Taken captive on November 4, 1979, they–the hostages–missed a lot.  But while they were ultimately released, in the long term these “revolutionary” Iranian “students” succeeded in spades.  It’s not just that one of the hostage takers–the calculating loon Mahmoud Ahamadinejad–is Iran’s head honcho.  It’s that, far worse, thirty years later, the hostage-takers have friends and supporters living all over America.  And some of those key supporters have been hugged in photo ops by Presidents Bush and Obama.

A Time Magazine cover called it the “Test of Wills,” and showed photos of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and Jimmy Carter.  But one is dead and the other is brain-dead and thankfully long gone from office (though he remains on American taxpayer dole while he does Ayatollah’s bidding by proxy from the grave).  It was really a test of America’s will versus Islamic thuggery of the Shi’ite variety.  And in the long-term,  their will is stronger.  Ours extremely weak, to the point that we’ve imported this thuggery to our shores and it has taken over whole American cities.

I don’t know about you.  But in traveling by plane, I’ve had to throw out lip gloss, bottled water, a shampoo bottle that was over three ounces, and a perfectly good, sealed bottle of orange juice, all because the TSA told me to.  I know the rules are absurd and won’t stop a single terrorist attack from happening (and the rules satisfy terrorists because innocent Westerners like me have to go through more incompetent government hassles).  But I know the rules, and I’ve always willingly complied.  And I’ve written repeatedly on how stupid and ineffective these rules are (here, here, and here).

But, hey, I’m also not Britney Spears, whom TMZ caught waltzing through the airport checkpoint with her her Big Gulp-sized Mountain Dew cup containing a drink.  After getting caught, the TSA now claims it had ice chips in it, but the video clearly shows her drinking a big gulp from the large cup and a man with an English accent at the checkpoint, specifically calling it a “drink.”  And even if there were only ice chips–and there weren’t, it was a drink–ice melts into . . . liquid.  The TSA rules clearly require all liquid to be stored in containers of three ounces or less and those are required to be in a quart bag.  Spears did none of these things.  But the TSA let her get away with it.  Why?  Only us little people need comply.  I guess it’s no big deal that this wench was attached to two extremist Muslim hanger-oners until recently.  I’m sure they’d never ever blow up a plane, right?

A couple of weeks ago, I noted the Phoenix-area attempted honor-killing of Noor Faleh Almaleki by her father, Faleh Hassan Almaleki, because she had become “too Westernized.”  The elder Almaleki hit and ran over his daughter with his car because she refused to enter an arranged marraige with a selected Muslim man, instead preferring another Muslim man of her choice, with whom she was living.  The family was comprised of Iraqi immigrants who became U.S. citizens.

So, What Else is New?: Yet another Islamic Honor Killer on U.S. Soil

Well, now, sadly, the honor-killing is complete.  Ms. Almaleki died yesterday at the age of 20.  Surprising kudos to ABC News for making the connection between this and the plight of Fathima Rifqa Bary, the 17-year-old Sri Lankan runaway from Ohio, who fears the same fate form her Muslim parents after she converted to Christianity.

Mr. Almaleki made it all the way to Mexico City and London, England, where fortunately the UK turned him back to Atlanta, in his attempt to escape.  But this whole situation should be yet the latest handwriting on the wall for America, which sadly continues to ignore it.

The gist of these stories:  that Arpaio’s arrests of illegal aliens “endangered” investigation of other crimes.  That thesis was preposterous, especially given that Maricopa County Prosecutor Andrew Thomas has provided statistics time and again, showing that a huge increase in crime is caused by the many illegal aliens who commit it.

Well, the marketplace has spoken.  And even a Pulitzer Prize can’t negate the results.

Hey, guess what? Target and Humana dictated what the Detroit Free Press covered and when. How? Well they wrote out a check.

The Detroit Free Press motto atop the paper’s front page is, “On Guard for 178 Years.”  More like, “On Guard for Target, Humana, and Whoever Else Will Pay This Sinking Ship to Plug Some Holes.”

It’s yet another example of mainstream media’s “independent coverage” that isn’t. More evidence that they need to look in the mirror when they criticize blogs and other online sources that have done the work they refuse to do.

