NY Times Scrubs Its Own Reporting on White House Party Crasher Tareq Salahi’s Board Membership in Pro-Palestinian Terror Grp

By Debbie Schlussel

Why did the New York Times scrub out news that it broke about the White House-crashing couple’s ties to an organization that supports Islamic terrorism?

tareqsalahiatfp

Yes, Tareq Salahi, the male half of the couple who crashed the White House State Dinner for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, is a Palestinian and likely Muslim. And not only that he’s an activist Palestinian who is likely Muslim, and who is on the board of the Muslim-dominated American Task Force on Palestine (see the google cached page, which has since been scrubbed), a group which–as I’ve previously noted on this site–is anti-Semitic and believes that all of Israel is Palestine and which openly supports HAMAS, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and all of their mass-murdering terrorist attacks.

michelleobamarushing

Um, Barack, Who Are You Talking To?

But, strangely, the New York Times–which first reported Salahi’s membership on the ATFP board– has scrubbed that from the article that first appeared Thursday.

Did You Take Part in Diverse Complexion Friday?

By Debbie Schlussel

In case you didn’t hear, today is (or was–since most of the deals expired hours ago) “Black Friday.”  Since I don’t want to unfairly denigrate an entire race with this term (based solely on the business term, “in the black,” where most retailers pray today puts them for the year–yes, it has nothing to do with race), I propose we call it “Diverse Complexion Friday.”  In the interest of multi-culturalism, understanding, and tolerance to the max, we must include everyone when referring to bargains and getting things on the cheap.  (Attention those who take me seriously on this–a/k/a liberals, this is a joke.  I’m mocking . . . the politically correct and race merchants like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson).  Cue the past outrages over the word “niggardly,” which means something you might be if you participate in Diverse Complexion Friday, looking for a bargain . . . and which has no root in or connection to any racial word or epithet.

blackfriday

So, did you take part in the Diverse Complexion Friday shopping frenzy, today?  Why or why not?  If yes, was it worth getting up very early, braving crowds (and in some parts of the country, cold), as well as long lines?  Did you get any very good bargains that made it all worth it?

Normally, I loathe shopping and avoid it at all cost (or, rather, all saving.)  I avoid shopping like the plague if I can.  But Black Friday is a different story.  Every year, I tell myself I will no longer do it.   And this year, I meant it, shut off my alarm, and planned to sleep in, then head for the gym, this morning.  But then, I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and couldn’t get back to sleep, was too bored to stay home.  So, out I went.  I spent barely anything, but got a few cool things and particularly good bargains.  I pretty much have the basic things I want and way more than I need.  I really don’t need new stuff, so I really shouldn’t have been out there.  Still, what I got was worth it.  I just didn’t need it.  Any of it.  Not this year.

Holiday Box Office: “Ninja Assassin,” “Mr. Fox,” “The Road,” “Messenger”

By Debbie Schlussel

Sorry I didn’t post my movie reviews yesterday, as I’d planned, but my site crashed, etc.  “The best laid plans . . . .”  That’s just as well because the holiday movies opening yesterday or at Midnight aren’t anything to skip turkey or pumpkin pie for.  I did not see “Old Dogs,” as the screening was on a Saturday morning, when I am observing the Jewish Sabbath.

*  “Ninja Assassin“:  This is one of those movies where I say, it is what it is.  It’s a ninja movie, so if you don’t like those, don’t go to this.  It’s one of my guilty pleasures that, believe it or not, I like a good ninja movie (and other martial arts movies–yup, I like ’em).  So, I was excited to see this.  But I found this one to be excessively bloody, graphic, and gruesome.  Scene after scene of rivers of blood spurting out from grossly dismembered bodies, plus lots of extreme beatings–that’s what this movie is.   And I was a little taken aback.

Thanksgiving Football: Time to End Detroit/Dallas Boring Monopoly? The Pained Matt Stafford Audio

By Debbie Schlussel

Every contemporary Thanksgiving,  many Americans don’t just eat turkey and fixins and express thanks for what they have.  They also watch football.  And, as I discussed in years past, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys maintain a monopoly on the afternoon’s NFL broadcasts.  Both games are usually a must-miss, boring waste of time. . . especially with the Lions.

detroitlions.jpgpilgrims.jpg

But, as I noted last year, the NFL puts up with it, at least in the Lions’ case, because of the Ford family and Ford Motor Company’s long-time sponsorship of NFL broadcasts and other NFL moneymakers.  Not sure why they put up with Jerry Jones (Dallas’ owner and quasi-coach).  USA Today’s Michael Hiestand says it’s time to end the “tradition,” which he calls a turkey.  Is he right?  Read my take in a previous post. Not that I really care much.  I’m never watching, and it’s number 1,001 on my list of 1,000 important Thanksgiving topics.  If the pilgrims were here today, they’d be shocked that this game they aren’t familiar with (played by giants) is such an important part of our holiday.

