Now, that it’s the holiday season and a time of buying and giving Christmas and Chanukah gifts, a lot of people make the convenient choice of sending fruit baskets to their friends and professional associates. But if you take this route, DON’T send a basket from Edible Arrangements. If you do, you are funding HAMAS abroad and Muslim community organizing, such as the group IMAN, the Inner City Muslim Action Network, in the U.S.

Tariq Farid is the CEO of Edible Arrangements, which he started with his brother, Kamran Farid. Not only are they devout Pakistani Muslims, but they are major donors and fundraisers for American mosques, Islamic schools, and similar enterprises in Pakistan. Recent tax returns of their Farid Foundation, to which they and Edible Arrangements are major contributors, show that their foundation gives tens of thousands of dollars to extremist Islamic schools and mosques in America and to Islamic Relief, the HAMAS/Al-Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood “charity” which sends tens of millions of dollars to finance jihad around the world. An Islamic Relief fundraiser I attended undercover featured young Muslim Arab kids simulating beheadings of Americans, Brits, and Israelis as the evening’s “entertainment.” And as I told you, Islamic Relief’s chief official in Gaza was a HAMAS official with Bin Laden’s photo, swastikas, and a “G-d Bless Hitler” banner as his screensavers. As I also told you, Islamic Relief’s registered agent in the U.S. is Kazbek Soobzokov, the son of Nazi Waffen SS officer Tscherim Soobzokov and the lawyer for deported accused terrorist and Islamic cleric, Imam Wagdy Mohamed Ghoneim.

The Farids and their Farid Foundation are also major donors to IMAN, the Chicago-based group which organizes Muslims to impose their extremist values on America’s political process and in America’s inner cities. The other purpose of the group is to convert Blacks and other inner city residents to Islam and help those who’ve already converted remain Muslim.

IMAN is a project and donee of the pro-HAMAS/pro-Hezbollah Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) (which was involved in the Holy Land Foundation HAMAS fundraising), and it’s a project of Islamic Relief–the HAMAS/Al-Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood “charity” which finances jihad worldwide. IMAN is run and funded by White Sunni Muslims to harvest inner city Blacks to Islam, which is why IMAN also has many Black Muslims from the Nation of Islam among its ranks. IMAN has an operation called “Muslim Run,” which urges Muslims to only buy from Muslim-run businesses. IMAN was founded and is headed by Rami Nashashibi, a Palestinian Muslim extremist. And Iman hosts speakers like Dalia Mogahed, an extremist and agent of the Muslim Brotherhood with close ties to Barack Obama.

Which is worse to have in Congress–a corrupt, nutty son of Jesse Jackson . . . or a corrupt, criminal, child molesting, former employee of Jesse Jackson and current friend of Louis Farrakhan? Criminal convict and former Congressman Melvin Reynolds is back and has announced he’s running for the Chicago Congressional seat just vacated by Jesse Jackson, Jr. So, basically, it’s like “The Lord of the Flies”–replacing one disaster with another.

Reynolds was convicted and sentenced to three years in federal prison for statutory rape and he also committed and was convicted of bank fraud and corruption, but his sentence was commuted by Bill Clinton. And Reynolds has quite a “colorful” history. From my 2001 column, “How Democrats Treat Their Child Molesters”:

While he represented inner-city Chicago, Reynolds was a good friend of the Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan [who showed up at one of his criminal trials to support Reynolds]. . . .

Reynolds . . . helped himself to regular illegal sexual relations with a 16-year-old “campaign worker,” Beverly T. Heard. A tape of an explicit June 6, 1994, phone conversation between Heard and Reynolds was exhibit number TR-1 in People v. Melvin Reynolds, a trial that ended in Reynolds’ conviction. Why does Marco Rubio say he admires rappers who embrace and promote cop-killing, Jew-hatred, and gang-raping little sisters? And why are conservatives giving him a free pass on it?

