Rep. Artur Davis: “Not Black Enough” Because He’s Against ObamaCare

By Debbie Schlussel

Several years ago, I told readers, friends, and relatives about Artur Davis, Jr.  He was a moderate-to-liberal Democrat running for Congress in Alabama against Earl Hilliard, a pan-jihadist, anti-Israel, openly anti-Semitic, far-left wacko Congressman.  Davis ran for the seat in 2000, but Hilliard–armed with Arab Muslim contributions from all over America, including top CAIR officials and other prominent Muslims now in prison for their ties to terrorists–beat him in the Democratic Primary.  Then,  in 2002, Davis–armed with money from pro-Israel and centrist Americans, nationwide–challenged Hilliard and retook the Congressional seat in the safe Democratic district.

Congressman Artur Davis: “Not Black Enough” for Jesse Jackson

Davis is not your typical liberal.  He’s an independent thinker and opposes ObamaCare, which he voted against.  And, for that, he’s come under attack from Jesse Jackson, who claims that Davis is “not Black enough.”  It’s disgusting.  Race-mongers like Jackson constantly lecture us not to stereotype Blacks as this way or that way.  And here, in Davis, we have an independent thinker, whom the race merchants excoriate for not towing the “Black party line” of a man–Barack Obama–whom Jackson also didn’t think was “Black enough.” This is despite the fact that Davis has an “A” rating from the NAACP for his legislative votes.

Now, Davis is running for Governor of Alabama and faces one key challenger, Ron Sparks, in the June Democratic Primary.  And, yes, he’s still a mostly liberal Democrat.  But what’s interesting is that he’s coming under attack from those, like Jackson, who should be on his side if they really stand for what they claim to stand for.  We know, of course, that they do not.  And I applaud Davis for standing firm against nationalized, government-run healthcare, something Davis’ White liberal Democrat colleagues in Congress don’t have the guts to do.  The man has courage and has demonstrated that he’s an independent thinker.  We need more like that on both sides of the aisle and in governor’s mansions.

Alabama radio talk show host David Person has more:

The “black enough” argument is antiquated and offensive, but it’s a game high-profile African-American candidates seem doomed to play — at least in part because old-school civil rights leaders keep it alive.

Man Up: Golf Channel Dude Turns in Man Card (for . . . Tiger Woods?!)

By Debbie Schlussel

There are so many man-tears flooding out of the Golf Channel’s Charlie Rymer’s eyes over–of all things–the Tiger Woods press conference, I thought I was watching an episode of “The Bachelor,” and it was “the most dramatic rose ceremony ever!”  Not only does this Rymer dude lose points for surrendering his testicles, but apparently he traded ’em for a timeshare on Gullible Island.  He claims part of the reason he was crying is that Tiger Woods was “very genuine” in his press conference.  Huh?  Newsflash: the dude robotically read some statement the PR people told him to, as if he was an automoton.  Wake up, Charlie.  And, please, lay off the lavender and tea tree oil.

tigerwoodssmilingcharlierymer

I could see a guy–maybe–crying over . . . a death or tragedy befalling one of his family members, losing a fellow soldier in battle, or experiencing extremely excruciating pain from a serious injury or debilitating illness.  But a heavily scripted, staged press conference by a spoiled brat with a harem and a constantly descending zipper?  Come on.  Girlie-man City. And, Charlie, one word: perspective. Get some.  Man, if I were Bin Laden, I’d be playing this video over and over and over again on my cave widescreen, and I’d consider it for my next martyr recruitment vid. Yup, it’s more pathetic and sad than it is funny, that any grown man other than Tiger Woods would cry over a Tiger Woods press conference.

Frankly, if I had to cry over a Tiger press conference, it would be over the White Tiger press conference, not the Cablinasian Tiger press conference. And only because it wasn’t that funny.

