Kids with Fish Bowls: Latest Animal Rights “Criminals”

By
It’s official: Your kids may be animal rights offenders. If they own fish and keep them in fish bowls.
In fact, if you live in Rome, your kids are breaking the law. In Rome, fish bowls are now banned–for being inhumane to fish.
Not surprisingly, the loons at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals–as opposed to the better PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals) have given the Rome city councilwoman behind this absurd new law, Monica Cirinna, an award for going “further protecting fish than anywhere else in the world.” PETA has a “Fish Empathy Project.” Is JAWS included? Yes, I have a lot of empathy for the sharks that have been eating beachside swimmers and surfers. Don’t you?

Fish Bowl: Latest Crime Against Humanity . . . er, Animalty

Said Cirinna, “It’s good to do whatever we can for our animals who in exchange for a little love fill our existence with their attention.” Is she having an affair with her goldfish? It certainly sounds like it.
Go here for more absurd examples of how our Italian friends and their government invade citizens’ lives on behalf of animals. No wonder PETA likes that country.
Next, they’ll be calling aquariums, “Weapons of Mass Destruction.”

If Rome wants to follow through with this stupid law, then Rome should follow through. Deb, some country needs to be told what to do. Much like the Frog-eating faggots the French with Nazi Germany.
I have Hispanic friends in East L.A. who hate PETA and eat hot dogs, burritos, tacos, chicken in front of rpotesting PETA members and a few other friends who carry signs that read PUTA or People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals. In Spanish, Puta is slang for whore.

Raging Rabbits

No lie. Check it out. The city of Rome has now banned the old-fashioned spherical fishbowls because they supposedly harm…

That’s really funny. I knew PETA was strange, but not that it had a fish FEPish. Did Kinsey catalogue that one? Humans get stranger and stranger…

Look for this lunacy to come here in the not-too-distant future.
I’m surprised they didn’t outlaw ALL forms of fish tanks…..after all, by owning ANY fishtank, people are forcing the fish to swim in their own urine and feces.

“…fish are interesting individuals who deserve our respect and compassion…”
How can any sane person not laugh his/her touchas off over some of the stuff these moonbats say with straight faces?
Here in San Francisco, where every one of these wacky orgs has an HQ, I proudly and often wear my “Animals: It’s what’s for dinner” ball cap. 🙂

The Great Animal Rights Abuse: Fish Bowls!

Debbie notices that Italy has banned fish bowls as cruel to animals. It’s part of a “Fish Empathy Project.”

This actually makes me really happy. Fish bowls are really nothing but death traps. Do you know what happens to a goldfish kept in a bowl? The amount of ammonia produced by their waste poisons the water, stunting their bodies and causes all sorts of health problems. Did you know a goldfish can live for over 40 years if cared for properly? Most people have no idea a goldfish can live for more than 2 years, and consider them a very short-lived fish, because they are kept in bowls which kill them much sooner than their lifespans. A typical goldfish will get anywhere from 10-18″ long. That’s bigger than the standard bowl itself, and people somehow think this is a decent home for them? I really wish a law like this would come up in North America and keep all the idiots who cram giant fish into tiny bowls from attempting to justify their actions.

fish are very intelligent and should never be in a tiny bowl….nuff said.
