Tweet of the Week: The Ebola President – The Walking Dead Prez Brings You the Deadly Walking

By Debbie Schlussel

The Walking Dead President brings the deadly walking to America. And we’re told it’s all good.

On Friday, I tweeted against Barack Obama’s latest brilliant idea of bringing two people infected with the Ebola Virus onto American soil. (Follow me on Twitter.) And I didn’t get any pushback because anyone with a brain knows it’s moronic to bring people with deadly diseases into the country. And, as I noted, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) doesn’t exactly have the world’s greatest track record on this stuff. Back in the day, the then-INS and other government agencies quarantined people with such diseases (and those far less deadly) and didn’t let them into the country. They were deported. That these are Americans shouldn’t matter in this case. But don’t reason with Obama.

I mean, didn’t Barack Obama see “The Walking Dead”? Yes, I say that a little facetiously and, of course, know that Ebola doesn’t turn people into zombies. But Ebola is deadly and easily spread. And it’s not a stretch seeing this spread beyond the two patients.

It’s nice that these two Americans chose–of their own volition–to go on their own and do charity work and attempt to cure others of Ebola. But they chose that. They knew the risks. This isn’t like men who served America in the military. These are private citizens who made choices and knew what could happen. And just because they chose to risk their lives, doesn’t mean America needs to subject itself to fatal diseases of this kind. It’s simply irresponsible and extremely risky to bring them here. It symbolizes a lack of compassion for everyone else who will now be put at risk.

People who enter a hospital in a HazMat suit because of what is contained in their bodies aren’t in those HazMat suits “just ‘cuz.” It’s because anyone who comes into contact with them–into contact with a single one of their germs (and hospitals are notorious for spreading those)–is at risk of contracting this disease and dying from it if it isn’t treated in time. One of the victims is an American doctor who was an expert in treating this virus, and look what happened. HazMat suits aren’t perfect, and eventually they have to be removed. Germs travel.

Would you want to be one of the medical professionals treating this guy–knowing that this expert couldn’t stop himself from being infected, and you yourself are at the same risk? Or a relative living with those medical professionals?

But Barack Obama’s open borders aren’t just for illegal aliens to slip in at the Southern border. Clearly, his borders–sadly, also our borders–are wide open for all sorts of communicable, fatal diseases and all other dangers to U.S. citizens. That’s why Obama also stopped testing aliens and immigrants for AIDS and HIV years ago, as I noted on this site. He doesn’t care about us. He and his wife and kids are truly protected from this virus. They have the best medical care in the world at their beck and call and don’t come into contact with the common man. We, on the other hand, are in the throes of full transfer to ObamaCare and have no such protections as those behind the guard of the Secret Service and the walls of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Today, it’s Ebola. Tomorrow, who knows what? There seem to be no limits to what we will allow on U.S. soil.

Good luck with that, America.

Let’s hope Ebola doesn’t spread. But what will you do if and when it does? Tell me not to panic?

By then, it will be too late to panic. It’ll be time to die.

We aren’t just importing the Third World. We’re becoming it.

The president, congress and their families are all exempt from Obamacare for life.

Anything to hurt the US….

The only thing I can think of – other than the President having the virus spread among the population – is to have a proposed vaccine tested on the doctor and others. If the virus did escape, it would be a political disaster for Obama and the Dems.

Concerned Citizen on August 4, 2014 at 4:02 pm

Just ebola? The illegal immigrants that the Douchebag-in-Chief is about to give amnesty to are carrying lice, mumps, chicken pox, measles, scabies, tuberculosis, whooping cough, AIDS, Herpes, and a host of other diseases.

At one time, if someone had one leg shorter than another, or an eye disease, or anything else, they were kept from entering America as they would spread disease or become a ward of the state.

Now, anything goes, Americans be damned. And we are.

