Happy Birthday: Reagan Would’ve Been 95, Today

By
Congressional candidate Howard Kaloogian reminds us that today is an important date: Today, would have been the 95th birthday of the greatest President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. I was only in grade school when I helped my dad campaign for Reagan. Jimmy Carter was President, America had a kick me sign around the world, and inflation was in double digits. Oh, and remember the Shah, that Carter escorted out of Iran in favor of free, democratic elections there. Welcome, Khomeini–and ultimately, Ahmadinejad.
The Peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia told us that we would be the first American generation to do worse than our parents, not better. He even suggested bicycling to work to conserve energy. We said “buh-bye” to father of Amy, bro of Billy.
The day Ronald Reagan took office, January 20, 1981, American hostages in Iran were released after 444 days in captivity. Reagan cut taxes and made us feel proud to be Americans again. He said it best when he said, “We have the right to dream heroic dreams,” instead of being co-opted with pessimism and defeat, a la Carter.
Meeting President Reagan for the first time in 1987 was one of the greatest experiences of my life. And I’m proud to be friends with his bright and talented son, Michael.
Ronald Reagan may have passed away, but the spirit of the Reagan Revolution lives on.

Happy Birthday to Ronald Reagan!!!! Oh, that we would have another Ronald Reagan in office in these times.
The man who brought down the Berlin Wall, and it was Reagan not Gorbachev who deserves the credit. The man who was vehemently criticized for so rightly labelling the USSR the Evil Empire.
I just happen to believe this Iraq war would be far different with Reagan in office…and I bet Iran wouldn’t be thumbing their noses at the USA and the rest of the world, either.

The great one. President Reagan will always have a special place in our family. He understood the threat that the Sandinistas posed to the western hemisphere and took on them head on. No apoligies. When we heard the news of his death, my Mom and I talked on the phone about him. We owe our freedom to his courage and convictions.
God bless you, Ronald Reagan.

R.I.P. and may history remember him as the liberator of Eastern Europe and one of the greatest men who ever lived.

Eminem’s Revenge, the village called and they want their idiot, meaning you, back.
Righhhht, Reagan forced homos to have perverted sex and get Aids and he also forced stupid people to smoke crack.
RIP, to the great leader and man Ronald Reagan.

I must admit I was wrong about one thing. Ronald Reagan DID force one stupid person to smoke crack….Jimmy Carter.
What a disgusting, vile, hateful creep Carter has become, witness his speech at Coretta King’s funeral. Carter deserves every single bit of humiliation for Reagan sweeping him out of office after one term. Carter is one of the worst presidents, ever. What a little man compared to Ronald Reagan.
Once again, eternal thanks to Ronald Reagan for the Reagan Revolution that wiped out 2 Evil Empires, the old Soviet Union and the modern day Democrat party.

President Reagan was the first President for whom I voted. It has certainly been downhill since then.

Happy Birthday Mr. President.
As Rush calls him: Ronaldus Magnus.
Against cloning as I am, I will make an exception in cloning Ronald Reagan, because as of right now (although Bush is doing a good job), there is no one on the horizon with the guts to do what must be done to fight the current Evil Empire: Islam.
