I remember the “Black Panther” comic books being touted back in the 1970’s – as noted, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. It was affirmative action in spades back then, too. And y’all know what they say about “the more things change” . . .

As for the “s-hole” comments: If any Whites are “responsible” for said African nations being such – but only “if any” – one factor (but only one) is liberal elitist “environmentalists” who have opposed technological modernization in the name of “saving the planet” – and to ensure the poor in those countries stay that way. Of course, this in no way excuses how the countries are run today in the very least, nor the culture that had existed long before these self-important elitists stuck their noses in.

I can’t remember what issue it was, but years (decades)ago the Avengers kicked out Hawkeye (a founding member of the group) and replaced him with the Black Panther. In the issue Hawkeye called out the group and accused them of instituting quotes. It was a very powerful issue. I can’t imagine that issue being written today !

Intellectually honest analysis and review. The review itself a pleasure to read worthy of one’s time. Interesting to see the influences movies such as this have on people. When they killed the islamic “terrorists” (that is, muslims practicing islam-proper), did the movie implicitly then give islam itself a free pass? That would be a bit like saying nazism would be okay if not for those pesky SS. I wonder.

Debbie’s movie reviews always a must-read for the insight to the influence on society. Debbie’s movie reviews head-and-shoulders above the rest.

So, a film, that, if only by the name of its hero, invokes the legacy of a bunch of cop killers, anti-Americans and anti-Semites. The name ‘Black Panther’, all by itself is enough to place this movie in the garbage dump.

And conservatives like National Review like it? Almost all conservatives condemned Roy Brooks when he was running for Senate. While Brooks certainly was characterized by missteps, his loyalty to his country was never in question. While his wife made a foolish statement about an allegedly Jewish supporter, he never practiced rabid, open anti-Semitism. Brooks supported the police, he condemned cop killers. But Black Panthers are OK to these conservatives.

What if the hero’s name was Robert E. Lee? I’m sure all these mindless conservatives would be up in arms. Just another indication that they are less than worthless, that, while calling themselves conservatives, they are supporting the Republicrats uncritically.

Don’t know anything about this movie, didn’t read Debbie’s review, don’t need to. I believe her headline, and everything she said, whatever that was, because her analysis can be trusted.

I’ve got to hand it to the left. They have come up with an ingenious, if disgusting way of attacking our country and its great heritage.

For most of the last century, the left, and its liberal supporters, while attacking this country, have supported some of the most evil men in history, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, etc. They have not liked being on the defensive to have to answer for the crimes and missteps of these individuals.

Now, with the concentration on Black Lives Matter, and other ‘victimized’ groups, the left can attack the tradition and heritage of this country without having to answer for any crimes. While most, if not all of these victimized groups, on the whole, with some exceptions, have shown a capacity to mismanage everything they touched, their follies are obscure, and like many historical events, have become somewhat ambiguous, Further, it requires serious, objective research to unearth them, something that has become rarer and rarer.

The Black Panther propaganda today falls within this new approach. It is inconceivable that the term ‘black panther’ can be used without invoking the horrendous group of the 60s and 70s, but by accessing the Panthers of the 60s by an indirect route, the perpetrators of this new attempt at fighting America believe they can avoid answering for the crimes of the Panthers. When is a Panther not a Panther? And s it coincidence that all of this is happening during the 50th anniversary year of their heydey? This subtle dig at the rest of us must have the creators of the new Black Panther laughing and laughing.

I would not expect liberal critics to call the originators of the new Panthers to order. But I am disappointed, although not surprised that most on the right are also taken in. It indicates either that they are just stupid (which of course fits many of them), or simply opportunists.

Audience photos viewing “Black Panther,” by the way, reveal everyone in the seats to be black. In a way, that’s a good thing. We white folks have our own movies. And out of the need for personal safety, we tend to stay away from films with all-black audiences.

Let’s put it this way: If you’re white person at a theater trying to enjoy a movie and you hear a group of blacks in some nearby seats noisily chattering away, just see what happens if you ask them to keep it down. You may be taking your life in your hands. Anyone else here have a similar experience?

If you’re white, see the forthcoming (2019) sequel to “Frozen.” Guaranteed, no blacks will attend. They’re not interested in Princess Elsa.

There was so much that happened last week, that I’m posting my OT summary of last week’s real events, with, of course, my own unique analysis.

After the mass murders in Parkland, Florida, the FBI thought they were again going to get away with sweeping their latest deliberate failure to lift a finger to stop a mass murderer under the proverbial rug.

The Leftists then began to salivate. They just love mass murders and this one involved children, which delighted them to no end. Why? Because they believed this presented a wonderful opportunity to pursue their anti-Second Amendment agenda. To them, more mass murders automatically means more calls for gun control, an objective far more important to them than American lives. Americans are expendable to them.

