Oscars Black History: Hollywood Libs Want You To Think It’s Moonlight Druggies, Not Heroic Wereth 11

By Debbie Schlussel

James Aubrey Stewart of the Wereth Eleven, RIP

Sunday’s Academy Awards show was more evidence that the real racists and bigots in America are Hollywood liberals, not Donald Trump. When it comes to Black history, liberal Hollywood wants you to think it’s the druggies of “Moonlight” and not true heroes, like “The Wereth Eleven.”

Since today is the last day of Black History Month, I have a question for you: Is Black America a community of stereotypical drug dealers, drug addicts, gangs, bullying, crime, jailbirds, and repressed gay sex . . . or is it a community of past heroism, sacrifice, and patriotism, as exhibited by the Wereth 11 in World War II? If you saw “Moonlight,” the movie which won the Best Picture Oscar at Sunday Night’s Academy Awards, you’d say it’s the first description.

Last year–when no “Black movies” or Black actors were nominated for Oscars–we heard the constant whines about “#OscarsSoWhite.” It was a bunch of baloney, since there weren’t any great “Black movies” last year, nor were there any Black actors who stood out.

So what does Hollywood and the Black establishment within it do in response? They make and slavishly promote Moonlight, a movie in which a Black kid with a drug-addicted, neglectful mother is bullied, has a drug dealer as his “father figure” (Muslim Mahershala Ali who got the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this), gets bullied, has gay sex, gets beaten up by his gay lover who is in a Black gang, grows up to be a drug dealer and convicted felon who served jail time, and revisits his gay lover–also a convicted felon and ex-con–to have more gay sex. It’s called “Moonlight” because one of the gay manual sex scenes and make-out sessions takes place on the beach under the moonlight. Awwww. Here’s a tip: Moonlight is an utter piece of garbage (and it has nothing to do with the gay aspect).

If I were Black, I wouldn’t just be offended. I’d be very angry. But not Black Hollywood and not White Hollywood (a/k/a liberals). And not even Black America. Nope. They embrace this portrayal, and–after an envelope flub–awarded it the “Best Picture.” All while they mocked Donald Trump all night as “racist” and a “bigot” (for enforcing legitimate, on-the-books immigration laws). Um, look in the mirror, schmucks.

Pretentious Best Actress awardee Emma Stone proclaimed Moonlight “one of the best movies in history.” Really? Note that this Constitutional scholar and self-proclaimed taste maker said this while wearing a Planned Parenthood pin on her Oscar gown and after having declared that President Trump’s immigration executive orders “unconstitutional” at a previous awards ceremony. Yeah, I really needed a Ninth-Grade dropout to weigh in on the legality of immigration policy.

But this is their idea of Black history and of civil rights: portraying Blacks as negative stereotypes while they pile on Donald Trump and whine for the rights of terrorists to invade the country and behead us all. Um, guess whose heads will come off first, useful idiots?

“Moonlight” is a far-left, racist depiction of Black America. And it’s meant to be an in-your-face affront to Black America, the general culture of which is not open to homosexuality. The same goes for Muslim “America” (most of whom do not identify as Americans or love this country if they were to be truthful). Yet, there is no “Al-Moonlight.” They’d never make an in-your-face gay ISIS and Hezbollah terrorists movie, with Muslims embracing it from the Oscar stage. Never ever. Muslims are too important to offend. They are the preferred religion and cultural group in America.

I contrast all of this with “The Wereth Eleven,” a 2011 documentary I recently took out of the library. It’s a little-known part of Black history–the Black history of the past, before Black Lives Matter terrorist marches and celebrations of movies like Moonlight.

The Wereth Eleven, also known as “The Lost Eleven,” were Black American soldiers, all of whom were tortured for hours before being murdered by the Nazis during World War II, outside in the freezing cold winter. They were not just victims. They were heroes. Caught by Nazis in Wereth, Belgium, they refused to denounce their country or give away information to the Nazis. And they were murdered in cold blood after they had already surrendered. Their bodies were left outside for months, buried under the snow, and not discovered until the spring thaw.

The Wereth Eleven were part of the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion–a segregated, all-Black unit of the U.S. Army during World War II. The 333rd was ultimately absorbed into the 969th Field Army Battalion, which was given a Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation–the highest honor bestowed by the President on an Army unit. They participated in the defense of Bastogne, the Battle of the Bulge, and the critical Battle of “C” Battery. When they lobbed bombs at the Nazis, they wrote the message “From Harlem to Hitler” on them. The 333rd sustained more casualties than any other 8th Field Artillery Battalion during the Battle of the Bulge. 228 of them (out of 500) were wounded, killed, or captured.

The Wereth Eleven were eleven of these men. They were freezing and were the only survivors of their smaller unit, many of whom had been killed near Schonberg, Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge. On the second day of that battle, the men, escaping the Nazis, walked ten miles and came upon a farmhouse in Wereth, Belgium. The owners welcomed them in and gave them milk and food, as they were starving. Soon, however, the Nazis found the house. Because the men did not speak French or Flemish, they could not understand the farmer’s instructions to sneak out the back door, and they were captured by the Nazis. Even though the men surrendered, they were brutally tortured and massacred by the members of the Nazi 1st SS Panzer Division, because they were American and because they were Black. The Nazis burned cigarettes on their faces, broke their bones, gouged their eyes out, and let them suffer and moan in agony, until they finally shot and killed them.

