I’ve warned before that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has a history of recoiling from his tough talk and eventually giving in to U.S. pressure, giving the Palestinian terrorists a lot of what they want.  Reader Jon Grant calls him “Nothingyahu” because of this.  And he has a point.

To wit, you can thank Nothingyahu for removing the only obstacle to terrorist transports between the Palestinian terrorist hotbeds of Nablus and Jenin in the so-called West Bank.  As you may recall Jenin is the site of manufacture of terrorist bombs used in several homicide bombings against innocent Israelis at pizza shops, cafes, bars, and Passover seders in 1999-2002.  In 2000 and 2001, Israeli soldiers uncovered several such bomb factories in Jenin and several masterminds of them.  But Jenin continues to be the comfy home of several wanted Palestinian terrorist masterminds.  And it is the home for planning many Islamic terrorist attacks which go on daily against innocent Israeli civilians and others.  Nablus is more of the same.  As I’ve noted, it is the site of the University of Nablus, a HAMAS hotbed where exhibits were made mocking the victims of the Jerusalem Sbarro Pizza homicide bombing.

The reason Israel had a security checkpoint at Shave Shomeron on the only road between the two cities was to prevent Islamic terrorists from using the road to transport weapons and fellow terrorists.  It was also to protect Israelis living in Jewish areas along the way from terrorist attacks.  Now, all of that is gone.  And it’s all Nothingyahu’s doing, under pressure from Obama, to “soften” the Israeli stance toward the Palestinians, who viewed the checkpoint as a hassle.  I view the checkpoint at the U.S.-Canada border to be a hassle.  Maybe Obama can remove that, too, so we can allow terrorists to travel freely between the two places, just as they now can between Nablus and Jenin.

There was a lot of good news and a little bad news in Tuesday’s Michigan Primary election.  I’ll go over more of that in a later post, but for now, the great news:  one of THE most left-wing, most anti-Israel, most pan-Muslim, most offensive and racist Members of Congress got defeated.  Yup, convicted felon and deposed former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s mother, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick went down in her bid to hold on to her U.S. Congressional seat from Michigan’s 13th District in Detroit.  The Kilpatrick political machine is over.  Dead, along with the Kennedys.

Buh-Bye: Kwame’s Mommy & Pimp-Daddy Son Dynasty Ends

The bad news?  Well, for starters, we won’t get any more of those amusing videos of Kwame’s Mommy screaming at Detroit citizens to turn off their televisions and back up “Y’all’s Boy” (her words), her son Kwame as his legal troubles began to mount and his crimes came to light. They were REALLY entertaining. To wit:

I’ve written repeatedly (here and here) about my feelings on the proposed Ground Zero mosque a/k/a Cordoba House, an issue which is a red herring used by grandstanders and publicity seeking frauds.  You know who they are (Scamela alert, Newt alert, Sarah alert).  If they were truly bothered by a mosque there, they’d be bothered, as I am, by a mosque anywhere in America.  And they’d be bothered by the other mosque, which is already in existence right near Ground Zero.  But they aren’t.  This is about an opportunity for self-promotion and intellectual dishonesty quickly consumed by the gullible.  Today, they are up in arms that they did not get historical landmark designation for this building, a designation which they never sought when it was Burlington Coat Factory, so it’s yet more intellectual fraud and hypocrisy.  But there’s a bigger hypocrite than all of them on this issue.

Dan Senor, Shameless Hypocrite & Fraud

The hypocrite of the day–especially on the Ground Zero mosque issue–is Dan Senor, the shamelessly self-promoting incompetent architect of the disastrous first months of the War in Iraq, as a top Senior “Coalition” Adviser.  As I’ve noted before, he was behind Paul Bremer’s stupid policy of removing all Sunni remnants from any place in the new Iraqi police and army, effectively handing those. to Iran’s Shi’ite backers forever and to date.  But, today, his hypocrisy is on Cordoba House.  He has a piece in today’s Wall Street Journal decrying the mosque.  And it ties nicely into what I’ve been saying–about hypocrites using this issue for self-aggrandizement when they’ve been wrong on every part of the larger picture that caused the very idea and possibility of the Ground Zero mosque in the first place.

