Dear Debbie: Advice to a Jewish Trump Supporter About Dealing w Her Liberal Family

By Debbie Schlussel

jewsfortrumptrumpishitler

What do you tell a person who is bright and conservative (usually one and the same but not always), how to deal with a family that is entirely liberal? I get requests for advice on every topic imaginable, even though I’m not an advice person because I don’t deign to know better than you how to live your life. Still, I’m honored that readers and others would think highly enough of me to solicit my views. Below is an exchange with someone seeking my advice two days before the election. It is ever relevant even though the Presidential election is over, as politics and the Presidential transition are still all over the place and the unhinged liberals cannot handle the results. I think you’ll enjoy this advice I gave to a Jewish Trump supporter, though it could be any Trump supporter of any ethnicity and/or religion.

Subject: What To Say To Liberal Family Members Who Bring Up Trump At Shabbat Dinners
To: Debbie Schlussel writedebbie@gmail.com

Hey Debbie,

Hope you’re doing well.

I’m curious if you ever have to deal with liberal family members who insist on bringing up Trump and Hillary.

It’s been happening to me. I have an older sister who is a social worker for the public schools where I live. So you could say she’s for the underdogs. And she’s very very pro choice (even though she’s in her late 50’s).

Anyway, during these last two Shabbat dinners at my mom’s apartment she brought up the election. And she was like “I hope Trump doesn’t win. He’s such a buffoon, blah blah blah.

Then this last Friday night she came with her other social worker friend [name redacted] who asked me why I like Trump. And I started to say that Hillary would definitely increase the number of Syrian “refugees” in this country by like 500%. This [named redacted] wouldn’t let me finish. She was like “no aside from that…”

Now between the two of us, this business of importing more America, Jew hating Muslim terrorists into this country is not something to be brushed off. Trump at least put it out in the open when he first said he would ban Muslim immigration (even though he’s been waffling on it.) Personally, I don’t want to see American become like Europe. I don’t want it to get to the point where Americans become desensitized to the terrorism. And that’s what will happen if Hillary gets into the White House.

Anyway, my sister then said that what’s happening in Syria is a genocide, and that as Jews we should be especially sensitive to that fact.

So I told her that what’s going in Syria is just Muslims killing each other like they always do. And that to call it a genocide would be an insult to all the Holocaust victims/survivors. At this point I started to lose my cool because I can’t stand to see Jews going about their lives to these terrorists.

Then my young niece jumped in about how she’s pro choice and that no man has a right to tell her what to do with her body.

What do you say to family members like this?

Anyway, that’s the end of my rant.

Regards,

[Name redacted]

My response:

I basically don’t talk to and have nothing to do with these type of family members, though fortunately I have very few. These people are morons and exasperating and you’ll never convince them or get them to reason. You are either born with the ability to develop critical thinking skills or you aren’t. 80% aren’t. And sadly, some Jews (not all)–including your liberal family members–are not immune to being part of the 80%. Also, remember that 80% of the Jews refused to go with Moses out of Egypt. What became of them? We’ll never know. But we have plenty like them today. My advice is not to talk politics with them. Otherwise, you will be frustrated to no end. To date, there is no such thing as a brain transplant, so these people are beyond help. If they were on their way to their beheadings at the hands of Muslims–which their descendants who are not aborted surely will be–then, it will be too late. And even then, they will probably be spouting this BS about Muslim jihadists being akin to Holocaust survivors. And speaking of the Holocaust, these people are the same as the other Jews who told the community, don’t worry, the trains are just taking us to a resort weekend, as they drove them on their way to become ashes at Auschwitz. You cannot fix stupid. It’s lonely being smart. I know this doesn’t help much, but still . . . I hope I helped.

DS

[I should add, as I’ve said on this site and on radio interviews before, this business of comparing my Holocaust victim relatives to Muslim jihadists who will impose their extremism on America, is just disgusting. Jews fleeing Europe or trying to never flew planes into buildings, never shot up gay clubs, never shot up Christmas parties of those who just threw them a baby shower, never shot up American military bases or marathons, etc., etc. ad nauseam. We Jews have been part of this country since before the beginning of it, fighting in every war, including the Revolutionary War. And we have always assimilated into the American culture. In contrast, Muslims insist that American culture assimilate to them and their intolerance and backward values. This constant moral equivalence of Jews to Muslim extremists is just sickening.]

