Must Read U.S. Soldier’s Letter Starkly Details Nazi’s Actions Toward Jews, Others

By Debbie Schlussel

You and I have non-stop free entry to the world’s most interesting, constantly changing museum: Ebay. That’s how I use the site, as I enjoy looking through the old memorabilia of the past, which mark history in a way you don’t always see it in brick and mortar museums. And I recently saw this letter, listed by a seller who often sells the old letters of U.S. soldiers who served in the Civil War, World Wars I & II, Korea, and Vietnam. The letter, by U.S. Army Sgt. Charles Duvall to his wife back home, is chilling in its details of what he saw when they liberated a Nazi concentration camp, the inmates of which were Jews.

swastika.jpg

An original World War Two letter including the envelope written by Sergeant Charles Duvall. The letter is dated May 6, 1945 Europe and relates to the Holocaust. In the letter he mentions a concentration camp which had mostly Jews. I currently have other letters written by this individual listed. The letter reads [DS: the spelling and grammar mistakes are those of the writer and are presented as is]:

My Darling

Hi Darling, golly it has been too or three days since I have written……………….Darling have seen so much suffering the past couple of days. It is sights that shall always stay with me it is the most pittyful sight anyone could ever see. we came into a town that had a concentration camp most of them were Jews. They came swarming out of that camp as soon as the American army took it over, they swarmed past our house all night, they raded everything we had looking for something to eat. They were all skin and bones just a mass of bones with a piece of yellow skin stretched over them. Their eyes all sunk back into their heads sores all over them all diseased up dirty and unshaven lice on them. They would mob the American soldiers asking for something to eat. We gave them all we had but there was thousands of them. They wanted cigarettes. They would leave the camp not knowing where they were going some of them were not able to start lots of them were so weak their buddies would help them and after a while one of them would pass out, there he would be left to die. In the camp there was starving babies feeding from their Mothers breast the mother would be lying on the ground dying. They were so hungry they would dig the potatoes that had been planted out of the ground with their bare hands. We would throw some of them a can of C ration one would get it and they would all start fighting for it just like a bunch of beasts. Many of them had blood streaks on them where they had been beaten. It was a sorry mess I had read and heard so much about what the Germans have done had thought it was propaganda but now I know it is true, I guess you have to really see that to believe it. Thank God for a place like America. Golly Darling need a shave bad have not had one for a week no bath for more than too weeks dirty clothes it will be swell if we ever stop and get a chance to clean up and rest a couple of days……………..Chas Read the rest of this entry »

Larry Hagman, Korean War Vet, J.R. Ewing & Jeannie’s Guy (& a Big Liberal), RIP

By Debbie Schlussel

Last night, I learned of the death, Friday, of actor Larry Hagman of “Dallas” and “I Dream of Jeannie” fame. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War, performing for troops in Europe during the conflict. And I always liked him because the roles he played were stark examples of the politically incorrect and the patriotic, something that now seems of a bygone, better era. Of note, he was married to the same woman (Maj Axelsson who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2008) for 58 years, until his death. But he was also a far-leftist, too (more on that, later).

Although I never got to watch Dallas when it was running on prime time–it was on Friday Nights, which is the Jewish Sabbath, and I never watched once it was in re-runs, I used to watch re-runs of “I Dream of Jeannie,” as a kid when I came home from school. I loved to watch the machinations of astronaut Major Tony Nelson who finds a genie (Barbara Eden) in a bottle, who serves him after he releases her. Today, a show like that would never be made because it would be seen by feminists all over the place as “sexist.” A woman in what was almost a bikini serving a bachelor and calling him, “Master”? Wouldn’t happen anymore on TV. Oh, and it was kind of a patriotic show, too. And we can’t have that–an astronaut and officer in the U.S. Armed Forces looking good. Today, we’d see a show about a dysfunctional one who beats the genie senseless, or something like that. Or we’d see a shirtless male genie serving a beast like Rosie O’Donnell or HOprah. It’s the only kind of sexism that gets the Sandra Fluke/Gloria Allred/Khawam-Kelley/Real Housewives/Beastesses of The View necessary seal of approval, these days. (And then there is always the Petraeus/Allen “I Dream of Paula/Jill” story.)

