This week, we learned of the death of Dick Winters, the leader of the “Band of Brothers,” the World War II paratroopers who were made famous in Stephen Ambrose’s “Band of Brothers” and the HBO series of the same name.  Winters was a patriot and an American hero, whose contribution we must never forget.

Sadly, as I’ve noted before, with so many veterans of World War II dying, future generations will quickly forget.  As we all know, the attitude is:  if Kim Kardashian or Lady Gaga or some other future and even more dumbed-down version of Americana isn’t involved, who knows and who cares?  I’d bet that the majority of Americans couldn’t even accurately tell you who the Band of Brothers were–what they did and why they were so important.

But Winters and his men were very important because, on June 6, 1944, they parachuted, led by Winters, into Normandy’s Ste. Marie-du-Mont, right behind the German lines.  After their landing, they cleared the inland routes, which enabled American infantry and armor to to land on Utah Beach.  It was a brilliant, and fortunately, successful strategy.

The drop was chaotic, and Mr. Winters lost his weapons and was at first isolated from his men. After reconnoitering amid an already-roaring battle, he managed to gather up a handful of men and found a gun. He then led his men in an assault on German trenches that ended with the destruction of four 105-mm howitzers and a 50-man platoon defending them.

I just returned from Federal Court in downtown Detroit, where CAIR Action Network was handed defeat in their first salvo against me in their lawsuit.  Headlines are now popping up that say CAIR Action Network won a partial victory.  That’s totally false.  The HAMAS fundraising folks at CAIR Action Network lost today.  Completely.

In fact, today was a total victory for me and the forces of free speech and the First Amendment against Islamic extremism.  The CAIR Action Network folks sought a temporary restraining order and injunction against me.  And they LOST.  They got nothing, nada.  It was a total victory for me, a total loss for them, thanks to my terrific attorney, Andrew Kochanowski, Director of Commercial Litigation for Sommers Schwartz, P.C. I recommend Andy highly. (Also very helpful and representing me in the interim was reader and patent and trademark attorney Jonathan Grant of Grant Patent Services.  He knows his stuff on trademark and patent law.)

Upon the advice of my attorney, the name of CAIR-Michigan is now an acronym for Council on American-Israel Relations.  But that is something we did on our own.  The CAIR Action Network got nothing today.  They won nothing.  No restraining order, no injunction, nada, zero, bupkus.  They lost.  CAIR Action Netwk was licking its chops and had scheduled a press conference for after the hearing, but they were left to wash egg off their faces.  Again, they lost. For now.

Also, today, the courtroom was packed with extremist Muslims, including almost every Hezbollah- and HAMAS-supporting imam in town.  I noted that Hezbollah agent and former employee of Ayatollah Khomeini, Imam Mohammed Ali Elahi, was there.  Unfortunately, Imam Elahi doesn’t understand that we have anti-stalking laws in the United States and you cannot harass women at will, just because you are an imam who works on behalf of the Ayatollahs.  Elahi repeatedly approached me, yelling threats, along with his usual nonsense, trying to intimidate and scare me.  Even the judge, Judge Irvin Cohn, had to demand that he be quiet and not yell in his courtroom.  I asked Elahi repeatedly to stay away from me, but he didn’t listen.  I am considering taking the appropriate legal action to restrain him.

A representative of the Hezbollah-funded Arab American News (owned by known Hezbollah agent Osama Siblani) tried to interview me.  I told her I don’t grant interviews with anti-Semitic, Hezbollah newspapers.  Also there was Mustapha “Steve” Elturk, an extremist Sunni Muslim from Lebanon, whose mosque is tied to Pakistanis associated with Islamic terrorism. And, finally, showing up in court was Haaris Ahmad, a member of the local CAIR Action Network board, who called up my Detroit radio show and defended convicted Islamic terrorist Sami Al-Arian’s plans of HAMAS terrorist attacks on a bus of tourists as “free speech.”

I also noted that CAIR Action Network attorney Lena Masri was wearing the exact same sloppy clothes (and bad, very obvious nose job) in court today that she wore on Friday.  I guess she cannot bring herself to wear a suit and dress properly for court.  You’d think that with the millions of dollars her father, plastic surgeon Haitham Masri, apparently transferred to her and her mother to avoid a multi-million dollar judgment against him, she might be able to wear something different.  Creditors of her father, Dr. Masri, allege–as I have on this site–that his divorce is phony and that he fraudulently conveyed property to his wife and kids, including Lena Masri, to avoid judgments against him.  I attended a creditors exam of Dr. Masri at Federal Bankruptcy Court in Detroit, this summer, and after lying under oath, he was forced to identify two expensive cars–a Porsche 911 and a Cadillac Escalade–which he drives and which he claims are in the name of Ms. Masri. He is probably the one who did her awful, obvious nose job, too.

