Obama Bowe Bergdahl Whitewash Begins: “No Misconduct While in Captivity” Says Army

By Debbie Schlussel

Bowe Bergdahl’s name quickly disappeared from the headlines. And, so, the Obama Administration’s whitewash of his desertion begins. This week, the U.S. Army officially declared that there is no evidence of any misconduct by Bergdahl a/k/a “Abdullah” while in captivity . . . without ever having spoken with him about his time in captivity.

Yes, this doesn’t mean that there was no misconduct before captivity and at the point of his desertion. But this is the beginning of that being whitewashed, too. Bergdahl has only briefly been in the U.S. Military investigators still haven’t interviewed him. And yet they have already decided–without speaking to him–that he is innocent. Huh? And that’s aside from the fact that there is no way they could have covered and investigated the full five years in captivity and reached this conclusion so fast, despite reports that Bergdahl gave the Taliban information on how to attack Americans effectively.

Bergdahl hasn’t even been read his rights because military investigators don’t believe they’ll be charging him with any crime. And he’ll get away with it all. That’s clearly in the works, despite phony assurances by Obama’s Pentagon that a thorough investigation would be conducted. If there was any belief that Bergdahl deserted (as the government had long ago concluded that he did and as his fellow unit members confirmed) or that Bergdahl may have committed any misconduct, he would have been read his rights and given an attorney already. That hasn’t happened. And it hasn’t happened because he’s going to be cleared. Whitewashed completely. Alhamdulilah [praise allah].

The U.S. Army said Wednesday that there is no evidence that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl engaged in any misconduct during his five years in captivity. Sgt. Bergdahl is the focus of a continuing Army investigation trying to determine whether he attempted to desert his unit on June 30, 2009 while stationed at a small U.S. outpost in eastern Afghanistan. If charged with desertion, Sgt. Bergdahl could face court-martial, prison time and, in the most extreme sentence, the death penalty.

They won’t give him the death penalty. Just watch. They won’t even charge him.

The Army investigation was launched after some soldiers who served with Sgt. Bergdahl accused him of deserting. A classified 2009 investigation concluded that Sgt. Bergdahl voluntarily left the outpost, but stopped short of characterizing his intentions because the Army wasn’t able to talk to the soldier while he was held by Afghan insurgents, according to officials familiar with the findings.

Some soldiers who served with Sgt. Bergdahl speculated that he had helped his captors while being held, but Army officials said Wednesday that there is no indication that he did so. “We have no reason to believe that he engaged in any misconduct” during the five years he was held captive, said one Army official. . . .

Sgt. Bergdahl hasn’t spoken with Army officials appointed last week to investigate his 2009 disappearance and he won’t be interviewed for several weeks, while he adjusts to life back in the U.S., officials said. Sgt. Bergdahl hasn’t made any public comments since his release.

The investigation would normally be finished in 60 days, or by mid-August, but this review is expected to take longer because officials are waiting for Sgt. Bergdahl to complete his recovery process in Texas, officials said. The probe then will be handed over to Army officials who will decide whether there is any reason to discipline him.

Army officials said Sgt. Bergdahl has been cooperative, hasn’t asked to speak to an attorney and hasn’t been advised of his right to have a lawyer represent him. The Army has resumed paying Sgt. Bergdahl’s Army salary, but is withholding much of his back pay until the investigation is complete.

This doesn’t make sense. How can they say he’s “been cooperative” when the military investigators haven’t even spoken with him?

And, again, how can they conclude he did no wrong during captivity when they–again–haven’t spoken to him?

Like I said, this is a gargantuan hint of one thing and one thing only: a complete and total whitewash.

And after that, Bowe Bergdahl can make millions through Oprah/OWN appearances, book and movie deals, and so on.

You know that’s gonna happen.

First strange comments by regime officials and media showed that a whitewash was on the horizon, They attacked his fellow troops — those who remained loyal to the USA. This Bergdahl will get feted at the WH, given a position with his moslem brotherly hood punks already infesting our agencies! Maybe a Medal of Freedom and big bonus to boot!

Bowing to islam brings great favors from khalifa Barry Sotero.

Our government is becoming ever more corrupt. The military is not immune from this decay. We should not wait for some investigation to bring some just result. The powerful have cast aside any sense of restraint or decency, if these things interfere with a desired outcome. The United States as we have known it is is passing away.

