More MLK Day Leftovers: Spike Lee Attacks Bush

By
Check out what racist bigot had to say during his MLK Day visit to the Detroit area’s Oakland University.
Too bad Spike never listens to the title of his movie, “Do the Right Thing.” His “right” thing is to continue to attack the President Bush, and now he’s making money off it (through a propaganda “documentary”). As reported by The Detroit Spews, sounds like Spike’s been smoking the same thing as Kanye “George Bush Doesn’t Care About Black People” West:

Lee, now working on an HBO documentary on the effects of Hurricane Katrina, blasted the Bush administration for its response to victims. He said he repeatedly heard international friends commenting on how New Orleans “looked like a Third World country, like (in) Africa or India.”
“Dr. King would have been greatly upset about what happened in Katrina and the slow-as-molasses response to the people there,” he said.
“How did America leave its people hanging out to dry?”

Spike Lee: Got Reverse Racism?

We wonder how much of the money from his films Spike Lee will donate to the Katrina victims. How much did he give already?
Remember what we said about Spike Lee? Read all the facts you need to know about this professional race merchant and here.

It’s amazing how you people always trot out the clowns when you’re trying to make a point…Spike Lee is as relevant to Black intelligentsia as Gilbert Gottfried is to Talmudic scholarship!!! Like Reverend Al “the people’s pal” Sharpton, HE has always been one of those bogarting fools thrust into the role of Black “leaders” by a white media…like Howard Stern has often stated—Black folk don’t go to Spike Lee movies.
Kanye was RIGHT on his assessment of GW…WHERE was Spike when Katrina was going down???
i have often heard that if you put TWO Jews in a room you’ll get THREE different opinions, yet Black folk are supposed to be monolithically goosestepping behind some clown who sits courtside at Knicks games? You’re gonna alienate all the Sambos who shuffle onto this site my JAP goddess…and for my haters…i just changed the re-direct to MY off-the-wall blog…LOL

How did this guy ever make it big in Hollywood? His films are basically Black urban versions of “Birth of a Nation.” And people consider the guy a hero. One minor problem though. While I agree with your assessment of K-Mart’s using this vile character as a spokesman and Martha Stewart’s attempt to be “down” with him in the earlier article you linked, it was uncalled for to take a shot at her anscestry. The majority of Poles in this country are very patriotic and find people like Lee repugnant. I know Howard takes shots at them because of their past history of astounding anti-Semitism and it’s funny when he does it, but a serious article should be above stuff like that. I don’t know, maybe I’m just imagining things and my apoligies if I am. Anyway, what do I care, it’s not like you took a shot at Romanians. But back to Spkie Lee, how did a guy like this get so big in the movie business in the first place? This just proves what I’ve been saying all along, that Hollywood lefties have a double standard about anti-Semitism and they consider it okay coming from non-Whites.

I dont see what was so bad about the report. If I was stranded some where for a week with out water or food, I would be upset too. Meanwhile while American were dying on American soil, the people who were suppose to have the top responsibilty to resolve the chaos were emailing each other about their outfits. If Spike Lee donates truth, and show a accurate depiction, he could donate a penny, and I wouldnt care. The truth is priceless and hopefully Mr. Lee can accomplish what many critics say he falls short on. I still love you all

As far as Eminem’s Revenge’s statement, I would say that as he put it, Blacks are not “monolithically goosestepping” in this country, but that’s the impression the media likes to give. I would agree that in this country the political opinions of Blacks are a grab bag, but they almost always just show one side on TV. The ones with more uniform opinions are the White leftists of the upper class and upper middle class. And it’s those people who are involved in a great deal of the news media.

KnightoftheImpaler on January 18, 2006 at 2:49 pm

Eminem’s Revenge:
Spike Lee is THE most prominent Black filmmaker. I didn’t make him rise to that prominence. The BLACK and WHITE audiences did. You cannot deny that he is one of the most prominent, most admired figures in Black pop culture. If he were a fringe person, I’d agree. But, unfortunately, as much as you’d like him to be, he isn’t. There is a reason he is so successful. And it is not because he is a fringe character. When did I say the Black people is a monolith. You are drawing your own conclusions when the evidence is not there.
BTW, who are you calling “you people”?

