No Tears for Yariv Horowitz: French Muslims Beat Unconscious Israeli Director of Anti-Israel Film

By Debbie Schlussel

I can’t say I shed any tears for Yariv Horowitz. He’s an anti-Israel Israeli Jew, who made an anti-Israel movie, hosted a special screening of it in France for Arab Muslim youths, and then those “youths” beat him senseless. In fact, I’d say it’s poetic justice . . . and yet more proof of what we already knew: that Muslims hate all Jews, no matter who they are–how self-hating and anti-Semitic the Jews are. This dumbass, Horowitz, actually believed that if he made an anti-Israel movie and showed it to Arab Muslims, they would love him. Wake up, teepesh (Hebrew for “dummy”).

Yariv Horowitz: Anti-Israel Israeli Gets Beaten Unconscious By Arab Muslims He Thought Were His Homies

Horowitz is yet another candidate for “Lunch in Tulkarem“–a term I and my late father invented after two Israeli leftists went to have lunch at their Palestinian Muslim buddies’ restaurant in the city of Tulkarem, and left in body bags, sliced up into pieces. Horowitz is your typical Israeli filmmaker–far-left, anti-Israel, and engaged in making movies that make Israel look like the bad guy and Israeli soldiers and Palestinian terrorists morally equivalent. That’s the case with his new movie, “Rock the Casbah,” the trailer of which is below. The film is so anti-Israel that it won a “Special Prize of the Jury for Best Picture” at a French film festival.

The message of the movie, according to Horowitz, is the experience of a young Israeli soldier stationed in a Palestinian town: “the senselessness of armed action, which only ever creates yet more injustice.” Translation: pick up your marbles and retreat, Israel, because defending your country is senseless and only creates yet more injustice. And as a reward for this Islamo-pandering, Yariv Horowitz got his:

A group of Arab youths have reportedly attacked an Israeli film director, Yariv Horowitz. Horowitz, who directed the film “Rock the Casbah” was participating at a film festival in France when he was attacked by a group of Arab youths just before the film won the best film award, unconfirmed reports suggest.

He apparently lost consciousness and has been subsequently treated. Horowitz is said to have returned immediately to the festival after treatment. Authorities are estimating that the attack was racially motivated.

Horowitz, who represents Israel, is said to have been attacked after the screening of the film by a group of Arab youths. The director apparently lost consciousness and was treated at the festival, though some say he declined to file a police report. Various reports are still unconfirmed. After recovering from the blows he received, he is said to have returned to the festival area in “good condition”.After the incident, Horowitz’s film won the Special Prize of the Jury for Best Picture. Israeli singer and musician Assaf Amdursky also received an award for a movie he wrote music.

The film “Rock the Casbah”, starring Yon Tumarkin, follows the story of young soldiers in the first intifada in Gaza. The soliders are located on the roof of a Palestinian family whose son is involved in the murder of one of their battalion.

So sad, too bad. But, watch, Horowitz will go back and make another cinematic circle jerk to Islam. That’s what he does. Don’t expect him to ever make a film showing the brutality he faced at the hands of Muslims, merely because he is Jewish and despite being an anti-Israel, self-hating Jew.

No tears for this momzer (Hebrew for “bastard”). He got what he deserved.

sanforddummy.jpg

***

Here is the summary of the movie, put out by Horowitz and his film distributor:

The Gaza Strip in the early summer of 1989. A company of young Israeli soldiers reports for duty in the occupied area. Continuous clashes with the Palestinian population soon claim their first fatality: one of the soldiers, Iliya, is killed when a washing machine is dropped on him from the rooftop of an apartment block. The perpetrator escapes. In order to find him, their commanding officer orders some of the soldiers to take up position on the roof for the weekend. In spite of vehement protests from the building’s Palestinian owner, who fears being considered a collaborator, Aki, Ariel, Haim and Tomer begin their vigil. A lounger is set up and they listen to rock music on their transistor radio. But when the dead soldier Iliya’s father, now a broken man, pays them a visit they realise each and every one of them will lose their innocence in that place.

All the action of Yariv Horowitz’s film takes place in just a few days. His drama explores the psychological effects of the Arab-Israeli conflict on those involved. In particular the experiences of Tomer, who has only just reached adulthood, reflect the senselessness of armed action, which only ever creates yet more injustice.

Sad to say, Yariv Horowitz is not alone.

The entire Israeli elite is defending their country’s abasement before Islam.

