While, for months, you heard about the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, you probably haven’t heard much about the one in mid-Michigan, which happened in July.  What I find interesting–no, outrageous!–is that while Michigan has a near-15% unemployment rate, the jobs cleaning up the spill that sent 820,000 gallons into a Kalamazoo River tributary went to  . . . illegal aliens.

Sorry, but I just don’t buy that cleaning up oil spills is “the work that Americans won’t do.”  In fact, I know plenty of hungry, desperate, able-bodied Michigan men who would have loved a job like that.  But they weren’t hired by Phillip Hallmark and Hallmark Industrial.  Nope, that guy wanted work on the cheap.  And so did, apparently, Barack Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency, which oversaw the spill clean-up. It’s nauseating.  Some oversight. The people of Michigan are victimized once by the oil spill.  Then, they are victimized a second time when the clean-up jobs go to those who are here illegally and living off of the benefits and services funded by those who are here legally and break their backs, hoping to get jobs like these.  It’s ironic, as we approach Labor Day, that actually the major labor unions in America protect this kind of job predation by illegals, and it’s part of the death of those unions.

A group of 42 people believed to have taken part in the cleanup of the July oil spill in mid-Michigan were in federal custody in Houston on Thursday, accused of being in the U.S. illegally.

I’ve stopped asking whether political correctness can get any more ludicrous, because it seems to know no limits in the arena of the absurd.  Take the Nike promotional ad for West Virginia University’s new uniform.  Remember, this is Nike, one of the most politically correct companies, which constantly supplies free gear to CAIR after “offending” the group.

Apparently, you’re not allowed to depict a mountaintop-removal mine in a graphic showing a school’s new uniform, even if it’s to honor the state’s coal mining heritage and nearly 30 men killed in a coal mine explosion.  You see, it upsets environmental activists who oppose strip mining in Appalachia. And since Nike has the contract to supply WVU uniforms, it’s the “offending” party.

Dumb, Da-Dumb, Dumb, Dumb:

On Wednesday, Nike unveiled their Pro Combat uniforms for the 2010 college football season, a set of 10 alternate uniforms that will be worn by select teams at various times this season.

Months ago, I told you about “Machete,” the pro-illegal alien movie put out by Rupert Murdoch’s Twentieth Century Fox studio, starring Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, and Lindsay Lohan (as a glamorous drug addict who walks around naked–hey just like real life!).  The movie debuts in theaters today, and it is exactly what I warned you about in showing you the trailer:  a pro-amnesty, pro-illegal alien, pro-open borders piece of trash, which mocks those of us who want our borders secure.  It’s supposed to be a “Mex-ploitation”-style parody, but that’s really not what it is at all.  It’s propaganda dressed up as a cool, hip “parody.” In this movie, those of us who want the borders secured and immigration law enforced are bigots, racists, criminals, drug dealers, murderers, and have incestuous fantasies about sex with our children.

And don’t count on Murdoch employees Sean Vannity, Glenn Beck, Michelle Fraudkin and others–who make seven figures  (Fraudkin makes six figures) from Murdoch and pretends to be against open borders–to say a damned thing.  They know on which side their hypocrisy is buttered.  It’s the opposite of their usual motto, as in this case it’s “Dollah, No Hollah.”  (Fraudkin’s fill-in stooge mentioned the movie a while ago but wouldn’t dare mention the studio putting it out or who owns it.  Gee, I wonder why.) They’re silent on this, just as they were silent on their boss, Murdoch’s pimping for amnesty for illegal aliens.  Hypocrites and fakes.  Nothing more.