Religion of Peace . . . & Gubernatorial Candidates Who Diss White People, Dig 9/11 Trutherism

By Debbie Schlussel

As readers know, I’ve been following the “candidacy” of Palestinian Muslim extremist haircare magnate and Texas Gubernatorial candidate Farouk Shami, who owns the Chi, BioSilk, and SunGlitz products through his Farouk Systems company.  I’ve noted how Shami donned an anti-Israel “Jerusalem is Ours” keffiyeh at an MLK Day event, worked for the P.L.O., Yasser Arafat, and the Saudi Royal family and how his father–after whom he named his “charitable” foundation–bragged about killing innocent Jews in pogroms prior to Israel’s independence.  And I’ve noted his activism and honors from the American Task Force on Palestine, a group that refuses to condemn HAMAS, Hezbollah, etc. and won’t recognize Israel’s existence, considering all of it to be “Palestine.”

faroukshamikeffiyeh

shutupfoolfaroukshami

I’ve been attacked by the Texas mainstream media for this, and that’s okay because, now, this magnificent specimen of extremism and Liberace clothes has demonstrated even more anti-Western hatred, announcing that White people don’t want to work and engaging in nutty 9/11 Trutherism conspiracy theories. Yup, not just a supporter of Islamic terrorism, but a racist AND a loon. Shocker. Get out your barf bag.

New campaign slogan: Farouk Is A Kook.

Reason #454,738 Not to Shop @ Muslim-Owned Gas Stations (& How to ID Them)

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve told readers before, I refuse to buy gas at Muslim-owned gas stations.  And a recent episode in South Florida, in which a Muslim refused gas to a supporter of Israel is yet another reason to add to my myriad of reasons NOT to shop at these places:

islamiccrescent.jpgdawoodgasstation.jpg

gasstationprotest

I don’t know where their cash is going and whether it’s being sent “back home” to fund terrorist operations (as has happened in Michigan many times in the past–and many gas stations were owned by Hezbollah agent and financier Ali Jawad, whose relatives in the Safieddine family were convicted of participating in cheating customers out of gas).  In the 1980s, in a joint State of Michigan-FBI investigation, Muslim-owned gas stations were caught ripping off customers, giving them far less gas than what the pump said they were getting.  The money was going to finance Islamic terrorist groups:  the P.L.O., Abu Nidal, and Hezbollah.  I have no way of knowing if they aren’t doing the same thing now . . . and I assume that they are, in fact, doing it.  And, as I’ve noted, many Muslim-owned gas stations have been caught cheating customers at the pump, just recently (see here also, with Arabs who ripped off customers).  I don’t know how little of the cash they earn is actually being declared to the State and the feds.

Plus they hate me.  And there’s no way to know if the gas or soda money they earn is used in mosque dues and Islamic school tuition–both other sources of anti-Semitic, anti-American, pro-terrorist hate–or “zakat,” Islamic “charity” donations, which funds who knows what. Check out how a Christian pro-Israel man was treated by a Muslim gas station employee in Tampa.  And check out how it was Christians who protested this anti-Israel gas station.  If only even a sliver of my fellow co-religionists were as supportive of Israel and the Jewish people as these fine, courageous Christians, whom I’m happy to have as friends and allies.  Kudos to Tampa Bay TV reporter Tanya Arja for covering the story:

About three dozen people stood outside a Brandon gas station Thursday, protesting the treatment of a customer.

Hilarious Sinatra Letter to Mike Royko Up for Auction By “Cheap Trick” Mom

By Debbie Schlussel

The only reality show I like is “Antiques Roadshow,” which unfortunately appears on PBS a/k/a Palestinian Broadcasting Service.  And my favorite segment on that show is one in which an older woman brings in a letter from Frank Sinatra to Mike Royko, the late Chicago newspaper columnist and one of my all-time favorite social commentators.  He was very pro-Israel, philo-Semitic (as was Sinatra), and saw the Muslims for the threat that they are, way ahead of his time.  Plus Royko was blunt and pulled no punches, always refreshing in his political incorrectness, even when I didn’t agree with him.  My father would always show me Royko’s columns.

franksinatramikeroyko

The letter is priceless (though not literally), and was written by Sinatra after Royko wrote a column complaining that old ladies were being robbed on the streets of Chicago because the Chicago Police were busy providing free security to Ole’ Blue Eyes.  Sinatra’s letter chewed Royko out.  Royko wrote a column about the letter and offered it up for auction, with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army.

