I already told you about Florida Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s expressed admiration for several racist rappers, including Tupac Shakur, the proud son of a Black Panther, and NWA, the group whose biggest hit was “F— Tha Police,” which glorifies cop-killing. Now, he’s at it again (in the video linked here), telling us that “I like them all” (talking about rappers), but that Tupac was the best of them because he “was someone that was trying to inform[ed] us about what was going on.” Riiiight. For the last week, many readers and friends have sent me the photo below of Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu hamming it up with bottled water in tribute to Rubio’s famous water break during his recent Republican response to the State of the Union address. Those who sent it told me the point was to show the support Rubio has for Netanyahu and Israel. Great.

But if Israel adopted the self-destructive, suicidal illegal alien amnesty plan that Rubio is pimping on America, Israel would cease to exist. And so I cannot like him merely because he likes Israel, while he is pimping the end of America as we know it. Both Rubio and Netanyahu would be best advised to heed the political button, below, from my button collection. The Hebrew portion is a Biblical phrase, “V’Shavu Banim Le’Gvulam,” which means, “And the sons shall return to their [own] borders.” (It’s from Jeremiah 31:15-17.) Indeed, the best prescription for peace is secure borders. In Israel. And in America, too!

Friday marked the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the aimless, bloated, dangerous Department of Homeland Security. On Friday, Barack Obama celebrated. And, today, Politico tells us about its DHS 10th anniversary breakfast event, starring three of the most incompetent people in the history of American national security: Janet Napolitano, Michael Chertoff a/k/a “Mr. Burns,” and Tom Ridge. But the creation of Homeland Security is a tragedy, not something to celebrate. In the wrong reaction to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Joe Lieberman, with the eager help of his pal John McCain and George W. Bush, created a multi-billion dollar boondoggle bureaucracy of an agency, and Homeland Security has been and remains an ever-growing disastrous monster. And, yet, the primary agency charged with the investigation and stopping of terrorism is not even in the Department of Homeland Security. It’s the FBI.

As I’ve repeatedly noted on this site, to create Homeland Security, the U.S. government dismantled and destroyed two agencies, one of which had an excellent track record, and the other of which did okay stuff, immigration, which is now being done horrendously by Homeland Security (or, rather, hardly being done at all). The U.S. Customs Service, which had a terrific Office of Investigations–the Customs agents who investigated HAMAS and Hezbollah terrorism money-laundering and stopped a good deal of it through Operation Greenquest–was dismantled. The Customs agents and their colleagues in the U.S. Secret Service who carried on Greenquest lost their authority to investigate and stop anything having to do with Islamic terrorism. Bush’s then-Secretary of Homeland Security signed a memorandum of understanding giving the FBI the primary investigative authority on all terrorism cases. And did the FBI pick up where Customs and Secret Service agents left off? Nope. Operation Greenquest was ended. The Customs raids on Muslim halal poultry farms and other money-laundering organizations tied to Al-Qaeda were not pursued any further.

And in the ten years since, the FBI has stopped few Islamic terrorism money-laundering operations. The agency has done a lot of show raids for publicity, but the raided organizations, like the Detroit area’s LIFE for Relief and Development (Al-Qaeda and HAMAS – $20 million plus per year) and Al-Mabarat Charitable Organization (Hezbollah – $1 million plus per year) remain open for business and continue their non-stop one-way Islamic Western Union-style cash flow to overseas parties detrimental to America and Western interests. Methinks the late Henry Ford is turning over in his grave. He’s just been forcibly reincarnated as a tall Black man in a clown suit. While Ford did Hitler’s propaganda efforts here, now we have former cross-dresser and Madonna paramour, Dennis Rodman, doing the bidding of one of the modern-day Hitlers, Kim Jong-Un.

It must be a sign that the apocalypse is upon us when Rodman (in a U.S. money print blazer) is the chief propagandist for Kim Jong-Un, a man whose hegemony includes hundreds of thousands of North Koreans in concentration camps for no legitimate reason. Kim mass murdered his people, the ones who are still alive (and are starving to death) are frightened of him, and the human rights (or rather absence thereof) are atrocious. He’s vowed to destroy America and the West. He gladly works in concert with his fellow human rights abusers Iran, Syria, and China in the development of nukes. But “guess what? guess what? guess what?” Dennis Rodman says he’s a “great guy,” a “great kid” (at age 28, which is NOT a kid, it’s a fully grown man–an adult, who should know and act better). Two out of three ain’t bad. Here are my reviews of what’s new at movie theaters, this weekend.

* “The Sweeney“: My biggest complaint about this movie is that many of the characters speak in a very heavy Cockney English accent, which is difficult to decipher. I also had problems with the glorification of a bad cop. On the other hand, the movie is very entertaining, has a great plot, and is a very suspenseful thriller.

