“Understanding”: Another Great Specimen of Muslim Exposed to America & Its People
For years, I’ve decried the mainstream media whines and conventional wisdom that more Muslim foreign students at America’s colleges and universities and more Muslim tourists means more Muslim understanding and favorable attitudes toward America.
Muslim Khan: Taliban Spokesman Was Another Muslim Exposed to America Who Hated America
As I’ve noted, it only means more hatred toward America, more terrorists in our midst who aren’t really students (remember the eleven Egyptian “students” who disappeared, some of whom were found at a terror suspect’s pizza joint?) or tourists, more criminals–like rapist/torturer Homaidan Al-Turki–and more jihadists (Turki spread jihad and was connected to an extremist bookstore, too), and they occupy more tax-subsidized college spots that should be occupied by Americans waiting to be programmed by left-wing professors.
President Bush, as I’ve noted on this site, bought into the touchy-feely BS about Muslims liking us after sitting around learning nothing with doobie-toking, Ph.D.-endowed America-haters just like them leading the classroom. He twice doubled the number of Saudi student visas just for Saudi-sponsored students, as I reported. And don’t look for that to change under Barack Obama.
I’ve always cited Sayyid Qutb as Exhibit A for the Muslim foreign students’ and tourists’ appreciation of America’s college experience. Those in the know are aware that he studied in Colorado in the fifties, when colleges were actually worth going to, and it made him hate us more. He became Osama Bin Laden’s spiritual guru and one of the most important Islamic thinkers and haters of America. He’s the father of modern Islamic extremism. Exhibit B is Al-Qaeda 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who lived here and studied at Chowan College in North Carolina.
Now, we have Exhibit C. Sort of. Swat Valley Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan,–an Al-Qaeda confidant who was captured by the Pakistani Army, last week–didn’t attend college here. But he lived in an American college town and had his opinions about America’s colleges. And some of his terrorist minions and followers did attend college in the U.S. Yup, being here really shaped his attitudes on America the way our media keeps telling us it would:
Mr. Khan, who is in his 50s, spent the late 1990s in the U.S., where he lived in Boston and painted houses for a living. He had worked in the early 1980s as a student activist for the Pakistan Peoples Party, which now rules the country, and later briefly joined one of the country’s Islamist religious parties. . . .
In an interview this spring with The Wall Street Journal, he recalled telling a friend who was attending a college in New York at the time to abandon his studies because he would learn nothing. He said the U.S. education system did nothing but spread obscenity and immorality.
In the interview, Mr. Khan called the U.S. “the source of all the trouble for Muslims.”
Oh, and his time in the U.S. didn’t endear him to the Jews, either:
The United States controls all the wealth and Jewish. The people, their money, all Jewish, the business, all are controlled by Jews.
Let’s hear it for the new Muslim understanding through exposure to America.

I remember in 1986-1972, at a small, private, expensive college (Nixon’s alma mater), muzzies would come in to register for class.
You’d never see them again, either. Not at class, not on campus, and not re-registering for the next semester…
No one said anything but I remember asking myself “What’s up with these guys?” I asked a co-worker and got this answer, “Oh, they are very rich from Saudi Arabia on our “exchange” program” I never understood what was being “exchanged” but I remember seeing one white girl with them. I was a kid, so I asked… What’s up with that girl with them? And I was told, “They are becoming married and she will move back to their country.” Yuck! She couldn’t have know what she was doing, she was only 18 yrs old… I wonder what became of that “wife”.
The muzzies always paid that huge tuition in one chunk… no payments were necessary like everyone else. But, the wealth was no lure for me. I bet it was for others…
