Ted Nugent Announces He Hates Jews, Mocks the Holocaust; Anti-Israel

By Debbie Schlussel

The Nuge is Now a Neo-Nazi Stooge

It’s official: Ted Nugent, NRA Board Member and frequent guest on conservative talk radio shows, including and especially Sean Hannity’s show (and his FOX News show), hates Jews and Israel. And he thinks it’s fun to mock the Holocaust.

Ted Nugent’s FB Post Yesterday & My Responses (I Meant to Type that Nugent Endorsed CRUZ, not Jews) . . .
tednugentassholecropped
tednugentantisemitecropped
tednugentfucropped

In 1997 or ’98, I and Ted Nugent testified together before a Michigan Senate committee in support of loosening or eliminating Michigan laws that placed restrictions on gun sales, gun ownership, and gun possession. I noted in my speech that I am a religious Jew and that my late Holocaust survivor grandfather, Isaac Engel–about whom I’ve written here before–was a proud gun-owner and always taught me about the gun restrictions that Nazis and other Jew-haters put on Jews, so that they could annihilate the Jews. Ted Nugent heard my speech. He also had me on the Detroit-area radio show he hosted at the time when I ran for the Michigan House shortly thereafter, and I repeated what I said before the Michigan Senate committee. My articles have been featured in the NRA magazine and I was a speaker at several NRA national conventions (until the organization bowed to Muslim Grover Norquist and his friend, convicted Islamic terrorist Sami Al-Arian).

But Ted Nugent doesn’t care about that.

Yesterday, on his Facebook Page, Ted Nugent personally and proudly posted a set of pictures of Jewish liberal Democrat politicians, whom he says are solely responsible for gun control. The pictures that he posted had pictures of Israeli flags on each headshot, as well as detailed captions about each one’s Jewish heritage or ties to Israel. No matter that every single one of them is a JINO (Jew In Name Only) and several are NOT pro-Israel. No big deal, either, that at least one, former New Jersey U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, has been dead for years. You see, every bad thing in America is the Jews’ fault. Got that? Ted Nugent wants you to know it’s all about the JOOOOOOS. And he posted “NEVER AGAIN mthrfkrs!,” in a not-so-veiled mockery of the Holocaust, for which “Never Again” has become the Jewish slogan.

Despite the conventional wisdom about Jews and gun control, I’m one of many proud Jewish gun owners in America and one of many Jewish Americans who believe that the Second Amendment is the most important civil right and have fought against restrictions on it. My late father, also a religious Jew and a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served during Vietnam, taught me my appreciation for this precious right. My synagogue, an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, held a class–attended by many members–to obtain their Michigan concealed pistol licenses. On top of that, many avowed liberal gun control advocates–Barack Obama, Jon Hamm, those who run the Brady Campaign (neither of the Bradys were Jews), the Clintons, etc.–are not Jews.

Again, Ted Nugent doesn’t care about that. He only cares about letting you know that it’s the JOOOOOOOOS and only the EVIL JOOOOOOS–especially the ones who are pro-Israel–that want to take away your and my guns. Oh, and he wants you to know that he has no respect for what happened in the Holocaust to Jews like my late grandfather and grandmother and their families, so he will invoke it in his attacks on the Jews.

What Ted Nugent doesn’t seem to get because he’s just a famous ignoramus with diarrhea of the mouth, is that in Israel almost every Jew owns at least one gun, if not several, and they carry them around for protection. The country is probably the most pro-gun country in the world. It has to be because its Jewish citizens are under attack every single day from Palestinians who want to kill them. Palestinians who stab them, shoot them up, bomb them, drive cars into them, and other such actions that can generally be proactively stopped with a gun. On my very first trip to Israel, I met one of my 12-year-old cousins who wore a shotgun around his shoulder. It was a must wear accessory for survival.

