Bowe Abdullah Bergdahl: Parents Not Told Son Died to Find Him; Soldiers Forced to Sign Non-Disclosure; More Odd Revelations Re Bowe

By Debbie Schlussel

As more and more information comes out about the real Abdullah Bergdahl (the artist formerly known as Bowe Bergdahl), it’s very strange and despicable the way both Bergdahl and our government acted. Just a few of the revelations you probably didn’t read elsewhere:

bergdahlsix

* The parents of 2nd Lt. Darryn Andrews, one of the soldiers who died trying to find Al-Bergdahl, were never told by the Army that their son died in that search.

“Where is the honor in any of this?” asked Andy Andrews of Texas, whose son was killed in eastern Afghanistan two months after Sgt. Bergdahl disappeared.Mr. Andrews and his wife said they knew their son, 2nd Lt. Darryn Andrews, had taken part in the search for Sgt. Bergdahl. But the couple said in an interview Monday they only learned this week from soldiers who served with their son that he died while searching for Sgt. Bergdahl.

“Honorable soldiers risked their lives for someone who was a deserter, a traitor,” said Sondra Andrews, Lt. Andrews’s mother. “It devalues their lives.”

Wow. Their son made the ultimate sacrifice for America (and, apparently for Abdullah Bergdahl), and the U.S. doesn’t even have the guts to tell them the truth about how their son died? This is a far more legitimate source for outrage than the endless Pat Tillman trutherism to which America was subjected.

* Bowe Bergahl mailed home all of his belongings before deserting and spent a lot of time with the Afghan police–you know, the guys who’ve repeatedly shot up and murdered U.S. troops even though we were training them to take over.

“I think he’s a deserter,” said former Army Spc. Cody Full, a one-time roommate of Sgt. Bergdahl’s. “More than a handful of soldiers got Purple Hearts looking for him.” . . . . Mr. Full said that Sgt. Bergdahl mailed home all his personal belongings, including his computer, before he moved to a small observation post in Afghanistan. “Why would you mail all your stuff home unless you were not going to ever need it again?” he said. . . . Mr. Full, 25 years old, described Sgt. Bergdahl as an unusual soldier, a recluse with odd ideas. Before he disappeared, Sgt. Bergdahl talked about walking from Afghanistan to China, Mr. Full said. He added that he was suspicious of the large amount of time Sgt. Bergdahl spent with Afghan police officers at the remote post.

* Why didn’t we hear the details about Abdullah Bergdahl f/k/a Bowe’s desertion before last weekend’s outrageous Gitmo prisoner release? In a highly unusual and sickening move, Obama’s Pentagon forced those who served with him to sign non-disclosure agreements. That’s outrageous, perhaps as outrageous as releasing the Taliban Five for Bergdahl.

Soldiers in Bergdahl’s platoon have claimed they were forced to sign a highly unusual nondisclosure agreement covering his disappearance in an apparent attempt to cover up what happened. Two soldiers who spoke to MailOnline said the letter was passed around by commanders to those close to Sgt. Bergdahl. The ploy backfired, however, as a number of soldiers spoke out regardless in angry Facebook messages and media interviews.

Have you EVER heard of that before? I mean, this isn’t like the Navy SEALs kill of Bin Laden. Just the opposite, in fact–an American soldier deserting and defecting to Bin Laden’s allies. And, yet, they try to swear military men to silence about wrongdoing? Will the Obama Administration now go after these men who violated this ridiculous agreement and came out to tell us the truth? I hope not, but I’ll willingly represent any of them to whom that happens.

I’m sure we will hear more and more of these highly outrageous and unusual facts surrounding Abdullah Bergdahl. Many, including myself, have compared it to Showtime’s “Homeland.” But, in “Homeland,” nobody believed the truth-tellers until it was too late. Americans, in real-life are waking up to the Bergdahl outrage, something Obama and his minions never contemplated.

Life imitates art. But in this case, life is far stranger and more outrageous than the art.

Exactly the reason we have no business being there.

And we sent brave men on a mission that was all risk and no real gain.

Bowe Bergdahl is the public face of Obama’s failed Afghanistan policy.

How fortunate for Bowe that his father now speaks fluent Arabic and english and now is in a position to translate for him and also reintroduce him to his community.

