Sad Day in Israel: Soldiers’ Bloody Attack on Own Citizens

By
**** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE ****
Kelo in the West Bank?
There was horrible violence against Jews in Israel, today, with hundreds seriously injured. But the violence was not at the hand of Islamic terrorists. It was at the hand of acting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Ohlmert. He can write his political epitaph with their blood on his hands. He okayed the orders to beat and torture Israeli citizens in order to hand their land, their homes over to Islamic terrorists.

Eldad Attacked by Israeli Soldiers

“With friends like this, who needs HAMAS?!”
That’s the feeling of Israelis and others around the world who watched today’s brutal attack by Israeli soldiers on fellow Israelis, including Members of Israel’s Parliament–the Knesset. One of them, Knesset Member and Brigadier General Effie Eitam–sustaining head injuries, including a skull fracture and concussion–was rushed to the same neurosurgery unit where vegetative Ariel Sharon (who started this whole mess) is now comatose.
Women were attacked and beaten, and hundreds of Israelis in Amona were brutally injured by metal clubs, including one of my heroes, Aryeh Eldad, a Member of Knesset and medical doctor (who is one of the strongest advocates against the phony “land-for-peace” Israeli retreat; yet treats Palestinian wound victims and nurses them to heath). Eldad had his hand fractureda and was knocked unconscious, today, by Israeli police. The violence was so bad that several Israeli soldiers resigned their commissions, today.

Israeli Distress: War on Citizens Now Beats Out War on Terror

Can you imagine American police beating Americans to get them to give their homes to Muslim terrorists and terror-supporters, say Al-Qaeda? That’s what happened, today, in Israel. Just last week, the Palestinians show, yet again, what they want, what they think, and what they mean when they elected HAMAS–hardly a suprise, despite what Condoleeza Rice and others fertilize. But the dovish Israeli government still doesn’t get it.
You don’t brutalize your law-abiding citizens to help terrorists. Not here in America. Not there in Israel. It is a sign of weakness, not strength. And it will NEVER bring peace. Only catastrophe.
A nation turned on itself today. So the terrorists don’t have to.

They sure did go overboard, but the news clips showed the illegal settlers dropping boiling oil onto the police/soldiers. Holy crap! Did the same thing in Gaza, so I reckon it was expected.
Several dozen more locations to go, so this may become quite a spectacle. But if the rule of law says to clear out, then why don’t they clear out?

A RARE *shtick*free moment…what i’ve always admired about YOU Deb ever since i first heard you on Stern was your devout PASSION!!!
All of MY life i have tried to figure out the book of Job, and all i’ve come up with thus far is that auld Adonai has a perverse sense of humour…why else would He allow all this bullshit to happen???
These are indeed strange days we’re living thru…hopefully SOME DAY it’ll all make sense.

I think the key words here are “law-abiding.” These citizens were not obeying the law. They may not like the law, but it is a stretch to say they are “law-abiding citizens.” Violent force was met with violent force. Since when is this news in Israel?
TO WHAT LAW ARE YOU REFERRING? ISRAEL ENCOURAGED THESE PEOPLE TO LIVE THERE FOR YEARS.

“Can you imagine American police beating Americans to get them to give their homes to give homes to Mulsim terrorists and terror-supporters?” You know Debbie, it’s sad but actually I can considering some of the stuff you report on. As far as Sharon starting this mess, yes he made a big misstep but he would have never allowed this to happen. He genuinely thought what he did was a good move for Israel and the West but this guy Ohlmert, who knows WHAT he’s thinking? Hopefully Benjamin Netanyahu will come back to clean up this mess out there. After having been proven right all along, he is becoming more popular in Israel, unfortunately much more so than someone like Tom Tancredo is here. Or someone like you. It will probably take Detroit ending up like Constantinople for you to finally get the respect you deserve.
WRONG. SHARON WAS TOTALLY BEHIND THESE ATTACKS ON ISRAELI CITIZENS. HE SUPPORTED IT IN GAZA AND OKAYED TODAY’S “ACTIVITIES” WELL BEFORE HE GOT ILL. THE SHARON OF 1985 WOULD NEVER HAVE ALLOWED THIS. THE SHARON OF 2005 PLANNED IT.

See, I didn’t know that. I knew he planned the withdrawal, but as far as this stuff, maybe it was just disbelief on my part. I know people were forced out of Gaza but I didn’t know there was actually violence involved. Sharon was a legend, it’s disturbing that he would turn around and do something like this.

KnightoftheImpaler on February 1, 2006 at 6:33 pm

If this is how the IDF treats its own citizens and members of Parliament, I wonder how they treat the Palestinians.
WAY BETTER THAN THEY TREAT ISRAELI JEWS. THAT’S THE IRONY. THE ISRAELIS TREAT TERRORISTS AND TERROR-SUPPORTING PALESTINIANS BETTER THAN THEIR OWN CITIZENS. THAT’S THE POINT. LEAVE IT TO THE ACLU TO NOT KNOW BETTER. OR CARE.