Ted Nugent is too stupid to know these things and too shallow. He’s an attention whore, and this is his latest way to get eyeballs: by replacing Cat Scratch Fever with Jew Hate Virus. That won’t cure the fact that he’s an incessant blowhard and a complete boor.

I noted that on Nugent’s Facebook page against the Jews, he got thousands of supportive, openly Jew-hating comments from neo-Nazis and bigots–many of them calling for the annihilation or mass deportation of all Jews. Thanks, “Uncle Ted.” Did Nugent erase those comments or disavow them? Nope. (It was heartening to see that many right-wing, conservative Jews and many non-Jewish conservatives posted comments attacking Nugent on his Facebook post, but several thousand people shared his post, and that’s scary.)

I note, also, that yesterday Nugent endorsed Ted Cruz. Donald Trump has come under fire for drawing the support of a number of racists and White supremacists. But now Ted Cruz has Ted Nugent. And, funny, I haven’t heard a word from Ted Cruz about it.

So, will the NRA or Hannity or the other so-called conservatives dump him? Will FOX News–up in arms about Donald Trump’s proposal to maybe briefly keep more Muslims from entering the country–have the same “civil rights” concerns about the network’s frequent guest Nugent’s views about the Jews? Don’t hold your breath.

Remember that, the next time they tell you about the anti-Semites on the left, which has no monopoly on Jew-hatred. Not even close.

***

By the way, longtime readers know that this isn’t my first criticism of the fraud and hypocrite Ted Nugent. He’s a draft-dodging liar who broke the law and obtained phony student deferments so he could avoid serving in Vietnam. Thing is, he wasn’t a student at the time. He was touring with rock bands.

And, as I’ve noted on this site, he wrote a whole chapter in his book, “Ted, White & Blue,” lecturing Black men to stop having so much premarital sex and kids out of wedlock, detailing the damage that is done to kids without a father. This same Ted Nugent who is a child molester who had sex with minors (he even got some imbecile parents to sign a girl over to him as her guardian so he could have sex with her) and is the father of at least eight kids with six different women . . . or is that nine kids with seven different women? I lost count because new kids keep popping up to meet the sperm donor “dad,” Ted Nugent, they missed out on for the first four decades of their lives.

He’s not exactly the guy you should take advice from . . . about anything, whether its guns, the JOOOOOOOOS, Black men’s sex lives, etc.

***

Don’t count on the National Rifle Association (NRA) to take a stand against Jew-hatred and dump big-mouthed Nugent. As I’ve noted on this site, and above, the NRA has no backbone on anything important, including the Second Amendment. The organization once disinvited me from speaking at their national convention because Muslim Grover Norquist didn’t like that I was writing about and exposing his buddy, Islamic Jihad terrorist group founder and worldwide chief Sami Al-Arian, a convicted terrorist. Despite the fact that Al-Arian fundraised for Islamic terrorist operations to kill innocent civilians, including American college student Alisa Flatow (who was killed in a bus bombing Al-Arian masterminded), and the fact that Al-Arian bragged about the merger of his Islamic Jihad terrorist group with HAMAS, the NRA actually tried to take his side at Jihad Grover’s request.

After inviting me to speak at the NRA national convention for a second or third year in a row, I was informed that my invitation was being revoked at Grover’s request because Grover was an NRA Board Member (and still is) and was upset at what I was writing about Al-Arian in the New York Post (and saying in appearances on FOX News), etc. When I asked if the NRA was a lobby for the Second Amendment or, rather, for Islamic terrorists, the NRA’s spokesperson couldn’t give me an answer on that. I was only re-invited because I threatened (and planned) to talk about this on Howard Stern’s nationally-syndicated radio show. While NRA chief Wayne LaPierre personally apologized to me, after that appearance at the NRA convention I was never again invited back.