She wrote back:

Thanks Debbie.

Now speaking of Jews, what do you think of some of these right wing religious ones who are never Trumpers? One guy insists that Trump is even worse than Hillary who he still admits is a vicious Jew hater.

Thanks.
[Name redacted]

My response:

People like that are no different than the ones in your family who are liberal morons. Morons come in many different stripes. I cannot stand them, no matter the stripe. Be proud that you are among the 20% or fewer who actually have a brain and use it to the full capacity. Like I said, the majority of people do not and are complete idiots. Even some of the Trump supporters aren’t that smart, but those are a smaller portion, relatively speaking. Most Trump supporters know the issues and what’s important. We know Trump isn’t perfect, but he’s by far the better choice of the two. It’s not even close. It’s a no-brainer. But like I said, sadly, far too many people, in fact, have no brain.

Her:

Thanks Debbie. I so want Hillary to lose just to see the heads of all these libs explode.

Me:

I do, too. For that and a lot of other reasons. Sadly, I think Trump will lose. I hope I am wrong. Like I said, the masses are morons. And if the masses vote, that’s a problem. We’ll see. Keep hoping and definitely vote!

As we all know now, my prediction was, very fortunately, wrong. And we got to see a lot of heads explode. They’re still exploding, which says a lot. I’m sure her Shabbat dinners with her family won’t be any less contentious or condescending (on the part of his liberal relatives) though.

I wanted her to know she is not alone, but it is, indeed, lonely being intelligent in a cesspool of idiots. But even though she may be lonely when sitting among the stupid wolves parroting the BS lines they’ve been taught, she really isn’t alone. Many of us think like her, but we just aren’t there are the dinner table to answer her family members.

The good news is that several polls I’ve seen show that this time around, 30% of Jews voted for Trump, so things are getting better. I suspect the number might even been higher.

The even better news is that the American electorate looks a lot different than it did in the last several Presidential elections. Let’s hope it stays that way and that Trump keeps his promises to tamp down on massive Muslim immigration.

Now is the hard part: we must hold Trump’s and the GOP Congress’ feet to the fire. They have no excuses now.

I believe that how Trump acts in the future will have a significant impact on how Jews vote in the future. For example, in the past, a lot of liberal Jews have bemoaned Israel’s new “settlements”–which should be called homes, arguing that Israel’s actions were an impediment to peace. Yet, those same liberal Jews failed to recognize that Israel HAS yielded in the past to US pressure and stopped the building of homes, what was Israel’s “reward?” More terrorism and war.

If Trump pursues a path of much stronger support for Israel encouraging Israel to demonstrate strength, instead of weakness, I believe that Israel will start to experience more peace. Those results will be hard for the liberal Jews to ignore–though, unfortunately, not impossible.

Meanwhile, here’s some quotes from Jews about the Trump victory. (I give the source of the quotes below.)

“The good news is the revolution we’re going through is a bloodless one so far. It is being fought with ballots not bullets.”

“Clinton wanted to sell the country to the highest bidder so she could have $200 million in the bank,” said Eugene Greenstein, 70, a retired engineer from Detroit, Michigan.

Rabbi Pini Dunner, the spiritual leader of an Orthodox synagogue in Beverly Hills, said he was looking forward to a new U.S. approach in the Middle East. The election “will certainly have struck fear into Islamic radicals, and radical governments in the Middle East who know that he is not frightened to take action if it’s the better interest of the United States and of…Israel.”

I agree with your advice. I stopped a few years ago speaking to liberals who are so dogmatic that you cannot have a rational discussion with them.

I would say, though, that it is not simply a question of intelligence. Sometimes emotion overcomes intelligence. This is one of the reasons that headway cannot be made with them. No rational idea or thought can overcome a solid emotional dislike of conservatives. This is a key reason why whenever you say something to them, they come back with some type of rejoinder, irrational though it may be.

It is sad though, to see grown people on such a primitive emotional (and, often intellectual) level.

