Weekend Box Office: Thanks For Sharing

By Debbie Schlussel

Because of the myriad Jewish holidays, I did not see most of the new movies debuting in theaters today. (I did not see “Prisoners” or “Battle of the Year,” but I will try to see the former later this weekend and post my review afterward.) In fact, I only saw one, “Thanks For Sharing,” and I wish I hadn’t. It’s more like, “No Thanks For Sharing. TMI [Too Much Information].”

thanksforsharing

Is America hurting from some shortage of sex addiction/masturbation movies? Seems like the pervs in Hollywood must think so, because I’ve seen more than one movie recently involving those topics. This one and “Don Jon,” which will come out in theaters next week, and my review will be posted then.

I wasn’t sure what the point of this movie was . . . other than to provide paychecks for the equally loathsome Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, and Josh Gad, and to give Gwyneth Paltrow the opportunity to strip and show off her flat-chested body in lingerie. Yes, we know–a trainer paid tens of thousands of dollars to spend several hours a day in a gym with Gwyneth works. Thanks for the tip. Paltrow, per usual, is more than just a little bit annoying. She’s mega-annoying. Read the rest of this entry »

40 Years Later, Phony “Battle of the Sexes” That Never Was Still Hyped

By Debbie Schlussel

Today is the 40th anniversary of a sports “Battle of the Sexes” that wasn’t. Incredibly, this phony set-up, which proved nothing and was completely fake, is still getting oodles of hype. On September 20, 1973, women’s tennis champ (and feminist activist) Billie Jean King played former men’s tennis pro Bobby Riggs and “beat” him. It was pimped on America as some sort of proof that women were not only equal to men, but better than them physically.

battleofthesexes

But King was 29 years old at the time. Riggs was 55, 26 years older. He could have been her father. She was still playing professional tennis and at the top of her game. Riggs was long retired and wasn’t even the best man on the senior men’s tennis circuit. It was hardly a contest of equals. Not even close. Moreover, there have long been stories that Riggs threw the match to settle his many gambling debts. And, in the last several weeks, there have been a number of news reports confirming Riggs’ relationship with the mob–in retirement, he was known as a bookie of sorts–and positing that he was ordered by Cosa Nostra to deliberately lose. That’s probably what happened. King, forever deluded into actually believing she won something here, is in denial of this likelihood and won’t accept Riggs’ known mafiosi connections. American Pistachio Giant Partners w/ North Korean Tyranny – Bigtime Dem Donors

By Debbie Schlussel

If this were 1943, I wonder if Lynda Resnick would be making commercials with Josef Goebbels yukking it up and hawking her “Wonderful” brand of pistachios? In fact, I don’t wonder. Sadly, it’s a pretty good bet she would do it.

Major Democrat Donors Stewart & Lynda Resnick Are Behind Disgusting Dennis Rodman Ad

Resnick and her husband, Stewart Resnick, are the billionaire owners of the companies that produce Fiji Water, Pom Wonderful, Wonderful pistachio, and Cuties tangerine products. They also own Teleflora. And, now, they’ve produced a commercial featuring Dennis Rodman, hawking their pistachios while making light of anyone who is alarmed by North Korean tyranny.

The commercial features Rodman and a Kim Jong Un lookalike and makes light of the fact that Kim is a mass murderer and Rodman is his propagandist and apologist. And the Resnicks, who are major donors to liberal Democrats, including the Democratic Party (see Lynda’s campaign contributions; see Stewart Resnick’s campaign contributions–they seem to love Cory Booker and Ed Markey, among others), apparently don’t think there’s a problem trampling on the memories of Kim’s many innocent victims. Your Day in “Trusted Traveler”: Guess the Religion of Man Caught at Border w/ 3,450 Rounds; Gets Released!

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve frequently criticized “trusted traveler” programs enacted with the cooperation of the U.S. government, because they allow the possibility that terrorists will escape the security scrutiny to which everyone else is subject, merely because someone without a record paid $200. The programs are ripe for terrorist abuse. And, now, an unnamed (gee, I wonder why) Canadian man has proven that true. And it’s not the first time I’ve told you about one of these transgressions by a “trusted traveler.”

muslimgivingthefinger.jpg

trustedtraveler.jpg

The 36-year-old Canadian, a “trusted traveler” whose name hasn’t been disclosed (is it, “Mohammed”?), was caught on Tuesday, trying to smuggle 3,450 rounds of ammunition into the U.S. from Canada, via the Detroit-Windsor Ambassador Bridge. Now, how did this unnamed Al-Canadi get into the trusted traveler program? He probably didn’t have a record. Terrorist groups know this, and so they train and select those without records to apply for these programs. He probably thought his bullets wouldn’t be detected. And they might not have been, since trusted traveler participants are subject to only very basic searches. That this man was subject to a secondary screening–where the ammunition was discovered–isn’t likely for trusted travelers. In fact, it usually doesn’t happen. So, this was lucky. How many times have “trusted travelers” gotten their weaponry through? Many times. Count on it.