The media also spread a lot of lies about mass murderer Nikolas Cruz, claiming, for example, that he belonged to, or was involved in, some “right wing” “White supremacy” group, which was a complete fabrication. The media, of course, never apologized for lying to the American public.

But, unfortunately for the lying FBI, the DOJ, and the Leftists, a fellow by the name of Ben Bennight stepped forward to announce that he reported Nikolas Cruz to the FBI because Cruz posted an ominous threat on Ben’s YouTube Channel on September 24, 1917, months before Cruz carried out the crime that he threatened to commit in his post. To knowledgeable people, this information meant that the FBI had more than ample warning of the threat that Cruz posed to others.

In response to this, Donald Trump, Jr. “liked” a Twitter comment that basically said that the FBI couldn’t be bothered with stopping mass murders because it had far higher priorities than stopping mass murders, like pursuing an anti-Trump political agenda. FBI Director Wray tried his best to cover up for the FBI and dismissed Don, Jr.’s and the Twitter poster’s completely accurate assessment of the situation.

The FBI, caught with its pants down again, lied again, as usual, by claiming they were “unable” to track down who Nikolas Cruz was, even though there were only about 13 individuals with that name that used that specific spelling, and even though the FBI routinely tracks down individuals who post on the Internet–when the FBI wants to–by getting their IP (Internet Protocol) addresses and then tracking the locations of their computers.

Then, it got worse for the FBI. Another individual stepped forward to announce that he/she called the FBI’s hotline in January 2018 about Nikolas Cruz in January, about a month before the mass murders, and provided information that indicated that Cruz could go on a killing spree. While the FBI thought they could fool most Americans with their lies about being “unable” to track down an Internet poster named Nikolas Cruz, they couldn’t get away with lying that they didn’t know what to do when they get information about dangerous individuals via hotline callers.

So, the FBI had to fess up, just a little, and announce that FBI “protocols” weren’t followed.

The counter response of Mueller & Co and the lying DOJ leaders was to come out with their “13” indictments of Russians. Their purported crimes? They used aliases on Facebook and Twitter and then made some political comments having no bearing whatsoever on the election or to Donald Trump. In short, Mueller and the DOJ served up a Nothingburger for the American public to swallow, to attempt to distract them away from the FBI’s failures, while claiming that they were going to “perform” an internal “investigation” into who in the FBI failed to do their jobs. Like the DOJ and the FBI, who have lied to the American public repeatedly and who managed to make thousands of critical emails mysteriously vanish, could legitimately investigate themselves?

Of course, most intelligent Americans don’t trust the media, don’t trust the FBI, don’t trust the DOJ, and understand that all those groups are infested with anti-American Leftist liars. Meanwhile, all the Left can do is to engage in mental masturbation, if not the physical variety, obsessing and fantasizing about Stormy Daniels and the 13 Matryoshka nesting Russian dolls.

Promoted and praised beyond belief, but this is what the US has become. Multiple Oscar wins for a terrible movie last year and more nominations for another piece of trash this year, all because the films are written and directed by blacks. These films are not works of art, they are dreck.
But this is what the previous president has given us; a generation of people with an identity crisis. They were told for 8 years their thinking and actions were wrong, repeatedly diminished their history and achievements, and bought into it. So this generation of self hating white people, somehow believing they are less than, flock to this sub culture, it’s movie and music believing it is somehow superior and discarding their own rich history. “Black Panther” will never darken my screen

Just an FYI . . . The Black Panther character and original comic series had no connection to the Black Panther Party. The character was originally conceived by Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg) and Stan Lee (born Stanley Lieber) as Marvel Comic’s “Batman” in early 1966. The Black Panther Party did not come into existence until after the first Black Panther story was published in the summer of 1966. If anything, an argument could be made that the Black Panther Party’s leaders were inspired to assume their name from the comic book, rather than the other way around.

While both Kirby and Lee wanted to create a hero who was a black man as their idea for promoting racial equality in the super-hero biz, the original character and stories weren’t political at all. In fact, after the Black Panther Party began to make headlines, the comic book mavens attempted to distance themselves from it all by referring to the T’Challa character for a while as the “Black Leopard,” rather than the “Black Panther.”

It’s also worth pointing out that others had tried to bring the Black Panther comic series to the screen at least two decades ago, but the idea was rejected then.

There is one more aspect of Black Panther comic and movie history that bears mentioning.

During 1966, when the Black Panther comic was hatched, Black Nationalism was beginning to enter the mainstream of Black thought in this country. Malcolm X was already a martyr, and organizations like SNCC (Student Nonviolent [sic] Coordinating Committee) had raised the slogan of Black Power shortly before the first comic was released. Even if the comic had been put together before the Black Power slogan was raised, the trends were clear. And of course anti-white feelings were being manifested on a mass basis in the ghetto riots and their aftermaths.