Darlingest Deborah…the future scourge who the ghettogirls on Okrah will be vilifying once WE consumate our LUV…by “you people” i mean the morons in media (excluding YOUR fine self…WINK WINK) who has elevated the munchkin Lee into the same sphere or REAL Black filmmakers like Robert Townsend, Mario Van Peebles, John Singleton and the Hughes brothers!!!
When WE organized a march on Howard Beach after the lynching of some brothers who DARED to walk into the New York Pizza(?…) parlour, Sharpton showed up and WE all asking ourselves—WHO invited THAT clown to speak???
Probably gonna be like the same reception i will get when i get on the stage of Farrakahn Day with MY JAParyan-looking goddess in tow…[mirror, mirror, on de wall…WHO is the Debbiest looking of them all…]BIG lecherous SMILE…..
Spike Lee is a SRAIGHT UP PUNK who is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO irrelevant in the Black community that to cite HIM as a speaker for US is tantamount to calling Goebells the *moshiach*!!! Luv you girl, but i’ll have to take a NIGGA PLEASE on this post

Wow, don’t even have a TVshow yet and already got yourself a stalker Debbie

KnightoftheImpaler on January 18, 2006 at 6:38 pm

To Knightofthelmpaler ;By her articles and such Debbie has a lot more then a simple stalker lurking.Just think of who she reports on.

danny on January 18, 2006 at 7:03 pm

Yeah, she has a lot more to worry about than obnoxious fans. Eminem’s Revenge is harmless but she’s made enemies with some real animals. She’s a very brave woman.

KnightoftheImpaler on January 18, 2006 at 7:38 pm

Debbie on the stage during Farakahn Day? Kind of odd to hear the lovely Debbie described as “aryan looking.” I know she’s blonde, but still….
For a minute there I thought “JAP goddess” had something to do with King of All Japs and Debbie, but I guess I was wrong…LOL.

The_Man on January 18, 2006 at 11:26 pm

I knew someone was gonna throw that one at her sooner or later, it was just a matter of time. Nothing shocks me anymore, everything has gone so low. As nasty as it is considering her background, she’ll probably have to get used to that when she becomes a household name. That’s how petty the political scene is these days, especially against conservatives.

KnightoftheImpaler on January 19, 2006 at 12:42 am

Deb, Spike Lee is a peanut-headed moron. His movie sucks donkey dong and should go back and film Amos and Andy. How dare he attacks Bush and I don’t like Bush…I didn’t like Kerry either.

KOAJaps on January 19, 2006 at 5:27 am

I don’t like the term ‘reverse racism’. I looked up racism on dictionary.com. Here is the definition:
racism
n 1: the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races 2: discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race.
Then I looked up ‘reverse racism’ Here is the definition:
No entry found for reverse racism.
I think it’s a foolish term. It puts the onus on white people. As if we invented racism, and now it’s our turn to be discriminated against.

NJBeachbum on January 19, 2006 at 7:07 am

This racism, that racism, the bottom line is Spike Lee is an anti-Semite who hates all things White. I think the Black community has largely lost interest in him, so the Whites don’t see his movies because it’s not the cool thing to do anymore. As a matter of fact, despite his vile remarks he owes Debbie an apology for, I’d actually say I agree more with Eminem’s Revenge’s take on Spike Lee’s significance than with hers.

KnightoftheImpaler on January 19, 2006 at 11:14 pm

Just wondering, is that jizz stain under Spike’s nose? Just wondering

KOAJaps on January 20, 2006 at 7:06 am

I agree with KnightoftheImpaler, well sort of.
I agree it doesn’t appear Lee’s movies generate much interest these days. The last I recall that had any buzz was Malcom the 10th, er Malcom X. But, that doesn’t mean he’s not the most prominent black filmmaker these days.
Race based movies just aren’t generating much buzz these days, which is more than likely the reason Spike Lee is trying the usual self promoting publicity stunts.
Say what you want about Lee, but he’s a brilliant self promoter playing on white liberal guilt.

The_Man on January 20, 2006 at 11:33 pm

He is washed up know, but he was once (undeservedly) a giant in the film industry. And his films had a very destructive influence, too. “Do the Right Thing” was influencial pouring salt on the fued between Blacks and Italians in New York City (which has largely died down because of these rappers doing bad impersonations of Mafia dons). But what’s worse, what could have been a golden opportunity to discredit the treacherous Louis Farrakhan with “Malcolm X” instead conveniently glossed over the fact that he was almost certainly behind the title subject’s murder. In fact, this is the one Spike Lee monstrosity that still unfortunately has a lingering influence today. That Denzel Washington was so good in it only makes it more damaging and repulsive.