Incredibly, Homeland Security officials released the man to freedom, into the great American abyss . . . after he tried to sneak thousands of bullets into America and lied about it to Customs and Border Protection officials. HUH? How does that happen? It happens because we aren’t serious about America’s national security. It’s a joke. You might say he was released because authorities want to follow him and see with whom he meets. Um, no. The guy has been made, and he knows it. And the incident has been publicized. He’s not going to alert authorities as to why he tried to smuggle the bullets in and with whom he was planning to do who-knows-what with them.

Sukkot 2013: To My Friends & Readers . . .

By Debbie Schlussel

Tonight at sundown, the Jewish holiday of Sukkot begins (and ends next week–it lasts seven days, and then there are a couple of one-day holidays tacked on after the end). I’ll be posting one or two more things tonight, and I have several newsworthy things I’ve written in advance, which will be posted during my absence on Thursday and Friday. Per usual, it’s stuff you won’t read anywhere else. So stay tuned.

sukkah4.jpg

Various Versions of Sukkahs/Sukkot

To my Jewish friends and readers, I wish you a “Chag Sukkot Kasher v’Sameach”–a Kosher and Happy Sukkot Holiday. For my gentile readers, here’s an explanation of the holiday:

Sukkot is one of my favorite Jewish holidays because it’s a cool fall, outdoorsy holiday. Here’s some information about Sukkot, from a previous post:

Sukkot (also called Sukkos, Succos, or Succot) is called Tabernacles in English. It is one of the three Jewish harvest festival holidays, and we commemorate the Jews’ temporary existence (and temporary dwellings), while wandering in the Sinai desert [and subject to the will of G-d and the weather conditions imposed by Him].

To do so, Jews build temporary huts (called “Sukkot” for plural) outside their homes. They decorate the Sukkah (singular of the word) and eat all meals there during the holiday. (My father used to sleep in it, too.) It is very fun for kids because they help decorate the sukkah, and also visit other Sukkot in the neighborhood, eating candy and other treats there, sort of like on Halloween (but no tricks or treats, and it’s way more spiritual). My late father used to make his special drink for visiting kids, Vernor’s Ginger Ale, mixed with powdered Nestle’s quick and a generous splash of Rich’s Coffee Rich (sometimes he substituted Faygo Rock & Rye soda (we call it “pop” in Michigan) for the ginger ale). Election Jihad: 3 Muslims Charged With Election Fraud in Seeking to Take Over Detroit Suburb

By Debbie Schlussel

Last week, I told you about Muslim attempts to take over Hamtramck, Michigan, a/k/a “Hamtramckstan,” via ballot and election fraud. As I’ve noted over the years, Hamtramck went from a largely Polish Catholic Detroit suburb to a Muslim-dominated shariah city. But, until now, Muslims have never won the mayor position or taken over Hamtramck’s City Council. That’s coming. But until then, several Muslims thought they’d get things going faster through election fraud–by turning in hundreds of fraudulent absentee ballots (the number of absentee ballots cast in this year’s summer primary election were double the number cast in last year’s Presidential election). Today, several Muslims were criminally charged by Michigan’s Attorney General for the election fraud. Unfortunately, Abdul Algazali, the Muslim candidate for Mayor who may have had a part in the scheme, is not among those charged and will likely be elected Hamtramckstan Mayor in November. I call this “election jihad” or “halalection.”

Halal Election Fraud in Hamtramckstan

Three men, including a Hamtramck city council candidate in August’s primary election, are being charged with returning absentee ballots that did not belong to them. . . . Hamtramck Deputy City Clerk August Gitschlag told authorities that three people had delivered multiple absentee ballots to City Hall in violation of state election law, which says those in possession of ballots must be the voter, a relative, mail carrier or authorized official.

Salim Ahmed, 50, of Hamtramck, is charged with 21 counts of improper possession or return of absentee ballots. Armani Asad, 33, of Hamtramck, is charged with 14 counts of improper possession or return of absentee ballots. Mohammed Russell, 32, of Hamtramck, is charged with six counts of improper possession or return of absentee ballots. The charges are felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and a $1,000 fine. The men are expected to turn themselves in to authorities Thursday for arraignment, where they will be held on $10,000 bail each. Read the rest of this entry »

