California Foundation Pays to Pimp ObamaCare on Your Fave TV Show, Movie
Will the broadcast of your favorite TV show–or the digital projection of that movie you want to see–malfunction as badly as the ObamaCare website? Nope, but TV shows and movies will pimp the “wonders” of ObamaCare, thanks to a California foundation.
The California Endowment, a private foundation that is spending millions to promote President Barack Obama’s signature law, recently provided a $500,000 grant to ensure TV writers and producers have information about the Affordable Care Act that can be stitched into plot lines watched by millions. The aim is to produce compelling prime-time narratives that encourage Americans to enroll, especially the young and healthy, Hispanics and other key demographic groups needed to make the overhaul a success.
“We know from research that when people watch entertainment television, even if they know it’s fiction, they tend to believe that the factual stuff is actually factual,” said Martin Kaplan of the University of Southern California’s Norman Lear Center, which received the grant.
Hmmmm . . . who’s funding the California Endowment? And why are those contributors financing the selling out of American medical care?
We’ll never know unless someone sues and obtains that info through a court order or subpoena. But one thing we might see real soon:
The CIA agents on “Homeland” foil the terrorists after getting fabulous medical care from the world’s greatest team of doctors. And America is saved.
Reality:
The CIA agents on “Homeland,” including the politically correct Muslim character, who loves America and hates–hates!–terrorism, get better medical care than you’ll ever hope for because they remain on the federal plan along with Kathleen Sebelius and the Obama and Biden families. Meanwhile, you are struggling to find an expensive, black market way to see the doctor you really like because he is NOT allowed to see you under your ObamaCare plan . . . the plan you may get in 1.5 years when the Healthcare.flub website is fixed temporarily.
And while you are struggling to get healthcare and afford your premiums, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the UndieBomber, gets far better medical care for his damaged penis because he’s in federal prison, which is not covered by ObamaCare.
Thanks, Hollywood!
The beauty of foreknowledge is that it allows us to avoid this attempt at propaganda. I will not watch anything that delves into the “benefits” of the ACA, which is an unmitigated disaster. Thanks for the warning.