Uh. My entire family is “progressive” meaning beyond liberal. I disowned them 25 years ago. Since I am Estate Planning, I reconnected to see if there are any changes. They are just stupider. So, I updated my a Will just to make certain I don’t end up financing stupidity. IOW, I excluded them from my estate.

Don’t fund liberals. It’s a mental disease. I let them know that they are not included in my wealth distribution at death. And, I am rich. They are poor, of course. Well, there goes their last opportunity to have anything. LOL

    Dear Mr. Hicks:

My parents, may they both rest in peace, were not crazy.

Miranda Rose Smith on November 10, 2016 at 10:28 pm

A mental disease does not mean you are crazy, e.g. anorexia nervosa is a mental disease (disorder) where the victims have a distorted body image. Same thing with this stupid ‘transgender’ crap, there is no such thing, it is a mental disorder, no matter what body parts you cut off and hormones you take, you remain the gender you were born with, XX or XY. I could go on pointing out more mental disorders or diseases, but I think you get the idea. I agree with Mr. Hicks, Liberalism is a mental disease/disorder that just hasn’t made it into the PC DSM.

Marianne on November 11, 2016 at 10:59 am

Marianne, you and Mr. Hicks are indeed correct. When I first read this column, before anyone commented even, I KNEW MRS would castigate someone saying that about Libtardism. She is predictable and has been doing it for years…over a decade even.

She knows what spirit it is said in yet still brings her deceased parents in the mix when someone criticizes Libtardism. Yet she never edifies post-ers here. Only snobbishly castigates. It’s rare but long-going and of course tiresome. I have ZERO respect for foolish Libtards. Just sayin’…and always will no matter whose parents were proud Libtards (my Dad was one…)…

My parents should also both rest in peace, and I pray they rise to acceptance in The Kingdom at the time of The Judgment. There is no question of my love for them. But they were both half-whack jobs. One was an absolute liberal, no question. The other was a strange combination of a Komrade and a Nazi, definitely no conservative, although with conservative leanings on certain issues.

I agree with Mr. Hicks. Mental disease should not be funded. My mother left me nothing, and that’s okay with me. My father left me practically nothing, along with a blessing wrapped in a mess. But I got more than enough from each of them during their lifetimes. And the blessing my father left me is worth wading through the mess for. But they were each half a whack job. The truth is the truth.

1/2 a whack job + 1/2 a whack job = ME

ROTFLMAO!!!

The advice you gave was entirely sound. I would actually avoid such relatives, if possible. Holidays and special occasions should not be stressful affairs. If your relatives or so-called friends make them a misery, why bother with them? They can parrot their banalities to one another without you having to endure it. It is also very rude of any relative or friend to insist that you discuss something that you obviously uncomfortable with. I would consider it an unfriendly or hostile act.

The above letter is interesting because the subject matter has been analyzed and pondered over by writers, scholars , theologians and SOME… religious leaders from time immemorial .

The American Jewish left is the product of a spiritual vacuum. It is a decadent movement of the directionless, of the neurotically unhappy needing validation and narcissists clamoring for attention. It has no real challenges to grapple with and so it immerses itself in borrowed sufferings and ennobles itself by lecturing and vehemently disparaging others. This is foremost in almost every worthless Jewish group (e.g. AJC , ADL, JNF ,WJC etc.) There is nothing Jewish about the Jewish left. That is the whole point. It is a guilt ridden, weak , pandering amalgamation and over abundance of hypocritically, moronic , guilt ridden people who want nothing to do with Israel, have no deep rooted feelings about commandments or the “special” relationship they were given with the God. Essentially, they are the most unbelieving of any group of people . Even the secular founders of the state of Israel had a sense of PRIDE in being a Jew. Not so anymore. “The American Jew has made “God in its own image”. (Meir Kahane).

Generations of American Jews whose sole existence has been in living in the ” Galut” have been indoctrinated to think of left-wing ideas as elementally Jewish. Most … no ALL of these people would not know a Jewish value if they fell over it! They are unaware of any conflict between their ideas and their origins. Thank God That finally , to many Israeli Jews, left-wing agendas have become literally dead in its tracks.
In short, the letter above is an ALL to common one that unfortunately, is part of the phenomena of the “Hellenistic” Jewish way of thinking and is ultimately a puzzle and a venture into supreme futility!