In any event, the competence of Ms. Masri as an attorney apparently isn’t too high, given that she let her organization fail to file any of the necessary corporate documents for the entire time she worked for the organization and then willingly abandoned the name.  She also never did any due diligence and allowed her organization to fraudulently hold itself out as a legal corporation for the entire time.  If she were my attorney and did those things, I’d sue her for malpractice and grieve her to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission (which anyone can do–you don’t need to be CAIR Action Network).  She doesn’t know what she’s doing.

You’ll recall my experience with Dr. Masri, when he failed in a lawsuit to silence the First Amendment rights of my client, an indigent Jewish man.  That’s what the CAIR Action Network folks are doing now.

The most notable thing about Saturday’s Safeway massacre, aside from the lives tragically lost, is the plethora of hypocrites and blame-gamer attention whores who’ve predictably crawled out from under their rocks.

As I noted Saturday evening, ABC News and the other mainstream media outlets wasted no time blaming Saturday’s Safeway massacre by Jared Lee Loughner on supporters of Arizona’s immigration law and secure borders.  And you’ve seen the rest of the left-wing blame gamers’ coterie of conservative targets in assigning guilt for the work of a lone nut, left-wing gunman, an MSNBC fan.

The worst of the cast of blame-gaming attention whores in this whole saga is Pima County Sheriff Clarence “the Doompa” Dupnik.  If there was ever a man with an apt surname, it’s that clown.  Talk about a super-duper duper with his “climate of hate” baloney.  I guess this guy never heard of the First Amendment . . . or of the fact that Phoenix is the kidnapping capital of the U.S. because of the illegal alien invasion of Arizona.  Please belately add “climate of hate” to the list of banned words and phrases put out in the last weeks of 2010.  When liberals say “climate of hate,” what they really mean is “Free speech for me, but not for you.”

Still, barely mentioned in this whole media frenzy is the reason why murdered Federal Judge John M. Roll was at the fateful and fatal supermarket meeting with Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.  It’s a reason that’s apparently lost on blind, deaf, and dumb media whore Sheriff Dupnik:  the illegal alien problem in Arizona that was clogging Judge Roll’s courts.  But, hey, saying so must make me–and Judge Roll!–“hatemongers” purveying the “climate of hate.”

Judge Roll, 63 years old, attended the event Saturday in Tucson to thank Rep. Gabrielle Giffords for signing a letter to Judge Alex Kozinski, the chief judge of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, according to Michael Daly Hawkins, a judge on the court.

The letter was intended to help persuade the court to declare his federal district a judicial emergency due to the high number of immigration cases that were being heard there. Such a declaration would trigger measures such as allowing judges to delay a trial because of strained resources.

**** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE ****

Tonight, after I finished the Jewish Sabbath, I learned the news of the shooting of Democrat Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, a federal judge, and several others.  Say a prayer for Congresswoman Giffords (who is fighting for her life) and her family and for the families of federal Judge John M. Roll and the five others who were tragically murdered.

Sickening: ABC News Blames Rep. Giffords Shooting on Arizona Immigration Law

Since Giffords is an Arizona Congresswoman who opposed Arizona’s law to enforce immigration laws and was the point man for Barack Obama’s plan to send more soldiers to the border, I wondered how long it would take for the liberal mainstream media to blame this massacre by a total nut on those of us who stand for secure borders and NOT for any form of violence like what occurred today.  Well, it didn’t take long.

In fact, ABC News–in its very first report on the air–suggested that this was somehow related to the fact that Arizona has a “heated political climate surrounding its immigration law.”  The network newscast then went into the fact that Giffords opposed the law and that she was Barack Obama’s opposition point man.  And the anchor, David Muir, and reporters repeatedly stressed this point.

As I always note on this site, January and August are typically Hollywood’s movie cemeteries, where they send bad flicks (meaning, even THEY realize the movies are crap) to die a quick, painless death.  And, in general, this weekend is Exhibit A of Movie “Pet Sematary.” Three pointless movies.

*  “Country Strong“:  More like, “Country Predictable Melodrama.”  Nothing “strong” at all about this flick, except the singing.

I’m not sure what the point of this movie is, other than to show us that Gwyneth “I Raise Money for Palestinian Terrorists” Paltrow has a terrif singing voice.  And some people already knew that from the popular gay choir TV show, “Glee,” on which she appeared and sang.  All of the actors in this movie who sing, from Paltrow to Leighton Meester, to Garrett Hedlund, have phenomenal singing voices.  Yes, they all did their own singing of the bubble gum pop version that today’s successful country music has become.  Of them all, Hedlund, who recently starred in the “Tron” reboot (read my review), has the best singing chops.  And was the most interesting (and hot) character.