And the Jews who headed and/or serve on the NRA board, including Todd Rathner and Sandy Froman (an NRA President), have had no backbone to stop the Jew-hatred that seems welcome at the NRA. Both retreated from explicit commitments to me to get rid of Norquist. They and the NRA told me they were disturbed that Norquist–their board member–took money from Al-Qaeda and laundered it and that they were concerned about his support for open Jew-hating, Islamic-terrorist supporting organizations (including unindicted HAMAS co-conspirator CAIR). And they told me he’d soon be dumped from their board. But, despite their commitments, it never happened. (Hey, Todd Rathner has an African Safari business to promote and protect.) And it never happened, despite the fact that Norquist secured a Bush White House job for Suhail Khan, who along with Kahn’s father, brought Ayman Al-Zawahiri into the United States to raise money for Al-Qaeda at Kahn’s father’s mosque. Muslims, whose cause Norquist champions, support gun control in overwhelming majorities in poll after poll.

Hey, where’s Ted Nugent’s post about Muslims who want to take away our guns? I must’ve missed that.

The NRA is comfortable with board members like Norquist and Jew-hater Ted Nugent.

And that should bother anyone who really cares about a strong Second Amendment.

***

One other thing: don’t believe Glenn Beck’s phony campaign against the NRA to drop Norquist. Beck quickly abandoned that and has, instead, hired Norquist’s and Islam’s apologist scammer rabbi, Daniel Lapin, to do a podcast for him.

Lapin, FYI, officiated at the wedding of the gay jihadist Grover and his Muslim beard . . . er, wife. And, as documented in mainstream media reports and court documents, Lapin helped facilitate Norquist’s and his pal and convicted felon Jack Abramoff’s money-laundering schemes and rip-offs of federal Indian tribes for which Abramoff went to prison for several years. Norquist escaped Bush Justice Department prosecution because he was protected by his pal, FOX News Contributor Karl Rove.

The guy fell off of the cliff years ago, and does not have the sense to realize it. Ted Nugent is only fit for the Stormfront crowd now. He truly has no basis to lecture others on morality, considering his past lifestyle. As for hating Jews and mocking the Holocaust, how is he different from the leadership of Iran? Ted Nugent is no Conservative, but the worst stereotype of one. When conservatives surround themselves with the likes of him, they rightly receive derisive laughter from leftists.

Worry on February 9, 2016 at 5:11 pm

Very enlightening report. Thanks Debbie. Cruz had some choice words about “Neocons” awhile back. We all know what that means. Is it just me, or are conservatives becoming more and more comfortable with Israel/Jew bashing?

Meanwhile, Sanders’s top foreign policy advisers are Korb and James Zogby. Hillary’s got Huma and Max/Sid Blumenthal.

Trump doesn’t seem to have much of a foreign policy team, but a man by the name of Sam Clovis seems to be involved. No idea about him.

adam on February 9, 2016 at 5:14 pm

Its revolting… its the same thing the New York Times did to smear people opposed to the Iran deal by identifying them as Jews.

What in the world does being Jewish have to do with the RKBA? Its an ethnic slur, plain and simple.

Ted Nugent will pay no real price for his Jew-hatred. He’s discovered anti-Semitism is welcome in today’s world. And no one will ostracize him for it.

Good call! Sad to say, the Right as well as the Left has its share of bigots and there is little principled about politics in our country today.

And Nugent has taken it to a new low.

NormanF on February 9, 2016 at 5:32 pm

Nugent will now keynote 2016 GOP Convention in Cleveland.

    I am always right!

NF: Not true. He won’t be delivering the keynote or ANY speech at the official 2016 GOP Convention in Cleveland. Just ‘cuz someone said it on Twitter, doesn’t make it true. But, as I noted in the piece, NRA is doubling down and he remains on its board, just like Jihad Grover does. DS

NormanF on February 11, 2016 at 3:07 pm

His presence at the Convention isn’t a sign that he won’t be welcome in the GOP.

Ditto for the NRA which will keep him on its Board Of Directors.

NormanF on February 11, 2016 at 4:53 pm

There are people I consider conservative.

Jew and Israel-hating Nugent ain’t one of them.