You see, Dan Senor is behind the increase in Muslim illegal immigration in America, the increase in Muslim illegal aliens who overstayed their student and tourist visas here.  And Senor is behind nearly $100 million in US aid that went straight to Hezbollah in South Lebanon in 2000.  And he’s behind putting CAIR–a partner in and supporter of the Ground Zero mosque–in high regard on Capitol Hill.

Senor’s political career began as he rose to Press Secretary and key advisor to and apologist for then-U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham.  He stood up for and defended Abraham when Abraham, as a committee chairman, starved all money for a computer tracking system for aliens who come here on visas.  Senor stood up for and served as chief apologist for Abraham when he did this at the behest of pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS James Zogby of the Arab American Institute.  And he stood up for and shilled for Abraham as Abraham sought nearly $300 million in U.S. aid for Hezbollah in South Lebanon, also at Zogby’s urging.  Ultimately, Abraham succeeded in getting $86 million.  Imagine how many missiles and rockets and terror training camps that funded.  And Senor continued to be Abraham’s chief apologist as Abraham took CAIR’s officials all over Capitol Hill and made them a force to be reckoned with.  Ditto when Abraham was one of two U.S. Senators who refused to sign a letter to President Clinton urging him to tell Yasser Arafat to stop the homicide bombings in Israel, at the height of those attacks.

Oh, and by the way, this is yet another program beefed up by President Bush, while Obama continues it.

After the 9/11 attacks, Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates held off FBI investigators for more than six months, refusing to cooperate with their investigations.  As you probably know, the hijackers used Dubai bank accounts and IDs to finance and carry out their attacks that murdered 3,000 innocent American civilians.  Also, the Emirates continued to recognize the Taliban as late as December of 2001. And they funded anti-American, anti-Semitic, Holocaust-denying speakers and authors.

Contrast that with America’s enthusiastic participation in the investigation of the alleged Mossad hit squad, which heroically assassinated HAMAS terrorist and Iranian arms procurer Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh a/k/a “Abu Abed.” The U.S. has assigned a team of agents to help Dubai and the U.A.E. ferret out the identities of the assassins of this stain on the earth who was removed from the planet.  It’s an outrage. If only they investigated Islamic terrorists on U.S. soil with the exuberance that they are investigating alleged Israelis who did the world a favor by doing in a mass murderer on Dubaian soil.

In fact, the only party more zealous in attacking and “exposing” Israel on the Dubai assassination is the Wall Street Journal, which has two reporters working on the story, and does regular articles on it (including gushing over Dubai’s incompetent Keystone Kop Police Chief, Dahi Khalfan Tamim–Inspector Clouseau, take note).  On Saturday, the Journal devoted a half a page to the topic of the U.S. investigating Israel and helping the clown employment agency known as the Dubai police in the matter.  It’s simply sickening.  And, hey, it’s Obama’s government, so the zeal of federal investigators on this has to come from the top.  His administration,  his policy:

American investigators, cooperating in a probe of the January assassination of a top Palestinian leader in Dubai, have identified a handful of U.S.-based companies believed to have been used to transfer money to suspects in the case, a finding that brings international authorities closer to identifying who funded the operation.

One of the starkest examples are the two complete crooks and Muslim enthusiasts in Michigan’s 9th Congressional District.  The GOP has a good chance of taking the seat back, come November.  But the choices are between two equally loathsome dirtbags who are the sleaziest, most crooked Republicans–no, politicians of any party–I know in Michigan.  The only thing I like about this race is watching these two lowlifes, Paul Welday and Andrew Raczkowski, duke it out. It’s like Alien v. Predator or watching the Iran-Iraq War: I wish it would never end, and that both sides would lose.  And if I lived in the district, no matter the outcome of tomorrow’s Republican primary, I’d have to vote for the honest liberal (and anti-jihad/pro-Israel) Democrat Congressman against either choice. You basically have a choice between two pan-Muslim crooks on the Republican side. So sad. Even if you don’t live in Michigan, this race is important, because either way, we all lose. I have known both Republican candidates for decades, and Hitler would have to be running against them for either to ever get my vote.