OUTRAGE: Joe Biden to Keynote Convention of Israel Boycotters, HAMAS-Lovers

By Debbie Schlussel

Joe Biden, as we all know, ain’t exactly bright. But you would think that even that moron would know better than to agree to be the keynote speaker for the convention of an organization that openly supports and endorses the boycott of, divestment from, and sanctions against Israel. You would be wrong. Biden will keynote the annual convention of J Street, an openly anti-Israel group of self-hating Jews that frequently partners for Arab and Muslim anti-Israel organizations and openly endorses their same call for the economic destruction of Israel through boycotts, sanctions, and divestment. J Street is largely funded by George Soros, who helped the Nazis round up Jews and send them to their deaths in the camps. J Street also lobbies with Iran and has the Saudi Embassy’s lawyer as one of its prominent donors (in addition to Soros). Watch the video below of the J Street members and conference attendees in 2011, and ask yourself how these opinions are different than those heard at a HAMAS brothel.

joebidenjstreet

Yesterday, I received this e-mail message, below, from J Street chief Jeremy Ben-Ami (who, like Soros, also would have helped the Nazis round up Jews and send them to their deaths if he had lived during the Holocaust). It’s funny to read Ben-Ami’s claim that J Street is a “pro-Israel” organization. I guess you could say it is . . . in the same way that stage five cancer is a pro-life affliction.

This is an important moment for American leadership, and J Street’s 2013 conference in Washington DC from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1 is a wonderful chance to stand together and answer Secretary of State John Kerry challenge to build a “great constituency for peace.”

We’re honored to announce that, at our conference, Vice President Joe Biden will be delivering a keynote address. Read the rest of this entry »

Prohibition 2.0: Obama Seeks to End Drinking, Put Bars, Restaurants Outta Biz – NO Joke

By Debbie Schlussel

I’m not from the big drinkers (I barely drink alcohol ever and haven’t had a beer in years–the extent of my drinking is at Jewish religious observances and an occasional glass of wine while relaxing). But even I know how ridiculous the Obama Administration’s latest attempt to re-institute the Prohibition is. Obama’s hand-picked transportation safety officials are seeking to set a national blood alcohol level limit of .05. I never drink when I know I’ll be driving, but since I’m petite, that would mean I could not drink even a single beer before driving. And for most average-sized men, it could mean 1-2 beers. It’s an incredibly low blood-alcohol limit, and will put bars and restaurants out of business. Frankly, I think they should have kept the previous .10 limit and not lowered it to .08.

drinkupbitchesobamasmiling.jpg

Drink Up, Bitches. If the Obamas Have Their Way, It May Be Your Last Drink

The head of the National Transportation Safety Board defended the agency’s proposal to lower the legal limit for drunken driving from .08 percent blood-alcohol content to .05 or lower. The NTSB voted 5-0 in May to recommend dropping the legal blood-alcohol limits, but it has garnered little support. No state has yet moved to take the action. NTSB chair Debbie Hersman said in a speech Monday at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore that she was confident the proposal would ultimately be adopted, despite what seems like insurmountable opposition. This Why We Need Amnesty? Homeland Security Raids Arab Immigrants in Multi-Store Bridge Card Fraud

By Debbie Schlussel

So, we keep getting barraged with data about the percentage and number of immigrants who start small businesses and pay taxes and so on . . . in the propaganda war in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. Sadly, they never tell you that many of these “small businesses” are also engaged in the not-so-small biz of Bridge Card fraud and other forms of crime and rip-offs. I’ve written many times over the years about Arab Muslim immigrants who are raided because they are committing such food stamp fraud, many of them tied to Hezbollah, including the cousins of the terrorist who blew up the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I also told you about another convicted Bridge Card defrauder who is a Hezbollah terrorist and was caught with explosive material on his passport when he traveled from Detroit from Canada. And, today, the feds–including agents from Homeland Security Investigations a/k/a ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)–raided nine to ten businesses in a Bridge Card investigation at Detroit’s Eastern Market (where many stores are owned by Muslims and the businesses are all cash). I looked up the ownership of the stores that were identified in the media report, and at least two of the three mentioned are owned by Iraqi Arab immigrants. Watch the video:

Yup, we need more immigrant small business owners like this to be “brought out from under the shadows.” Right? Read the rest of this entry »

Is America Just Incompetent? Aaron Alexis Case Just Another Example of Our Desperate-But-Not-Serious Govt

By Debbie Schlussel

So let me get this straight: a guy who had mental problems, said he was hearing voices, claimed to have PTSD, had repeated incidents of misconduct while in the Navy (EIGHT of them!), and was arrested twice in recent years over gun issues, is not only honorably discharged from the Navy but gets secret security clearance to go back to work on a Navy base. HUH?????

aaronalexis

Is America just incompetent? Just not serious about national security or even just the security of our servicemen on military bases? It sure looks like that’s the case. Otherwise, how do you explain the access and security clearance that Navy Yard assassin Aaron Alexis had? How do you explain that he was assigned to begin work at the Navy Yard? How does this happen?
