HUH?!: Geller “Anti-“Honor Killing Rally Features Mother Who Conspired to Kill Daughters

By Debbie Schlussel

How do you go from–less than two months ago–rightfully condemning a mother for sending her daughters to what she knew would be their murder by their Muslim father  . . . to making her a featured speaker at your anti-honor killing rally?!

rifqabaryrallyThat’s a question you’ll have to ask Pamela Geller, who–as is her recent SOP with me–ignored my e-mails to her, including two asking her why she invited Patricia Said a/k/a “Tissie,” mother of the late Sarah and Amina Said (honor killing victims) , to speak at the rally she organized, today, in Ohio for Fathima Rifqa Bary, the teen convert to Christianity seeking to get away from her Muslim parents.  The rally is set to take place at noon.  This is the woman who–less than two months ago–called Patricia Said, “the Mom From Hell” and a “murderous mom.” That’s exactly what Mrs. Said still is, despite her current “rehabilitation” by Pamela, who a few weeks ago said, “she deserves jail and knows it.”

pamelatissysaid

As those of us who’ve followed the story (I was the first to blog about it and call it an honor killing) have known all along, Tissy was in on the child abuse and honor killings of her daughters from day one.  It’s well detailed in this extensive Dallas Observer piece.  Given all of this, it’s kind of funny to read Pamela’s “not on my watch” comments about Patricia Said, seven weeks ago, and now see her as an invited speaker on Pamela’s “watch,” whatever that is.

Should I Get the H1N1 Vaccine?

By Debbie Schlussel

Should I get the H1N1 vaccine?  I’ve had a few opportunities to be vaccinated present themselves.  And a friend of mine, who took advantage of it, urged me to do it.  He and his nine-year-old son got vaccinated (with the nose spray, not the shot) and his son is now sick with a low-grade fever or flu (not sure which).  He, himself, only had a headache for a day and feels great.

h1n1dose

I think I’m going to do it, but I’m also wary of becoming that one anomaly in the statistics who gets the full blown thing and gets really sick.  The overwhelming odds are, that won’t happen.  But what if?  I don’t believe in the H1N1 hype.  But I also see that some people are, indeed, dying of it–the two people on last Sunday’s “60 Minutes” were disturbing cases, indeed. (It’s far more scary than the video below, which is from a previous “60 Minutes” report.)

So, what should I do?  What would you or will you do if you can get vaccinated?

Smackdown: AP v. Sarah Palin, Round One – “Going Crony”

By Debbie Schlussel

Having not read the book and with no plans to do so, I don’t know if this Associated Press analysis of Sarah Palin’s book, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” is completely accurate.  But I doubt they made up the quotes from the book.  And their contrast of her actions and statements versus what her ghostwriter presents as her version is stark. Perhaps a better title would have been “Going Crony: A Lying Life.”  The lesson here is what I’ve always said, that she’s an empress with no clothing.  But, as we all know, the Sarah Palin faithful won’t let these few “differences” of fact v. the book version bother them.  Oh, and before you dismiss it as liberal AP, note that reporter Calvin
Woodward, who did the fact-check did a similarly devastating fact-check on Barack Obama. She’s just the same old lying, two-face politician and fraud, based this sampling–it’s pretty damning:

sarahpalin2.jpg

PALIN: Writes about a city councilman in Wasilla, Alaska, who owned a garbage truck company and tried to push through an ordinance requiring residents of new subdivisions to pay for trash removal instead of taking it to the dump for free — this to illustrate conflicts of interest she stood against as a public servant.

THE FACTS: As Wasilla mayor, Palin pressed for a special zoning exception so she could sell her family’s $327,000 house, then did not keep a promise to remove a potential fire hazard on the property.

She asked the city council to loosen rules for snow machine races when she and her husband owned a snow machine store, and cast a tie-breaking vote to exempt taxes on aircraft when her father-in-law owned one. But she stepped away from the table in 1997 when the council considered a grant for the Iron Dog snow machine race in which her husband competes.