Based on a British TV show, the Flying Squad (a/k/a “The Sweeney”) of London’s Metropolitan Police is a hard-charging law enforcement unit that foils bank robberies and major thefts. One of its most grizzled veterans, played by the always excellent Ray Winstone, isn’t exactly honest but he has his charm and the movie roots for him. He skims off of the recovered loot and makes his own rules. There is something to be said for acting like criminals in order to catch them, but he goes too far and is under investigation by the internal affairs investigator with whose wife Winstone is having an affair. The wife, as well as Winstone’s nephew, work on the Sweeney squad. The Sweeney detectives try to figure out who is behind a jewelry store robbery in which a young customer is executed. They chase after the man who Winstone believes is the culprit, a career criminal Winstone has put behind bars time and again. But is he really the man behind it all? What is really going on here? Actress Bonnie Franklin died today at age 69 from cancer. I feel for her family, but I’m saddened by the ignorant, mindless gushing over Franklin and the acting gig for which she’s most famous–the show, “One Day at a Time.” The fact is that Bonnie Franklin was an unabashed liberal, NOW (National Organization for (Ugly) Women) member, and pro-abortion activist. Her show and her politics glorified single motherhood and helped destroy America. When “One Day at a Time” was on television, there were no cable and internet. There were just three major broadcast channels on TV, and her show, which featured a single mother who slutted around and had a parade of men “sleep over” (euphemism), wielded an enormous–and enormously negative–influence on the American family. As a kid, I could never understand why my babysitter, Andrea, made me watch this awful show. Bonnie Franklin is the mother of the breakdown of the American family. (And Norman Lear, who created the show and brought it to TV, is the father of it.)

A Deceptively Catchy Theme Song for a Depressing, Destructive Show . . .

You only need look across America, its prisons, its high school drop-out population, its drug users, its perpetual cycles of babymamas giving birth to baby mamas to see the results. We know that most criminals come from single mother households. Ditto for those who drop out of school, become drug addicts, and become single mothers themselves. And Franklin’s depressing show, with its deceptive, misleading, and catchy theme song (that did not match the ample unhappiness in real-life single motherhood), contributed greatly to the kids out of wedlock who litter America and now make up in excess of 42% of births in America. On this site, I’ve told you about the Obama Dollar Store Cold Turkey Index, the Obama Diaper Rash Index, the Obama Spam Consumption Index, and the Obama Lego Toy Market Index–all basic daily life indicators of how bad things are in America under the hegemony of Barack Hussein Obama. Now there is the Obama Distressed Home Sales Index. Nearly half of all homes sold in the United States in 2012 were from foreclosures and short sales.

Close to half of all home sales last year were in some way related to foreclosed properties or short sales, a figure still disproportionately high. . . . A total of 947,995 U.S. properties in some stage of foreclosure or bank-owned (REO) were sold during the year . . . . reported RealtyTrac today. Foreclosure-related sales and “short sales,” when homes are sold for less than what is owed, accounted for a combined 43 percent of all U.S. residential sales in 2012. Read the rest of this entry »

The picture, below, features Yityish Aynaw, the new Miss Israel. An Israeli Jew, she was born in Ethiopia and served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). In the Miss Israel competition, she said the historical figure who most influenced her is Martin Luther King, Jr. There are many Ethiopian Jews in Israel, and they have the same rights and responsibilities as all other Israeli Jews. The Muslim and anti-Israel claim that Jews are racist or that Zionism is racism is utter BS. How many Black beauty pageant winners do you see coming out of any of the Arab or Muslim countries? Very few if any at all, since Blacks are referred to as “abeed” (Arabic for “slaves” but it’s really the Muslim and Arabic N-word) by Arabs and Muslims.

You will never see this in the Arab Islamic World. Israel has much to be proud of, especially in women’s rights and in treating people from all walks of life with decency and respect. Read the rest of this entry »

Even though his family paid for the New York Times to run this obituary (‘cuz the New York HAMAS Times would never run this on its own), you gotta love the death notice for Amos Shuchman, Zichrono LiVrachah [Blessed Be His Memory, the Hebrew phrase we Jews use for fellow Jews instead of “Rest In Peace”]. Shuchman, an American and an Israeli, fought with the Haganah (the forerunner to the IDF) to help establish the State of Israel.

SHUCHMAN–Amos, of New York, on February 1, 2013. Beloved and caring husband of Alice Shuchman for 51 years, father of Daniel (Lori Lesser) and Nina (Brian Roth), grandfather of Jacob, Sarah, Aaron and Ariela. Born in Tel Aviv in 1928, fought bravely in the Haganah. Loved his family, his birth and adopted countries, finance, skiing, opera, ballet and biking in Central Park. Loved everything about NYC, except the New York Times. Services at Beth El Cemetery (Or Zarua section), Paramus, NJ, Sunday at 11am. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
