. And frankly I didn’t care because the movie is that lame.