Recent court decisions over FCC government regulations exclusive to blogs dictate that I’m supposed to disclose (and I do) whenever a party I write about gives me compensation in the form of paid advertising and/or free merchandise.

Yet, as  I noted, major corporate advertisers (Target and Humana, Inc. and probably more that we don’t know about because the Freep won’t tell us) are directing what the Detroit Free Press covers and when it covers it.  And the Free Press doesn’t have to disclose this in its stories, whether online or in print.  Nor has it.  And who knows who else and what else is dictating what  you read in the Detroit Free Press.  (I’ve already disclosed that Free Press Islamic reporter Niraj Warikoo–who covers the Islamic and Jewish Communities wrote campaign literature for a man he regularly covers in his stories.)  But, hey, no conflict of interest, right?

A series of articles that appeared in Sunday’s Detroit Free Press about Medicare open enrollment probably didn’t seem unusual to readers amid the national health-care debate.

But the idea for the articles didn’t come from an editor or reporter at the paper. It came from health insurer Humana Inc., which bought an ad next to one of the articles, say executives at the newspaper and its publisher. The origin of the series shows how financial pressures are challenging some of the firmest tenets of newspapering.

One thing I’m really sick of is proud high school graduate celebrities with zero medical experience doling out health and medical advice.  But I’m even more disgusted by the mainstream media who glorify them and give them a forum for their bunk. And that’s not to mention the greedy book publishers who irresponsibly kill trees to spread this hysteria.

Dr. Chrissy, America’s New National Oncologist

It’s not just bimbo “Dr.” Jenny McCarthy–our nation’s new expert on vaccines and autism.  It’s not just aging bim “Dr.” Suzanne Somers–the peroxided national oncologist who once played “Chrissy” on “Three’s Company.”  It’s Oprah and everyone else who give them a forum for their quackery.  (HOprah gave both McCarthy and Somers several shows on which to promote their medical advice.

Now, it’s Jocelyn Noveck, Associated Press reporter, who wrote a long, gushing article about Suzanne Somers, MD.  First, Somers pimped America on her celeb junk science of bioidentical hormones.  Now, it’s advice on cancer.  It’s absurd.  And frankly, if she were delving into giving advice in any other area–say law–the authorities would go after her for practicing without a license. How does she get away with practicing medicine without one?

Somers’ new age advice is baloney.  She recently had to apologize for commenting that chemo–not pancreatic cancer–killed actor Patrick Swayze.  But her apology was insincere, as she continues her rants against chemotherapy and gets AP to cover them as “news.” Her latest book, “Knockout,” has the subtitle “How to Prevent Getting It [Cancer] In the First Place.” Like she knows. No-one knows for sure how to prevent most cancers. But, hey, some morons will buy this witch doctor bimbo’s book, and she’ll cash in . . . again. Sadly, as I write this, American morons have made this book #90 in the Amazon.com rankings.

She’s back with a new book. This one’s on an even more emotional topic: cancer treatment. Specifically, she argues against what she sees as the often pointless use of chemotherapy.

Somers, who has rejected chemo herself, seems to relish the fight. . . .

Since he won’t give them gay marriage, Barack Obama, MD is giving gay activists something almost as bad.  And he’s killing two birds with one stone by using a sop to them to speed ObamaCare’s enactment.  It’s disturbing . . . if only people were paying attention. Well, they weren’t paying attention when President Bush put this absurdity into motion. Obama is just finishing the job.

Dr. Obama has decided that AIDS is no longer a communicable disease of any significance.  And he’s signed an order that will overturn a 22-year travel and immigration ban on those with HIV or AIDS.  Obama announced on the eve of Halloween that he’s going to impose this scary measure, next year (a scary measure President Bush put into play).  The order is set to be signed by our quack-medical-expert-in-chief, today.  And he’s doing it to increase the burden on our healthcare system and force us to sign up for his prescription.

We’re learning more about the Black Muslims who were raided and arrested by the FBI, last week.  And it’s exactly as I said in my analysis.

