Israel’s Absurd Apology to Turkey for Turkish-HAMAS Terrorism: Why Did Nothingyahu Do It? (& Promise to Pay $s to Turk Terrorists’ Families!)

By Debbie Schlussel

Why did Israeli Prime Minster Binyamin Netanyahu apologize to Turkey on Friday for the “crime” of Israelis defending themselves against Islamic terrorists who came from Turkey (and America), all while Barack Obama looked on? What was the threat Obama held over Netanyahu’s head or the carrot he promised in return for this remarkable display of appeasement and capitulation to Islamic terrorists? It was certainly one . . . or the other. Either way, Netanyahu had a duty to his people to tell Obama two words: “Hell no!” Or two letters: FU. But no. Now, Netanyahu is Obama’s wimpy little bitch. And he’s promised that Israel will pay big money to the families of the dead Turkish terrorists.

Israel Apologized to HAMAS Ally: HAMAS PM Khaled Meshaal w/ Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan

In May 2010, Turkish friends of HAMAS invaded Israeli waters on the Mavi Marmara ship. They were part of a HAMAS flotilla intent on provoking Israel and delivering contraband to HAMAS in Gaza. Israeli soldiers and navy men boarded the ship, as any country would, and they were immediately attacked–stabbed with knives, hammers, and other deadly weapons. Some of the soldiers were even thrown overboard by these terrorists. But they attacked the wrong country, because Israelis responded, and nine of the Turkish HAMASniks died. Israel was defending itself against interlopers who were aiding and abetting terrorists. Israel should not apologize to Turkey and its extremist Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It should be the other way around. This was an act of war, and international law (as well as the anti-Israel United Nations) backed Israel’s actions.

Would America apologize to Turkey, if it sent a ship full of armed Al-Qaeda aliens into U.S. waters to provoke America? No way. Not even under Obama. Instead, we have done the same thing Israel did and probably far more. We’d probably have attacked the ship with gunfire and missiles, and everyone on it would have died.

So why on earth would Netanyahu walk this plank? Why grovel to terrorists and their chief Turkish defender, Erdogan? Some reports say that it is important to have a U.S.-Israel-Turkey alliance in fighting Syrian leader Bashar Assad. Utter BS. Israel should stay out of the Syrian morass. And so should we. If Obama wants to make that mistake, as he did in Libya and Egypt, as Bush did in Iraq and Gaza and Pakistan, then tough luck for him. Israel shouldn’t have to pander to terrorists to help him make this monumental mistake.

A friend of mine in the know says this was done to show Iran that Turkey and Israel are friends again and, “don’t mess with us.” I’m not buying it. Turkish leader Erdogan has a long history of sympathizing with HAMAS–having several love-fests with HAMAS leader Khaled Meshaal–and supporting extremists within and without his country. He’s not going to be any friendlier to Israel because of this silly, embarrassing, undeserved apology. Heck, as I told you a while ago, Israel is already giving Turkey all kinds of weaponry that it developed that can later be used against Israel. And that didn’t change Erdogan’s tune. The apology won’t, either. Erdogan knows that his country is growing ever extremist and that he needs to sing the extremists’ song to stay in power. And that won’t change.

And, since Israel didn’t apologize in the nearly three years since the attack, why now? What did Obama do or say or promise or threaten to get this inappropriate contrition? What could it possibly be, since Congress is far more pro-Israel than the President, and the U.S. Congress would not allow America to pull aid to Israel or other cooperation with our closest friend and ally in the Middle East (or anywhere else)?

And why didn’t Netanyahu just say no?

We may never find out the answer. Sadly, we know for sure that, yet again, Israel’s strength and bravery were taken down another notch. And the Muslim world is laughing. Apologies like this breed contempt, not respect. When will Israel learn?

This apology didn’t change a thing, other than chip away more at Israel’s once strong and courageous stance against terrorism. Now, Israel is apologizing to the terrorists and their sponsors and friends.

If only Netanyahu’s phone service broke down, instead of Obama’s limo.

How sad that, on the eve of Passover, today’s Jews are bowing down to the West’s Pharoabama and the Turks’ Pharoah.