On a related note, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will be playing today, despite the fact that he injured himself in a last minute upset win over the Cleveland Browns, Sunday. But the big talk all over Detroit and elsewhere in the sports world is the audio/video of him writhing in pain (posted below). There’s nothing doing in the video until about four minutes in, though at 2:40, you can see a cameo appearance by Venus Williams (or is that Mike Tyson in a blue wig?), which is kinda funny.  So are the several “I Love You, Man” expressions.

Remembering the Victims of Mumbai: Revered Rabbi’s Thanksgiving Message

By Debbie Schlussel

Last night, I watched a PBS a/k/a Palestinian Broadcasting Company documentary on last year’s Mumbai Massacre perpetrated by Islamic terrorists. Hard to believe it was only a year ago, last Thanksgiving, that Muslims targeted Americans, British, and Jews, and murdered every last Jew (other than a baby) at the Lubavitch Jewish Center, known as Nariman House, in Mumbai. Not only should we give thanks that these Muslim thugs haven’t taken over our country (yet), but also that we did not suffer the fate of those who were massacred in Mumbai.

The Late Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem M. Schneerson, of Blessed Memory

While the documentary’s narrator took great pains to tell us that the terrorists were “indiscriminate” and targeted “Christians, Muslims, and Jews,” the documentary and the facts told a different story. A Turkish Muslim couple, Seyfi and  Meltem Muezzinoglu, were spared their lives because they were, in fact, Muslims and cited a sura from the koran to prove it. The telephone calls from the terrorist masterminds in Pakistan were recorded, and you can hear one of them saying, “Spare the two Muslims, and kill everyone else.”  The Muezzinoglus recount how they were allowed to live as they heard and watched the terrorists shoot a rain of bullets at all of the non-Muslims among them, with a torrent of blood falling on them. Yes, clearly non-Muslims–specifically Jews, Americans, and Brits–were targeted.

Happy Thanksgiving, America! (Plus, My Kosher Thanksgiving)

By Debbie Schlussel

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends and readers. We have much to be thankful about here in America at the end of 2009.

normanrockwellthanskgiving.jpg

To those who wished me a Happy Thanksgiving, I regret I cannot respond to each of you personally, but Right Back At Ya! A joyous, delicious, fun Thanksgiving to you!

On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you who regularly read my words. I will remember all of those who serve our country in the U.S. Armed Forces and those who gave their lives so we can enjoy our turkey in freedom and without wearing a niqab, hijab, or jilbab; so that we can enjoy our lives as we wish and live freely. While left-wing self-hating Americans want us to recall their phony version of history–ie., that we are the oppressors, don’t forget that the real oppression is going on elsewhere . . . all over the world today. A large part of it is under Islamic totalitarian rule, some of it under Communists and “former” Communists. I give thanks that we are not like them.

Thanksgiving is NOT for Vegetarians (or Vegans); Soy Milk Causes “Moobs”?

By Debbie Schlussel

One of the great things about Thanksgiving (other than a day to give thanks for the great country and our freedoms) is that it’s not a holiday for vegetarians.  And certainly not vegans.  Yes, there’s the pumpkin pie (or sweet potato pie–they taste very similar to me).  And the cranberry sauce.  But it doesn’t taste too good on a tofurkey.  CNN has a whole thing on vegetarian Thanksgivings, which sounds like an oxymoron to me.  None of it sounds too delish.  Soya chunks?  Yuck-a-not-licious.  Add brown food coloring, and it sounds like artificial feces for a movie set.

No, tomorrow is for carnivores, meat eaters.  I love turkey.  Yes, mine’ll be kosher.  But, hey, as I’ve noted in Thanksgivings past, we Jews invented brine.  Kosher is the original brine, as we salt all of our meat and poultry.  Thus, the name, “Kosher Salt.”  Kosher turkey comes brined already.  So, we’re already one step ahead on the Thanksgivin’ fixins.  Plus no le jambon for us, either.  (But, unlike a certain other religion, it’s just fine with us if those non-Jews around us eat ham to their hearts’ content.)

But those of us who are not vegan slobs have one other thing to be thankful for . . . or, rather, thankful for NOT having, those of the male persuasion, anyway:  man-boobs a/k/a “moobs.”  So, is Jeremy Piven the male Dolly Parton b/c of soy milk, or is this yet another lame excuse for not working out?  I post, you decide.  And don’t forget that, as I’ve noted in the past, there are, indeed, certain frequently occurring substances and essences in products that make boys and men unwittingly like chicks.  From the November 23 issue of US Magazine:

Hey, maybe they should rename his show, “Entourage Plus Twins.”

