While you may have heard a lot in the past few days about American-born David Coleman Headley a/k/a Daood Gilani’s role as the scout for Islamic terrorists in selecting sites for the Mumbai terror attacks and murders, you probably didn’t hear much about how Americans caught on to him and his role.

It was thanks to a sharp Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent at a U.S. airport.  In a usually thankless job, border and airport inspectors working for CBP must ask a myriad of aliens and American citizens the same questions all day long and figure out which ones might be dangerous.  In the case of Headley/Gilani, one sharp CBP agent was on the money, and it began an extensive investigation and surveillance.  While federal authorities already suspected the man, it was thanks to sharp questioning by CBP that authorities had enough to go on.

Terror suspect David Headley was questioned by an airport inspector in August and deceptive answers about his travels abroad helped officials begin to unravel Mr. Headley’s alleged double life.

So, I just spent three hours sitting in a dark movie theater on this sunny, but very windy, cold day at a screening of the much-hyped “Avatar,” from director James Cameron.  Can’t say anything about it until my review next week, when it debuts.  Do you think I liked it?  Watch the trailer, and you can probably figure it out.

Jimmuh’s grandson, Jason Carter, says he’s planning to run for the Georgia State Senate, for a seat representing DeKalb County.  Lucky Georgia.

Oh, and by the way, we should worry about this, because just like Granddaddy, I’m sure “Jasuh’s” political ambitions don’t stop with the State Senate.

And he’s already slimily avoiding answering whether he agrees with Grandpappy’s anti-Israel, pro-HAMAS/pro-Hezbollah “work.”

As I’ve noted over and over again, ever since 9/11 and the mass murder of nearly 3,000 Americans by 19 Muslim men, we’ve been lectured by everyone, from President Bush to the vast American left to Sean Vannity and Glenn Beck, that only foreign Muslims are extremist, that only they are the ones who commit terrorist acts because they are impoverished, uneducated, and don’t have “the economic opportunities” that American Muslims have.  We’ve been told that these American Muslims are “moderate” because they have those things.  French journalist Bernard-Henri Levy visited Dearbornistan and wrote a whole book declaring how moderate the Muslims in America’s Hezbollahstan are because of these “opportunities.”

And as I’ve always noted, this view is bunk.  It’s been proven to us, time and again.  American Muslims are no different than Muslims in the mountains and caves of Tora Bora, but for better plumbing.

In the past week alone, two different sets of Muslims were in the news for terrorist activity.  Yesterday, news broke of five American Muslims who were arrested in Pakistan for planning jihad.  They connected on Facebook.  They lived in the Washington, DC area, went missing, and one of them left behind a martyrdom farewell video.  One of the men, Ramy Zamzam, was a dental student at Howard University.  The others are Eman Yasir, Waqar Hasan, Umer Farooq and Khalid Farooq.  They’re the third set of American Muslims linked to Pakistan and involved in terrorist plots.

Earlier this week, more federal charges were brought against David Coleman Headley a/k/a Daood Gilani, the American-born and raised Muslim, whose mother was a Philadelphia socialite, because it came to light that Mr. Headley/Gilani was the scout for the Mumbai Islamic terrorist attacks of last year.  Yup, he helped pick out the hotels AND the Chabad Jewish Center and put them on deck for the bloody murders that ultimately took place.  I wrote about Mr. Headley/Gilani and his employment at a Chicago-area Islamic halal slaughter plant on this site.

So, I just got back from a workout session at the gym.  And this song from my Zune (it’s on my IPod, too), part of my workout music, is spinning around in my head.  No matter what you think of Journey, this is a great song that, in my view, stands the test of time, even if it’s not one of the group’s more well-known hits.  It’s from the 1983 “Frontiers” album. Gotta love Neal Schon on guitar. He’s the master, especially at the end of the song. This and a mix of other hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and ’00s is the background music for my running, stairmaster, weights, etc.

I always say that America to Britain is like Conservative Judaism to Reformed Judaism.  Both are watered down versions of something that in its purer form is good.  And one is just ten years behind the other in becoming even more watered down and farther from the real thing.

America is only a decade or two behind Britain in the categories of Muslim immigration, and–even sadder–giving in to Muslim intolerance.

Pander Bears: British Policewomen In Their New Islamo-Pander Gear

In a decade or two, or perhaps a few decades more, our policewomen in several localities will be just like these policewomen in Britain who have a new article of clothing added to their uniform.  Heck, our Homeland Security agents are already required to go through training instructing them not to enter a home where only a woman is present and to remove their shoes.  This ain’t far behind.

The West and its law enforcement authorities have to decide whether they are running an etiquette shop or actual law enforcement. They can’t have both. Sadly, they’ve indeed decided, there . . . and here.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has begun to equip its female officers with a uniform issue hijab to wear when they enter a mosque.

People have the faulty impression that only liberals care about the homeless.  Wrong.  It’s just that conservatives have a different way of doing it.

And liberals . . . well, some of them “help” the homeless by using federal dollars for the homeless to fund Democrat political candidates and office holders.  That’s exactly what Jon Rutherford, director of Metro Emergency Services, a homeless shelter, and his bookkeeper, Judith Bugaiski, did.  They were indicted in 2006, and yesterday, pleaded guilty. And–shocker!–Detroit’s embattled former Mayor Kwame “The Kingpin” Kilpatrick is involved, as is failed Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

The two top officials of a homeless shelter accused of funneling $750,000 in taxpayer dollars to political causes associated with officials ranging from Kwame Kilpatrick to Gov. Jennifer Granholm pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal tax evasion charges.

Airhead “View” Hag Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Out Federal Air Marshals, Not Lesbians

Hasselbeck praised Barack Obama Supreme Court choice Sonia Sotomayor, agreed with Obama that police officer James Crowley “acted stupidly” and was “racist” for arresting Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, Jr. at his Cambridge, Massachusetts home, and praised both Al Sharpton and Snoop Dogg.  Yup, that’s your “conservative.”

Now, though, this airhead has not only displayed her vapidity, but also her hypocrisy. She had no problem outing the identity of a Federal Air Marshal, but she’s upset that a celebrity was outed as gay.  Priorities, Shmiorities.  Hypocrisy, Shmypocrisy.