I’ve always thought Marco Rubio was an oily, slippery guy and should probably be behind bars for using tens of thousands of dollars of Florida Republican Party dollars (via a credit card) for personal use. It’s called embezzlement and conversion, and he’ll never live it down, if and when he runs for President. But, now, he’s added to his sleaze profile with what he told GQ about his admiration for the “depth” of Eminem (who rapped about gang-raping his kid sister on her birthday and killing his wife and dumping her body–and killing his mother and police, too) and how he also respects the “transformative” Public Enemy, you know–the openly anti-Semitic group.

And that’s aside from the blatant racism of Public Enemy and the other rappers he loves, NWA (which stands for “N-ggaz Wit Attitudes”) and Tupac Shakur. Barf. In case you don’t remember, NWA’s claim to fame is its pro-cop killing rap song, “F–k Tha Police,” and the group is credited with creating “gangsta rap.” Many of its rap songs are openly racist against White people. Do Republicans really wanna win that badly that they will pick this moron Rubio in 2016? It was bad enough when Mitt Romney was ensconcing himself with “Fine Ho Drillin’ Early Mornin’ Stoned Pimp” Kid Rock (which didn’t help Romney win or get him any votes). Why do so-called “social conservatives” give this guy, Rubio, a pass on the same stuff they rightly criticize Obama for–hanging out with and promoting hip-hop filth? I’m the only conservative calling him out on this. The only one. It’s a sign of the decline not just of America, but of the Republican Party and so-called conservative movement along with it. Sadly, these things are “acceptable” now, including on the right. And if you call anyone out on it, you’re a nerd, a geek, not cool, anachronistic, “living in the ’50s,” and an “Alinskyite, pro-Obama mole.”

When I wrote that I didn’t shed a single tear for the Jew-hating, anti-Israel, pro-HAMAS “victims” of Anders Breivik’s Norwegian killing spree, I was attacked all over the place and lectured by the speech police that these were merely “innocent youths.” Well, now, we have more proof–in addition to their anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, and pro-HAMAS activities–that these “kids” weren’t worth a single iota of sympathy. Khalid Haji Ahmed, the brother of one of those killed by Breivik, is a top youth politician in Norway and has been hailed as the face of Norway’s future. Last week, he called Jews “F–ing Jew Whores,” and wished that Hitler murdered more than six million Jews in the Holocaust. He wrote “best of luck eight times over” to fellow Norwegian youth activists who wrote on Facebook that they wish Hitler killed more Jews.

But, now, he claims, “Just Kidding!” Riiiight. ‘Cuz that’s sooooo damned funny. Oh, and in case the name didn’t give it away, he’s Muslim and a Yemeni immigrant to Norway. Yes, sadly, that is the future of this disgusting Scandinavian country that will soon be a satellite state of Greater Arabia.

Aspiring Norwegian politician Khalid Haji Ahmed said he was only joking when he wished “best of luck eight times over” to activists who wrote on Facebook that they wished Adolf Hitler could kill more Jews.

Hmmm . . . Obama supporter – Check! Grew Up in the Muslim Mid-East – Check! Denies the Holocaust – Check! Compares Israel to Nazis – Check! Hates Jews and says they are a national security risk to Hungary – Check, Check, Check! And he’s a leading politician in Hungary. Welcome to Holocaust 2.0.

As I’ve noted on this site many times, Europe never became less anti-Semitic after the Holocaust. It merely had a hudna (Arabic for “ceasefire,” also means a “resting period” before the relaunch), just like HAMAS’ recent phony hudna. And, now, Marton Gyongyosi, who leads Jobbik, Hungary’s third strongest political party is demanding a list of Jews, claiming they are a national security risk. We’re reminded, yet again, why so many Hungarian Jews were murdered in the Holocaust and why the ones who survived didn’t return to Hungary.

News reports are trying to dismiss Gyongyosi as “far right,” but he is actually pretty mainstream in Hungary, and he got his anti-Semitic views from growing up in the Muslim Middle East, where his father was a diplomat. Gyongyosi was also a strong supporter of Barack Obama, according to Politics.Hu (“Hungary’s non-partisan international daily”), but lamented that Obama will not “escape the clutches of the Zionist lobby.” Gyongyosi is a Holocaust-denier with a record of comparing Israel and Jews to the Nazis.