From today’s New York Post:

Tel Aviv – In a veritable slap in the face to President Obama, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan is backing away from US-brokered efforts to heal the rift between his country and Israel.
On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called his Turkish counterpart and offered an apology for a 2010 Israeli Navy attack that left nine Turkish citizens dead in Gaza.
“There was total clarity. It was all very specifically scripted,” a source told The Post.
But Erdogan yesterday refused to discuss possibly dropping Turkish legal efforts to accuse Israelis involved in the attack of war crimes, according to The Times of Israel.

This also goes for Nothingyahu as well.

This prime minister is demonstrates weakness when he should project strength. We knew that. He pulled the rug from out under us when (at Bar-Ilan University, June 2009) he bowed to Obama’s demand that Israel embrace the two state solution to the Jewish question. I think this apology might have been the result of Obama’s deceptive “charm offensive” coupled with the prime minister’s hope Obama will back Israel if or when she tries to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites. Truth be known, Obama desires a genocidal, nuclear-armed Iran to maintain some kind of a “balance” with the ‘Zionist regime’ whose seat of power is in Tel Aviv. This capitulation provides Obama encouragement he can persuade Netanyahu to stand down on Iran, Benghazi style; that he can convince the Jews this Muslim-born president has Israel’s back.

Steve Klein on March 24, 2013 at 4:00 pm

Those “terrorists” were delivering medical and construction equipment to Gaza. They are blockaded, and isolated, 1940’s Warsaw style. The ship was boarded, and immediately the humanitarians were butchered. They fought back with tools and knives. How anyone could justify such inhuman actions honestly doesnt have a human soul.

Usmc ordie on March 24, 2013 at 4:17 pm

It’s no secret Obama enjoys making a turkey out of Israel.
As usual his speeches are full of thanksgiving phrases but light on specifics.

Frankz on March 24, 2013 at 4:18 pm

@Usmc Ordie, (Hamas Odie)

Are the humanitarians in question the ones beating men on the deck with steel pipes or just their friends?

If Gaza was blockaded Warsaw style then Hamas wouldn’t bother hiding munitions in hospitals and schools like they do because that wouldn’t help them.
They also wouldn’t bother targeting civilians with rockets while using their own children for cover because nobody would feel sorry for them.

You need to know a little about what it means to be a human being before you go around denying other people’s souls, Hamas Odie.

Frankz on March 24, 2013 at 4:57 pm

Gaza gets shipments from the U.N.H.C.R all the time. Also, the flotilla organizers were offered the chance to deliver their supplies through standard means. This offer was rejected. The flotilla people clearly wished to spark an incident, rather than furnish what were in fact redundant supplies.

    Worry01 on March 24, 2013 at 5:10 pm

They also get water, foodstuffs and medical supplies from us. In addition, they are allowed to cross the border to receive medical care in some of the best hospitals in the World. Now THAT’S what I call Humanitarian aid.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:24 pm

Absolutely right, Frank. Those “humanitarians” almost butchered one of our soldiers with a knife almost disemboweling him. He jumped overboard and by the grace of God, survived. I guess cause he wasn’t shot, that makes his attacker a humanitarian.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:22 pm

Hi,

I just wanted to say, that I completely disagree with the trend of this article. Yes, we were completely in our right regarding any circumstances that happened on and around the marmara, but we have to face reality and see that now that we have to deal with syria, Iran an maybe others, it is best not to have to deal with turkey and maybe even have them on our side. I completely support Netanyahu’s decision, and I would’ve done the same!

Sam Schick on March 24, 2013 at 5:19 pm

Yours’ is the Prime Minister’s rationale. I’ve not seen anyone within his government coalition break with him publicly on this apology. I hope to see Bennett’s HaBayit HaYehudi party politely, yet firmly break with the prime minister. Time will tell if your view that this will bear fruit in dealing with Iran and Syria. I suspect Debbie Schlussel’s statement that apologies like this breed contempt, not respect in the Muslim world is more accurate. Already yesterday I read Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on the same day PM Netanyahu apologized to Turkey, Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan phoned to tell him he will visit Gaza / Hamas this April.

Steve Klein on March 24, 2013 at 5:35 pm

Nice going, Sam Schtick. How much is Bibi paying you?

skzion on March 24, 2013 at 5:38 pm

Sam, I really don’t appreciate your take on “reality.” It’s you idiots who stuck with Likud that created this mess. You had your chance in this recent past election to rid us of these Quislings once and for all. And dont’ come back and tell me you don’t live here because if you do, then you have no idea of the reality we deal with. Syria attacked us over Shabbat. No one comes out and says that but I will. They deliberately fired on our positions in the DMZ on the Golan. That’s an act of war. You really think they care if Turkey and Israel make nice? Pffft!
Jeff mentioned Isaiah 3 but we are witnessing Isaiah 17:1 in the destruction of Damascus. And as terrible as the immediate future looks, the long term view is glorious because we know how it ends. Damascus is no more.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:29 pm

I agree with you – it was unwarranted and completely irresponsible!