One of Israel’s biggest failures is that it never deported “Palestinians” from Israel.  Virtually every Arab Muslim nation deported its Jews, beginning from the time Israel became a state in 1948 and in the years thereafter.  They lost their homes, in most cases their belongings, and all claims to any property in those countries.  About a million Jews were expelled from these nations, including Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, etc.  But the Israelis–ever worried about international public opinion–did nothing, as Arab Muslims from Africa, Jordan, Kuwait, and elsewhere came to Israel seeking paid jobs, and calling themselves, “Palestinians.”  And despite that concern, the world hated Israel anyway and looked the other way on the Jewish deportations and expulsions.

Now, though Israel continues to refuse to deport any of these Muslim immigrants, the country is doing something that should be a hint to the U.S. about what we need to do to those claiming birthright citizenship under a Constitutional amendment aimed solely at legitimizing Black slaves and their children as Americans.  I applaud what Israel is doing, as U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Jon Kyl are just giving it lip service.  However, there is a danger that as these people are deported, more Palestinian Muslims will take their place in the labor force.

The migrant workers in Israel are much like many of those in the U.S.  They do a lot of agricultural and construction labor, the work an Obama/Bush-like government would say is “the work some Americans [or, in this case, Israelis] won’t do.”  But, in fact, just like in America, Israelis could and would do it, if the wages were right.  And part of the Israeli “chalutz” (pioneer) movement of Zionism was to do the work yourself with your own hands, as was often done on Israeli kibbutzim (collective agricultural settlements).

Israel on Sunday approved a compromise ministerial plan to deport 400 children of foreign workers while allowing another 800 to remain in the Jewish state, the prime minister’s office said.

It’s rare that a movie I thought I’d absolutely hate isn’t bad at all.  That’s the case with the biggest box office release this weekend:

*  “Dinner For Schmucks“:  When I first received the trailer from the studio promoting “Dinner For Schmucks,” I predicted it would be awful, and I criticized the title.  I stand by the second part, as the proper title should be, “Dinner For Schlemiels.”  The New York Times quoted me on that point and backed me up.

But now that I’ve seen Dinner, I have to eat crow a little bit.  I found the movie absolutely hilarious.  Yes, it’s raunchy and lewd.  And no way should this movie have the PG-13 the ratings board gave it–do not allow your kids to see it.  But it’s really not a bad movie.  Some parts are stupid, some slow and ridiculous, some way too vulgar–this ain’t for prudes.  But overall, I liked the message at the end, and I laughed along the way to get there.  I also looooooved the way it made fun of pretentious, New Age “modern art” and the “artist” phonies who make it.

The problem with the mainstream media isn’t just that they lie, are biased, and skew their “reporting” in a way tailor-made to favor their liberal point of view.  It’s that they do the same in favor of Islam, always looking for ways to soften the violent, hateful, terrorist-filled religion with cuddly, human interest pap.

Take today’s USA Today Life/Travel section.  The newspaper has a new feature in which readers are supposed to send cell phone photos to post in their gallery.  That’s dumb in and of itself because, hey, do I really need to see your cell phone pics of Uncle Bob traversing the Great Wall of China or riding some stupid camel he paid terrorism supporters in Abu Dhabi to ride? But USA Today says it will “spotlight the most inspiring and intriguing examples.”  Inspiring and intriguing, huh?  Look at the photo the paper posted today, below.

Please, pray tell, what is inspiring and intriguing about two Turkish Muslima hags using an iPhone?  It’s not interesting in the least. Is this supposed to tell us, hey, they’re not such extremists or supporters of terrorism, like a flotilla ship full of weapons ready to stab Israeli soldiers?  Yup, that’s the message.  No, they’re just people who use iPhones and technology . . . just like us.  After all, Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists never ever use technology or the latest in cool gadgets and cellphones, right?  Uh-huh.  Tell it to all the dead U.S. soldiers who’ve been murdered by IEDs made out of cell phones.  Tell it to As-Sahab, Al-Qaeda’s high-tech television network.  I mean, really, have these people at USA Today never seen a single story on how Muslims use the latest in cellphone and internet technology to communicate and recruit terrorists, via YouTube, Facebook, and Yahoo?