No one in “enlightened” Israeli circles understands that peace with the Arabs, let alone genuine reconciliation with the Turks, in truth is impossible.

No – I don’t shed any tears for Horowitz – he got his richly deserved comeuppance and none too soon.

And Israel will have learned nothing and forgotten everything from a vicious Arab attack upon a Jew.

Here are some truths about Islam that can make good film entertainment.

      Things I like about Islam:

      1. GANG BANGING unveiled women.

      2. HONOR KILLING any family member who embarrassed the family.

      3. Buggering little boys

      4. Beatiality to keep things interesting.

      5. Pedophilia. After all, Mohammed married a nine year old girl.

      6. Muslim toilets that are a hole in The floor. It gets a little messy and you smell like shit all day.

      7. Beating wives. It makes for great make up sex

      8. Blood shed for fun.

      9. Be headings in the town square, cannibalizig bodies, dragging thru the streets. Every day is Benghazi in the Muslim world

10 Most of all, taking over countries sich as Britain, Denmark and Sweden and dhimmis turning over freedom and their countries TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THEM. Before you know it, 100 men have raped, sodomized, beheaded, and dragged a woman thru the street because part of her ankle was not covered.

It is here in America today.

We just learned that Gilad Shalit was a moron and a physical coward who failed to defend himself from Islamic terrorists:

It was for this ingrate “tepeesh” that Israel released over 1500 Islamic terrorists from Israeli prisons in exchange for bringing him home – a trade we now have belatedly learned wasn’t worth the sacrifice made on his behalf.

Ass kissing and self destructive behavior is like a religion in western civilization now. We are bombarded by all forms of media and by both the major (US) political parties, and the education system to bow, scrape, apologize, compromise and down right bend over for it. It is defeat by incrimentalizm. Israel gives up a few hundred square miles this week, than a few more next year. (In between rocket and terrorist attacks) In the U.S. it is gay marriage this week, freakery with little kids next year. Gun control works the same way. Doubt that? That’s the way they did it the United Kingdom and Australia. All other rights, perogatives and priveledges and even our wealth is being removed or destroyed the same way. And, now, they got some bra burner advocating “Post birth abortion”. She says it should be up the the woman (She screwed up, and said “the family” first and then corrected it) and her health care provider.
“If G-d doesn’t judge America, he will owe Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.”

In greener years, I always reckoned treatment like this would HAVE TO switch someone’s mind and POV and they couldn’t help but shout it from the rooftops. I’m older and wiser now and have learned the obstinacy of a Libtard in total denial. They are cretins because they won’t admit the truth & they are too weak to declare themselves wrong. Their whole personae is built on the false foundation of their righteous ignorance and they lack the character to do the right thing.

Like those three foolish hikers in Iran. They are even more despicable because they had a great taste of the TRUTH of Iran and STILL refuse to come clean. I spit on morons like that.

I am glad this POS got beat by his paramours in the ROP. I love it. I know he will not come clean and have a change of heart (just as DS said) BUT what I would give to be inside his effed up and moronic mind to witness the dilemma he hasn’t the cojones to share. I know Libtards. I know them. He is not at ease after this. The “betrayal” will shake his (shaky) foundation and haunt him.

Or be his shrink (if he admits to his shock of the “betrayal”). He’ll never come clean but we can revel that questions and fears are twirling in his imbecilic mind. If only we could marinate in them.

BTW if you’re sympathetic to Fakestinians you’re very mentally damaged. The truth and permeability never meet & mesh in the simple mind.

Every anti-Israel movie has had limited to no showings in Israel and perhaps this beating will discourage others to stop make these warped films. Give the budget to the fine writers of Eretz Nehederit, and let’s all laugh our hearts out and win zero awards and get zero nominations but give our domestic market a film we can all enjoy for a change.

Official statement from the Aubagne International Film Festival

Statement received by email from Manon Oullette, press officer for the Aubagne International Film Festival:

Aubagne, 30 March 2013. Gaëlle Rodeville, general manager of the Aubagne International Film Festival, wishes to provide a clarification in the face of the massive disinformation regarding an attack on the Israeli director Yariv Horowitz, who was present at the festival competition with his film Rock the Casbah.

“We were present when the attack on the director Yariv Horowitz took place on Thursday, 21 March at 10:30 pm. We are not in a position to judge who was at fault and no aggression is excusable. But it is important to establish certain truths:

It was not men who carried out the aggression but a young minor who was with others of his own age.