Make Sure You’re One of the FBI’s Preferred Islamic Terrorists

Yup, it’s official:  The FBI and federal prosecutors directing its agents pick and choose which Muslims to set up, entrap, and brand Islamic terrorists.  And it’s all politics.  They don’t want to go after the mainstream Muslims–who are every bit as radical and to whom they regularly pander.  So, they decided to pawn off the “radical Islamic threat” on a small group of fringe characters.

The FBI decided that this Black mosque was extremist in its views (even though every other mosque in Detroit is no less extremist and radical), so the FBI decided to set up a front to fence stolen merchandise and enlist the Black Muslims to participate.  Yup, that “warehouse” that was raided, last week–controlled by the FBI from start to finish.

For two years, the FBI watched alleged members of a radical Muslim separatist group, using informants to tape the violent words of its leader.

Um, is there a mosque in Detroit that isn’t radical and separatist? Is there an imam in Detroit whose leader doesn’t utter violent words? Why was this mosque different from all others? It wasn’t.

Last November, agents launched an undercover sting operation through which leaders and members of “The Ummah,” or brotherhood, allegedly fenced what they believed were stolen goods.

Early Wednesday afternoon, the trap was closed when agents simultaneously raided two Detroit homes and surrounded an FBI-controlled warehouse in Dearborn.

The FBI wants you to think that there are only a few dangerous Muslims, that only a few preach “violent words” or are “radical” and “separatist.”    But that’s mainstream Islam.

The FBI wants you to believe that a few radical former Black Panthers who converted in jail are the only threat–that they are the “radical Muslims.”  And they want you to think that everybody else–the White Saudi- and Iran-funded Muslims who are America’s mainstream Islamic community (and who funded and organized the Islamic prison ministries that converted these Blacks to Islam and uber-extremism) are just innocent, loyal Americans.  They are every bit as radical, but they are the FBI’s chosen “moderates.  The FBI wants you to ignore that these mostly-Arabic and -Asian Muslims in mosques throughout Dearbornistan/Dearbornistan Heights and Canton and Bloomfield Hills and Warren” pose the real threat to our community.

Both [FBI Special Agent in Charge Andrew] Arena and Interim U.S. Attorney Terrence Berg urged the public not to confuse with mainstream Islam the allegations against the group, which they said blended elements of radical Islam.

Um, what is “radical” Islam? It’s Islam, stupid.

“Any Muslim who took a look at what these people believe in would not recognize this as the Muslim faith,” Arena said.

HUH?! Wrong. Any Muslim who took a look at this would recognize this as EXACTLY the Muslim faith.

Who needs to fertilize their lawn, when they can just have Special Agent Arena open his mouth somewhere nearby?

As I said, last week, remember that these same feds overturned their own convictions of real, actual Islamic terrorists–all of them Arab Muslims who prayed at mainstream Muslim mosques and who got tax-funded aid from Muslim-dominated Arab welfare agencies.  When they had real terrorists in their hands, they threw that away and went after the prosecutor who got the convictions.  In this case, these guys weren’t terrorists.  Islamic criminals and thugs, yes.  Terrorists?  I don’t see it and nor do the allegations in the criminal complaint.

Yes, that’s what happened last week.  That’s what it was all about.  There was no terrorist attack on the horizon and no evidence of one, just a ring of stolen goods fencing and fraud with cars’ speedometers rolled back and VIN numbers erased for fraudulent sale.  It was just a way of the FBI telling us, “Don’t worry while we hang with extremist Muslims funding Hezbollah and HAMAS and ready to attack us whenever given the order, we’re going after the real, real extremists . . . a few poor, crazy Black guys.”

But tonight is Devil’s Night, a holiday I’m told is only, um, “celebrated” in D-Mecca a/k/a Detroit.  You see, on the night before Halloween, there are regularly several dozen homes set on fire by gangs, squatters, druggies–and occasionally anonymous vigilante neighbors tired of gang and druggie squatters living in decrepit abandoned homes in their neighborhood (can’t say I blame them).  Under the mayorship of late Detroit Mayor Coleman Young, there were regularly hundreds of fires in Detroit on Devil’s Night, over 400 of them at the height of things.  So bad it was that recent Rush Limbaugh biographer and former Detroiter Ze’ev Chafetz wrote a great book on it, “Devil’s Night: And Other True Tales of Detroit.”