Obama is a man on a mission. And for the last six years it’s been “Mission Accomplished!”
He doesn’t give a crap about Joe sixpack.
He’s a front man for the Globalists and rich Hollywood types, who enjoys living the Jet set lifestyle…Dontcha know?

ebayer on August 4, 2014 at 4:27 pm

How awesome would it be for some filthy rich, elitist, Odouchebag supporting degenerate, like, oh, say, Tom Hanks or Penelope Cruz or Cameron Diaz, to catch a whif of one of those Ebola germs?? Of course, that will never happen, as they never lower themselves to fly commercial aircraft with the bohemian rif raf who pay for their movie tickets.

Trigeek on August 5, 2014 at 9:48 am

And furthermore, what would prevent some deranged, jihadi believing anti westerner stealthily embedded there at Emory from intentionally spreading it? There are a lot of loose nuts out there willing to die themselves to make their twisted points.

Larry Durham on August 4, 2014 at 4:31 pm

Ebola is a hemorrhagic fever virus.

It has a mortality of 90%. Stephen King’s Captain Trips is here.

Obama’s idea of compassion is playing Russian Roulette with every one else’s lives.

Let’s hear it for Open Borders!

NormanF on August 4, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC is testing a patient for Ebola as we speak.

I agree that it’s dangerous to bring these two Americans home, but honestly I’d rather have them brought home under controlled circumstances than get MDR-TB, scabies, swine flu and now Ebola from some illegal alien who came over the border and is busy breathing and coughing all over the produce in the grocery store. But that’s just me.

jeannieology on August 4, 2014 at 4:50 pm

You can stand next to these people all week and not catch Ebola. Its transmitted though body fluids and is considered a low risk situation.

N: Is that why they wore HazMat suits? DS

Nick on August 4, 2014 at 4:57 pm

Sure Nick…Sure.

And all these Health care workers who caught the virus, while wearing Hazmat suits, did what?
Swap body fluids with their patients for fun?

And as for “standing next to these people all week”…go ahead pal.
But I’ll pass.

ebayer on August 4, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Hazmat suits can be breached. However, people exsanguinate when they die of this—at that point lies the msit danger.

At any rate, medical professionals are medical professionals. I drew blood from HIV positive patients in my residency, I’m sure of that; I have been physically assaulted by a patient with Hepatitis C. Risks of the profession.

I would rather treat an ebola patient in a BSL-4 containment facility with waldoes than do so in Africa. But I might have chosen UTMB over Atlanta for this one.

    Occam's Tool on August 4, 2014 at 9:05 pm

I remember a few years ago during a flu epidemic wehre there was a shortage of vaccine, induced by Government over-regulation, (Bush was President then) the CDC said that priority for flu shots should be given to pregnant women, and older people, who were at just as high risk, were cast aside in virtually all cases. Of course the pregnant women were disproportionally illegal aliens and welfare mothers, while the older people had worked all their lives to build a decent civilization.

Little Al on August 4, 2014 at 6:55 pm

We are a Third World country now.

Worry on August 4, 2014 at 7:38 pm

This particular strain of Ebola remains asymptomatic for up to 3 weeks.

Nick, not a good idea to let them sneeze on you. In less than 3 weeks, your guts will be rotting and blood will be pouring from your eyeballs (and other orifices) and you will STILL BE ALIVE! Or as National Geographic so gently put it in their recent article, “Ebola causes an intensive inflammatory response then the patient dies of shock.” How very politically correct of them!

It is horror and gore, highly contagious and incurable. So yeah, let’s import a disease from another continent. Brilliant idea! Or is it intentional? With the elections coming up in 13 weeks and Republicans on a roll, what a way to stop the momentum. And even declare Martial Law…

And the complicit CDC thinks having airport agents eyeball travelers for potential illness (remember, there is a 3-week window before symptoms show up) is using enough caution. Just because a passenger doesn’t collapse in the airport doesn’t mean he’s not collapsing at home in Cleveland, OH and his wife is trying to care for him – exposing herself and everyone at the grocery store. 30 years ago banning travel to and from the Ebola-stricken countries was the FIRST thing they did. Why the delay this time?