NormanF on February 9, 2016 at 5:40 pm

The other thing to be noted is if you need to bring in Jew into an argument, you’ve already lost.

An ad hominem fallacy is still a fallacy.

Frickin’ idiot Nugent needs to get a f*ckin’ clue.

NormanF on February 9, 2016 at 5:44 pm

I think with the advent of Donald Trump, we have seen just how stupid some “Conservatives” can be and the RINO morons they support. And these geniuses thought the Obama-Putin supporters were myopic!

My question is what do REAL Jews do with the JINOs who add grist to the mill of the dopey who wanna lump all Jews together? I ask because the JINOs make me angry and get in the way of non-Jews who really support Jews, Judaism and Israel. It’s frustrating because these JINOs are the worst when it comes to gun control and Moooooslims and Islam. They are the last who should support those things but they ardently do. People are so stupid today…when a JINO will scream “But I am Jewish…” this will make the low-info go, “Oh yes, they are Jewish…” so they ignorantly think the JINO has a good point of view. I don’t think so. I think the JINO is a retard and helps the devil and makes it harder for the good guys.

I don’t know what to do with these sorts. They make it difficult for those of us who want to take down the Libtards and Islam. It frustrates me so I only wonder how REAL Jews feel about these JINOs.

Skunky on February 9, 2016 at 5:53 pm

In a broader sense, that is the trouble with many of the single-issue organizations, the NRA, some of the abortion-rights organizations, etc.

They will endorse a candidate who on paper has a good position on their issue, but is woefully far from the best candidate overall in the election under question. It is easy for wily politicians to take advantage of this.

Specifically on Nugent, there are assertions here that are, if those in question wish, subject to legal action, and Nugent can be crushed.

Look at the description of Rahm Emanuel or Michael Bloomberg. The other descriptions are offensive, and possibly subject to legal action as well, but these two, definitely.

Nugent, stupidly and blindly, has opened himself to severe reprisals.

Little Al on February 9, 2016 at 6:21 pm

I don’t a lecture from Nugent about Jewish commitment to freedom and America’s security.

Unlike Nugent, Jews gave their lives for our country. He needs to STFU.

If israel was at war with the usa what side would you be on deb? Get over israel or move there and stfu.

Phil on February 9, 2016 at 6:36 pm

Phil, good to know neo-Nazis like you are coming out in defense of Nugent.

The sum of his so-called character witnesses says a lot more about him than it does about Debbie Schlussel.

Go to hell.

“THE MOTOR CITY MAD MAN”…

At 60+ years old, perhaps a Brain Scan, Arterial Flow Monitoring, Dental Health, Memory Test, Hearing Test, STD Test, and others may be appropriate at this stage of his life.

My suggestion? Arrange a private meeting with the JPFO group to discuss this situation.

Ted, what the hell is going on? I expected better of you!

Get your mind in order; Allow your heart to feel; and heal yourself before you go off the cliff to irrationality.

Rafi on February 9, 2016 at 7:20 pm

WOW!!!

Debbie, you regularly provide us with exposes (sorry for the lack of the accent over the ‘e’) to the inner machinations of the political filth that our nation habitually wallows in. Just as you provide us with great examples of the cultural toilet that we have created and wallow in as well.

I never fail to appreciate you for this, more and more all the time. The education and exposes you provide keep us wise. Wisdom is far more of a curse than a blessing because of the bitterness it brings, nevertheless the blessing is invaluable.

And once AGAIN, without meaning to I’m sure, Debbie has provided me with yet ANOTHER chance to quote the famous proverb of the great modern seer, Jimmy Hoffa, . . .

“sooner or later, everybody does business with everybody.”

THIS article really points up how filthy it all gets when people indulge themselves in Jimmy’s famous proverb.

With all due respect to the great ancient Israeli King Solomon, I truly fail to see that there could be much wiser words than Jimmy uttered. The implications are self evident in the long and terrible downfall of “this once great republic.”