This isn’t about left or right, neither of which has cornered the market on anti-Semitism. Plenty on the left in Europe are just as fervent in their Jew-hatred. Don’t forget how Lech Walesa, once Poland’s President and still a very revered Polish figure, constantly engaged in anti-Semitism and Jew-baiting to garner support and win elections. This stuff is endemic.

A Hungarian far-right politician urged the government to draw up lists of Jews who pose a “national security risk”, stirring outrage among Jewish leaders who saw echoes of fascist policies that led to the Holocaust.

Marton Gyongyosi, a leader of Hungary’s third-strongest political party Jobbik, said the list was necessary because of heightened tensions following the brief conflict in Gaza and should include members of parliament. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s truly heartbreaking that so many American citizens lost their homes and everything they worked so hard for as a result of Superstorm Sandy. But on top of that, there is the insult added to injury with news “report” sob stories about how illegal aliens are the “victims.” That includes FOX News, which has an amnesty agenda, appeals to illegal aliens through FOX News Latino, and has a headline, “Hurricane Sandy’s Forgotten Victims – Undocumented Immigrants.” Disgusting. My favorite part of a similar sob story from AP story is the fact that Mexican diplomats are going to shelters to advise illegal aliens from Mexico how to apply for American food stamps and other entitlements. Hey, I guess if Homeland Security tells ’em how to do it, why not the Mexican government, too?

I watch very little TV anymore, mostly because it’s a time waster and a bunch of garbage. More and more Americans are following suit as TV viewership (and ownership) is declining. In adulthood, I finally understood my father’s rightful attacks against TV when I was a kid and he stopped me from mindlessly, endlessly watching, limiting my TV viewing time. U.S. Department of Homeland Security

During a federal funding hiatus, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must be able to cease its government operations in an orderly fashion. Certain functions and activities that will be permitted to continue are “exempt” from work restrictions specified in the Anti-Deficiency Act (ADA). The ADA codifies the Constitutional requirement that “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by Law.” Federal officials are prohibited from entering into contracts, incurring obligations, or performing activities without having a current appropriation. The Act further restricts acceptance of voluntary services or personal services beyond authorized levels “except for emergencies involving the safety of human life or the protection of property.” As a result, only activities that qualify as exempt may continue to operate during a lapse in appropriations.

The Department of Homeland Security Contracting Contingency Plan is established in DHS Acquisition Alert 11-10, dated February 24, 2011. Heads of the Contracting Activity must work with their Component Heads to proactively survey and identify contracts that, in whole or in part, support activities that will continue to support exempt functions. In accordance with Section 124 of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-11, “Agency Operations in the Absence of Appropriations,” the Department has developed the procedures outlined in this document as its contingency plan. Included, and as also specified by the A-11 guidance, is the identification of the following information:

1. An estimate, to the nearest half-day, of the time necessary to accomplish an orderly closure.
2. The total number of DHS employees on-board before implementation of the plan.
3. The total number of employees expected to be exempt during the hiatus.

Upon notification from OMB and subsequent direction from the DHS Under Secretary for Management (USM), DHS Components must adhere to the guidelines as set forth in the following pages. This includes the preparation of employee notices of furlough, the processing of personnel and pay records in connection with furlough actions, and the release of non-exempt employees in accordance with applicable law and regulations of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

The Department uses the term “exempt” to describe functions and employees who may be required to continue to perform during a federal funding hiatus. Other agencies in the Federal Government use different terminologies, including “excepted.” To avoid confusion from using multiple terms, guidance in this document will use the single term of “exempt.”
Additionally, either an “emergency furlough” or a “federal funding hiatus” may be used to refer to a lapse in appropriations during which employees may be exempt.

Guidelines for exempt activities follow. Proposals to continue activities that do not fit in the guidelines should be directed immediately to the DHS Office of General Counsel (OGC).

Some functions are covered by fee revenues or by multi-year, no-year, or revolving funds, or advance appropriations, and if those accounts have sufficient carry-over balance, they would not be affected by an annual appropriation lapse. Revolving funds that operate almost entirely on offsetting collections from other federal entities may also be forced to close, unless sufficient retained earnings are available to forestall the closure.