The Muslin can move the 50 plus Muslim states.

Hebrews were not allowed to return to their ancestral homeland in the before the WWII because of Muslim.

There have been plenty of countries that Muslim captured and forcibly converted to Muslim countries.

There should be a complete Cordon sanitaire around Muslim countries.

If we are attacked by terrorist attack we should wipe these countries out.

Hi Debbie
You may want to point them to Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert.

He predicted a Trump landside August 2015 based on Trump’s skill as a Master Persuader.

During the past few days he tells about how to persuade a Clinton Supporter.

W: EEUUWW! Scott Adams is an overrated, has-been cartoonist and liberal struggling to stay relevant by now pretending to have common sense. Anyone who mistakes his turn for Trump after supporting Hillary first and liberals for years is a fool (and, sadly, there are a lot of them out there, who fallen for his phony act and somehow think he’s a conservative–he isn’t). He’s as creepy (beyond belief) and arrogant (for no due reason) as they come, not to mention a total geek who isn’t to be paid attention to unless you just don’t have a clue (and he will make you even more clueless). Not long ago, he dumped his wife so he could shtup some gross, plastic surgery victim internet model blow-up doll who could be his granddaughter. (He also took video of him and this bimbo watching the debates. Ugh.) Do NOT pimp that fraud on my site again. And please, WAKE THE HELL UP on him. Scott Adams is an IQ test for supposedly conservative males. If you’re his fanboy bitch, you failed. DS

Debbie, I’ll be honest, I try my very best to not engage in political discourse or debate with any of my family members, because I know where they stand politically, and they also know where I stand on political and ideological issues as well.

Irrespective though, my brother-in-law and myself both voted for Donald Trump on Tuesday, and he was a Trump supporter a little longer than myself (I became a Trump supporter in February of this year).

And finally, on Wednesday after the election, my mother and myself had a little dialogue with the event, to her own credit despite her being a Clinton supporter, my mother was very critical on the folks at the Clinton headquarters for crying and being WAY too dramatic due to she lost the election. And my mother also said that she hopes that Donald Trump turns out to be a good and successful president where it’ll be a beneficiary for this country!

Adam on November 13, 2016 at 9:42 am

One important factor affecting the liberal Jewish votes for Clinton, but rarely discussed in a thoughtful manner, is the fact that many white supremacists and/or Judeophobes (the two usually go together) have supported Trump. There is a lot of ignorance on this subject on both the part of liberals as well as the Judeophobes. Thus, one of them might pose the question: How could Debbie Schlussel, a proud Jew and supporter of Israel, possibly favor DJT, the same as David Duke, an avowed hater of Jews and Israel?

While I’m sure that Debbie would have her own answer to this, I’d like to offer my own. My answer is simply that Duke’s support for Trump over Clinton is based on misinformation and disinformation whereas Debbie’s stance is not.

Duke, for example, points to the fact that many of Clinton’s wealthiest campaign donors are Jews (at least officially). And he’s right about that specific point. Among Clinton’s fervent supporters have been Paul Singer, Dustin Moskovitz, George Soros, James Simons, Irwin Jacobs, Eli Broad, Haim Saban, and David Geffen. Some of these names you may know; some you may not. But trust me, all of these individuals are extraordinarily wealthy Jews. So, given Duke’s one-track (and wrong-track) mind, since Paul Singer, who purports to be interested in Israel’s national security, was one of the leading financiers of the “Stop Trump” movement, he proceeds to the illogical conclusion that Trump must be anti-Israel, and Clinton is pro-Israel.

But Duke does not really know or understand what Singer’s or Haim’s actual views are on Israel. The fact is that the top wealthy Jewish contributors to Clinton favor giving away more land to the so-called Palestinians and they favor the two-state “solution.” Thus, in the case of individuals like Singer and Haim, they are in part supporting Clinton because they falsely believe that the answer to terrorism is giving in to the terrorists’ wishes. And further, based on my own discussions with some exceptionally wealthy Jews supporting Clinton and professing to support Israel, when pressed, some of them will even admit that Israel is really not that important to them. Others so-called Jewish backers of Clinton, like Soros, make no pretense whatsoever of supporting Israel or Judaism.