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on February 9, 2016 at 9:30 pm

Anti-Semitism is demonic there isn’t any way around it! 70% of the Bible is about Israel and the other 30 % is prophecy.
God calls Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob 12 times the God of Jacob over 70 and the God of Israel over 200 times. It’s clear to anyone that believes his or her Bible that to hate the Jew and deny them the land God gave them is putting oneself in the line of fire of the Ancient of Days. As to when He will deal with those folks only He knows but I have a feeling it isn’t so far off in the future.
And Phil, my pastor and I talked about that very thing a few years ago. We both agreed that we wouldn’t raise arms against Israel lest we be found fighting with God.

brian on February 9, 2016 at 9:47 pm

I’m guessing that the reason Nugent prefered Cruz to Trump was Ivanka

Infidel on February 9, 2016 at 10:40 pm

Ted Nugent is certainly a dummy, but he’s also pandering to his particular core audience: neo-Nazis. Without them, and Fox, he would be a nonentity. Even Alex Jones, who largely shares a similar fan base as Nugent’s, has always recognized the importance of Aaron Zelman, a Jew and a vital opponent to gun control, and wrote a fine obituary about him extoling his contributions, and promoted his books and videos.

Nugent is also pretty stupid when it comes to music. The brilliant guitarist Eddie Van Halen used to tell a funny story about him. Once, when Nugent came backstage to see Eddie after a show, Nugent asked if he could play Van Halen music using Eddie’s own guitar and amplifier so that he could replicate Eddie’s unique “sound.” Eddie agreed to let him try. When Nugent finished, Eddie laughed at him because he just sounded like Ted Nugent and nothing like the Van Halen sound.

Ralph Adamo on February 9, 2016 at 11:03 pm

Intrinsically, Ted Nugent is totally exaggerating his stance regarding “gun-control” of him making absurd claims that executes to anti-Semitism 101 of arguing that those who are anti-2nd Amendment are Jewish people and Israel supporters.

Consequently, the majority of anti-gunners who are advocate hacks for gun-control happens to be non-Jews and a huge majority of Israel supporters are gun-rights advocates that supports a specific natural-law in the US Constitution of the 2nd Amendment. Nugent is being intellectually-dishonest of providing NO form of evidence to represent his argument, and if I were Mr. Nugent, I’d do some basic-investigative research on his stance and not parrot propaganda absurdity!

Sean R. on February 10, 2016 at 12:02 am

The other part that gives away Nugent’s vile Jew-hatred: Last I checked, Obama – one of the loudest in advocating us all being disarmed and defenseless in the face of both domestic criminality and the coming jihad – wasn’t Jewish. Not even close. Nor are Nancy “Pelostic-Surgery” and Harry Reid. Or Gabby Giffords. Or the widow of James Brady. But then, hasn’t Nugent’s hometown been a cauldron of such anti-Semitism? (I think of the elder Henry Ford and his backing of “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.”)

ConcernedPatriot on February 10, 2016 at 5:47 am

Debbie,mI cannot understand how you would support what are obviously liberal Jews when you want freedom and support Israel. I disagree with you on this completely. I support Israel, am anti-Holocaust and am not a fan of Nugent . To read his comment as anti-semitic dumbfounds me because these Leftists are undermining America. As fas as Israeli flags being shown next to each picture, is that the way he posted them or….? If he is antiSemitic and it is flagrant with other postings, then I would believe you. These are 2nd amendment destroyers who are Leftists and jewish,FACTS that shouldn’t be lost on the main issue. If the little flags are there as you posted, mthen his opinion must be that they support Israel more than the US, which is right to believe. If he is anti-Semitic then that is something else altogether, but I don’t see it from one posting because he can’t stand these liberal jews. I can’t stand them either and Im sure from reading you for 5 years neither can you.