You NEVER apologize when you did nothing wrong, when you’re in the right and when the facts are on your side.

Netanyahu can take his apology and shove it and most Israelis disagree with him! He does not speak for the Jewish nation on this matter and he had NO right and NO authorization from them to apologize for Israel’s defending itself from Islamic terrorists sent by an enemy nation who sought to kill Jews and Israelis.

Its an unprincipled act of disgusting cowardice and craven appeasement that brought shame and humiliation to Israel! Its completely unnecessary and I completely reject it and I apologize on behalf of every Jew on the planet for the fact that Israeli troops didn’t KILL ALL the Islamic terrorists on board the Mavi Marmara AND blow the ship up!

That is what any self-respecting nation would have done. The PM can keep his apology to himself and he never had the right to extend Jewish forgiveness to those completely undeserving of it in the first place.

NormanF on March 24, 2013 at 5:57 pm

He clearly made some sort of deal with Obama. Like you said, we’ll probably never know what it is.

David on March 24, 2013 at 6:01 pm

Obama is the epitome of bad faith. We have seen this time and time again. Obama’s lies and cover-up on the Benghazi debacle is the latest example of this man’s duplicitous behavior. A leader who makes a deal with Barack Obama in behalf of his nation, puts his people at tremendous risk.

Steve Klein on March 24, 2013 at 6:31 pm

I agree that this is about politics and some behind the scenes deal was struck, with Obama offering Netanyahu the proverbial “carrot” or “stick.” And in this case, I suspect that Obama offered him the carrot.

On balance, I believe that Netanyahu has done a great job of helping to advance the economy in Israel and a relatively good job of navigating the very treacherous terrain of international politics. Notwithstanding Netanyahu’s recent decision to comply with Obama’s request, I firmly believe that Netanyahu has Israel’s long-term interests at heart.

Strict adherence to principles is a very rare thing in politics, and with the multiple pressures that Israel feels from all sides, maintaining such principles must be even more difficult. As the great actor Charles Laughton said as Gracchus in the iconic film Spartagus: “Politics is a practical profession. If a criminal has what you want, you do business with him.”

With regard to Netanyahu’s decision, I’m sure that he didn’t take it lightly and carefully weighed the political pros and cons, as all good politicians must do, and Netanyahu did what he felt was necessary in this particular case to secure some political advantage that will probably be evident later. I just hope that the “carrot” turns out to be worth it in the end.

Ralph Adamo on March 24, 2013 at 9:57 pm

David, we know. It’s not rocket science. Soooo very obvious. Two states and an end to settlements probably.

Note to Steve Klein: Bennett is in favor of disbanding settlements and freezing new ones. Just cause he’s American doesn’t make him a friend, as we see.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:33 pm

Sadly, given Obama’s apologies during the last few years, and the victimization of GIs doing their jobs, the US might have apologized.

It is incredible how many seemingly well-informed people continue to think of Turkey as a model of Western Democracy (past tense for WD unfortunately), and a paragon for other Moslem countries. We all know people who have taken tours of Turkey and raved about it, just like fools like them raved about Cuba, the Soviet Union (sic) and still praise China.

Acknowledging what Turkey is really like would mean repudiating US policy for the last few decades. And it isncredible how many people think present Turkish policy is reactive against the refusal of the EU to admit them as of yet.

So the miseducation continues and intensifies.

Little Al on March 24, 2013 at 6:42 pm

Little Al, I fear you are 100% correct. It’s quite the unfunny joke that people would view Turkey that way. Even with the murder of that NY Mum Sarai Sierra AND the “Arab Spring”.

I bet there are many dopes who still think it’s safe to go tour Egypt, the pyramids of Giza and all those other historic sites that gave Egypt is $$$ once. I think it’s dangerous to be that uninformed.