Duke and his supporters will also point out how the media has been biased against Trump and in favor of Clinton. Once again, on that specific point, they are correct. But they again reach the illogical conclusion that the reason the media has this bias is because they maintain that the media is controlled by Jews. They assert that because Jews are big players in show business (yes, they invented Hollywood, created Broadway, and had major roles in the development of TV and the Internet), that they must also control the media. This argument is not only illogical, but it’s false.

The most powerful players in the mainstream media today are GE, News Corp, Disney, Viacom, Time Warner, CBS. Of these powerhouses, only Viacom has a significant and influential ownership interest by a Jew, Sumner Redstone. But Redstone, for all his wealth and substantial influence in the company, still does not control Viacom. Plus, Viacom is mostly in the entertainment not the news business. And yes, some of the media giants may even have some Jews occupying the executive suite from time to time, but, as I’ve suggested earlier, there’s a reason for that. And that reason is that some of the best managers of show business operations happen to be Jewish. But it’s not because they are Jewish that they’ve been hired to run things. It’s because they know how to run those businesses profitably. It’s in the blood of some Jews, just like some of the greatest minds in finance (e.g., Nobel prize winners in economics) happen to be Jews. But the bottom line is that Jews do not control or dictate the news policies of those media giants.

I don’t want to belabor this point, but the fact is that the David Dukes of this world and their supporters are clueless about corporate control. And they are blind to the facts. Hopelessly so.

Thus, Duke and his supporters don’t know what to make of the extraordinarily wealthy Jews that have supported DJT, such as Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, Carl Icahn, and Seth Klarman. Adelson, in particular, has clearly expressed not only his support for Israel, but has backed many of its causes with substantial sums of money. And, most important of all, he is what the mainstream media calls a “hawk” on Israel, since has strongly argued against any two-state “solution.” In short, he shows every indication of being in favor of a strong Israel, rather than a land giveaway advocate.

Similarly, Duke and his supporters don’t understand the real views of the Clintons on Israel. While they will correctly point out that Hillary Clinton will say one thing on an issue publicly, when she holds an opposing view privately, when it comes to her public stance supporting Israel, why then they argue she’s being 100% truthful, even though some of her private emails prove that she’s not. Then they will argue that she must be telling the truth to the public in the case of Israel because she’s received money from people like Singer and Haim; so we’re back to that circuitous argument. And, of course, they totally ignore that the Saudis have long been backers of the Clintons. They have to do that because Judeophobes subscribe to the view that: “If the facts don’t fit, you must omit”–to modify a line attributed to OJ Simpson’s lawer Johnny Cochran.

Ralph Adamo on November 11, 2016 at 5:48 pm

Debbie, can you tell me how any Jew can support Donald Trump? Just last Monday he had verified Jew-hater Ted Nugent open his show in Michigan (the guy who railed about “Jew York City” earlier this year). And his recent ad about “global elites” (Yellen, Blankfein, and Soros) was obviously anti-Semitic.

Trump’s “White House” will be a curious mix of anti-Jewish alt-righters and Trump’s own self-hating Jewish daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared.

Then there’s Trump’s son, Donald, Jr., who tweets a re-packaged version of Julius Streicher’s “skittles” analogy. Jr.’s wife had a Jewish father, but he never mentions that so as to not make his white supremacist friends angry.

In short, this is going to be the most openly anti-Semitic administration in recent American history, even beating Richard Nixon’s, who at least was mostly private about it.

Bee on November 11, 2016 at 7:50 pm

B: I already effectively addressed your question of why Jews would vote for Trump by referencing David Duke, who is an extreme Judeophobe. So you can read my earlier post on that subject. As for Ted Nugent, Debbie knowsall about Nugent and has written an entire article about him and his infamous post. And the Washington Post has even quoted some of comments about Nugent. If you want to read her original article, use the “Search” button on her website and type in “Ted Nugent.” And if you want to read the WP article, Google “Schussel” and “Nugent” and “Washington Post.”