As far as we are concerned, he was not Arab.

The events that led up to a punch (a single punch) had nothing to do with a racist attack nor a lynching.

After being aided by the festival organizers, Yariv Horowitz was seen by the emergency services who found only a minor injury. They offered to take him to see the police. The director refused. His injury being minimal, he did not wish to go to the hospital either.

Far from being lynched, Yariv Horowitz rejoined the festival the following morning and took part in different events until the end of the festival.

He went on stage with a big smile the evening of 23 March during the award ceremony to receive his prize: special jury mention for the quality of his direction (see attached photo with him holding the microphone).

Our statements are supported by witnesses and videos. We ask the director Yariv Horowitz to retract the statements he made in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz and to exercise restraint in making allegations whose only effect is to reinforce communalism.

We call for reason and ask those who propagate information to do their work according to journalistic professionalism and not to feed hatred with partial and unverified information.”

Israeli director Yariv Horowitz must retract false claim of anti-Semitic attack says Aubagne film festival
Sat, 03/30/2013 – 17:06

The Aubagne International Film Festival has called on Israeli filmmaker Yariv Horowitz to retract his claims, widely reported in Israeli media, that he was the victim of a vicious anti-Semitic beating by “Arab youths” that left him unconscious while he was present at the festival earlier this month.

In a statement sent to The Electronic Intifada by the festival’s press office, the festival’s general manager Gaëlle Rodeville said she witnessed the minor incident and that it had nothing to do with racism or anti-Semitism. Rodeville’s statement also affirmed that, contrary to Horowitz’s repeated assertions, the youth involved was not Arab.

Rodeville called on Horowitz “to retract the statements he made in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz and to exercise restraint in making allegations whose only effect is to reinforce communalism.”

She also said that the film festival’s version of events was supported by witnesses and video footage.

Rodeville appealed to the media to refrain from disseminating partial and unverified information that only feeds “hatred.”

Today’s statement from Rodeville, translated from French and published in full in my former comment, confirms that the suspicions that Yariv Horowitz has played an insane game were entirely justified.

France’s leading Jewish communal body Crif had claimed, based on Israeli media reports, that Horowitz had been “lynched.”

Horowitz’s false claims were eagerly disseminated by official Israeli propaganda organs such as army radio and the Jewish Agency’s social media director Avi Mayer on Twitter

Pesach on March 31, 2013 at 11:44 am

. I recently bowed out of the interfaith Holocaust service, because it was a custom to include Hatikvah at the end, but now some Christian groups object as they support the Palestinians and the Muslim Imams would either sit or leave during the Hatikvah. Perhaps interfaith Holocaust programs no longer make sense, at least to me. I do not need the stress of seeing disrespect being afforded to Israel and nor do I wish to compromise by leaving Hatikvah out. The interfaith Holocaust memorials started as well intentioned way for the Jewish people and other groups to pause and reflect on man’s capacity to perpetuate unbelievable cruelty against his fellow and to commiserate as a group and others, with the Jews and hopefully prevent this nightmare from reoccurring. Over the years it was understandably modified to include other victims of genocidal mass killings, though these mass killings were not really analogous, as the Nazis were obsessed at not just killing Jews as a competing group, but Hitler desired to eliminate our creed and it’s pervasive influence on humanity, particularly Christian doxy. As a result of Muslim participation and twisted liberalism, this is morphing into a twisted canard where Israel is being blamed for perpetuating ethnic killings against the Palestinians as the Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis. One can understand the Islamo-Nazis belief system with a quote from the Talmud. We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are. RABBI DR. BERNHARD ROSENBERG, CHILD OF Holocaust survivors and a refugee born in a D.P. camp

As it states,

• The British Mandate government briefly banned its performance in 1919 due to Arab anti-Zionist political activity.

• In 1944, Czech Jews spontaneously sang it at the entry to the Auschwitz-Birkenau gas chamber and, as reported by a member of the Sonderkommando, were beaten by SS guards.

The link is clear, the Arabs were against Hatikvah before there was Israel or even before the myth of Palestinian people. Furthermore, Jews sang it while being led to their death. How dare anyone allow individuals to leave in protest during Hatikvah with the canard they are commemorating the Holocaust but against the State of Israel. Just keep quoting Dr Martin Luther King, Jr “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You’re talking anti-Semitism.”