Tunisia, Turkey, Egypt, Libya…A local economy show (it used to be these shows were relegated to weekends but in the Obama-Putin economy we have one here Mon-Fri) adverts for a CRUISE that one of the stops is “Tunis”…LOL, I’d NEVER Cruise and I certainly would never hop on one stopping there!

But just go look at the top 10 trending Yahoo articles. That will tell you where the average American head is (in the toilet).

Skunky on March 24, 2013 at 7:23 pm

Skunky, you and LA are so right about Turkey. My foolish granddaughter is planning a vacay in Turkey later this year. I couldn’t convince her otherwise. All I can do is pray. But Turkey is a member of NATO and the US is committed to standing with her unless one of them leaves. Actually, LA, I think that whole “western democracy” business about Turkey was a canard. Even Ataturk said that Islam is the correct religion that all people should embrace. He just bought into the Soviet idea of separation of church and state.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:38 pm

Italkit, your granddaughter is indeed foolish. I am not Jewish and I would NEVER go to Turkey. Not that I wouldn’t be quarry as a Western, non-Mooooooooslim female but it goes without saying how Moooooslims are irrational and Satanic when it comes to Jews.

I’ll pray for her too. You should show her the stories on Sarai Sierra. Killed the day she was supposed to return. By an adherent of the ROP who wanted to rape her.

Skunky on March 25, 2013 at 11:40 am

@Little Al,
I agree, It would mean facing the fact that the Arab spring was the final nail in the coffin of secularism in the Arab world.
That’s either something they aren’t capable of processing or are determined not to acknowledge but the reality of the bankruptcy of their world view remains.

Frankz on March 24, 2013 at 7:12 pm

But Scott says that Obama-Putin is NOT a Jew hater. LOL. Point & laugh at the dopey but in 2013 don’t let them get away with stupid propaganda.

It’s stories like this that I have heard all my life about Israel defending herself and yet having to cater to the evil Islamic faction. It’s one of the biggest reasons I am staunchly in Isreal’s corner (and will always be).

When you think about how public education is now trying to teach the indoctrinated kids in schools that 9/11 was America’s fault this is not as shocking as it is maddening. I acknowledge the zeitgeist but I will not stand for the propaganda.

It’s 2013. Clues are falling everywhere. I hope people are seeing all the things coalescing. Sometimes it’s hard when you’re in the soup but the heat is being turned up and being stirred quite briskly.

Don’t say you were not warned.

Skunky on March 24, 2013 at 7:14 pm

just like WATERGATE look for the money how much Israel was promised or what military hardware was promised for FREE we get loans from China and give it to other nations

AB: Under the terms of every foreign aid package made to Israel, 85% or more must be spent in the U.S. or used to buy stuff from American companies. (Much of it is spent with American defense contractors.) There is no such condition on foreign aid made to any of the Muslim nations. For them, it’s just a gift. You should whine about them, not Israel. DS

abraham bedevian on March 24, 2013 at 7:16 pm

No, the military aid to Israel is not for free. The U.S. receives all of Israel’s secret military research and technology, GRATIS. It would otherwise cost the U.S. billions a year to come up with nothing but disappointment.

Now, why don’t you complain about the tens of billions of dollars and countless U.S. lives, that the U.S. is giving to the Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, for free, for the privilege of buying oil we discovered, we drilled for, we developed the technology for, and which kept Saudi Arabia and the other countries afloat? What about the many billions we give to other countries, with NOTHING in return? Or do you just complain about the Jewish state?

Jonathan E. Grant on March 24, 2013 at 7:37 pm

This is just more globalist jockeying around to get closer to the goal of a one world government, known recently in their own words as “Global governance”. You have to have people kissing each others ass and making nice to get to that. They talk about a “two state solution”, but what they are really aiming at is the “final solution”. Not only do they want to destroy Israel, they don’t want any more nation states. (see “globalism”, “internationalism”, “global governance”. You can bet that Netanyahu is serving at the pleasure of the new world order boys or he wouldn’t have the job, just like president dumbo ears. All this reminds me of that disgusting Jimmy Carter, with that phoney but slightly pained smile. The pain comes from the shit he had to eat while kissing all that ass. These people aren’t stupid. When they lie and when they do wrong, they know it, that is why they sometimes act guilty like nasty little boys caught in the act.

RT on March 24, 2013 at 7:44 pm

Global governance. Islam and the the largely Christian infidel West will come together as one? Then ‘Christ’ will come on a cloud? Christians will all be translated to heaven while we mortals suffer God’s wrath for our unbelief?