The settler movement is a disaster for Israel and will eventually lead to its demise as a Jewish state.
The settlers are not willing to leave the West Bank and Israel will end up including West Bank as part of greater Israel. That will result in a one man one vote situation and the Israelis will lose the demographic battle akin to how the Protestants will lose the demographic battle to the Catholics in Northern Ireland by 2020.
If the settlers continue to insist on living all over the West Bank, the Palestinians will eventually become de facto citizens of Israel on West Bank.

lawman on February 1, 2006 at 8:20 pm

Every time Israel gives up land, the Palestinians behave themselves for a limited time until they fall back into the same violent behaviour against innocents. Who can judge the settlers for not leaving without a fight?

code7 on February 1, 2006 at 8:48 pm

LAMEMAN; although you wish it and you pray to allah all day for it and teach your young it.A demise of the Jewish state will not come about.

KnightoftheImpaler, “Can you imagine American police beating Americans to get them to give their homes to give homes to Mulsim terrorists and terror-supporters?”
Actually, yes I can. Now that the government can take any house they want as ruled by the Supreme Court via imminent domain. Then, remember Elian Gonzalez?
This is particularly the type of behavior a typical liberal would applaud.

Thanks for posting this Debbie. Not many American bloggers are on it yet. Here’s the best pics I’ve found so far:

“…I think the key words here are “law-abiding.” These citizens were not obeying the law. They may not like the law, but it is a stretch to say they are “law-abiding citizens.” Violent force was met with violent force. Since when is this news in Israel…” eminem’s revenge.
The government that was elected in 2003 to end any terror, betrayed the overwhelming vote and was bought off by the EU, the US, the Quartet, and implemented the policy of the utterly defeated party that wanted to evacuate and retreat. The retreat, the surrender of Gush Katif, with the abject and utter invasion of al-quaidastan into Gaza, breaking all the pseudo agreements about Egypt and European protectors of the border abandoned by Israel, was ignored by the said parties who forced Israeli retreat. Now…. the land in Amona, was LEGALLY lived in, NEVER arab owned nor there land, and in fact, was nothing but an empty tyrannical show of force by an unelected party lead by an unelected interim prime minister from an unelected political party- Kadima- that has been placed in power with money and interference from the left of Europe, the US and others who want the surgical dissection of Israel, so as to ward off the inevitable conflict with Islam. That’s my assertion at the end- the rest is not my assertion- just simple facts.
So- the actions of the 500 or so honest Israeli’s who were forced to stand up to near a division of specially trained police thugs- thugs- since their sole purpose is to brutalize jews, and win theh hearts of those who would denude Israel, who did to Jews what they never do to arabs- who beat two ministers of the Knesset- one a two star general- who was beaten over the head.
He didn’t lift a finger nor do anything to provoke any of the attack upon him. Nor did virtually all- the provoking was done by 7500 police who attacked and forced the issue upon the legal community. And Israel is being forced to accept hamas, behind the scenes now that the utter failure of the abandonment of Gush Katif is so obviously apprarent.
This is now being done, and will be done, despite anything you hear publically- and it will happen. The people of Israel will try to vote this loser Olmert and this party, Kadima of unelected losers, out, but the Left and Europe and the Quartet will back it to the hilt, depite the wished of Israeli’s.

firstly those people are not violating the law, they are violating a purely political decision by the government…the courts have not ruled against the residents there
it would also be nice if people were aware of the effect of calling people ‘settlers’ makes them less than human, it’s why mainstream news organizations report on victims of terrorist attacks as ‘settlers’
effectively what we are seeing is illegal ethnic cleansing by a government that is itself illegal
Israel elects political parties not individuals. The Likud was elected. The current Kadima was not. It is only in power because the attorney general is claiming that Sharon is only ‘temporarily incapacitated’ a position so absurd it’s downright insane
as for the hot oil, the mysterious fluids and whatnot, so far most of those reports have proven to be lies as a previous investigation proved
p.s. Debbie, thank you for reposting the pictures, it’s important that people see them

sultan_knish on February 1, 2006 at 11:43 pm

Scott: Remember, it was Debbie who first rhetorically asked that question. I’m glad someone agrees with me on the answer. It’s scary when your own government does the enemy’s dirty work.