Yet Black nationalism did not have a monopoly on Black thought. Martin Luther King was still the foremost Black leader, and Bayard Rustin and Roy Wilkins, although past their primes, still were respected and had large followings. Even three years later, Richard Nixon’s approach of Black Capitalism found significant support within the Black Community, although Black and White leftists were critical of it from the beginning.

So in creating a Black superhero, Lee had a choice, Would such a person advance separatism like Malcolm X and those influenced by him, or would such a person try to work constructively in our present society. Unfortunately, separatism won out, and today it is taken for granted that a Black superhero must be estranged from current society. But it didn’t have to be that way.

I have always been fascinated by the ingenuity and imagination of those on the left who justify the criminal actions of the leftist heroes, I have always hoped that this inventiveness could be used to society’s benefit rather than in justifying Black Panthers, Che Guevara, Muslim fanatics, etc.

Just like the feminists had their buzz cuts in a twists about the Wonder Woman movie so it’s the same with Black Panther and Black leftists. One actually wrote that Black Panther would save Black America from our evil racist President. It’s comical but that’s the way some of those people think. As for watching the flick. I’ll wait until the crowds to die down because I’m a big comic book buff and love superhero movies. My prized possessions being the fourteen issues of The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition. These babies came out in 1985 and fellow comic book geeks know what they are. Want to guest what bio I just got done reading.

Huey Newton and Bobby Seale had heard of the Lowndes Black Panther, but Stan Lee, I guess was wearing blinders, and, innocent that he supposedly was, had not heard of it.

It is naive to think that black power mouthings were not present in the Lowndes organization. The 1966 Black Power slogan did not arise out of thin air.

I skimmed Armond Whites review at National Review and he seemed to hate it. He tends to go against the consensus view a lot in his reviews. I am tempted to see this just because I can’t believe all these critics love it so much. I thought the original trailer was pretty boring and this whole Wakanda thing in third world Africa seems pretty ridiculous.

LA, I don’t believe the facts support your argument that Kirby and Lee had any intention of creating or promoting racial conflict or an anti-white reaction. None of the original stories in had any such political messages. The closest they came to that was in a story arc surrounding the T’Challa character and his fight against the KKK. And I’ve been always listing Kirby’s name first when mentioning the cartoonist team for a reason. Kirby was really the lead creator of the cartoon series, and years before the first published issue, Kirby developed a black lead character he called the Coal Tiger. While more recent writers for the series may have incorporated overt political messages, there’s no evidence of that in the early years of publication, despite Lee’s liberal inclinations.

And as for the Carolina Panthers, the lack of patriotism lately demonstrated by NFL players doesn’t make the origins of the name Carolina Panthers political. According to Panthers president Mark Richardson, son of owner Jerry Richardson, they chose the Panthers name because “it’s a name our family thought signifies what we thought a team should be—powerful, sleek and strong.” And, Jerry Richardson is far from a liberal. In fact, he was recently hit with lawsuits alleging, among other things, that Richardson is racist because he expressed a preference that black players not wear dreadlocks and made a racial slur about a black scout for the Panthers.

DAUP, I don’t think that video demonstrates anything, except the leftist bias of the editor. Regardless of what you may think of Donald Trump, regardless of whether you agree with him or not, and even regardless of whether you hate him or love him, when it comes to marketing, salesmanship, and showmanship, Trump is one of the best imaginable. That was evident in his SOTU address and it was on full display in response to the Florida mass murders.

Now, some may claim that when Obama responded to another mass murder of children that he wasn’t trying to do marketing, salesmanship, or showmanship, then you’re simply not being objective. Do you think Obama’s sad face and his attempt to make a show of whipping a tear from his eye with a finger were not the actions of an actor attempting to market a position or make a show of the tragedy? Then you’re not being objective. They both are actors and they both are engaging with varying levels of success at showmanship.

And that is my point. Trump is a far better showman than Obama ever was, even if you disagree with Trump or hate him. Debbie – another great review. When I heard about and read all the reviews of the movie being wonderful, fantastic, etc., I knew something was up. That something consisted of liberal movie critics who are afraid of being called racist. The audience score for the movie has been in the 74% to 79%, which is decent for a movie, but if the movie was as good as the movie intelligentsia make it out to be, that audience rating would be much higher, considering that many of those going to see it are black. When you hear that yes, the movie is wonderful and fantastic, but then on the other hand some of these same critics refer to the special effects and dialogue as not great, you know the fix was in. And some of the critics referred to the movie as being political.