JC: HUH?! Who said I support any of those people? AS you should know from reading me, I don’t and have been critical of most of them on my site. That’s not the point. The point is that they have NOTHING to do with Israel, that Ted Nugent openly attacks Jews and Israel, mocks the Holocaust, and endorses the total BS that Israel was behind 9/11. Anyone who does that is a Jew-hater and a liar. Period. That has nothing to do with guns. DS

John Collignon on February 10, 2016 at 9:02 am

I think Ted’s comment’s were offensive too Debbie, as a Jew. But he’s right that most prominent Jewish politicians in America are in fact left wing liberals who hate the 2nd amendment, and would favor gun confiscation, if they could. I myself have no use for them and wouldn’t vote for them either.

Joel A Smotkin on February 10, 2016 at 9:56 am

No, John Collignon and Joel A Smotkin, you cannot reasonably argue that Nugunt “is right” about Jews and gun control in any context. Nugent has crossed wayyyyy over the line of saying that many prominent Jews support or promote gun control. With his statements he has landed squarely in the Neo-nazi camp.

For example, in the picture for NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, along with the Israeli flag, his tag line includes the phrase “9/11 Israeli agent.” I will decode that for you, if you don’t already know what that means. It means that Nugent agrees with the vicious lie that the 9/11 crimes were committed by Israelis, and further, that Mike Bloomberg was one of Israel’s agents helping to carry out those crimes.

That’s total insanity. The people who honestly believes that Israel was behind 9/11 and carried it out, and that Mike Bloomberg was part of that alleged conspiracy, should seek psychiatric help as soon as possible. However, in their particular case, it would probably be best if the psychiatrist selected isn’t Jewish, so as not to complicate things too much, given the scrambled state of their brains already.

Ralph Adamo on February 10, 2016 at 7:20 pm

I understand your comments perfectly, Mr. Collignon, but Nugent’s use of the Israeli flag is a totally out of context maneuver taken straight out of the distraction politics philosophy of Saul Alinsky. It serves no purpose BUT to fan the flames of Anti-Semitism. I believe that Debbie is correct to point that out.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on February 10, 2016 at 9:57 am

John Collingnon,

Did you look at that image? It claims that Michael Bloomberg is an Israeli agent and implies that Israel was behind 9/11.

Vic on February 10, 2016 at 10:45 am

Those opening comments have got to be the most truthful honest heart-felt piece on a piece that I have ever read. I was ROFL’ing at the outraged brutal and well deserved honesty, the values-calibrating accuracy therein.

The main content was a sobering analysis properly defending the opening.

Tirdad Gharib on February 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm

If Nugent had a scintilla of decency, he would at the very least immediately retract his anti-Jewish, anti-Israel rant.
Instead, today he reposted his 2010 tribute to Aaron Zelman, who founded Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO).

Nugent wrote the following then about Aaron Zelman:

“My hero, my American BloodBrother and an American Warrior legend, the great Aaron Zelman perfectly represented all free men who refuse to be controlled by others or denied our [G-d] given right to keep and bear arms,” he wrote at the time. “We stand repulsed by the ugly soullessness of unarmed helplessness.”

That does nothing to correct the damage he’s done. If Zelman were truly his hero, then why hasn’t he shown any evidence that he really knows anything about him, other than that he was against gun control. Does Nugent even know that Zelman was an ardent Zionist and practiced Judaism — unlike many of the politicians and other individuals he characterized as such in his Neo-nazi photo composite?

The JPFO condemned Nugent’s posts, but Nugent stands by his statements. That demonstrates that Nugent’s animosity toward Jews and Israel is stronger than his commitment to the Second Amendment, as the JPFO has been, and continues to be, one of the strongest defenders (if not the strongest defender) of gun ownership in America.

The response of the NRA was lame. An NRA spokeswoman told The Washington Post on Wednesday that “individual board members do not speak for the NRA.” That’s it. That’s all the NRA had to say about Nugent. Despicable.

