File Under Stupid Judges: Smiling Terrorist, Megahed, Wins Again; Deportation Case Dismissed
Earlier today, an immigration judge, Kenneth Hurewitz, threw out the government’s case to deport Youssef Megahed, one-half of the smiling terrorist team along with convicted terrorist Ahmed Mohamed. The two South Florida residents and University of South Florida were caught driving on a back highway in South Carolina, where they were stopped for speeding and questioned by a sharp, observant sheriff’s deputy near Goose Creek, South Carolina who found pipe bombs (which they said were “Just Fireworks!”) and encountered very suspicious behavior and lots of lying from the two.
Reports say Megahed and his family were “stunned” at the decision. Sure they are. Despite how stupid and gullible we are toward Muslims, they never cease to be amazed and how even more so we can continue to become despite evidence they want to kill us, of which there was plenty in this case. I’ve written a great deal about it.
Yes, Hurewitz’s absurd decision was despite plenty of evidence that he was part of an Islamic Jihad terrorist cell, connections to Islamic Jihad founder and front-man Sami Al-Arian, and his partner, Mohamed, made videos on how to turn remote control toys into bombs.
That was the evidence presented. But there was plenty of evidence that–for some strange reason–the government didn’t present, just as it had not done at a lame prosecution “attempt,” which it lost.
For example, I know for a fact–from my confidential law enforcement sources–that Megahed, one of the two smiling “just fireworks” terrrorists were headed for New York. I know that they had diving gear and were trying to buy guns at various Wal-Marts (the guns at Walmart part was presented in both cases, the diving gear wasn’t). I know that one of them was scheduled to fly out of New York the very next morning, and changed his flight when the police caught him. I know that when they were caught in their car in late afternoon on an August day and lied to police that they were going to see beaches, they had cans full of urine and feces in their car.
It appears that were in such a hurry to get to New York for one of them to be a homicide bomber from the water (after which the other surviving member of the team would fly back to the Mid-East) that they couldn’t stop even to take a pee.
Clearly they were up to something very dangerous–and not just the pipe bombs lazy prosecutors claimed at the failed criminal trial.
I also know that they knew and were in contact with one of the top Al-Qaeda terrorists on the FBI’s most wanted list. Another fact never introduced into evidence at either trial, to my knowledge. That’s not to mention, the pair’s friendship with a Muslim, Karim Moussaoui, who engaged in marriage fraud (a fact discovered by P.I. Bill Warner), illegal possession of firearms, and was caught in New York trying to flee the country very close to the time either Megahed or Mohamed was supposed to take off after some likely terrorist attack. (A fourth man, Ahmed Ishtay–a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship and a likely member of Islamic Jihad or HAMAS–made surveillance tapes of Tampa sites and was allowed to leave the country without prosecution.)
Sadly, Megahed’s family members just became American citizens. And, now, soon, he’ll likely be one, too.
I don’t blame the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lawyers on this. They had a clearly liberal judge and put on what sounded like a great case. I blame the prosecutors who blew the federal criminal trial, willingly. That’s where hardball should have been played and, instead, it was tea and cucumber sandwiches.
Yes, before you blame the Obama administration, remember that the lame, weak, hardly-attempted prosecution of Megahed began under the Bush administration. The Bush “Justice” Department gave his partner Mohamed an easy plea deal, not requiring him to testify or even help in the prosecution against Megahed.
Despite his rhetoric, Bush was as serious about going after Islamic terrorism as Obama. As in, not very. This is just the latest in a relinquished 9/11 legacy. He had eight years . . . the beginning of it stuffed with goodwill, so much so that even Rosie O’Donnell was, right after 9/11, cheering on George Bush. And he just blew it. Blew it all to hell, so he wouldn’t offend his Muslim buddies. A Presidency is only eight years at most. But a friendship with Saudi Muslims in Texas is forever.
Who needs Muslim comedy when they can just laugh at America instead? It’s a non-stop joke . . . on us.
The Megahed case is just the latest “bit.” And yet another reason why one-half of the Smiling “Just Fireworks” Terrorists is still smiling big and wide.
The government has until Monday to appeal. Let’s see if they have the guts.

Un-friggin-believable!! By the article, it looks like he is still behind bars. Perhaps someone could give him some Jailhouse Justice. And I am not talking about pussy-footing around with this piece of trash. I’m talking about him not producing any more carbon dioxide.
