Obama Boycotts Israel’s Elected Parliament for Hand-Picked Liberal Americans; EXCLUSIVE Account From an Israeli Friend

By Debbie Schlussel

Why is Barack Obama snubbing Israel’s Knesset (its parliament) and instead choosing to meet with 100 “Israeli youths,” instead? Because he has no respect for the country and is seeking to sow the seeds of liberalism and further Israeli amputation through concessions to the terrorist Palestinians.

obamasmiling.jpg

Much has been made of Barack Obama’s lack of visits to Israel for his entire first term, but to be fair, we must note that neither Ronald Reagan nor George H.W. Bush ever visited Israel when they were President, and George W. Bush only visited in the last year of his second term, when he made two visits to Israel. That said, when Obama visits Israel, this week, he’ll do what Israeli leader Binyamin Netanyahu would never think of doing here in the U.S.: skipping Israel’s democratically-elected governmental body. It’s an interesting choice in a Middle East where he continues to insist on democratic elections by the barbarians who surround Israel and, yet, snubs the one real Western democracy’s elected leadership, which by the way includes several Arabs (some of whom openly support HAMAS). An Israeli Facebook (join me on Facebook) friend of mine, David Weiss, has the inside scoop, which is even more insulting to Israel:

Debbie, I spoke earlier today with one of my Knesset friends about getting me into the Knesset to see Obama’s speech in the plenum. Guess what? He’s boycotting the Knesset! When George Bush came here as president, he spoke in the plenum for 30 minutes and took time to shake each of our hands afterwards. Obama, by contrast, is only speaking to “students and Americans” at the international convention center which seats several thousand. As an American and as a Hebrew University student, I checked into tickets. He is only allowing 3 Hebrew U. students to come and 100 hand-picked Americans. Not only is he snubbing his nose at the Israeli leadership, he is snubbing the Israeli people. What is more, he is going to shut down half of our capital city for a show-speech in front of very few people. This is a HUGE contrast to President Bush’s visit to our country.

Amen to that. It’s insulting and disgusting. If you’re an American President (even one with Muslim sympathies who doesn’t like Israel), show a modicum of class and behave like a leader of the Free World. Israel is an American ally–the closest, most supportive American ally there is (look at the U.N. votes of the two countries).

Don’t defecate on Israel when you are visiting it, Obama. Get some class . . . for once in your fraudulent, Walter Mitty fantasy life (with apologies to Walter Mitty and his fantasies for the comparison).

More on what is at play here:

Mr. Obama will meet Mr. Netanyahu and other leaders across the region, but administration officials see public appeals as a way to build rapport and stoke public pressure for the peace process. With that in mind, Mr. Obama will bypass the Knesset, Israeli’s Parliament, and instead will speak to thousands of young Israelis at Jerusalem’s convention center.

And, again, as David notes, these are NOT young Israelis, but carefully selected liberal Americans who happen to be in Israel. Like visiting Kardashian fans who are on vacation in Cancun and saying they represent Mexicans. Same difference.

And a total slap in the face to Israel.

Although I agree about his snub to Israel, it should also be noted that young people are typically naive about politics, influenced by fads, and feel-good solutions, and are likely to give Obama a much warmer reception than the Knesset would (while they would of course be courteous, they would not treat him like the hero that the disproportionately callow young Israelis would. A good photo-op.

These young Israelis will probably be disproportionately immature.

Also, while I agree that the crowning of an Ethopian Miss Israel shows an absence of racism, Obama’s visit does furnish another perspective for this selection.

Little Al on March 18, 2013 at 4:51 pm

Al, Young Israelis are far more mature than young Americans. Even if they chose the more immature amongst the students, the fact is our students start university at age 22 or older after being in the IDF. We don’t send our kids to collegel at 18 but even if we did, they are pretty darn mature, except the American immigrant ones.

You just don’t get it. Choosing an Ethiopian as Miss Israel is PURE RACISM because it’s saying that the only way she can get ahead isn’t her brains but her body, despite having done well in the IDF. This is the attitude as I said in the original column about Yityish. Women of color are perceived as being morally lax and too lazy to work for success. We may have beauty contests but they are not as popular as in the US and elsewhere because they fly in the face of Torah. Even the traditional, not strictly religious folks do not approve of them. This was done to impress the West and y’all fell for it.

    Che Disgrazia!

Italkit on March 18, 2013 at 5:28 pm

Italkit, the thing I admire about you is your moderate, dispassionate tone. Aren’t you going to repeat the trash about the racist population-control campaign against the Ethiopians you ranted about last time? Oh yes, Haaretz backed off of that, so you have to think of something else.