Wow, thank Heaven for small favors.

***

PALIN: She says her team overseeing the development of a natural gas pipeline set up an open, competitive bidding process that allowed any company to compete for the right to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48.

Weekend Box Office: Islamopandering, Obama-esque “2012” Has Lots Of Action, Heavy-handed Moralizing

By Debbie Schlussel

When director Roland Emmerich made “2012,” in theaters today, he destroyed several Christian religious sites and edifices and several symbols of American freedom.  And the atheist, religion-hating Emmerich wanted to do the same with the Kaaba, the Islamic building containing a rock, worshipped by Muslims on the hajj in Mecca, but the cowardly, hypocritical moviemaker didn’t want a fatwa on his head.

2012

So, while the movie shows the destruction of the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, as well as the fall of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro, the White House, and much else, we’re not shown the fall of any Islamic sites.  In fact, the only reference to Muslims is a scene showing them praying at the Kaaba for the earth to be saved (as well as a keffiyeh-encrusted and presumably Muslim Arab king who buys his family tickets to their “salvation”).

Emmerich said that he got approached by people who wanted their landmarks destroyed, such as the 101 Tower in Taipei, the world’s tallest building.

Infidel Bloggers Award

By Debbie Schlussel

Last year, I won the Infidel Bloggers Award for “Favourite Gal Infidel Blogger.”  I didn’t even know about it, until the IBA people asked me, the other night, to promote this year’s awards.  In general, I’m not into blogging awards because they are largely popularity contests orchestrated by a few clubby online people, and this site transcends that.  Still, feel free to check it out and make nominations if you wish.

Canada Emulates America’s Worst: Apologizes to Muslims For Arrests

By Debbie Schlussel

Looks like the competition is tough between the United States and Canada in the contest to see which country can most pander to Muslims.    I’d say the countries are in a contest to see which can farther bend over backward for Islamic criminals, terrorists, and thugs, but in this case, it’s which can farther bend over forward.

windsorstarmuslimapology2

As you’ll recall, a few weeks ago, FBI agents raided a Dearbornistan warehouse they controlled and arrested several Muslims they had set up in a business they believed was selling stolen merchandise and cars.  (As I noted, the FBI picked and chose these Black Muslims and framed them from beginning to end, when they could have easily done the same with the Hezbollah- & HAMAS-funding Arab Muslims who are far more of a threat. See here also.)  Two of the men in the group–Yassir Ali Khan and Mohammad Al-Sahli, the only Arab Muslims in the gang–fled to Canada, where they were finally arrested.

But here’s where the Windsor police have learned from the Detroit-area Michigan FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials:  they APOLOGIZED to the Muslims. Yes, that’s right.  They APOLOGIZED to them.  I repeat, they APOLOGIZED to wanted Muslim criminal fugitives for doing their job and arresting them.

In an unprecedented move, Windsor police chief Gary Smith has publicly apologized to the Muslim community for the “embarrassment” caused by his tactical officers — a move that doesn’t sit well with the head of the city’s cop union.

HOprah Watch: Oprah Previews Palin Interview

By Debbie Schlussel

So, today, Oprah posted this video, below, in which she previews her interview with Sarah Palin, airing on Monday’s Oprah daytime gab-fest.  I predict that Oprah treats Sarah Palin with kid-gloves, and it’s a win-win for both of them, selling a lot of books for the brief Alaska Governor.  So far, the one clip of the interview–which Andrea Mitchell showed on NBC Nightly News–shows 1) the kid glove treatment, and 2) a Sarah Palin that sounds far more articulate than what we’ve seen in previous interviews, even with a friendly Sean Vannity and Greta Van Surgery.  I’m sure Palin was heavily coached for this by her advisors, book people, and ghost writer.  But, based on what I’ve seen, she performs better than usual, and this can only help propel Going Rogue: An American Life even higher.