However, I take a someone different stance on Nugent and would not put him in the same basket as Duke. Duke’s one note samba is that all evils in the world can be traced to Judaism. That puts him in the same basket as Hitler. Nugent also has a one note samba, but his is the Second Amendment. But like Duke, he applies the same lack of logic and intelligence when he reached his false conclusions that Jews want to destroy the Second Amendment and that the Jews who favor gun control are ardent Zionists.

Like the Duke canard that the Jews control the media that I discussed in my earlier post, there is a little bit of truth in Nugent’s infamous post. And that little truth is that many leading liberal/leftist Jews are gun control advocates.

However, those same liberal/leftist Jews are not supporters of a strong Israel and they favor land giveaways and the so-called “two State solution.” In short, their approach to Israel is to not do anything that might upset the terrorists and that if we (America and Israel) give in to their demands they will like us more and give up their terrorist ways.

So, when Nugent posted his message using photos of some prominent Jews who favor gun control, his simultaneous use of the Israeli flag next to each picture was false, drawing a connection when one does not exist, and was effectively Judeophobic. Some Jews have attempted to set Nugent straight on this point, and I think they’ve been successful. It’s not their “Jewishness” nor affinity for Israel that is the connection to gun control; it’s their leftist politics. And I believe that they’ve been successful in their efforts, as I don’t think that Nugent will not be posting such stuff again.

As for the other purported “anti-Semitic” accusations regarding Trump’s campaign, see the following article: http://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-campaign-fires-back-at-adl-over-ad-criticized-for-anti-semitic-tones/

Also, as I’ve suggested in my earlier post, Trump has a unique opportunity to forge an entirely new opportunity for Jews and Israel, as well as for his overall agenda. IMO, that means eschewing not only leftist leaning Jews, but also the so-called “Neo-Con” Jews. IMO, the Jews from either Establishment groups should be avoided, and, in fact, Establishment types throughout his cabinet should be avoided altogether. Who Trump appoints to key posts will in large part determine whether Trump will really move in the direction of making America great again.

I put up a troll baiting post a couple hours ago, that didn’t go through. But while we’re on the topic of Muslims, now that it’s after midnight, it’s the 15th anniversary of Flight 587. That and Flight 800 are two that I don’t buy the explanations for.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on November 12, 2016 at 12:04 am

30% Jewish vote for Trump is pathetic . Trumps stand on Muslim immigration alone should have gotten him the majority of the Jewish vote. Throw in Trumps energy independence stance , attainable now due to fracking. Think of the USA not sending billions of dollars a year to those Beverly hillbillies oil sheiks .
For a people with the highest average IQ it puzzles me.

A Charles Martel fan on November 12, 2016 at 6:51 am

Don’t let it puzzle you. There is no making sense of the mentally ill. That’s why it’s called mental illness.

Smart as always Debbie

Art Escandon on November 12, 2016 at 3:48 pm

Thanks for that advice Debbie. I’m in the same boat as this person who wrote you. I was all in for Trump and my relatives were and still are SO condescending.

Hillel on November 12, 2016 at 10:57 pm

Debbie, you mentioned we Jews relationship to America from before its founding.

A question arises if one is a Jew first or an American first.

I say here that I am a Jew first and an American second. That is because this great country of America that I love, its laws, its values, its culture, “In God We Trust”, its Supreme court, would not have come into existence if it were not for our people.

But don’t expect that proud answer on both counts from most others.

Phil Lipofsky on November 13, 2016 at 10:13 am

Oh, and btw, when Allen West was running for Congress against my fellow Jew and incumbent Ron Klein in District 22, I was one of the grunts working for West. I was loading my work van with Allen West signs and stuffing them in the road-ways, I was working in the campaign office as a grunt on the computers doing data entry, and a bit of planning as well. I was putting the black Christian man into office over my fellow Jew. That is because Allen West was the better choice for America.

So nobody can hang prejudice on me. And no, I do not vote a straight party ticket either.

And btw, I understand that 90% of lily-white Lighthouse Point voted for Allen West also.

Nitwit comment of the year in response Trump winning the election:

“I feel like I did after 9/11.”–Robert De Niro.