“American Muslims for Palestine” launches anti-Israel poster
in New York train stations

In the latest public spat over the Middle East conflict, the Americans for Palestine group has launched posters insisting that the US should no longer support Israel

March 26, 2013

Campaign and lobby group “American Muslims for Palestine” (AMP) today launched a new outdoor advertising campaign that will begin in 25 stations on the Metro North train line near New York City.

The ad will run for four weeks before moving to other cities around the country. The advert criticises US aid to Israel and uses a quote from Archbishop Desmond Tutu to imply that Israel is an apartheid state.

AMP however has come under criticism in recent years for a spate of ‘radical’ behaviour. In 2004, its chairman, Hatem Bazian, praised the “uprising in Iraq” (which was against U.S. soldiers) and the “intifada in Palestine” and said an American intifada is needed to “change fundamentally the political dynamics here.” He boasted, “They’re gonna say some Palestinian [is] being too radical – well, you haven’t seen radicalism yet.”

In 2012, Bazian described the U.S. as a racist country that tries to get “darker people [to] fight our war.”

AMP board member Osama Abu Irshaid describes the firing of rockets into Israel by Hamas as a form of “legitimate resistance.”

Another board member is Salah Sarsour. His brother was arrested by Israel in 1998 and informed his interrogators that Salah was financing Hamas through the Islamic Association for Palestine and the Holy Land Foundation.

In 2011, Steve Emerson wrote of AMP’s ‘web of Hamas support’.

“We timed the release of our ads with President Obama’s visit to the Middle East to underscore his administration’s failure to address the true cause of conflict: Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands and its racist apartheid policies, which subject Palestinians on a daily basis to humiliation, deprivation and a loss of their basic rights, including the freedom of movement,” Hatem Bazian, the organization’s chairman, said in a statement on its website.

The AMP banners are the latest in a series of dueling posters that have been appearing at Metro-North stations since last year.

In one ad produced in September by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, Islam is linked to a rising number of terrorist attacks. The ad declares: “It’s not Islamophobia, it’s Islamorealism.” That prompted community leaders and residents to stage a protest at the White Plains train station.

Public outcry also led the board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to change its ad policy and require disclaimers on issue-oriented posters. The disclaimers must state that the MTA does not endorse the opinions in the ad. It must also disclose who paid for it.

MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan said the new ads from the AMP include those disclaimers.

“MTA advertising spaces serve broadly as a vehicle for a wide variety of communications, including, at times, controversial ads that express viewpoints on matters of public concern,” he said in an email statement. “The First Amendment restricts the MTA’s control over the content and timing of the messages expressed in paid advertisements.”

UPDATE: Israel advocacy group StandWithUs has drawn to our attention that the group has countered every negative public advertisement with a positive message about Israel. Their work can be found here.

Roz Rothstein, CEO of StandWithUs told The Commentator: “Once again, anti-Israel groups are promoting lies and misinformation, this time in New York.”

“They often choose holidays to launch campaigns, as they did this time, because they feel can silence the opposition. The main point however is that they promote lies like this regularly, regardless of the day. It’s like the Nazi, Joseph Goebbels used to say, ‘if you repeat a lie often enough it will become the truth’.

“The bottom line is that there is no apartheid, not in Israel and not outside of Israel. Putting up a fence between Israel and the Palestinians is like a fence between any two countries, particularly those at war. Palestinian Arabs living in Israel are involved in all levels of politics and government. Palestinians living outside of Israel are not citizens of Israel and they dont want to be. They have their own government, school system and police force.

“Placing billboards with misleading messages will not bring peace. People who are concerned about peaceful coexistence should encourage Hamas and Abbas to say yes to peace and stop launching rockets into Israeli schools, stop teaching children to hate and kill Jews, and accept Israel as the Jewish country next door.”

There should be an update to this article, because it has now been acknowledged that the story of the ‘attack’ has been misrepresented – he was not beaten unconscious, and there were no Arabs. The website Electronic Intifada challenged Horowitz’s dramatic account of his misfortunes, and he has now issued a statement denying most of what is attributed to him in media reports.

During the 1967 Six Day War Epstein got his first kill against an Egyptian Su-7. In the War of Attrition in 1969-1970 he got four more kills to become an ace. Then, during the Yom Kippur War in October 1973 Epstein shot down 12 more aircraft. In one three day period that month he shot down eight jets and one Mi-8 helicopter.