Ralph Adamo on February 10, 2016 at 4:38 pm

This is a very important point. The Jews of Israel, will not shoot, nor kill, unless they know their life or other’s are in imminent danger. We, or rather Jewish people have the highest regard for life. Israel, and I would like to believe Jews, have the most restrictive conditions for this, despite the pathetic world views. Ted, is just a person who has absolutely no brains about this, and because of his fame, ( which is minuscule ) at this point in time, tries to get attention. In other words, we value life, however , if you try and take this away from us… You will pay!

Ted Nugent is a head case….’nuff said.

IceNoMore on February 11, 2016 at 11:51 am

Debbie once again you’re way ahead of the curve on musty old rocker Nugent. One my long commute to work I listen to the local talk radio station. The morning host calls himself a libertarian who hated that Rand Paul dropped out of the race. The only reasons I listen to him is because he’s a. funny and b. hates Killary Benghazi Clinton. Anyway he finally this morning mention Ted Nugent’s anti-Semitic FB post, his being an NRA board member since the 90s and his being fawned over by “conservatives” like Sean Vannity (aka da Wallbanga). The fact that this POS is a draft dodging bucket of trash can juice and a Holocaust denier is enough to let me know what kind of man he is. Losers like Teddy live in gated communities and have armed guards to protect their sorry butts. So they feel free and clear to make stupid statements about Israel being evil and responsible for everything. All the while making HAMAS and the Palestinians the good guys. Memo to baby daddy Ted Nugent. Hey pal the blame Israel and the Jews shtick is getting really old and you need some new material. Cat Scratch Fever is more like Cat @#$% Fever.

Ken B on February 11, 2016 at 12:04 pm

It seems that the “Motor City Mad Man” has a desire to live up to his nickname. Ted Nugent’s comments are abominable and stupid. It’s going to be a LOOOONG time before he recovers from this,if he ever does.

Ghostwriter on February 12, 2016 at 1:15 am

This is so icky. Thank you for posting this, Deb.

Perhaps this is a bad place to bring this up, but I believe you have posted columns harshly critical of almost all the people in Ted’s graphic. The graphic is anti-Semitic because it holds Jews exclusively responsible for gun control. Having said that, I find it very unfortunate and frustrating that so many American Jews assault the 2nd Amendment.

Your claim that “… in Israel almost every Jew owns at least one gun” is likely untrue. I go to the local range with Israelis on occasion. Israeli laws on gun ownership and conceal/carry are VERY restrictive. You don’t find stores like Cabelas and Gander Mountain selling guns in Israel. Reservists take their service arms home, but do not own them. They (and Israeli gun-owners) must account for EVERY bullet.

Over the years, the Israeli government has become so restrictive on gun ownership and conceal/carry that they are slowly (in government time) considering loosening up on the number of permits issued. Moreover, as any of my Israeli shooting buddies will tell me, gun ownership in Israel is not an “enshrined right”. Gun ownership in Israel comes with government permission and these days, the permission is very strict and limited.

Like you, I don’t believe Jews should be blamed for gun control. However, I do believe that most American Jews can be confronted for automatically supporting liberal candidates (Jewish or otherwise) who assault the 2nd Amendment.

Today, we see the plight of Jewish communities in Europe who are dependent on the government for protection. Here in America, we have a precious freedom to protect ourselves. The failure of American Jewish leaders to defend the 2nd Amendment assures us that American Jews are destined to a similar fate. Unfortunately, getting American Jewish leaders to embrace this thesis is extremely difficult. I’m not sure what to do about that. I’m open to suggestions.

Sincerely,

There is NO Santa Claus on February 12, 2016 at 8:27 am

Always happens when an artist is on their way out of mode, they blame Jews for their problems. Maybe it’s easy to do, as we’ve been the world’s whipping post since day one but in reality, he’s not the guitar hero he used to be and his tone and technique have never been my favorite but can’t argue with his past success. With that said, my mom’s wisdom rings true over and over again. She used to tell me there are 2 types of people in the world. Jews and those that hate them! Fuck you Uncle Ted and that loud screeching Gibson Byrdland guitar you try to play! Go to Gaza or Iraq for a jew-free concert but don’t lose your dumb Pollack head over there! ?