Today, the Wereth Eleven are memorialized with a small monument in Wereth. It bears mentioning that–while Black anti-Semitism keeps rising and the Black Lives Matter movement has embraced many anti-Semitic causes, including anti-Israel sentiment–the memorial was created and paid for not by anyone in Hollywood, Black America, or Wereth, but by a Jewish man, Norman Lichtenfeld. The Wereth Eleven documentary was also made and produced by a Jewish man, Joseph Small–also not a Hollywood guy.

As I watched the Academy Awards ceremony and Moonlight get the Best Picture nod, just a few days before the end of Black History Month, the message was clear. Hollywood doesn’t want Blacks to be proud that they were and are part of America a la The Wereth Eleven. With Moonlight, Hollywood wants Blacks to feel that they are the outcasts in America.

Liberals don’t care about true Black history, like the Wereth Eleven and their heroism. They only care about pushing an agenda to divide us with race merchantry and take down not only Black culture, but American culture as well.

Expect more pieces of garbage like Moonlight. And nothing about the Wereth Eleven.

To them, patriotism isn’t important. And America is the enemy.

They don’t want Black Americans to feel included and be proud about their contributions to traditional institutions and war victories.

It simply doesn’t fit into the liberal agenda of destroying America from within.

The Left wants Blacks to be victims as they are in Moonlight, not heroes and proud Americans as they were in real life at Wereth.

***

The Wereth Eleven were:

* Curtis Adams of South Carolina;

* Mager Bradley of Mississippi;

* George Davis Jr. of Alabama;

* Thomas Forte of Mississippi;

* Robert Green of Georgia;

* James Leatherwood of Mississippi;

* Nathaniel Moss of Texas;

* George Motten of Texas;

* William Pritchett of Alabama;

* James Stewart of West Virginia; and

* Due Turner of Arkansas.

G-d bless them all and their families and may they rest in peace. They are the real Black history that Hollywood should be promoting.

My theory about why liberals are now trashing Black America is to pander to both Muslims and Hispanics, who are growing voting blocs. Blacks aren’t.

The racist in your face message has everything to do with politics and like the Jews, for the Left, blacks can easily be left at the roadside when circumstances change.

And with “Moonlight” they have finally arrived.

NormanF on February 28, 2017 at 2:58 pm

Lots of reasons “Moonlight” is garbage.”

That its a racist movie like “Birth Of A Nation” is one of them.

So much for Black History Month.

NormanF on February 28, 2017 at 3:06 pm

LGBT black movie shows the demoralization of our nation. I remember when black people, as a race, actually seemed more holy than many white people. Not any more!

Uncle Sam on February 28, 2017 at 3:14 pm

    Blacks are not “more holy” than us. Never have been.

    BTW, “La La Land” deserved the Oscar, not to mention “Hell or High Water,” “Hacksaw Ridge,” and (though not nominated) “Patriots Day,” “Sully” and “Hail Caesar!” Hooray for Hollywood!

    “Moonlight,” however, is not my kind of film.

This is very nice Debbie. Thank you for the learning.

Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown are the ones who are celebrated as heroes and martyrs now.

Worry01 on February 28, 2017 at 3:53 pm

Those men, who died so horribly, deserve the honors heaped upon the misfits and gang bangers celebrated by Hollywood.

Worry01 on February 28, 2017 at 4:00 pm

If anything the “Affirmative Action Academy Awards” showed the president and the American public just how out of touch the entertainment elite really are. My choice “Hacksaw Ridge” was just too patriotic, inspiring and faith based for those fools, true film excellence.

Frank B on February 28, 2017 at 4:05 pm

    Then how do you explain “Hacksaw Ridge” getting nominated in the first place? In any case, that was directed by Mel Gibson, not exactly one of Debbie’s personal favorites. Perhaps you can explain this.

    Primetime on February 28, 2017 at 6:38 pm

And yet, Michael Brown, and Freddie gray, get mourned by Hollywood actors. RIP to the WWII heroes of all races :'(

And all eleven from the South.

Very interesting and educational post.

It is interesting that Mahershala Ali is being called the first Muslim actor to win best actor. He belongs to the Ahmadiyya sect which is not considered Muslim by any other sect. The founder of the sect claimed to be both the Mahdi that muslims are waiting for and the Messiah that the Jews are waiting for(as well as the awaited one of any other religion he could tack himself onto). Members of this sect are actually not allowed to enter Mecca because Saudi Arabia does not consider them Muslims.

I have noticed that Fox news often interviews the same ‘Muslim expert’ especially on O’Reilly’s show and fails to mention that he leads an Ahmadiyya mosque in California(I believe it is California). Their beliefs are so different that I find it odd they have chosen this person as their expert. The sect is basically considered an offshoot of Islam by almost all Muslims they same way they believe the Bahai faith is an offshoot of Islam(that is a debate for another day).