I don’t remember hearing any stories of family members learning Japanese or German for captured soldiers during WWII.
Or Korean during the Korean conflict
Or Vietnamese during the Vietnam War.

Yet,for some reason,Bob Bergahl decided to to learn the language and ways of the Arab? What was his motivation?
Did he have some psychic foresight that this day would come and his son would need someone to ease his transition back into American culture?
Where did he find such an instructor in Haily,Idaho?
A town of about 6,500 at the time of Bowe’s disappearance.

I mean we’ve seen many cases of Americans beheaded by their Arab captors,Daniel Pearl,Nick Berg and in 2006 two US soldiers were abducted in Iraq, tortured and executed.
But for some reason Bowe Bergahl’s fate was to be different.

To echo that Norman, it’s another in a looooooooong line of failures and, worse yet, atrocities committed by this administration to the detriment of this nation, its armed forces, and its citizens.

“…Obama’s failed Afghanistan policy.”

It depends on what side you’re looking from. His police triumphed spectacularly for Taliban.

Way to go everyone. This is America. Innocent until proven guilty!!!

“This is America. Innocent until proven guilty!!!”

Wrong, idiot. Soldiers are covered by the UCMJ – martial law – not the Constitution.

At least Richard Nixon had the dignity to resign.

Oh, it’s libtard Lee (note the capital “L”).

Courtroom? Doesn’t look or feel like a courtroom, here. Jury duty? I haven’t even received my notice.

Innocent until proven guilty? At trial, for sure. I’ve never seen any of the regular contributors at this site express a contrary view; certainly not Debbie, herself. None here, if seated on a jury, would be unable to set aside any and all preconceived judgements to consider only evidence presented at trial to arrive at a correct verdict.

Unlike a stopped clock, it seems Lee never gets it right! Grateful to skzion for not getting us confused!

    Well put, lee.

Here’s some good news: Bowe Bergdahl’s hometown in Idaho cancelled his “Welcome Home” celebration. Crowd control issues were cited. There must be more.

This story is getting more bizzaro by the day.

Mean time, at the intellectual wasteland that is National Review, not a single interesting point or datum about this issue can be found. The Editors are particularly unimpressive. John Fund is as well. I don’t read Fraudkin, Charon, Will, or the other retreads, morons, or bores there, so I can’t comment on them.

skzion on June 5, 2014 at 2:56 am

I noticed that Lee didn’t reply to any of the rebuttals. He makes an asinine comment and then hunkers down in his parents basement bedroom for a day of blogging, tweeting. MOM, MEATLOAF!

At EBayer:
Better than “Rosetta Stone”: Pimsleur; a more conversational approach vice pictures and memory.

At least in the Navy for the accused etc.:
Executive Officer Inquiry (XOI)
Captain’s Mast (Mast) (Non-Judicial Punishment)
General Court Martial.
A good prosecutor could stick a multitude of UCMJ violations on this POS. Conduct Unbecoming of a NCO, defection, AWOL, general, UA, possibly treason, aid/comfort, and sodomy (he put it in every one of us).

Rumor has it that Bergdahl might NOT be prosecuted-at ANY level-because the official talking point is that he “served” with “Honor and Distinction.” wtf? Top down, bottom up, inside out…fundamental transformation.
As far as the NDA’s:
Keep one’s mouth shut….you mean like the “outing” of the CIA station chief in Afghanistan? What is/was the sunset of the NDA’s? What is/was the justification of the NDA’s? “National Security? Troop movement(s)? Little green men? Located the Spear of Destiny? …bravo sierra. It is/was called a “cover-up,” some could call it a RICO. He’ll probably get the “PTSD” label also. fn pos.

And, who’s the chick Obama groped on the way out to the podium for this? Bill Parks?)http://www.black-and-right.com/ has the photos posted. He asks, as I do, Who is that women, and why did Obama treat her that way, practically ignoring the traitor, all the way out to the stage?

d-blog on June 5, 2014 at 1:53 pm

I’m sorry. This is the link directly to the photos of the women in question.

You really have to wonder what is going on with Obama. Maybe Obama is actually an enemy agent, falsely elected, whose mission is to destroy America for his black theologian and communist friends.

Thanks Debbie. The number of idiots who still don’t see the treasonous actions of our Muslim-in-chief is simply mind boggling.