Ralph Adamo on November 13, 2016 at 10:03 pm

THAT, Mr. Adamo, was EXACTLY what you said. What a maroon.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on November 14, 2016 at 12:07 am

Thanks, Alfredo, and can you imagine the media response if, say (for argument’s sake), Tom Brady had said that if Clinton had won? But De Niro gets a free pass from media.

Ralph Adamo on November 14, 2016 at 3:04 pm

Yes, agreed totally, from the time I saw that DeNiro had said that. What a knee jerk lefty. I knew he was probably not conservative, but he’s even older than I am, and that was just plain stupid of him, and totally without critical thought processes.

“It’s in the blood of some Jews, just like some of the greatest minds in finance (e.g., Nobel prize winners in economics) happen to be Jews.”
First Hebrews have won at least 30% of the true Scientific Nobel prizes (Physic, Chemistry and Medicine).
Second I think economic is mostly BS and has very little to be successful in business. Understanding how the economy works is different than BS University economics.

madman on November 14, 2016 at 9:46 am

M, I’m sorry that you feel that economics is a BS subject. This is a common perception among some and there are plenty of jokes about it. For example, consider the following:

“Economics is the only field in which two people can receive a Nobel Prize for saying exactly the opposite thing.”

“Christopher Columbus was perhaps the first economist. When he left to discover America, he didn’t know where he was going. When he got there, he didn’t know where he was. When he returned, he didn’t know where he had been. And it was all done on a government grant!”

“Three economists went out hunting and came across a large deer. The first economist fired but missed by a yard to the left. The second economist fired, but also missed by a yard to right. The third economist didn’t fire, but shouted in triumph, “We got it! We got it!””

“If you put 10 economists in a room, you’ll get 11 opinions.”

However, whether we like it or not, the world turns on what economic policies are followed, and the economic policies closely follow the political policies.

The prices of investments depend upon economics, for example. The prices of any stocks that you own are based on the discounted cash flow model, in which the future cash flows are projected and then discounted back to the present value. Every bank and every investment bank applies this economic theory. The key inventors/contributors of this financial methodology and related valuation theory were Irving Fisher, Harry Markowitz, Merton Miller, Myron Scholes, and Franco Modigliani. All of these individuals were Jews, except Modigliani. But even Modigliani had Jewish origins, and, in fact, he fled Italy because of his origins and his antifascist views.

Whether the U.S. economy will improve under President Trump will also depend in large part on whose economic policies he follows. Will he follow Milton Friedman or Paul Krugman? That’s not BS. It’s a matter of dollars and sense (pun intended). IMO, I hope that Friedman type policies prevail, as those have proven to help the economy grow.

The liberal elite are already targeting Bannon saying he is anti-Semitic just because he didn’t want his kids to go to school with Jews. How does that make him an anti-Semite?

http://forward.com/news/354329/will-steve-bannon-be-the-anti-semitic-firebrand-in-donald-trumps-inner-circ/

His ex-wife, Mary Louise Piccard, reportedly claimed during their divorce that Bannon did not want their daughters to attend private schools in Los Angeles because there were too many Jewish students there.

According the court documents, Piccard stated: “He said he doesn’t like Jews and that he doesn’t like the way they raise their kids to be ‘whiny brats.’”

He also asked why there were “so many Chanukkah books” in the library of another school.

M: Um, saying you don’t want your kids to go to school with Jews is pretty close to the very definition of anti-Semitism. That you have to ask how it is, says it all (that you think it’s okay to say you don’t want your kids to be near Jews–that anti-Semitism isn’t anti-Semitism and, therefore, there is “so such thing”). That said, however, the accusation is that of a then-soon-to-be-ex in a divorce. And spouses lie in divorces, so it’s 50/50 whether or not it’s true and to be believed. If it is true, then he is, indeed, a Jew-hater. But like I said, in general, what people allege in divorces is not to be taken as truth until proven. DS

MAGA on November 14, 2016 at 11:42 am

DS and M: Some of my work once involved divorces and I learned very early on that in divorce actions, good people are on their worst behavior; whereas, in criminal actions, bad people are on their best behavior. Unfortunately, in the realm of bitter and acrimonious divorces, people will say or do almost anything if they think it helps their case. That said, in Bannon’s case, the school in question was called The Archer School for Girls, based in Los Angeles, CA, (with tuition fees of $35,000/year as of 2014) and Bannon DID send his children to this school, so the charge from his opposing spouse is moot. If Bannon did not send his children to the school given that Jewish girls attended this school, then there might be a point. But the fact that he DID send them to Archer and by all accounts was very happy with the school and his daughters’ educations there renders the entire argument against him moot.