The movie, while it has scant few brief, funny moments, is mostly a crappy bore and a bloody, violent attack on sheriffs (like Joe Arpaio) and elected officials who campaign against amnesty for illegal aliens and want a fence and more border guards on our Southern border.  It paints the Minutemen (in this movie, headed by a racist murderer played by Don Johnson) and other border watch groups as bigoted evil murderers of illegal aliens for sport.  And it’s also an attack on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, with Jessica Alba playing a lawless Hispanic ICE agent, who abuses power, harasses fellow Hispanics, and eventually is won over by the illegal alien crowed, shouting to a gathering of illegal aliens, “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us!”  Remember, Alba is the bimbo who got away with vandalizing a billboard and whined to the press that her uncle got sent to Iraq when he only enlisted in the U.S. military to get a free trip to Italy. We didn’t cross the airheads, the airheads crossed us.

There’s been a lot of hype about the USA National Basketball Team playing Iran in the World Basketball Championship.  Tuesday, Team USA beat Iran, but with the PC pandering of “our” team, it’s as if we lost. Sadly, Team USA Coach Mike Krzyzewski and players were all too dhimmi-esque regarding Iran.  Barf.  Then, the cheerleaders had to wear long pants to respect Islam and Iran.  Double barf.

Muslims are claiming that there are “increased attacks” on Muslims with all of the hub-bub against the two-blocks-from-Ground-Zero mosque.  And here’s an example of the “outrageous, extremist” behavior of Americans against the Muslim folk (and, of course, the pan-Muslim Detroit Newsistan ate it up):

When I was a teen, none of the girls I knew (including myself) was this crazy and unhinged, especially over something sooooo stupid.  So, I have a theory.  Along with the theories that anti-biotics in animals, etc. are bringing puberty to American girls at earlier ages than ever, I think those chemicals are stunting their emotional growth and maturity and other functions of the brain.  It’s got to be.  Watch this whole video–especially the girl at the end–and I think you’ll agree.  Pathetic.  But, hey, at least it’s about some wholesome guys, rather than trash.  Thank Heaven for small favors.

There’s something perverse about far-left multi-millionaire George Clooney playing something called, “The American,” in the movie of that title, in theaters, today.  The guy has little to do with most Americans, little in common with them.  And the same goes for his character, the promiscuous professional hitman who is the hero in this movie, who seems more arrogantly European than anything.  I like a good hitman murder thriller.  This ain’t it.

When we first see the smug Clooney in this very slow, very boring movie, he’s on a bed with one of the several sexy, naked brunettes who populate the film.  They look like Bond girls, but I’ve never seen such a boring movie about crime, murder, and hitmen.  So beautiful and stylish, but while it’s high on style, it’s near empty on substance.  And it’s sooo predictable, it’s like every ’60s and ’70s movie which might have been clever then, but now seems like, “huh, is that all there is?”  Been there, seen that a million times.  It seems like the movie’s only purpose is to show us lots of Euro-trashettes’ naked butts and breasts . . . and bash Catholic priests, because–ya know–there isn’t enough of that going on and we wouldn’t dare bash the real villains in Europe (Islamic imams) ‘cuz that wouldn’t be decent.

Oh, and also it’s a chance for George Clooney to play a smug, arrogant, smarter-than-everyone, self-centered, aging pretty boy who hates commitment.  In other words,  George Clooney gets to play a challenging role:  George Clooney.

When the Drug Enforcement Administration recently advertised for several Ebonics-fluent employees, I wasn’t as offended as many others on the right.  It’s a sad fact that many drug dealers can’t and don’t speak the Queen’s English.  They are lowlifes, and they are fluent in the language of lowlife-ism. And if you want to infiltrate and stop lowlifes, you must speak and understand their “language,” too. You gotta speak “thug” to crush thugs. That’s why we also need so many Arabic translators.

When news of the Ebonics recruitment broke, I’d just gotten through watching the DVD set of HBO’s “The Wire,” about Baltimore police going up against inner city drug rings (at the suggestion of our friend, the JIDF).  The cops are constantly listening to dealers on wiretaps (thus, the show’s title), and even the most streetwise Black cops don’t understand all the lingo, needing a woman to translate for them. The survival and flourishing of Ebonics is a sad statement about the failure and degradation of Black culture in urban America. The “language” is tolerated and elevated in the hip-hop world, and, thus, it succeeds.