It never ends.  Whether it’s Christmas, or just plain Friday, Islamic nations target their Christians with harassment and persecution of continuously escalating degrees.

Don’t forget that Iran is Ground Zero of how a Muslim nation–in this case a Shi’ite Muslim nation–treats Christians:

Iranian authorities have arrested dozens of Christians in the two weeks since Christmas, the latest challenge to the Mideast’s small but vibrant Christian communities.

I would hardly call persecution a characteristic of vibrance. The Mid-East’s Christian communities are demoralized and dwindling rapidly. Not vibrant.

The arrests around the country appear focused on individuals who have converted from Islam or sought to convert others from Islam—actions considered sins under Islamic law and punishable by death in Iran.

Tehran’s governor, Morteza Tamadon, confirmed there have been detentions and said more arrests were on the way, state media reported.

As you may have heard, the HAMAS front group and unindicted terrorism co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, the CAIR Action Network, is suing me over my registration–on behalf of a client–of the name CAIR-Michigan, Inc., CAIR-Michigan, Inc.,  and several assumed names.   I won’t say much more for legal reasons.

However, CAIR-Michigan has not been a registered entity for several years in Michigan, until I, at the request of a client, registered it in April of 2010.  The name was abandoned, despite several notices from the State of Michigan.  Since that time, the people who once used the name, CAIR-Michigan, actively abandoned the name by refusing to file the required annual corporate reports and by filing a name change with the State of Michigan.  At that time, they also filed at least five years of apparently phony annual reports, several of them dated and signed by Dawud Walid a/k/a Delano Anthony Willis, Jr., in August 2010, even though he was not an official for the non-existent organization for most of the dates for which the reports had been filed. In fact, when I registered the name, CAIR-Michigan, Inc., the people fraudulently using that name had not filed an annual report since 2001, nine years earlier.

These people might have some serious problems with the Michigan Attorney General,  which requires all non-profit organizations raising money in the State of Michigan to file as non-profits with the Michigan Attorney General’s office and certify as a corporation in good standing.  But for more than five years, there was no CAIR-Michigan, and it appears the group may have filed false information with that office and fraudulently raised money in the State of Michigan or may not have filed that information at all.

While I used this site to announce the formation of CAIR-Michigan, Inc., I’ve made clear that I was only reporting the news and that CAIR-Michigan, Inc. is a separate organization. As an attorney, my law office filed for the name on behalf of a client.

However, since the CAIR Action Network is suing me personally, my law firm, and this website, it is clear that this is all about–and ONLY about–silencing me and my First Amendment speech rights and harming my law practice, and I will have to fight this on my own behalf.  This is clearly a SLAPP–a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. If I were a referee or player in the NHL, NFL, or other American major league sport, I’d watch out for the Islamic speech police.  A Swedish hockey referee was suspended for posting a Mohammed cartoon on his private Facebook page (join me on Facebook here).    News That Matters, a Swedish Christian blog, has a translation of the newspaper story on this from Aftonbladet.  Here’s an excerpt:

Now he has been suspended and, according to sources, SÄPO [the security police] were contacted.

It’s sad that we had to find this out in January .  .  .  from a British newspaper, but Muslims in Minnesota succeeded in getting Santa removed from a Head Start program.  But, unfortunately, American newspapers and most mainstream media don’t think it’s important to show the Muslim intolerance for American  traditions.  Other than that, it was only covered on a local Minnesota TV station. It’s also ironic that the Head Start program in question is named for St. Peter.  I guess, perhaps, they should change that name ASAP, lest they offend Muslims.  Even the ACLU is on Santa’s side. (Last year, I told you about Santa visiting Muslim kids in Dearbornistan, but as I told you, that was just propaganda. The Muslim kids were there for free toys, subsidized by infidel taxpayers, not for “tolerance” of Christianity. This story below is the real deal.)

I’ve written a lot about KFC stores around the world going halal. The problem with a fast-food restaurant chain that typically served bacon going halal, is not just that non-Muslim customers who previously enjoyed bacon with their chicken sandwich can’t get it because of, um, “Islamic tolerance.”  It’s that the people who forced or enticed the restaurant to go halal have an arrogance and superiority complex that jibes just a little too much with their savage Third World ways.

A [DS: MUSLIM] worker at a KFC restaurant in Sydney has been suspended after he was filmed screaming vicious insults and threatening to attack a customer.

The violent outburst happened at a Halal-friendly [DS: there’s something entirely false about the word Halal used with the word “friendly”] KFC in Punchbowl on December 26, allegedly after a customer became angry after being refused bacon on their burger.