Wakanda is an ethno-state which doesn’t allow immigration, uses it national resource of vibranium to make itself technologically superior, and has a king and not an elected representative body such as a Parliament or Congress and no prime minister or president. Isn’t this the type of country the lefties are accusing Trump of wanting? And the racial stereotype of black women being the warriors and not the men? That’s black culture in the USA which creates all these problems. Africa’s better countries were controlled longer by Europeans. The idea that Africa is in the condition it is in because of Europeans is false. But the makers of the movie are implying that Africa would be magnificent if not for those colonizer whites. Yeah, right.

Great and truthful review! I HATED this movie. Yuck. Way too long and you know it sucks when I was rooting for Kilmonger (however, the plot confused me and I didn’t even know his name…and I kept thinking he was a Wayans brother…which may have improved the borefest…) because at least he was bad-ass and really tough while the King was a real wuss. Even thou’ he was a SJW and BLM.

So lame. I agree with DS…lots of style and no substance. I started to think the flick would turn around once Michael B. Jordan took over (he wasn’t a Wayans brother after all…) but they added a wicked lame Deus ex-Machina that made me hate this long, boring slog even more. ZZZZZZZZZZZ.

OT item. I’ve previously written about the FBI’s blatant failure to protect American lives, focusing on the latest mass murder Parkland case in Florida. It’s public knowledge that the FBI had more than ample information and warnings to surveil Nikolas Cruz, but chose to do nothing. The FBI, in response, has lied repeatedly to the public about their failures. But it’s not just about CYA for the FBI.

I know that Debbie has coined the term–Famous But Incompetent–to describe the FBI, but I don’t believe that “incompetence” is the root of the problem. There are much darker, more sinister and dangerous forces at work, and you can see that clearly if you pay attention to all the facts of this latest case, as well as other mass murder cases where the FBI also did nothing to intervene.

However, I must point out that I believe that taking guns away from the law-abiding public is but one plank of the Deep State agenda that the FBI is doing its part to promote. In addition to this, the FBI has proven that it has much higher priorities than gun control alone. For just one example, when Clinton met with now-former DOJ head Loretta Lynch in the infamous tarmac meeting, rather than being concerned about the flagrant abuse that was obviously involved, the FBI’s most pressing concern was working to determine who leaked this important information, that should have been made public in any event.

In short, the real problem at the root of our national security problem, is that the FBI is a political organization, not a security organization, and the lives of Americans are totally inconsequential to their political activities.

And, if you’ve been closely following the reported news, you know that the government and the media have been working full time on the gun control agenda and only recently began to address the flagrant law “enforcement” failures until significantly later.

Since then, however, newer information has come to light that proves that Sheriff Israel and his Broward County officers also failed to do their jobs, again, with more than enough ample information and warnings of the threat to American lives. But what you don’t know and haven’t been told by the mainstream media is that they too have political priorities, and the lives of Americans are also totally inconsequential to their political activities.

Although Sheriff Scott Israel likes to pretend that he’s a Jew, at best he’s a JINO, but is probably more along the lines of a Daniel Burros JINO. (Look him up if you don’t know who he was.) Sheriff Israel is not only a Democrat, a strong gun control advocate, and strongly in favor of putting or leaving criminals on the street to carry out their criminal activities, but is also strongly pro-Islam and pro-CAIR.

Thus, the voters of Broward County bear significant responsibility for the horrendous murders in their own district. Voting has consequences. And when people vote for a pure Leftist-agenda representative like Scott Israel, they are, in effect voting for a recipe for disaster.

So, what are the real political priorities of Sheriff Israel and his team members, since protecting American lives is last on their list (if it’s there at all)?

One of their priorities has been to advance the career of Nezar Hamze. Who is Nezar Hamze? He is the Regional Operations Director and Chief Executive Officer for the Florida chapter of CAIR. Previously, he served as CAIR-Florida’s Executive Director. Currently, the Executive Director of CAIR-Florida is Hassan Shibly who, in August 2014, tweeted, “Israel and its supporters are enemies of God.” Besides CAIR, Hamze has been active in another group which is located on the United Arab Emirates terror list and operating within America, Islamic Relief.

IF, and I’m sorry I have to keep qualifying it but I do, this post ever goes up. And the reason that I do is because so few have over the past several weeks, through a few articles. With what must be going on in her life, it’s simply not fair to Debbie to bother her with it.

I want everyone who thinks anything I’ve ever said in five years on this web site is worth anything, to read what Mr. Adamo said again carefully. It is all too true.

The United States will NEVER be great again, because it, like all other empires and types of governments is prophesied to fail. Although Mr. Adamo, Debbie and others are narrating the fascinating on the ground details of the demise of “this once great republic,” this is really all written in Heaven.

The United States cannot right its ship and ultimately succeed and remain forever, because human self governance is a fatal flaw. The United States was a nice try. Perhaps even God, Jesus and the Angels clapped over the “nice try” by His children.
