President Donald Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress, last night, was his best speech ever. But there were hints–and even outright suggestions–at liberal policy. But on the other side of the aisle, the Democrats’ behavior was embarrassing and shameful.
Donald Trump did what he needed to do last night. He stuck largely to the script, and he hit his speech outta the ballpark. It was the Trump many of us hoped for when we voted for him. He was very Presidential, patriotic, and he asked Americans to dream and believe. His speech still hewed to his campaign themes of reclaiming American jobs and keeping them here as well as stricter immigration enforcement.
And his speech was moving, with the touching tribute to William Ryan Owens and the tears of his widow, Carryn, who sat with the Trump women in the House gallery. We could all feel her tears, and they moved me, at least, to tear up, too. Her husband’s service and the loss were palpable in that moment. Since her father-in-law has been a vocal critic of Trump, it will be an interesting Thanksgiving for them, this year, to be sure.
Wow, I feel for Ryan Owens' widow. Her tears moved me to cry. Her husband died a hero in service to our country. Rest In Peace #gop #SOTU

Trump’s speech was largely positive, speaking of an improved and better America with more tax cuts and jobs, more American-made products, and better national security. It was a mix of Reaganesque words and optimism, but also Trumpian protectionism.
Trump mentioned “radical Islamic terrorism,” something the media predicted he’d drop, because his new politically-correct National Security Adviser, Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, is against its use. But he used it anyway, a great contrast with Islamapologist Barack Obama. But, in truth, even that phrase–as I’ve noted repeatedly on this site–is politically correct. The problem is Islam, period. Islam is inherently radical and it–by definition–promotes and endorses terrorism. Islam equals jihad. Find me some non-Sufi mosques in America whose imams will openly condemn HAMAS AND Hezbollah. Good luck with that, bro.
Finally a President who is NOT afraid to call it what it is: Radical Islamic Terrorism. Although it's really just ISLAM #tcot #gop #islam

I cringed at Trump’s repeat embrace of liberal Ivanka’s paid family leave policy, as I did when she announced it in her speech to the Republican National Convention, last summer. That’s a giant, crushing, destructive tax on businesses, and if Trump truly wants to cut taxes, he’ll cut that rhetoric. Sadly, liberal Ivanka has his ear, and the boycott of her products has endeared her to conservatives, even though–again–she’s LIBERAL. And now we know she helped write the speech.
And then there were the Democrats. If you watched the speech and the gushing coverage of the ugly chicks in White, you were probably as annoyed as I was. It was juvenile. Um, hello, this wasn’t a costume party or P-Diddy’s White Party. It was Congress. Grow up, girls (an assumption on my part, as only your gynecologist knows for sure what you actually are, since you’re the party of trans bathrooms and trans high school girls wrestling). These women in White didn’t look like suffragettes. They looked like the Ladies Auxiliary of the Klan who took off their white hoods for the comfort of the after-party.
The several Congresschicks who did the constant “thumbs down” during the speech looked like children. Not classy. Not adult. Not Congressional. Not even close. But no faux-outrage a la Kellyanne’s pose on the Oval Office couch, because all things go for liberal Democrats . . . especially if they’re chicks.
I noticed when the Democrats didn’t stand up or even applaud during the Trump speech. First, they didn’t applaud when the President said he’d appoint judges who’d uphold the Constitution. I guess these Congressional Dems–who swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States–when they were inducted into Congress, didn’t really mean it. I also guess they don’t support the Constitution.
I noticed a lot of Democrats didn't stand up when Prez Trump said he'll appoint judges who uphold the Constitution. Hmmmm #gop #SOTU

I also noted that the Dems didn’t stand up or clap when Trump called for destroying ISIS. Um, are they supporters of ISIS? With many of them, this isn’t a sarcastic or rhetorical question. It’s a legitimate one. With Keith Ellison, Andre Carson, Nancy Pelostic Surgery, and many others, we can’t really be sure they oppose ISIS.
Hmmm, a lot of Dems didn't stand up when Trump said he'll take steps necessary to defeat #ISIS. What–are they for ISIS? #SOTU #gop #Trump

Trump called for the Muslim nations to help us fight off ISIS. Good luck with that. The Sunni Gulf States–our closest “allies” among Muslim nations–were financing ISIS. And they haven’t lifted a finger to fight it off. Shi’ite Iran, Syria, and Lebanon only fight ISIS because it is Sunni, and they favor Shi’ite Hezbollah, which ain’t much of an improvement. Hezbollah murdered many, many more Americans than ISIS ever did.
The Dems didn’t even stand up for or applaud when Trump called for that Ivanka socialism–the paid family leave and paid leave for women. This is part of their agenda. A big part of it. But they didn’t cheer it because they are so doctrinaire in their liberalism that they can’t support a non-doctrinaire neophyte Republican Prez when he embraces their agenda.
As for their response, I’m glad they opened up the crypt and trotted out that old ex-Guv from Kentucky. Can’t remember a thing he said because none of it was memorable, it sounded like an endless whine, and I wondered how a red state like Kentucky would elect a Democrat like this dude. Nothing he said would top Trump’s speech. So, it didn’t matter.
I’m also glad Trump showed a Black American and mother and daughter who are victims of the illegal alien invasion. Minorities and women–it could be argued–are the biggest victims of the lack of immigration enforcement. Illegal aliens steal jobs from inner city minorities and lower their wages. And they kill and rape women and children. While we’re all victims of this invasion, it was good PR to show those three victims sitting in the gallery. Drive the message home that liberals aren’t helping their self-proclaimed constituencies by opening the floodgates of America wide and far. The Democrats even had the gall to boo when Trump announced that a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would be dedicated to these victims of illegal aliens.
What? Did I hear some people boo Trump's new office for the rights of victims of illegal aliens? Really? Come on. #SOTU #gop #immigraiton

I was troubled by Trump opening up the door to “immigration reform,” which is code for amnesty. I hope he was just paying it lip service. We’ll see. Will he do his stricter immigration enforcement for a few months or a year and then start opening the floodgates. Let’s hope not. But the hints were there. And we must be vigilant and hold his feet to the fire to keep his campaign promises on this.
Overall, I think the speech went very far in showing the world that–despite media attempts to portray him otherwise–Donald Trump can be and is very Presidential. That he’s focused. And that he has a specific agenda he’s set on implementing.
And Navy SEAL Ryan Owens should be proud. His wife’s emotional look up to the Heavens was the moment of the speech–the most memorable of any Presidential speech to Congress. We won’t forget it or his service.

Maybe, just maybe, all these Democratic women dressed in virginal white dresses were trying out for positions as the 72 virgins promised to Muslim murderers.
MS: Ha. Since many of them match Helen tHAMAS in the “sexiness” category, they definitely could be candidates for one of the 72 Helen Thomases. DS
