HILARIOUS VIDEO: Sunday Night in America!

By Debbie Schlussel

On Sunday Night, this is going on at an NFL game in America. Meanwhile, at the same time, people in China are studying math and science and stealing our secrets (and counting their interest from our many loans) . . . . On the other hand, probably much worse goes on at parties held by anyone with the last name Kardashian or the first name, “Real Housewife.” Anyway, it’s good for an end-of-weekend-it’s-almost-Monday, laugh.

I don’t get what’s so funny. Is it raining and he doesn’t care?

Well, I spent my Sunday making a model gain stage for an op-amp work for a school project. That counts as math AND science

Good Morning! The guys in the booth were truly enjoying watching the fan in the seat getting that last kernel of “popped” popcorn into his mouth. Did it remind anyone of he story that Turkeys will stand in the rain open their mouths, and drown? (Myth or not? You research it.)

SCIENCE PROJECT: Research DDT vs in-place Ban of DDT and the mosquito situation now brewing in the flood zones of Colorado.
(Hint: The Mosquito Killer).

Also, see Peak Oil Theory vs A-Biotic Oil Theory.

Here’s a challenge: Develop an advanced method to scrub Coal Pollutants so Coal-fired Plants can be still be used in the generation of ELECTRICITY. There is a 200 – 300 year supply of coal in the Montana / Wyoming / Dakotas area. Wouldn’t it be more economical to find a solution to the pollution instead of killing the industry? OR…would it be better to figure-out what Tesla was attempting to do to generate unlimited electric power? (see WIZARD and / or contact the Dexter, MI Elementary school system, 5th Graders, and what they have learned about Tesla.)

Enjoying sporting events is fun, but what are you going to do with all your other time?

Debbie, you are correct in noting what the Chinese are doing and how many, many of Americans have no idea of how critically lacking we are in the STEM subjects.

The U.S. graduates approx. 70,000 – 75,000 Engineers/Yr. China, alone, graduates approx. 375,000 Engineers/Yr.

People, the only reason we are still afloat is that the U.S. Dollar is the Reserve Currency of the World. That could change in the blink of an eye since we are $200 – $220 Trillion in total debt.

Please think about the entire situation and how we will keep ourselves and our progeny safe and viable.

ps: Student Loan Debt is over a Trillion, but are recent Grads developing anything economically viable or are they watching Sports?

Debbie
Great article. Dennis really told the truth. Far too many Americans are lax and not developing skills.

I would laugh my head off at Dick Gregory and his disciples if Mainland China would absolutely overrun Somalia and the entire continent of Africa.

The Chicoms have been nice guys so far on the world stage but 5 years from now, we may have hell to pay.

Debbie, while I don’t disagree that perhaps Americans should spend more time studying and a whole lot less texting and tweeting, I would like to correct that this was NOT last night’s NFL game, it was a college football game on Saturday that was a complete blowout between Stanford and Washington State, that Stanford won 53-17. The fan is just illustrating what a complete bore this game was, and the announcers clearly thought that a guy eating his popcorn was w-a-a-a-y more interesting than what was going on on the field.

Why worry? The government has everything under control …

(long time Debbie readers will understand my profoundly acidic sarcasm)

I spent Sunday night (part of it) reading DS, and followed that up by scouring the bowels of the internet.

While it’s true that the Chinese are fantastic thieves, a great deal of the technology they have acquired has been legally through US companies that wish to do business with them,(to our detriment of course), but the pursuit of the all mighty dollar wins out every time.

The game Americans call foot ball or grid iron is so boring that it is little wonder that fan decided that it was time to get drunk…
It is true though, the west is getting lazier ,the US government is playing poltical games in an effort to gain strength ( in medieval europe ,there would be a war underway by now) and china is having a real laugh…at least until the spending money stops rolling in.
Even the Russians make funnier videos. http://youtu.be/WD2Dhnu3tP0