Apparently, the woman who won the letter, Vie Carlson, is the mother of “Cheap Trick” drummer, Bun E. Carlos.  Now, she’s offering the letter–which “Antiques Roadshow” estimated to be worth about $15,000–for sale.  She owns her own museum, Carlson’s Western Town in Rockford, Illinois.

Celebrate Mossad Success & Remember The Past

By Debbie Schlussel

As I noted earlier last week, I think it’s hilarious and demonstrative how the world is reacting to the successful January hit on Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh a/k/a Abu Abed, the key HAMAS official, while he was staying at a Dubai hotel.  By now, everyone should realize that it was the work of the Mossad, as I’ve said I thought it was all along.  It was smooth, it was quick, it was successful, it was the righteous rub-out of an evil creature–all Mossad hallmarks.

It shows us:  1) the absolute incompetence of Dubai border officials and police, who look like complete fools and idiots here (and they are); and 2) the typical, BS international outrage–outrage!–at Israel for doing the dirty work the rest of the Western world refuses to do:  eliminating a key player in the Iran-Palestinian/HAMAS terrorist weapons smuggling network.  The work of the Mossad in Dubai is something to be celebrated and embraced.  And it’s important to note how quickly–as I pointed out, last week–the world is painting the elimination of Islamic terrorists as a bad thing, just as they did the Mossad hits on the Palestinian Islamic terrorists who planned and perpetrated the Munich Olympic Massacre.  People forget that the Mossad rubbed out men who not only murdered innocent athletes, but tortured them first, including castrating one member of the team. To that end, I recommend that you check out this video trailer of “Munich:  Operation Bayonet,” and how the CIA was working with and trying to protect one of the terrorists.  Just as with the Munich terrorists, the Mabhouh hit in Dubai was not about revenge or vengeance, it was about saving lives from future terrorist attacks and cleaning up some trash from the world, to boot.

You can buy the DVD “Munich: Operation Bayonet” and the above t-shirts only from my friends at Israel Catalog.

That’s Your Conservative?: Your Day in Glenn Beckitude

By Debbie Schlussel

****  SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE  ****

If your local newspaper, this weekend, featured the Gannett USA Weekend insert, you saw the cover and inside cover story featured Glenn Beck.  I found two parts of it particularly nauseating, er . . . “interesting.”  (And that’s aside from Beck’s repeated promotion of Hezbollah and Islamic terrorism cheerleader Jihad Darrell a/k/a Darrell Issa.)

glennbecktennisshoes

The first is his endorsement of the global warming junk science, which even the global warming crowd has implicitly admitted is bunk, since they’ve changed the name to “climate change,” to adjust for the weather that has inconveniently poked holes in their claims.  Remarkably–while Beck repeatedly told audiences of his syndicated radio show, his CNN Headline News show, and now his FOX News show that he did not buy into global warming nonsense–that’s not what he’s saying now:

He believes in global warming

“You’d be an idiot not to notice the temperature change,” he says. He also says there’s a legit case that global warming has, at least in part, been caused by mankind. He has tried to do his part by buying a home with a “green” design and using energy-saving products. “I’m willing to do anything but use the CFLs,” he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. “I put them in once and couldn’t stand the way they lit up the room.”

Well, thank Heaven for small favors.

Then, there’s his star-struck embrace of George Clooney and Clooney’s dhimmitude in refusing to stand up for Christian Sudanese (while there still were some left from the mass-murders, gang-rapes, and tortures at the hands of Arab Muslims). Both of them are now embracing the remaining Black Muslim Sudanese refugees, without pointing out the identity of their perpetrators (Arab Muslims)–a hallmark of Clooney’s dhimmi “outcry” over Sudan:

“Do You Believe in Miracles? YES!”: 30 Years Ago Today, USA Hockey Team Beat Soviets