This year a movie about gay blacks wins.

Next year a predict the winner to be for a movie about a gay, transgender, Muslim climatologist that is persecuted by evil corporate America for trying to warn them about climate change.

Oh, and the bad guy will, of course, be Jewish.

It seems as though the liberals, for at least the last century, have had an exaggerated respect and admiration for the thugs and criminals of history: Stalin, Mao, Castro, Arafat, Chavez, etc.

The druggies of Moonlight are the incarnation of this. So we have a twofer: an attempt to keep Blacks out of the mainstream and in protest mode, and the glorification of those who are the opposite of what anyone with sense would want to aspire to.

Little Al on February 28, 2017 at 4:59 pm

Yeah Hollywood’s agenda about the Black gay thing is weird. They celebrate Lee Daniels and Shonda Rhines as the second coming, all the shows that both produce are filled with nothing but gay sex. A lot of it it too. Hollywood is in love with these two and now Moonlight and the guy above is right, Black morals and sexuality is digressing at an alarming rate

MrBigBrain on February 28, 2017 at 5:06 pm

Hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, HOLD the BUS!!!

Back in the 80’s, we were told (by the “black community”) that there would be NO MORE portrayals of blacks as drug users, dealers, thugs, criminals, bus drivers, janitors, no more Stepinfechit type characters, that white America had controlled the theme of American cinema by foisting a negatively portrayed stereotype of blacks in these, and ONLY these type of roles, and therefore, that was OUT.

What happened? That’s all you got? I say that last part in jest, because of two guys I can think of right here, regular Americans who don’t hold to that stereotype at all, KenB, and MrBigBrain. I know, and have known of plenty others.

I’ve mentioned George Washington Carver before. Was he any less of a genius than Einstein? And even if he was, who cares, he was brilliant, and is still affecting our lives today!!!

I KNOW that black America has a lot more to offer than roles we were told 30 years ago they would no longer be portrayed as in American cinema.

Is everything upside down and ass backwards, or . . .

did I get some bad weed?

As far as “Moonlight” is concerned, I seem to remember a two-fer from the racist-eugenicist Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger: besides advocating abortion to weed out so-called “unwanted” peoples (meaning African-American), I read somewhere that she also endorsed the promotion and spread of homosexual behavior as another means to reduce a society’s fertility rates. (The Left certainly seeks to spread homosexuality in order to dilute and weaken society’s moral fabric, for sure.) In a sense, promoting homosexuality among African-Americans seems to be another means by One World globalist social engineers, of killing off the Black population by attrition.

The “Moonlight” title itself, though, seems more appropriate for a zombie horror flick.

First of all Debbie I thank you so very much for this bit of WWII history. I wish that there was a way for me to meet you in person so that I could shake your hand give you a hug or both. That’s because after taking History and West Virginia Studies in middle school, American History and World History in high school and this is the kicker The History of Wars from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War in college NOWHERE were these brave men mentioned. Second of all as a Black Conservative I’m madder than Rosie O’Donnell in a room full of Weight Watcher food or Arianna Grande in a room full of locked up donuts at the fact that “Moonlight” stole the best picture Oscar from “La La Land.” I didn’t watch the Oscars but I did see the final clips on the news about how the Academy screwed up the Best Picture Award. That was priceless in the fact that they bowed to political correctness once again. The contrast couldn’t have been so stark. Here we were in Black History Month with the usual Hollyweird crowd celebrating the fact that they can reward a film about a Black homosexual drug dealer. All the while making fun of and disparaging patriotism and love of country. Liberal Blacks for their part are still stuck on stupid as they would celebrate the same crap but never a group of Black soldiers like the Wereth 11. Racist bottom feeders like BLM, Sharpton, Jackson, Mad Maxine Waters and Farrakhan would rather keep Blacks as victims instead of uplifting them by making sure that as a young boy growing up in West Virginia I’d know what a great man and patriot James Stewart was. But they didn’t so that’s why they will forever earn my scorn and ridicule. This is also why the celebutards in Hollywood La La Land will always be the butt of my jokes. They come out with blatant support for Clinton and lecture us about the state of the country. They brag about how they want to do those who supported Trump harm. These are the same people who wouldn’t have the guts to make a move about those 11 patriots. They can keep on making crap movies and patting themselves on the back if they want to. If the latest ratings for this past award show is any indication real America is getting sick of their arrogance. Liberal Blacks in this country can go on and continue to celebrate movies like “Moonlight”. They can also keep thinking that Trump is a racist pig and think that it’s ok that the life of Clarence Thomas doesn’t belong in the DC Smithsonian of Black History. All it will do is keep them ignorant and angry. Which is I guess the liberal’s goal in the first place.

Ken B on March 1, 2017 at 11:34 am

If they weren’t liberal and angry, they would have no lives. That’s tough to look at in the mirror.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on March 1, 2017 at 2:21 pm

And they took Amos and Andy off the air. One of the funnest Tv shows ever. Amos and Andy had every good black characters in it who were lawyers, judges, policemen and good role models. Of course there was the Kingfish always trying to trick Andy, but it was pure fun. We still watch Amos and Andy shows and enjoy the comedy.
