HILARIOUS VIDEO of the Day: Spoiled Lefty Celebs Teach Illegal Aliens to Speak English

By Debbie Schlussel

Spoiled Hollywood celebs (redundant phrase) don’t want us (or Arizona) to enforce immigration laws against illegal aliens.  And illegal aliens don’t know how to speak English.  Now, those spoiled celebs can teach the aliens how to speak English . . . in their own special way.  (One question:  do NBA refs really not know English swear words?  They really need a guide for this?)

So Sad, So Detroit: What Happened to Frank Pierce, RIP

By Debbie Schlussel

Given that today is the 235th birthday of the U.S. Army, I gotta remember Frank Pierce, a Detroit area World War II U.S. Army Veteran.  What happened to him is so sad . . . and sadly, so Detroit.  Sounds like such a good guy.  Sad that this is the way he went.

Say Nice Things About Detroitistan

Family members said the retired truck driver and World War II Army veteran was a man of principle who taught his nine children the difference between right and wrong.

Mr. Pierce died Wednesday after being robbed at Greektown Casino in Detroit and trying to reclaim his winnings.

Happy Flag Day, America & Happy B-Day, US Army

By Debbie Schlussel

June 14th is always a two-fer:  Flag Day and the birthday of the U.S. Army.  (I am a proud Army family member.)

My Two Fave Flag Pics:

It’s truly auspicious, that, on this day, we celebrate both the flag that stands for our country and its freedoms, but also the men who serve in one of our military branches to protect us and those freedoms.

My Dad’s Army Uniform From During Vietnam

As I’ve written before,

whether or not you believe the whole Betsy Ross story is true, what counts is what our flag stands for. It stands for America, for freedom, and for the men who died so we could have it and continue to have it. Read the rest of this entry »

Meet Larry King’s Troop-Murdering Replacement, Piers Morgan

By Debbie Schlussel

He may have a pretentious name and a fancy English accent, but those are among the many deceptions of Piers Morgan, the man set to replace Larry King on his CNN prime time talk show.  In fact, Morgan–about whom I’ve written on this site before–is a despicable low-life, who deliberately betrayed Western troops and put them in danger.  And the close friend of Simon Cowell engaged in sleazy, illegal self-dealing in stock trades.

Piers Morgan: Larry King’s Sleazy, Despicable Replacement on CNN

And that makes him perfect for CNN, the second English-speaking Al-Jazeera on U.S. soil.  Morgan, as you may know, rose to fame as the Editor-in-Chief of the UK’s Daily Mirror tabloid newspaper.  But the part that’s, unfortunately, rarely mentioned is what’s important–why he was forced to leave the Mirror.  As I noted back in 2007,

He’s the former editor because he was fired in May 2004, after he stood by hoax photos his paper published of British soldiers allegedly torturing Iraqi detainees.

The photos were faux, as in faux-tography. Yet–once he was caught–instead of apologizing, Morgan stood by their veracity and claimed he’d be vindicated. That remains his position, three years later, despite the fact that it was obvious that the photos had been staged. Morgan’s actions were reprehensible, irresponsible, and endangered British–and American–troops’ lives. And they were used as recruiting tools for Al-Qaeda.

Beware of Mid-East Store Owners Cashing the Winning Lottery Tix They Just Sold You

By Debbie Schlussel

Sometimes, you can take the Arab out of the Mid-East, but you can’t take the Arab Street out of the Middle Easterner.  Check out what happened to Susie Betts, who bought two winning lottery tickets.  At least, they were winning lottery tickets .  .  . until the Iraqi store owners who sold them to her duplicated them and cashed them in “by accident.”

The Iraqi Arabs Who Sold Susie Betts Her Winning Lottery Tix Ripped Her Off

This isn’t a one-time thing.  This kind of lottery fraud happens all the time and it usually involves the same kind of perpetrator.  A Michigan State Police Detective told me he was involved in several investigations like these, all of them involving Arab gas station and convenience store owners, most of them Muslim.  He said they often forge duplicates of winning numbers and tickets, and one investigation he was involved in had Hezbollah ties, as the owner was a Shi’ite Muslim who was involved in illegally raising money for the group.

Susie Betts says her luck ran out when she redeemed her winning Lucky Lines lottery ticket only to find out someone else had claimed the prize.