Even though I couldn’t watch Dallas, you couldn’t miss all of the magazine covers and talk all over America about “who shot J.R.” Ewing, the Texas oil titan played by Hagman. In those days before America was truly segmented into cable and the internet, a much larger chunk of America was glued to nighttime soaps, and the buzz about the identity of the shooter of J.R. Ewing was everywhere. You couldn’t miss it. And that’s because he was a larger than life villain. And Dallas was a larger than life show, the likes of which you rarely see anymore, where good (Patrick Duffy as J.R.’s brother, Bobby Ewing) and evil (Hagman’s J.R.) were black and white and not blurred the way it is today. FUNNY (& Sad) VIDEO: It’s Black Friday, Charlie Brown

By Debbie Schlussel

Okay, so it’s not as much funny as it is accurate and sadly true commentary on how so many–primarily the lumpenproletariat–Americans act on Black Friday or as I like to call it, “Diverse Complexion Friday” or “Obama Electorate Friday,” spurred on by stores who have limited quantity doorbusters, etc.

Do you do Black Friday (or, these days, also Black or Grey Thursday)? Why or why not? If so, what was the best deal you got? I’ve done Black Friday in the past, but it was never worth it. Not even close. It used to be fun . . . in the days when stores like Wal-Mart and Best Buy and Kmart had plenty of doorbuster items to go around and you could just show up when they opened, knowing you’d get yours. Now it’s mayhem and camping out all night and fighting. Craziness. I don’t get the people who do this.

And as I’ve written before, it’s just another sign of why our jobs and manufacturing are gone from America. We want cheap stuff and don’t want to make it. We’ve become a consumer society to our doom. As I’ve said before, Black Friday killed America. Read the rest of this entry »

Thanksgiving 2012: Thankful For What We Have, What We Are . . . And What We ARE NOT

By Debbie Schlussel

Happy Thanksgiving, America!

While a moronic electorate, just two weeks ago, took us further and more irreparably away from the America we should be into an America lost forever, I’m thankful that we are still free. I’m thankful that we still have an American Thanksgiving that looks like this . . .

normanrockwellthanskgiving.jpg

And NOT like this–a Muslim Brotherhood/HAMAS “Thanksgiving” . . . yet. (I posted something similar, last year, but had artist David Lunde fix it up a little to make it more accurate.)

Today–and every day–not only am I thankful for my freedom and the ability to say and do as I please on this site without government intervention, but I’m also tremendously thankful for you, my dear readers and friends, for your readership (which keeps growing each year), for your insightful and observant comments, for your news tips, and for your generous support–both morally and financially. All of that helps keep this site and my work going. I’m thankful for not just my freedom and health, but yours as well. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do this. And without our brave men protecting America and serving here and overseas, I wouldn’t be able to do this. Without them, we wouldn’t have a First and Second Amendment to speak of. Thanksgiving Box Office: Red Dawn, Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi, The Flat, Rise of the Guardians

By Debbie Schlussel

No MARXES for any of the new movies at theaters today for Thanksgiving. All of them were decent, some of them good.

* “Red Dawn“: While this was better than I expected, it’s still somewhat schlocky and isn’t nearly as good as the original 1984 “Red Dawn”, which was much panned by liberal mainstream media movie critics but was actually a very good movie that stands the test of time, even if the Soviet Union didn’t. As you may know, this was filmed in Michigan and heavily subsidized by the Michigan Film Tax Credit. (A former trainer from my gym, Michael Knight, plays a Russian military figure.) It also sat on the shelves for about two years and wasn’t even going to be released except on video. But that changed, when its stars, particularly Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, became big stars. So, now, it’s a Thanksgiving movie, even though it doesn’t deserve that slot. And, as you’ve probably heard, this originally featured the Chinese invading America, but for international ticket sales reasons was changed to North Koreans (the movie used Detroit-based Asians of all varieties, many of whom look Chinese to me, not Korean). Three Turkeys Involved in White House Thanksgiving Pardon

By Debbie Schlussel

Barack Obama pardoned two turkeys, instead of the usual one, in this year’s pre-Thanksgiving White House ceremony. Which means that three turkeys were involved in the White House pardoning ceremony, one of them human. (Back in the Clinton days, I used to have a holiday card I made with a pic of Bill Clinton with the pardoned turkey that said, “Two Turkeys Join Me in Wishing You Happy Holidays.”) Hmmm . . . two turkeys for Barack, two Khawam twin turkeys for David Petraeus and Gen. John Allen. I think we see a pattern here.

Add your caption for the pic (in the comments section) . . .

Cobbler and Gobbler are the turkeys the Turkey-in-Chief pardoned now. Imagine which human turkeys he’ll pardon out of jail in four years (or less). Read the rest of this entry »

HAMAS “Ceasefire” is BS; Does This Bus Bombing Look Like a “Partnership for Peace” to You?