And your inferential leap???? Choosing an Ethiopian for her looks means that is the only way she can get ahead? You sound like the original feminazis of the 60s in the United States. Attacks on beauty contests were part and parcel of the original women’s libbers of the US during the late 60s, almost half a century ago. But I guess some things never fade away.

And even though you supposedly live in Israel (in the Arab community?) you are unaware of the extreme liberal establishment there that pollutes the media and the universities? And IDF or not, it is foolish to think that this establishment has no influence over at least some younger people.

Little Al on March 18, 2013 at 6:03 pm

Al, I live a Torah life as does my community so beauty contests are an abomination to us. I’m sorry if the Muslims got that from us and somewhat right. That doesn’t make me an Arab nor does it make me a Feminazi. I thought you had more intellect than to say something like that. Debbie can confirm that I live in Israel and so can skzion.
As for the “rant” about the birth control, it wasn’t just Haaretz it was a hot button here. I’m glad the story isn’t true but the discrimination definitely is.

As for young people being influenced by the left? Sure, some will but others have enough maturity and independence of thought to not become sheeple. I suggest you visit Israel and see how non-ovine we really are. It goes in part with the students being more mature but it also goes with us having a more traditional family life than Americans do. “Kids” stay close to their parents and don’t typically move out until they get married or into a committed relationship. Parents here certainly do not clap their hands with glee when their 18 year olds go off to the IDF so that the parents can have “their” time. Religious parents start sending their kids off to boarding school around 12-13 but when the kids are home, the families are very close knit. You really should come see our kids. They are opinionated, articulate and self confident by the time they’re 4. They’re great!

Italkit on March 18, 2013 at 6:50 pm

Your statements about beauty contests shift with the tide. Like most liberals, you have shifted your position 100%. Many who live in Israel are, or might as well, be Arabs.

And of course I am not saying that all young people are mindless liberals in Israel. But all too many are.

You’re glad the story about birth control isn’t true? Why didn’t you check it out more carefully before you wrote about the Israelis’ terrible birth control campaign against Ethiopian Jews?

Little Al on March 18, 2013 at 7:30 pm

And, I, your initial comments about beauty contests were clearly political, rather than religious.

Little Al on March 18, 2013 at 7:39 pm

You’re delusional as are most goyim who’ve never even been here. FYI, I tried to check it out an das the story was developing, there was nothing reliable that refuted it. I certainly don’t believe anything our government says. And exactly how did I change my position on beauty contests? I deplored them as a vehicle for feminine “success” in the previous article and I do so now.
You don’t know me and your idea of Jewish Orthodoxy is Debbie’s American Modern Ashkenazi version, which is fine for her where she is, but it doesn’t really exist here. She would be considered “traditional” and nothing more. The Orthodox model of female modesty, and I’m not speaking only of the “Ultras,” is to cover up and not display one’s charms to the world. We don’t wear wigs and we don’t use a lot of makeup. We wear attractive scarves on our heads, long skirts and sweat in mid length sleeves in the Summer. We wouldn’t call Yityish a slut, but we’d try to show her a better way if we had the opportunity. If you can’t distinguish between a “religious” reason to do something and a political one, then I would suggest that you are the Muslim on the forum, not I.

Italkit on March 19, 2013 at 3:38 am

Even if they aren’t young, they will undoubtedly be sycophants.

Little Al on March 18, 2013 at 4:57 pm

    LA,

Far Left Meretz and Communist Party voters – hardly representative of the average Israeli. Obama will preaching to the converted.

The good news is his decision to boycott the Israeli Knesset means most Israelis won’t have have to watch his patronizing them.

When you stop think about it, even a dark cloud has its silver lining. Its too little and too late for Obama to win Israel over.

NormanF on March 18, 2013 at 5:08 pm

If Israeli leaders had the stones, they would tell Obama to either address their Parliament and the Israeli people or not bother to come!

But they’ll never do that because they’re afraid of angering him and they’ll allow him to walk all over them showing his contempt for them and their country.

Like I always like to say, you can bring the Jew out of the Ghetto but you can’t bring the Ghetto out of the Jew. Jews are still frightened, servile and fawning creatures in front of their non-Jewish betters, crawling like dhimmis before them and its a disgusting sight.

To put it quite crudely, Zionism did nothing to change the real condition of the Jew. Oh – and the fact Obama is going to make a mockery of Passover in boycotting the Knesset tells all we need to know: the Jews are still not free even in Jerusalem. Keep that in mind this year when Jews renew their vows to be Jerusalem, when mentally and spiritually, the Jewish nation still remains in Exile.