Steve Klein on March 24, 2013 at 8:22 pm

Your first sentence is right, as is RT. As a Jew, I don’t accept the Christian false Messiah or a “rapture.” But our Scriptures talk of a One world government and a synchronized religion. Where do you think they get it? Just read Daniel, which is not a “prophecy” in the technical sense, but is certainly inspired and prophetic in essence.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:45 pm

Yep, just like our wonderful well run elections have given us the “best and the brightest”.
Damn shame all the pandering to scum bags.

samurai on March 24, 2013 at 8:47 pm

Bibi probably used Hussein’s visit as a pretext to buy off a coalition partner, possibly Birdbrain Livni. He knew that US supporters would think he was bullied.

I reject the scenario that the US is threatening anyone (bribing is much more likely, but still not likely).

skzion on March 24, 2013 at 8:15 pm

This just in. Nothingyahu has apologized to the Germans for the Holocaust, and promised that next time the Jews will burn faster.

Jonathan E. Grant on March 24, 2013 at 8:44 pm

@Skzion, does the US need to threaten Israel? All this administration needs to do is leverage the relationship.
They’re not above threatening established members of the press who are by and large supportive of them so I can’t see any reason to think this administration is above that kind of thing.
It seems to me that this is a completely new situation, none of the old rules apply.

Frankz on March 24, 2013 at 9:07 pm

@Skzion, you’re much better informed than me on this so would be interested to know what your reasons are.

Frankz on March 24, 2013 at 9:31 pm

Frank, I disagree with skzion on this but agree with you that it’s a leveraged relationship, IOW, bribery. Where I disagree with sk is that bribery is unlikely. It’s how this government operates. What’s the bribe? “Make Two States and we won’t interfere when you hit Iran.” And a whole lot of lesser things. You think in his heart of hearts Bibi wanted to call Erdogan? No, but he lacks principles so he caved. He’s weak and that makes him dangerous. The US has troops in Jordan. If you think they wouldn’t come in to “help” us if we “get out of line” you’re delusional. They’re chomping at the bit to get in here and Americans with dual citizenship better wake up and come up with $450 to renounce their citizenship or they’re in big trouble. I don’t have the $450 but hopefully I’m still under the radar for a while.

Italkit on March 24, 2013 at 11:51 pm

Bibi has been itching to apologize for some time now. The Israelis clearly misunderstand what’s taken place in Turkey over the past decade. They think it’s just a phase, and that everything with Turkey will be hunky-dory again.

Not going to happen. This move will only embolden all of Israel’s enemies, including Turkey.

adam on March 24, 2013 at 10:18 pm

I believe it was a strategic move at this time and was much needed with the turmoil that is going on in the Middle East. Israel now is surrounded by Islamic extremist more than any time before.

Iran is stirring problems in the region and trying to expand its control in different countries not forgetting its atomic program. Israel is facing Huzbollah in the North, HAMAS In the South, the Syrian unrest in the East with the danger of using chemical weapons, Islamic extreme on the Egyptian border and the pro peace activists inside Israel.

The Turkish prime minister is extreme in his Islamic views but was able to shift HAMAS from the Iranian/Syrian side to his side and that could be a good factor for Israel’s security, not forgetting that most of his people and military members and staff are pro U.S.A, Europe, Israel, have hate to Arabs. We have military and Patriot bases guarded by American personnel in that country. Such presence is very vital for our and Israel security.

Politicians fight, argue and disagree all the time, have to put their pride aside when the interests of their countries come first in the democratic world, taking into consideration never to underestimate the cooperation between the Israeli/Turkish counter terrorism during the crisis plus other things. (BTW, I always consider politicians as liars).

It is a Persian/Ottoman empires fight. Muslim Shia trying to over power Muslim Sunnis in which I don’t care for both but the security of Israel.

The first sign of such a thing was the fall of Huzbollah government in Lebanon. Kerry unexpected visit to Iraq in which pushed them to ban Iranian flights carrying weapons to the Syrian regime over their skies, and hopefully more to come.

It is a strong message to the enemies of the U.S.A and Israel in the Middle East and elsewhere. Sometimes we need to cooperate with the devil to beat the greater satan.