By Debbie Schlussel

As I predicted–and as we keep seeing over and over each time Israel very briefly responds to HAMAS missiles and other terrorist attacks–there’s a meaningless ceasefire allowing HAMAS to reload. And in the 24 hours that Israel waited for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton to arrive and take credit for a worthless piece of paper, there was an Islamic terrorist bus-bombing in Tel Aviv and there were more terrorist attacks. But, hey, the President-in-Waiting of the U.S. needs a halal baloney stage to make her look good. And there will be more bus bombings, just as there have been in the years since Israel gave away Gaza to terrorists to use as a base of attack several years ago. And there will be more missile attacks, as there have been every single day since HAMAS was gifted Gaza. Does this look like a ceasefire or “partner for peace” to you? And where are the questions by FOX News and CNN and MSNBC about the “disproportionate response” of bus bombing Jews by HAMAS?

What happens when the next missile falls–as is already happening? What are the penalties under the ceasefire? None. Israel should have flattened Gaza. The Israeli soldier who was murdered died for nothing. And most of these soldiers who do the fighting and die are the religious ones, viewed with disdain and as disposable by the Tel Aviv crowd. In any event, Binyamin Netanyahu got a great 8-day campaign commercial for the coming election in Israel in January. But what did he do for Israel, other than embolden HAMAS and give the terrorist group yet more bragging rights?

The ceasefire is worth as much as a Palestinian Alarm Clock: Read the rest of this entry »

Me on Pat Campbell Radio Show on HAMAS v. Israel – Listen to the Podcast

By Debbie Schlussel

Check out my appearance from early yesterday morning on radio talk show host Pat Campbell’s show on KFAQ-AM 1170 in Tulsa, in which we discussed the HAMAS war on Israel. I was a little less animated than normal because I was up late the night before and called early in the morning to do this (I think I was half asleep).

Listen to the podcast.

Charlie Daniels Said What About HAMAS v. Israel? Response Needed

By Debbie Schlussel

I normally don’t put much credence into what celebrities say about political issues, other than to call them out. But Charlie Daniels’ excellent piece about Israel and what it faces from HAMAS and its other “neighbors” is so good, I want it to be seen by everyone I can reach. And I need you to respond by posting a comment on his site to thank him, since there is no contact info for him on the site (that I can find). I can just hear his down-home, Southern-accented voice–the same voice in “Devil Went Down to Georgia”–saying these words. It is rare that a celeb actually gets it. Here are some excerpts of what he posted from his home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, America’s heartland:

This tiny nation beset from within by extremely different political persuasions and from without by rocket attacks, suicide bombers and armies of Islamic zealots is criticized and ostracized by the nations of the world and the target of millenniums-old vendettas and a dishonest, hostile world media stands proudly fertile, progressive and strong, as an example of what could be accomplished by their neighbors if they could only put their hate and swords away and concentrate on the welfare of their state and it’s people. . . .

If you watch the networks in the U.S. or the BBC or CNN International around the world they will try to convince you that Israel is the instigator, on the offensive, firing missiles into populated areas and schools in the Gaza Strip. They’ll show you pictures of a bloody child and bombed out houses in an effort to convince you that Israel is the aggressor, even if some of the photos being passed off as Palestinian casualties are from recent Syrian internal violence. PHOTO of the Day: HAMAS Did What?

By Debbie Schlussel

*** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE ***

The photo below shows exactly why Israel will never be able to live peacefully with HAMAS. HAMAS terrorists on motorcycles drag a fellow Muslim Arab man’s body, parading it through the streets of Gaza City, and yelling that the man is a “collaborator with the Jews.” This is how they treat their own people. They accuse them, murder them, and drag and mutilate their bodies on parade in celebration. Though, it’s not necessarily in that order. We don’t know if this man is dead or being tortured to death via the dragging. These are savages. They will never act like humans, not even to their own people. You cannot deal with them like humans. Once the world finally understands and faces up to this fact, then we’ll have made some progress. Ironically, the photo is from–of all people–the Crescent News Network’s Anderson Cooper of CNN (who, himself, would be dragged via motorcycle by HAMAS for being gay). Thanks to my Twitter friend, Mike W., a pro-Israel Christian conservative and U.S. Army vet, who originally saw the man being dragged live on video and pointed out the photo (follow me on Twitter). Remember . . .

THIS. IS. ISLAM. (body dragged behind motorcycle on the right):

When they talk about “disproportionate response,” they deliberately ignore this savagery by HAMAS. Um, if that ain’t disproportionate response, I don’t know what is. But you’ll never hear the mainstream media call it that way. Read the rest of this entry »