Let’s face it, Ted is sending the same message that Hitler sold to his followers over 70 years ago: “The Jews are to blame.” No matter what the problem, Jews will always be the ones to blame to crap like Nugent and Hitler. Nugent cherry-picked those who are for gun control — 12 Jews. Does he really think they’re the only ones? What about Obama, definitely not a Jew. How about Sylvester Stallone, not even a Democrat. And what is it with the Israeli flag by those people? Israel is hardly a gun-free country, nor is it pushing a gun-control agenda. All of this simply shows how truly stupid Ted Nugent is. Next time any of you see a dog taking a dump on the street, keep walking. It’s simply making another Ted Nugent.

I am a Jew. I am a gun owner. I am a proud member of the NRA. Ted Nugent screwed up by re-posting a nasty bit of anti-Jewish propaganda without thinking what this really means to Jews. However, I truly believe that Ted does NOT hate Jews or Israel. I also believe that Ted knows that a large portion of people with Jewish heritage are ardent supporters of the 2nd Amendment and the right to own firearms. And even though I am a Jew, I am ashamed to say that the people listed in Ted’s post are rabid anti-gun-owner and anti 2nd Amendment. Furthermore, they are supported by some very wealthy folks who happen to also be Jewish.

Yes, as a Jew, I am forced to admit that there is a large, organized, politically active and financially supported faction among us who are working hard to destroy gun ownership as we know it and the 2nd Amendment. I hate them as much, if not more, than Ted Nugent does. The point I think Ted was trying to make was how could these prosperous individuals who should know all too well what Nazi-gun-confiscators can and will do without hesitation support gun bans? Why are they on the wrong side of even their own history?

And, on this singular point, Ted and I stand hand-in-hand together on this. Ted can’t understand why these wealthy and politically powerful people who happen to be Jews want to fight to take lawful gun owner’s rights away. The truth is, I don’t understand it either, nor do many other Jews!

    Jewish Gun Owner:

Of course you don’t understand. You are not observing the world around you.

Many American Jews believe the government will protect us because there are Jews “in high places”. Just look at Ted’s list! How could the U.S. government allow violence against Jews with all these Jews in influential places? (That’s a rhetorical question in case you didn’t know.)

The answer is simple. Rather than looking at the Holocaust, look at Europe TODAY. In Europe today, Jews are in peril because they are totally dependent on the government to protect them. They have no legal means to protect themselves like Americans. There ARE Jews “in high places” in European governments, but it doesn’t help.

Ted Nugent’s facebook post is anti-Semtitic. Worse than that, even if you don’t agree with that, Nugent has split advocates of the 2nd Amendment at precisely the time when 2A is most under siege.

There’s no excuse for Ted’s post. Jews (and especially “the Jews”) are NOT solely responsible for gun control. Moreover, the name-calling applied in that post is anti-Semitic under any circumstance. “Jew York”???? That’s right out of the Louis Farakhan book of anti-Semitic slurs.

I’m not letting Ted Nugent off the hook on this one. His Facebook post is divisive among 2nd Amendment advocates even if you don’t think it is anti-Semitic. He has hurt the NRA even if the NRA’s leaders are too incompetent to realize it.

I have posted above my own frustration with Jewish Americans who support public leaders hostile to the 2nd Amendment. I get that! But like it or not, Ted Nugent lumped YOU (and I) with the people he listed in his anti-Semitic Facebook post. There’s no excusing that.

There is a constructive way to confront Jewish Americans who fail to support 2nd Amendment rights. Inciting hate for Jews is not one of them. I can not and will not endorse your views (as stated) on this subject.

    Sincerely,

Ted Nugent has always said hateful things and the only reason that you are angry is because he has directed his hatred towards the Jews. When he directs his hatred towards others, you have no problem because you do it too.
