Mondull: 2nd Half of Irrelevant Presidency Says We’re “Racist”

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s official.  The second half of the Peanuts Presidency says we’re racist.

That’s right.  Walter Mondale, the dullest politico alive, says that those of us who criticize Barack Obama are racists.  Now, I know why it was so important to have a Black President.  It wasn’t to “break racial barriers.”  Nope.  It was to innoculate the latest uber-liberal in the White House from all criticism by playing an easily played race card.

mondullobama

Walter who?  He’s the guy who was Jimmy Carter’s Veep and then got trounced–trounced!–atop the Dem ticket by Ronald Reagan in a 49-state sweep.  The only states this race-card player won were his home state of Minnesota and the Communist enclave of the People’s Republican of Washington, DC-istan.

The biggest news this has-been failure made in the last two decades was when his daughter Eleanor was on the White House visitors list and Lincoln Bedroom Gymnastics Team when Hillary was away and Bill was looking for some “lovin’.”

So, now this irrelevant second half of America’s worst Presidency in contemporary history, Mondull, spouts this Jimmuh regurgitation:

Former Vice President Walter Mondale joined his old boss Jimmy Carter Wednesday, arguing that some of the opposition to President Obama’s agenda is fueled by racial animus.

Asked at an event in Washington whether he agreed with former President Carter that racism was behind some criticism of Obama, Mondale took a long pause before answering: “Yeah.”

“I don’t like saying it,” Mondale continued. “Having lived through those years, when civil rights was such a bitter issue, and when we argued those things for years … I know that some of that must still be around.”

“I don’t want to pick a person, say, he’s a racist, but I do think the way they’re piling on Obama, the harshness, you kind of feel it,” he said. “I think I see an edge in them that’s a little bit different and a little harsher than I’ve seen in other times.”

Mondull made these comments at a screening of “Fritz,” a documentary on his life in politics.  Hmmm . . . how do you document paint drying?

Well, it’s pretty smart to play the race card.  He got momentary attention for an irrelevant, waste-of-time movie that would die in oblivion.  And will anyway.  Just like he will.

I just laughed out loud. Now I have to find some paper towers to clean off my monitor.

Let’s look and see which side of the aisle is racist:

Isn’t it funny that we are being lectured by the political party who promotes racism and values segragation within it’s own party (i.e. – Congressional Black Caucus, etc.). I just wonder if the sleeping caps that these Democrats wear at night, whether literally or figuratively, aren’t really KKK hoods. Maybe this is how they are able to sleep at night.

WHAT RACE IS MARXISM, COMMUNISM, SLAVERY, OBAMA?
HIS KENYA FAHER WAS AN AFRICAN-ARAB AND HIS KANSAS MOTHER WAS A “FELLOW TRAVELER”.

Do you remember that Mondale had the original red phone ad? The same type of ad that the evil witch Shrillary used against Odopey.

I am probably going to get tarred and feathered for this comment, but I think the headline on this post is extremely misleading. The lead in this story very clearly states that “some of the opposition to President Obama’s agenda is fueled by racial animus.” I don’t see how you can twist this to say that if you oppose Obama than you are racist.
I have no doubt that SOME of the opposition to President Obama is racist. I said some, not all or even much, but surely some people who are opposing President Obama are opposing him because he is black.
Before anyone out there thinks that I am just another liberal spouting off, one of the proudest moments of my life was turning 18 in time to be able to vote for Ronald Reagen in 1980.
I think distortions like this hurt rather than help our cause.

These sorts of attacks are being used to sheild President Obama from criticism. The Aryan Nations and the Ku Klux Klan are not the ones being focused on here, but participants in the fairly broad based opposition to President Obama. Stating in a weasel sort of way that some of the protestors are racist is a way of avoiding heavy blow back from an unequivocal statement, while still delegitimizing opponents. Would Walter Mondale like to actually name those who he claims have racist motivations?

One has to laugh out loud – every who disagrees with Obama must be a racist!

Yeah, sure.

Do you also remember that Mondale lost the race for the Minnesota US Senate seat when Wellstone died and Mondale ran against Coleman? So, he has lost in ALL 50 states for national office!! What a loser.

He also lost to Reagan because he campaigned on raising taxes. What a numbnuts.

Debbie said it best: “Walter who?”

FLASHBACK: Geraldine Ferraro, Mondale’s VP pick is a racist according to Obama Campaign.

Where are the questions to Mondale about the claim that Ferraro was racist by the Obama campaign?

If you are white and disagree with socialist obama you are a racist because he is half black. If you are black and disagree with with socialist obama then you are a racist because he is half white. That is very rare in our ecosystem for a black man to be labeled a racist for hating whitey, but when it is our lord and master the rules do have a way of changing.

So when can we hate him for his beliefs, character(lack of), failure at his elected job, and all the other things that have nothing to do with his color?

Martin Luther King’s dream was for America to bypass color and focus on character, the person themselves of who they are and their actions. So it seems the whole civil rights thing was just a waste of time when all it seems is people want to play the victim and get their free handouts. Sad actually.

Martin Luther King….a well respected, outside-the-box thinking black man, would have tears in his eyes if he found out what america has become today.

Remember after the election how Obama was being mentioned in the same breath as MLK? Shirts made with the two on it? It made me want to vomit, and it made me extremly offended.

You summed it up perfectly Debbie.

Of course there are those who oppose Obummer who are racist.
In my circle of friends and family I know of one fellow in particular who I would have to say is an old school redneck and he hates Obama. The media is using the few people like that to tar the entire opposition when probably nearly 99 percent of the folks rallying to the tea parties are against
his policies not his color.

We seem to discount the racism on the other side for some reason, but it’s there and just as virulent and nonsensical.

Hello Debbie and All

The protesters are not racists. They are not protesting his fathers’ side of the family, they’re just protesting his mother’s side of the family.

Thank you for reminding us, Mr. FORMER Vice President, how this country averted a disaster in 1984 by NOT electing you as president.

Deb, you know how the very last player selected in the NFL draft is dubbed “Mr. Irrelevant”? I think that title now belongs to both Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale.

Richard on September 26, 2009 at 10:20 am

Are you kidding? Obama is the President of the United States, and its fair that people criticize him. He was elected mainly to help resolve the financial crisis and our failing economy. Nearly 9 months later, what has Mr. Hope and Change brought? He is spending uncontrollably, giving money left and right to large corporations. All the morons who voted for this man thought he was going to help the middle class. So far the only people he has helped has been the ultra rich. Also his free spending policies are sending the US Dollar into a tail spin. While that does not sound like much, if Obama and the Federal Reserve continue their loose money policy, the US Dollar will decline sharply and value. That means that anyone who earns US Dollars will wind up having a lower standard of living because everything will become far more expensive. Yes this is Change we can all believe in. I personally do not like Obama and think he is a failure. If that makes me a racist, so be it.