EXCLUSIVE: Great News – Man Who Gets It Is New Immigration Top Cop

By Debbie Schlussel

There’s great news around Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the nation’s primary immigration enforcement agency.  James Dinkins, an experienced investigator and consummate professional, will become the Director of the Office of Investigations for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Jim Dinkins: ICE’s New Top Cop Gets It

Many ICE agents who read this site know that I personally know Jim Dinkins and have previously praised him on this site.  We’d hoped he’d replace the incompetent, pan-Islamist supersucker Brian Moskowitz a/k/a Abu Moskowitz as the ICE Special Agent in Charge in Michigan. I consider Dinkins a friend, and I know first hand that he “gets it.”  He’s smart, sharp, hard-working, and has experience on the street, investigating important cases.  That’s what we need.

As a Senior Supervisory agent and later Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Michigan U.S. Customs Service office in Detroit, Dinkins was an important and integral part of Operation Greenquest, which followed the trail of terrorist financing.  He was involved in very important investigations and went after Islamic hawala money transfer systems that were sending millions from Dearbornistan to Yemen, apparently to fund Islamic terrorism.  At ICE headquarters, he led ICE’s Cornerstone program, educating corporate leaders on terrorism funding and money-laundering.  He is one of the good guys, and I respect him a great deal.  Maybe this is a good sign that ICE is turning the corner.

The “Heroes” of Conservative Desperation; Plus HILARIOUS Video: Hannity & Prejean

By Debbie Schlussel

The current crop of conservative “heroes” shows conservatives’ level of desperation in the Obama era.  And it’s pathetic.

loudobbs.jpg

lindamcmahon

Carrie Prejean, Lou Dobbs, Linda McMahon:

If These Are Conservative “Heroes,” There Is No Conservatism

Instead of taking advantage of the Obama morass and elevating great conservative thinkers who espouse family values AND conservative free market values, the lumpenconservatariat has latched onto bimbos, empty vessels, and even liberals, who espouse a single value or two that conservatives like.  There’s a difference between coalitions and mergers.  And it’s dangerous that so many on the right can’t see the difference to save their lives . . . or save their movement.

I’m not talking about real conservatives candidates like Doug Hoffman who nearly won a Congressional seat by espousing real conservatism.  I like him, and we need more like him.  It’s too bad he lost, and maybe things will turn out differently in the next election for the New York 23 Congressional seat.  I’m talking about people like sex tape and nude photo star Carrie Prejean, liberal Lou Dobbs, and TV garbage magnatrix Linda McMahon.

Hilarious: Most Honest Sean Vannity Interview Ever . . .

Carrie Prejean’s Smug Hypocrisy on Larry King Live . . .

Let’s start with Dobbs, since so many conservatives are claiming he left CNN abruptly, last night, because the liberal cable network  wouldn’t let him be a “conservative.”  Please get something clear.  Lou Dobbs is NO conservative.  I know from personal experience, when we both appeared on the–thankfully!–now-defunct Montel show, and Dobbs viciously attacked me because I didn’t support nationalized healthcare.  And in his resignation, last night, he pimped “climate change.”  That’s conservative?  PUH-LEEZE.

Student Drivers To Be Force-Fed Environmental Propaganda?!

By Debbie Schlussel

I remember learning to drive.  The private driving school I went to didn’t teach me to drive and was a waste of time, but I was required to provide proof that I went to a driver’s ed school, in order to get my driver’s permit.  Then, the real driver’s education began–my dad taught me to drive.

drivingschoolpropaganda

But now, student drivers in Michigan will face more boredom–and a lot of global warming and environmental baloney–if some Democrat legislators have their way.  It’s more big government and not exactly a great idea in a state reeling from losses in the auto industry.  Not to mention that it’s outrageous to force-feed teens left-wing propaganda in exchange for the ability to drive, a necessity in most American communities which don’t have mass transit.