Occam – over 100 medical personnel have been infected with Ebola so far. So much for Hazmat suits and other precautions because as you know, the hands are where the danger lies. Needles, sharp cutting objects… one little slip, there you go. And people aren’t necessarily upfront about it if they think they’ve been exposed. Away they go, exposing others because they don’t want to be quarantined.

Read The Hot Zone if you want to know why the only disease that keeps Level 4 *hot zone* scientists up at night is Ebola.

LRL on August 5, 2014 at 3:14 am

    Speaking of “The Hot Zone’
    Here ya go:
“In October 1989 people in the community of Reston, Virginia went about their daily lives not realizing that a serious crisis was developing right in their back yards that would not be entirely resolved until March 1990. It was a serious calamity that could have wiped out the entire population. This dire emergency was described twenty years ago by Richard Preston in his non-fiction book, “The Hot Zone.” The “hot zone” refers to an “area that contains lethal, infectious organisms” also dubbed “hot agent,” an “extremely lethal virus, potentially airborne.” (Richard Preston, The Hot Zone, Random House, New York, 1994, p. 296)”

ebayer on August 5, 2014 at 3:19 am

Great. Now it is airborne. Wonderful. Again, the only pl;ace to study this is in a BSL-4–WITH WALDOES.

    Occam's Tool on August 6, 2014 at 10:32 am

As usual to get the answer. just follow the money. There’s going to be a lot of money made on ebola, just like cancer. Just think of the research, the government grants, the fund raising. How about the money now being spent in bringing the two patients back to the States and the care for them. And who do you think will benefit from Obama’s compassion? This is just another Obama program to benefit his friends.

Jerry G on August 5, 2014 at 9:34 am

Not to worry. I just read an article from the always pathetic Associated Press saying everything is fine and people living right by the hospital have no concerns about Ebola. Of course, being in Atlanta, I imagine most of them are LIVs who wouldn’t know Ebola from their elbow. They do sound kind of the same, right. Goodbye, American Pie.

JeffT on August 5, 2014 at 9:35 am

Yeah, well, I live seven miles from the CDC……………AND I’M TAKING IT SERIOUSLY!

Trigeek on August 5, 2014 at 9:49 am

Actually, Ebola spreading into the hoods surrounding the CDC would not be a bad thing. The neighborhoods surrounding the CDC are rife with a very heavy concentration of elitist, liberal dirt bags. Maybe this event will shake a few of them up and get them to look at life different…………..as the hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the Boston neighborhoods last year hopefully caused many wussified anti-gun, lib scum living there to reassess their anti-gun stances………as they cowered in their basements, clinging to brooms and golf clubs, hoping and praying that Tsarnaev would not bust through their back door.

Trigeek on August 5, 2014 at 9:55 am

Except that—if it can be passed by coughing blood on you, or airborne droplets—we might have a problem.

Waldoes, BSL-4 is my recommendation, folks.

      Occam's Tool on August 6, 2014 at 10:36 am

I’ve talked to many libs recently and even though they were once (and some still are) staunch Obamaphiles, every one of them was against this last Obama faux pas. The Dems can’t be very happy about this latest fiasco.

NormCBS on August 5, 2014 at 10:15 am

another cloward-piven straw to overload our nation: ebola will ‘accidentally’ get out into the polulation – obamboozle will learn about it on the news – and it will wipe out a good segment of voting conservatives here in the south before it’s contained. then it will be massive budget over spending on programs to cure and/or lessen the ebola virus. new government agencies created to control the movement of americans. that will cost hundreds of billions more. etc, etc, etc…

kirche61 on August 5, 2014 at 10:17 am

btw – the pic with this article was truly horrible and grotesque… what condition are the 10% of ebola survivors in? permanent scarring and muscle/nerve damage? lifelong problems from areas they bled heavily from? would a persons’ eyes recover fully after hemorrhaging? i’d be curious to hear about this and the massive on-going medical problems for survivors.

kirche61 on August 5, 2014 at 10:22 am

Sorry to scare you but there is now an airborne mutation.

Canadian Steve on August 6, 2014 at 2:54 am

    Oh great.