This:

“the U.S. Army officially declared that there is no evidence of any misconduct by Bergdahl a/k/a “Abdullah” while in captivity”

is a direct result of this:

“without ever having spoken with him about his time in captivity.”

Most western ‘Christian’ churches are not very Christian. I live in Texas which is supposedly Christian. But most churches here build monuments for themselves. It’s interesting and I admit that I honestly don’t know much about
Babtist’s but only that they must confess faith before being baptized. To me this seems strange.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Pollard rots in prison, for providing information to a friendly nation, something which most people in the same situation never get charged with.

Incidentally, did you hear the that military (I believe the army) is now actively targeting transgenders for recruitment???? Heard this from a military friend about a year ago, and I thought it was a joke. It wasn’t. Al Queda must be laughing up a storm.

I don’t understand everyone frothing about some person like berghdal. The rot starts at Obama and until he is gone nothing changes, just gets worse.
Sadly, I do believe the rot is now imbedded into institutions.. US Supreme court.. when a US supreme court justice cites foreign law… (Kenedy sp)

And Alan Gross is near death. I guess the Jews are the only people who are guilty.

Little Al on June 27, 2014 at 4:47 pm

Until this nation releases Pollard, no Jew should help this nation in any war fighting capacity. This country needs to apologize for every wrong it has committed against the Jewish people.

I wonder who’ll be released first, Alan Gross or Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.

FriscoKid on June 27, 2014 at 5:12 pm

I doubt if any US company would want to hire Bergdahl, so Obama may as well give him a cabinet post. Maybe ambassador to Libya, if that position is still open.

The army’s behavior before and after Ft. Hood, and now with Bergdahl indicate that, at least at the upper levels, it’s a wholly political institution completely in sync with the leftists who run the White House. Seriously doubt I’d send my child to one of the military academies at this point.

Told ya that Bergdahl wasn’t going to be charged.
Confirmed once he was received at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC)…”outpatient” counseling.
…don’t be shocked if he “returns” to “his” unit either…possibly a reserve unit. Bronze Star? …Silver Star??? …instructor at Bragg SERE??
Back in the late ’90’s, 3 idiots went for a joy ride in some Hummers at Camp Able Sentry (CAS), when they were “captured.” They were told to drive the HMMVs from post to the vehicle pool-if I remember correctly-when they were “captured.” Then, ol’ Jesse Jackson went-as an ambassador-to gain their “release.”
Voila! Three Bronze Stars…for disobeying orders…incident wouldn’t of happened if they stayed on the hardball.

Sick_Boy on June 27, 2014 at 7:24 pm

It was a guaranteed whitewash from the moment the parents appeared at the press announcement with the president.

Although I believe the overall rot that infests the federal government today is lower in the military services than in all the other agencies and institutions; that belief stops at about Colonel rank. The rot is well established in the flag officer ranks and DOD.

RA2216 on June 28, 2014 at 7:55 am

You are correct RA2216. Some generals have forgotten the reason they joined the military, just like some agents that got to D.C., and forgot why they became agents. Now they are just “yes men” to their leader in order to keep the cushy, well-paying jobs they have. They have no honor anymore.

Interesting article detailing some of the fun ways the high tech weaponry that’s been funneled to the Taliban / Al Qaeda under the Obama administration is being put to good use.

Hopefully Bergdahl will be returned to his unit where he’ll receive from them the punishment he deserves. Just wishful thinking. It will never happen. He’ll probably receive a high post in the administration because of his knowledge of Islam.

Jerry G on June 28, 2014 at 9:23 am

He was just doing what his C-in-C wanted, ya know.

I expect verminous stuff by now.

Occam's Razor on June 28, 2014 at 3:50 pm

This was a whitewash in the making with that stupid Rose Garden appearance by the deserter’s parents. I still cringe thinking about how Odumbo smiled when daddy Bergdahl started talking in Arabic, Pushtu or Terrorist speak or whatever the hell. Since we do have idiots in the positions of CinC, Sec Def, Joint Chief of Staff Chairman and Sec of the Army Bergdahl will get a pass. The left in this country praise this loser while veterans died while seeking care from the VA. It’s a sad state of affairs that we have here folks.

Ken b on June 28, 2014 at 4:40 pm

This trading of 5 top terrorists for this Bergdahl fellow is disgraceful. It seems President Obama care more for the moslems than he does America. And Bergdahl Sr. is just disgraceful mention garbage from Islam at his White House appearance. I’m just disgusted.