By Debbie Schlussel

Thirty years ago today, on February 22, 1980, the first major event in the Reagan Revolution happened.  Despite Jimmy Carter’s “malaise days” speech and his admonition to Americans that they shouldn’t expect their kids to have a better future than they had, a group of working class kids, who slept on old prison cots at Lake Placid, beat the Soviet Union’s professional hockey team in the hockey semi-finals at the Olympic Winter Games.  Al Michaels’ famous, “Do You Believe in Miracles? YES!” lives on, as do chants of “USA! USA! USA!”  And ultimately, the team went on to win the Olympic Gold Medal against Finland in the finals. I was a kid then, and boys at my school dressed up as the U.S. Olympic Hockey team for the Jewish holiday of Purim (on which kids wear costumes, as on Halloween).

miracleonice.jpg

In January 1981, when Americans, held hostage in Iran at the time of the 1980 Miracle, returned home after 444 days in captivity from Islamic captors, they were shown a video of what they missed.  Many of them said the highlight of that film was the scene of Americans beating the Soviets.  But it wasn’t just that we beat them.  It’s that our amateurs beat their professionals, who’d bean unbeaten for eons.  Plus, it was the first major event in which Americans started to take pride in their country again, amid a horribly ineffective President, the hostages in Iran, double-digit inflation, a depressed auto industry under attack from cheap Japanese cars, and rising gas prices.

65 Years Since Iwo Jima: An Important Anniversary

By Debbie Schlussel

****  SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE  ****

Meant to get to this on Friday, and I’d be remiss not to recognize it.  Friday was the 65th anniversary of start of the Battle at Iwo Jima, the bloodiest battle in U.S. Marine Corps history and an important American victory over the Japanese in World War II.

iwojima2.jpg

Iwo Jima, 1945 by Photographer Joe Rosenthal

On February 19, 1945, U.S. Marines invaded the island of Iwo Jima, and while they lost many, the fight they won there helped turn the tide in the Pacific theater.  70,000 Marines fought at Iwo Jima.  Nearly 7,000 were killed and nearly 20,000 wounded in fighting in February and March. It is the setting of the famous Joe Rosenthal photo of American soldiers (five Marines and a Navy Corpsman) raising the American flag atop Mount Suribachi.

Tiger Woods Regurge: Shameless Gloria Allred Hosts Embarrassing Parody of Herself

By Debbie Schlussel

Several years ago, I debated Gloria Allred on CNN, over the issue of Augusta National’s lack of female members, which should have been a non-issue.  Feminists like Allred tried to make it one, and she bragged on the air that she once successfully sued a women’s health club on behalf of men.  I responded:  “What a great service to America, Gloria.”  Read the transcript (scroll down).  (I’ll try to post that video up on YouTube at some point).

tigerwoodssmilinggloriaallred2

Now, the shameless Allred performs yet another “great service” to America in representing several of Tiger Woods’ jilted bims, including this one in what appears to be a very funny, yet pathetic Saturday Night Live parody, but is, sadly, all too real.  I probably should’ve entitled this entry, “I slept with Tiger Woods, and I didn’t even get a lousy T-shirt.”  Essentially that’s the “meat” of this press conference.  To wit, that some sleazy bim is mad that the equally sleazy Tiger Woods isn’t living up to the lies he fed to his entire harem of gullible ditzes and is not leaving his wife for her even though “he promised me.”  Hilarious.  Oh, and way to distract us from the fact that you’re just a vile, blow-up doll harlot by wearing a “seemingly conservative” shirt that’s about 20 sizes too small for your, um, “silicone valley.”  Disgusting.  But, yet, pure comedy gold. I keep waiting for Ashton Kutcher to walk in or someone saying, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night.” Or, at least, a “question” from “Jake Byrd.”

Back in ancient history, a mistress was embarrassed. So sad that the world has degraded into these faux-crying shakedown press conferences with Allred and her bim clients, upset that they weren’t the only other woman in his life beside his wife.  Yup, yet another major step in the cultural decline of America.  Cha-ching. Monica Lewinsky apparently played it all wrong. She could’ve hired Allred and owned a piece of the Clinton Library.