Frankly, though, I have the perfect White chick candidate for DEA Chief Ebonics Officer:

When I was a kid in the ’70s and ‘8os, and my late father used to take me to pro-Israel events, he had this friend who would always show up.  The friend, very good on Mid-East issues, was lost on every other political topic.  He always wore a pin that said “68 Cents,” or some other such number.  If you asked him what the pin meant, he’d tell you he’s a member of the National Organization for Women (NOW), and that this was the number that women in the workforce made for every dollar men earned.  My dad and I would privately laugh to ourselves, not only because wearing the pin was absurd and wimpy, but because we knew this was baloney.  In fact, for the last several decades, women who didn’t have children and stayed in the workforce for the same amount of time as men, earned similar wages for similar jobs.

Now, though, my Dad’s friend–who I believe is still alive–needs to wear a pin that reads “8% more.”  That’s because new figures show discrimination against men in the workforce, with single women earning 8% more than their male peers in metropolitan areas around the U.S.  That was the case for figures in 2008, and I’d bet that 2009 figures are even more lopsided.  Sounds like discrimination to me.  Men don’t leave the workforce to have kids (at least men who don’t like going to Liza Minelli concerts or wearing the skirt in the family).  So, there is no excuse to account for the increase, other than vagina-based affirmative action.

It’s clearly anti-male discrimination and sexism. And it was predictable since, as I’ve repeatedly noted on this site, colleges and grad school student bodies are now overwhelmingly female. And, as I also reported on this site, men are more likely to be affected by the recession, since they are in industries and professions in which job loss is far greater in this bad economy. And then there’s the fact that women get the majority of spots in hiring and promotions in math, science, and engineering in academia.  That’s not even mentioning that American men are more likely to get serious illnesses and to be without healthcare coverage.  The escalating disparity between women’s and men’s salaries in favor of the women is the logical end-result from these factors.

So, where are NOW and all the employment discrimination trial lawyers and their shrill cries?  Nowhere to be found.  Ditto for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which still presses charges for mostly female complainants in alleged gender-based discrimination cases.  But here are the facts:

The earning power of young single women has surpassed that of their male peers in metropolitan areas around the U.S., a shift that is being driven by the growing ranks of women who attend college and move on to high-earning jobs.

Remember when I told you about the Catholic church’s effort to aid Islam’s spread in Rome and the rest of Italy?  Well, there are other similar dumbass dhimmis for Islam that disgust me even more:  a group of Italian women who’ve whored themselves out for Muammar Qaddafi and his Islamic conversion efforts. Yes, it’s literally whoring because the women get paid for this, between $100 and $200. Gee, I wonder what the going rate is on Detroit’s Eight Mile and whether prices for oral sex are competitive with the Italo-whores’ prices for KJs (Koran Jobs)?

I always talk about the dumb White women in the United States (yes, there are dumb Black women, too, who do this) who marry–and usually convert to Islam for–some Muslim man seeking a green card or a stupid baby machine.  But apparently, Italy has its fair share, and they’re converting to Islam for a man . . . a very ugly man named Muammar Qaddafi. Barf–it’s like a bad porn movie title, “Hot Cannoli Crescent Action,” and, sadly, Italian leader Silvio Berlusconi is the pimp.

Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi, who holds increasing sway in the Italian economy . . . held a series of private meetings on Sunday and Monday with some 800 Italian women and a small group of young men organized by a hostess agency and paid for by the Libyan government.

Some women who took part in a meeting Sunday told reporters the Libyan leader lectured them on Islam, and then presided over a ceremony in which, they said, a handful of women converted to Islam. The attendees, who were paid to attend the meeting, left carrying bound copies of the Quran that they said were gifts from Col. Gadhafi.