Hey, Don’t Give Terrorist Murderers a Fat Lip; Navy SEALS Criminally Charged

By Debbie Schlussel

A couple of years ago, I was on the thankfully now-defunct “Montel” show to discuss political issues (and get berated by the unduly smug pothead with two diamond stud earrings, who hosted the eponymous show).  I was on with the family of one of the Blackwater employees who was burnt to a crisp and hung on display in Fallujah by Iraqi Muslim barbarians (a redundant phrase).  The family was suing Blackwater (now known as “Xe”) and placed the blame squarely on Blackwater and not the Islamic terrorists who did this.  That was the point I tried to focus on during the show.

fallujahmassacre1.jpg

fallujahmassacre2.jpg

fallujahmassacre3.jpg

fallujahmassacre4.jpg

Now, U.S. troops are also getting the treatment Blackwater got.  They captured one of the savage Islamic terrorists who committed this brutal, barbaric set of murders and desecrations.  But they gave the guy a fat lip.  And, in the Obama Islamo-pandering worldview, a swollen lip far exceeds murdering four Americans, burning their bodies to a crisp, and hanging them on display for Muslim laughing, smiling, and partying.

It should be noted that the Bush Administration wasn’t much better on these things, with Condi Clueless a/k/a Condoleezza Rice forcing Muslim “sensitivity training” on Blackwater not long after the brutal murders of the four American contractors.

Still gotta love that Obama “perspective,” which is that much worse and hits a new low in surrender monkey-ism. Yup, this is how Barack Obama wishes the Navy SEALS a “Happy Thanksgiving.” Actually, it appears he’s taken the Best Buy route and skipped the Thanksgiving greetings in favor of a Happy Eid Al-Adha wish to Muslims. And it’s truly “meaningful.” Eid Al-Adha is the Muslim “festival of the sacrifice.” And the Obama Administration is sacrificing these Navy SEALS on the alter of Islamo-pandering:

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges. . . .

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

On Thanksgiving, Be Thankful That Your Rabbi, Pastor Ain’t Like This

By Debbie Schlussel

If your pastor, priest, reverend, rabbi, or whatever you call your cleric, is like either of the two non-Muslim guys in this rendition of “The Three Stooges,” it’s time to find a new house of worship.

We Are the World, We Are the Children; Can’t We All Just Get Along and Ignore Nidal Malik Hasan’s Islamic Terrorist Massacre? Blah, Blah, Blah:

But there they were, Rabbi Ted Falcon, the Rev. Don Mackenzie and Sheik Jamal Rahman, walking into an Indian restaurant, and afterward a Presbyterian church. The sanctuary was full of 250 people who came to hear them talk about how they had wrestled with their religious differences and emerged as friends.

Dumbassity: Rabbi Ted Falcon Hugs Muslim @ Mosque

They call themselves the “interfaith amigos.” And while they do sometimes seem more like a stand-up comedy team than a trio of clergymen, they know they have a serious burden in making a case for interfaith understanding in a country reeling after a Muslim Army officer at Fort Hood, Tex., was charged with opening fire on his fellow soldiers, killing 13.

Naples, Fla “Kick a Jew Day” Jibes w/ FBI Hate Crimes Figs

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, I gave you my exclusive analysis of just-released FBI hate crimes.  As I noted, the figures show that two-thirds of all religion-based hate crimes are against Jews, and that the number of hate crimes against Jews is growing. So, it comes as no surprise that, last week, at least ten students at Naples, Florida’s Ten North Naples Middle School organized a “Kick a Jew Day” at their school.

yellowstar.jpg

Sadly, the Naples school district only gave the Kick a Jew Day “organizers” a one-day suspension and forced all the kids to take meaningless, waste of time sensitivity training.

The students actually went around asking other students if they were Jews.  So, this was not just in the, um, “planning” stages.  And many Jewish kids were, in fact, kicked.  Watch the video and note that at least one grandparent doesn’t have a problem with the “Kick a Jew Day.” (He’d have looked great in brown.  Wonder what size jackboot he wears.)  Yes, anti-Semitism is growing, and Muslim anti-Semitism all over the world–coupled with our bending over backward to Muslim anti-Semites since 9/11 when their fellow co-religionists murdered nearly 3,000 Americans–is, in big part, to blame. It makes these other anti-Semites feel comfortable in what was becoming impolite and unacceptable until recently.

More:

Ten North Naples Middle School students were suspended last week after district officials said they participated in “kick a Jew day.”