KnightoftheImpaler on February 2, 2006 at 12:03 am

Unfortunately,I think this is the kind of shit Ben Gurion would’ve pulled;I didn’t dig him-or Olmert-Ben Gurion #2.

jaywilton on February 2, 2006 at 8:26 am

JAYWAILTON;True colors showing ? “Unfortunately.I think this is the kind of shit Ben Gurrion would’ve pulled.I didn’t dig him-….” Like you have a clue.

danny on February 2, 2006 at 1:54 pm

Thanks for heaping abuse on the men in the arena. Prime Minister Ohlmert and the Israelis are dealing with a problem that removed-from-reality folks like yourselves can’t comprehend. If they keep most of the occupied territories, it won’t be too many more years before there are more Palestinians than Israelis in the state of Israel. Imagine a Hamas government of Israel. It’s coming under the policies you support.
Sharon, the man, who as you say “started this mess” by kickstarting the whole settler movement and subsidizing settlements for decades, finally figured that out. Classy dig, by the way, about his “vegetative” state.

Soldat Svejk on February 2, 2006 at 5:27 pm

Dummy(Danny)Get off the rag before you shoot off your tuchis;there is no lack of criticism of Ben-Gurion.

jaywilton on February 2, 2006 at 7:34 pm

Jaywilton; and what have you ever done with your life that is any better than a punk armchair blogger? Look up my uncle Zeev. His last name was Sharef.,You piece of…

danny on February 2, 2006 at 10:01 pm

OK Dummy(Danny);now get off your knee pads and say it to my face.

jaywilton on February 3, 2006 at 9:58 am

Soldat Svejk;you and Danny connected to the same
falafel brain? “Men in the arena” exempt from
very obviously legitimate criticism? You and Danny
prove there are no lack of foo’s in Israel.I’m
pretty sure Israeli’s with brains see a similarity
between Ohmert and Ben-Gurion’s handling of the
Altalena in ’48.You don’t like criticism of Israel’s politicians, move to Syria.

jaywilton on February 3, 2006 at 10:54 am

I kind of agree with both sides here. On one hand, it is true that every time Israel gives the Palestinians land, etc., they “behave” for awhile and then start trouble again.
On the other hand, the reality that even Sharon came to realize is that if you do not do some kind of separation, the Jewish state will one day disappear from the population bomb instead of the suicide bomb. The truth is that in the territories a lot of resources are being wasted to defend thousands who are surrounded by millions who only want to see those thousands dead.
Just like the “facts on the ground” are that there are some settlements near the Green Line concentrated enough that they should stay no matter what, it is also true that in other areas of the territories the population is almost completely Palestinian. What do you do with them? Kill them all? Expel them?
Short of a massive effort to increase Aliyah and Jewish birthrates, the only way to really stop this is to separate from them and have the security fence to protect the final borders of Israel. That is the best defense to insure the future of the Jewish state.

hairymon on February 4, 2006 at 12:21 am

yep ; a fence.Gotta be.But the hate the arab learns from birth will bring violence to the world for a long long time .Not just little Israel but the whole world. Look their parents, leaders and heck even their ‘men of god’ teach hate from birth. How do you beat that?Americans use to think “wecome them in” now it’s like a trojan horse. While Israel can’t afford the resources to protect those ‘territories’.America can’t afford to not use the resources to correctlly.

danny on February 4, 2006 at 6:04 am

Hopefully,Ehud “Dress Yiddish,Think British”Ohlmert emulates “Avner” from ‘Unich’ and emigrates to Islamic occupied France. This isn’t a Jewish issue;the people demeaningly referred to as “the settlers” are the front lines opposing
a unique Nazi/Islamic policy in which only
Moslems have a right to live wherever they decide is “Moslem holy turf”.If the people who were brutalized in this action are “settlers”,so are Zionist schmucks like Ohlmert and Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion.Ben-Gurion’s despicable record in rescuing Jews from The Holocaust while “leading” “Jewish
occupied Palestine” is detailed in Tom Segev’s ‘The Seventh Million’;he was more concerned with playing footsie with the British and Israel’s Hebrew culture denigrated Yiddish speakers as “soap”.
A family friend, fleeing Europe made it to “Palestine” as a member of Ben-Gurion’s rival Irgun led by Menachem Begin;Ben-Gurion’s Hagganah fired machine
guns at his feet,he was tossed into prison and vowed never to return. In the 50’s,a Holocaust survivor charged the Ben-Gurion government with knowingly appointing Hungarian “Jewish leader” Rudolf Kastner to a government post;Kastner was a Nazi collaborator who dealt directly with Adolf
Eichmann. The Israeli government sued the survivor/author for libel-and lost-and Kastner was assasinated.Details are in ‘Scarface’ author Ben Hecht’s ‘Perfidy’,which predicted that an asshole
leader like Ohlmert would come along in the first sentence:”In my own time, governments have taken the place of people. They have also taken the place of God.Governments speak for people, dream for them, and determine, absurdly, their lives and deaths…”

jaywilton on February 7, 2006 at 10:18 am

So Debbie is jaywilton one of these to listen to or not?

danny on February 7, 2006 at 6:09 pm

Yo’ mama,Dummy(Danny);listen to that.
