Cause for Glee: More “Air America” Liberal Radio Failure

By
The brief liberal radio “career” of shrieking blonde annoyance Nancy Skinner is a great illustration of the continuing failure of liberal talk radio, specifically “Air America.”
Just several months ago, Skinner was lauded in a glowing Detroit News feature for her new show on Detroit’s “Air America” affiliate (the dimwit Detroit News reporter, Susan Whitall, kept calling Al Aqsa–as in Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade–“El Oxa”; guess she thought it was a Mexican mariachi band). But she and her show lasted just a half a year (or less) on the air as the liberal morning radio host on Air America’s WDTW. As reported by the Detroit Free Press’ John Smyntek, Democracy Radio, which was paying Skinner’s salary, RAN OUT OF MONEY. Pity.
Free Press political reporter Dawson Bell reports that Skinner’s and WDTW’s “share of the local radio audience is too small to measure” by Arbitron’s ratings system. What a smashing success this “Air America” is.
Skinner will now run against Republican U.S. Congressman Joe Knollenberg. We predict it will probably be as successful as her failed 2004 race for the U.S. Senate in Illinois, where she was also a failed liberal radio talk show host (Chicago’s WLS). In that case, we think we’ll recommend the Libertarian. Knollenberg has a record of wasting U.S. tax dollars on his Hezbollah terrorist buddies, and getting campaign contributions from them for his and kiddie’s campaigns in exchange (detailed here and ).

What do you have against liberal radio, Debbie. I guess you are all for what our wonderful president has done to make our country look bad in the eyes of the world. I was all for going into Afghanistan to get Osama Bin Laden but when your buddy President Bush decided to avenge his daddy’s failure to get Saddam and entered into another Vietnam I ended all ties to anything he does. So a few people choose to voice their opposition to the way the right wing runs this country and you don’t like it. Too bad. I used to think this was a free country but it stopped being free when this sorry administration took office and you seem to think they can do no wrong. That is really sad.

Speaking of Air America, guess who may pick them up? The conservative (allegedly) radio network Clear Channel…HAHAHA. Seems like liberal radio will rebound. According to C.C.s pres release, Air America is playing at the Clear Channel’s station, like KTLK in Los Angeles. the P.D. there who is an employee of C.C. told me that Air America or liberal radio may be picked up by their network. Wowzers

robie46, “I guess you are all for what our wonderful president has done to make our country look bad in the eyes of the world.”
Of all things Bush has done, making us look bad to those bunch of jerks known as France and a host of other third world countries who envy and hate America is really sad…LOL!
No surprise AirHead America is heard by even fewer people than MSNBC. Most people I know don’t like a lot of things about America, but they just don’t hate their country like the pinko commies lefties. America is not at all perfect, but we still are #1.
The last election proved Babs Streisand, Al Franken, that hag Garafalo, and their ilk are all that’s wrong with America and that we are tired of these elitists trying to tear us down.