Ralph Adamo on November 15, 2016 at 3:34 pm

Incidentally, one point about Steve Bannon that is seldom discussed is that he became wealthy while relatively young, thanks in large part to Jews.

Bannon started out at Goldman Sachs and through his connections there he had the good luck to become an advisor on a deal involving the TV show Seinfeld before it became the iconic hit that it ultimately did.

The creators of Seinfeld were Larry David and, of course, Jerry Seinfeld, but on the business side, there was Castle Rock Entertainment, founded by Martin Shafer, Rob Reiner, Andrew Scheinman, Glenn Padnick, and Alan Horn. So the show Seinfeld was pretty much a “Jewish” production from soups to nuts.

Bannon though very highly of the show and he was part of the team involved in raising money for it. They offered him the opportunity to waive his fees in exchange for a share of the business. In a wise decision, he agreed to do just that and as a result, when the show did become a hit, the royalties made him set for life.

For an example of someone in a similar type choice who did not make the wise decision, consider the case of Marlon Brando and The Godfather. Before The Godfather became the iconic blockbuster that it did become, Brando had a share of The Godfather. But he wanted cash up front, rather than the chance to make a lot more by waiting to see if the movie would become a hit, even though he knew that Mario Puzo’s book was already a hit. So he agreed to sell his share in the movie back to the executives at Paramount, which was then run by Jews. They never forced or persuaded him to make the deal. He just thought that cash now was better than a big pot down the road that was far from guaranteed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brando’s later expressions of anti-Semitism were the result of the outcome of his deal on The Godfather. But he really had nobody to blame by himself.

The Daily News, if based on that headline (which, sadly for them, was not unique, but rather par for the course) was another big loser in the whole election. Not only that, but by their post-election headlines (i.e. “House of Horrors” with a picture of the White House after Trump was declared the winner), are proving themselves absolutely sore losers, as well.

My wife doesn’t let me talk politics in general, but it was still surprising when my son’s Godparents thought I was a Hilary supporter and a lefty, I guess living in the golden state and being Mexican it was assumed. Needless to say they were relieved when they found out how conservative I am, most on my twitter feed and Facebook know, so this did catch me by surprise. Their son, our Godson, just enlisted and was accepted into the Navy Seal program.

I have to share this video I stumbled upon while looking something up on YouTube. Although this was made in 2011, it is 100% valid and relevant today for the simple reason that leftist stupidity and good old common sense never go out of style. It’s a computer animated discussion between a leftist and a non-leftist. You will also find it entertaining and funny, as well as informative. The truth is funny, if you can manage to distance yourself a bit from the reality for a moment:

I’ve always loved reading Mr. Adamo’s comments, especially stuff like this, because this man is experienced, knowledgeable, and OH!!!, so wise.

“. . . I learned very early on that in divorce actions, good people are on their worst behavior; whereas, in criminal actions, bad people are on their best behavior.”

Truer words are not even found in the Bible. As true, yes, but not truer.

Also, I’d like to add, just because Ralph Adamo and Salvatore “Lefty Guns” Ruggiero were never seen together in the same place and same time, or for that matter, Ralph Adamo and Don Carlo Gambino were never seen together in the same place at the same time, . . .

means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

ROTFLMAO!!!

Ummmmmmmm, just kidding, please don’t send the limousine to come around the corner, with a window automatically sliding down, and the familiar old “pffft, pfffft,” to get me, . . .

pwease???

I live in Bloomfield, you should come to our Shabbat dinners, we are all Trump supporters except for my brotherinlaw, and now he refuses to come to dinner because his HRC lost! He knows we can’t wait to rip into him with all his nonsense this year, he would start up with us every week, it was like ringing the bell, and he was like a dog foaming at the mouth , its quite entertaining!