Daniel. on March 24, 2013 at 11:17 pm

Spoken like a true dhimmi. Daniel, how inapt is your name! You either choose God or you choose satan, of which there is only one, not a greater and lesser. In fact, he’s under the dominion of God but God doesn’t really want us to deal with him. We are to reject him and his ways always.
Ever since Solomon, our downfall as a people and nation has been because we were willing to play with the adversary rather than resisting him.

Daniel. on March 25, 2013 at 1:25 am

Daniel, that’s why I called you a Dhimmi. Without a spiritual understanding of what happens in Israel, you can’t understand what happens in Israel. It is all by the hand of Hashem, both good and bad. We are the only Nation in the World He watches directly, no “middlemen” ala the Prince of Persia, mentioned in the Book that shares your name.

Italkit on March 25, 2013 at 8:34 am

DAniel, without a firm spiritual base to stand on your beliefs cannot hold out agains the onslaught of Islam. Israel would not exist if we had looked historically for the “practical” in what we did. Read the history carefully. Our “escapes” from disaster and annihilation are so improbable as to defy logic. That’s why we call them miracles.

Italkit on March 25, 2013 at 8:39 am

During Obama’s visit, Hamas lobbed a few rockets at Israel from Gaza. Israel should have, in retaliation, lobbed a missile at Ramallah, and taken out not only the PA leadership, but Obama as well.

Debbie, I do disagree w/ your hypothetical: I do think that if an enemy flotilla tried to land at Miami or San Diego, that Obama wouldn’t even try to stop them in the first place, so it’s only in that sense that the US wouldn’t apologize.

Also, from what I understand, on Syria, Israel has taken the right approach – to stay out of it completely, but just hope that Assad barely hangs on to power. Their stand seems to be that the devil one knows is preferable to the devil one doesn’t. So there is no question of Israel being on the same side as Turkey on this Syrian issue.

The only charitable way of looking at Netanyahu is that he’s issuing an apology just for the US consumption, while in return, exacting the right to do whatever he deems necessary to curb Hamas, Fatah, Hizbullah and even Egypt, if it comes to that.

Infidel on March 25, 2013 at 1:39 am

This is even more depressing than those of us not dhimmis realize at first. Namely, how can Netanyahu lead us boldly and inspire the Israeli armed forces, when we are more up against it than ever before, and yes I include ’73 and ’48? How can he deal with Iran with courage and fortitude if he feels the need to apologize to jihadists? I don’t care what Obama promised him, Obama is a liar and a slimy politician if there was one, in the tank for the Palestinians and the Arab cause (and we all know what that cause actually is).

Have you lot heard about Mossad’s computers being breached, hacked, and details from thousands of their personnel being leaked? This is more than just rumour. This is big bad news if it’s for real, and yet the major papers (in English) seem quiet about this for now.

It is a sad state of AFFAIRS, ignorant Americans are messing around with international politics without regard to what is right and what is wrong. Eventually they will put the whole Middle east on fire and they will lose every thing.

Listen to this hallucinations; Qatar wants to lease the Suez Canal for 99 years with the approval of the USA to guarnty the us eof the canal for America’s fleets. Wonderful. Are they using it now or not????? Then they want Moslem Egyptians to give Sinai to the palestinians to have a home in it. Even more crazy than the Canal Deal. And Qatar wants to BUY Cairo International Airport to use it as a base for Qatar airways.

As a Copt I will never watch the throwing away of Egypt as food for Arab Vultures of Stupid American ploicies. I would rathe rsee the Whole Middle East on fire untill every one is burned that acquiesce to this nonsensense.

I predict Jonathan Pollard will be released from prison in a few months. Not immediately, though…can’t be too obvious. Israelis get their man back at no cost to Obama and at a huge gain for the muslim world. The muslims get the better deal once again, of course, but such are the outrageous prices Israel seems to have to pay in this anti-Semetic new world order to achieve any political gains. But now we can expect more flotillas to supply the Gaza arabs with arms. And because of Bibi’s appology, these flotillas will have a false air of legitimacy.

Randy F. on March 25, 2013 at 8:29 pm

This smacks of a troubling appeasement, even if Israel is trying to restore a former partnership. The dynamic boarding of the Turkish ship was nothing so different than what our Coast Guard and others like it do everyday in international waters. Several other ships in that flotilla were boarded without incident, while in the one they attacked with pipes and knives. What was Israel supposed to do, simply bleed?