Religion of Peace . . . And Executing 7-Year-Old Boys

By Debbie Schlussel

They claim this seven-year-old boy was “spying.”  More likely is that he refused to participate in Bacha Bazi, the Afghani Muslim custom of forcing young boys to dress and dance like girls, then submit to rape by older men.  In fact, I’d bet on it, that this was the case.

talibanhangsboy

Here’s the story, from CBS News, of yet another blatant act of barbarism in the Afghan war we really aren’t fighting and, therefore, won’t win.  Religion of peace?  More like Religion of Rest in Peace:

Taliban militants accused a seven-year-old boy of spying and hanged him earlier this week in Afghanistan’s southern Helmand province, a local government official tells CBS News.

Does This Mean We’ll Finally Get Rid of Affirmative Action?

By Debbie Schlussel

Today, every major newspaper and media outlet is running the story about U.S. Census estimates showing that minorities make up almost half–48.3%–of all births in the U.S. And in 2009, something called the “Diversity Index”–the probability that two Americans chosen at random would be of a different race or ethnicity–reached 52%.

blackwhitemask

That tells me that minorities are no longer “minorities.”  They are the majority, or soon will be.  Very soon, White people will be the minority.  White males–in many respects–already are being hit hard with job losses in the bad economy and very much in the minority in college and grad school admissions.  This trend will only continue, given these figures from the U.S. Census.

And since that’s the case, I have a rhetorical question to ask, because I already know the answer is a big, fat “no”:  Does the fact that Whites are in the minority mean that American employers, federal agencies, colleges and universities, and every other institution will stop practicing affirmative action in admissions, hiring, and promotions?

Weekend Box Office: “The A-Team,” “The Karate Kid”

By Debbie Schlussel

Two remakes of ’80s stuff at the box office, this weekend. Hey, Hollywood, come up with something new.

ateamkaratekid

* “The A-Team“: No, it’s not a great movie, and yes, the story is convoluted and silly. But what did you expect? It’s “The A-Team.” If you watched the stupid, campy 1980’s show, you know that the show wasn’t all that great. The movie lives up to the show and is an apt 2010 update.

Saying “No” to HBO: E-Mail Exchange of the Day

By Debbie Schlussel

**** UPDATE: FYI, HBO’s publicist, Kate Brunkhorst, asked me to remove her contact info from this post, which I agreed to do. ****

HBO’s publicists are apparently contacting certain bloggers and commentators, trying to get them to promote HBO’s program, “For Neda,” about the Iranian “democracy” protester who died.  I was one of those contacted, but I’ll pass.  You know my views on the protesters–they are radicals who support Hezbollah and are no different than those in office in Iran.  Anyone–and there remain many, including their ignorant verbal Lewinsky, car loan fraud artists Scamela Geller–who thinks otherwise is a fool, an ignoramus, or on crack.  Below is the e-mail I received from the typically anti-Israel HBO and my response.  I think it fully explains my position on the Iranian “democracy” protester BS.  Please note that in the last couple of weeks a number of these “moderate” Iranian “democrats”  have sent me anti-Semitic and anti-Israel hate mail and have also similarly tweeted on Twitter and posted the same on their FaceBook profile pages.

VIDEO of a DUMBASS – Fiorina Catty Chow: Palin’s Liberal Airhead Choice Attacks Boxer’s “Bad Hair”

By Debbie Schlussel

You know that quote about glass houses and throwing stones?  It’s a quote that Sarah Palin’s idiotic–and liberal–choice for California’s U.S. Senate seat, Republican nominee Carly Fiorina needs to read in her mirror.

Frankly, I thought a U.S. Senate seat was about who has the right positions on the issues.  Not about who has the best hair, which–memo to Fiorina–ain’t her. The vulcan brush cut look may be hip at WNBA games, Dinah Shore classics, and comfortable shoes jam sessions with Janet Napolitano. But elsewhere? Uh, no.

carlyfiorinabarbarboxer

Yeah, Let’s Run the Race on Who Has Better Hair

You see, Fiorina–being so stupid she didn’t realize that when you’re miked, you’re miked–thinks this is about which chick is more qualified to be the next Prez of the Hair Club for Women. And on that score, she’s sadly mistaken. Oh, and while we’re on the topic of hair and other chief qualifications for the U.S. Senate, Carly, Martha Washington called. She wants her jacket back. Or was that my Great Aunt Edna? Either way, I know one of ’em wore that hideous thing back in the day.