NormanF on March 18, 2013 at 4:58 pm

right on Norman F, i’d just posted the same thing… tell him NO. this POS, smirking, dicator, kenyan interloper is embarrassing and infuriating.

    Not all, Norman. Not all.

Nir Leiu on March 18, 2013 at 8:07 pm

why isn’t the israeli government preventing obamboozle from doing this… THEY should set the schedule for a formal visit/speech to the knesset and maybe, if there’s any time left, he can have his little show speech… but instead rush him to air force 1 and send him on his way.

he must be preparing to say some heinous anti-israel garbage with the stunt he’s planning. what a complete jackass.

kirche on March 18, 2013 at 5:08 pm

kirche–good point. Why are the Israelis rolling out the red carpet for the Indonesian? They should be simply ignoring his publicity stunt.

I hope someone in the media asks President Obama some tough questions whilst he is visiting Israel

David on March 18, 2013 at 5:12 pm

David, why would you wanna ask Obama-Putin that?

Sounds to me like the bogan writer of the article is a dhimmi fool. I’m annoyed I read it!

Those who know Obama-Putin know how he *REALLY* feels. Who believes what he publicly spews anyway?

Why don’t you ask Dolly Parton if she sleeps on her tummy???

Skunky on March 18, 2013 at 8:16 pm

Debbie, I’m not sure David has it right. We are on vacation already for Pesach. The Knesset is not in session and actually because of the political wrangling that’s been going on, we only just got a government that will be seated after the Holiday.
That being said, I think it was a calculated move on Obamination’s part to come here a few days before Passover. It has wreaked havoc at the King David hotel which they took over in its entirety. All 237 rooms. The hotel staff is coping with getting them out on Friday before the Shabbat in time for normal guests to arrive for Pesach. They also have had to make special food arrangements because there’s no time to receive a delivery between the American departure and arrival of Passover guests.
That is relatively minor compared to the fact that they had to know that even if Bibi formed a government, there would be no session of the Knesset. So yea, Obamination is snubbing us but he can say he has a perfect excuse.

I: I do agree that Obama’s trip was specifically and insensitively timed for right before Passover, which I was gonna address in another post and still will. That said. Passover doesn’t begin until after he returns home, and I’m sure if he wanted to speak to the Knesset, they’d all be there for his appearance. He is, after all, the U.S. Prez. DS

Italkit on March 18, 2013 at 5:21 pm

    Debbie,

    2 things:

    1. I’m glad he’s leaving before Pesach because Israel will be cleared of more chometz.

    2. Moshe Feiglin, newly elected member of the Knesset, was publicly planning to boycott Obama’s speech over the Jonathon Pollard issue. Obama is such a wimp, he’s afraid to face any opposition protests.

David on March 18, 2013 at 6:41 pm

Debbie, if you’ve never been in Israel the week before Passover, it’s not like the US. Kids are off from school, everyone is going nuts doing their shopping. This year we only have one short day between the end of Shabbat and the start of Passover to get ready. Although many people have cars now, not everyone does and traffic in Jerusalem is going to be all messed up this week because of the visit. Buses are a nightmare, anyway.

I”m not so sure the Knesset would all show up but that’s not the point. The fact that they weren’t asked to IS.

Italkit on March 18, 2013 at 6:55 pm

Italkit,

Israel’s new government was approved by the Knesset today and held its first session. It will hold its last working meeting before the Passover holiday next week on Sunday.

Monday night will be the beginning of Passover and it will last a week in Israel, 8 days in the rest of the world.

NormanF on March 18, 2013 at 5:47 pm

Norm, yeaa, I saw that after I posted. I did mean tho, that the full government would not be meeting as the Knesset until later. Are you sure about Sunday? That’s pushing it for them to get home before Sundown and some of them are observant. Anyway, it’s Seder night which almost everyone celebrates.

Italkit on March 18, 2013 at 6:58 pm

Sunday is the first working day in Israel.

There are discussions in Israel to make Friday, Saturday and Sunday days of rest and put Israelis on a four day work week.

I think people would be more inclined to respect the Sabbath if they got a day off for personal time.

The Israeli Cabinet always meets on Sunday morning. Like you said though, apart from that, there will be no work apart from mid-week, until the week after Passover ends in early April.

NormanF on March 18, 2013 at 7:12 pm

Can someone explain the cumbersomeness of his visit with Passover? I think non-Jews need to know and I am curious and very interested.

What is that P word, by the way?

My apologies regarding my ignorance but I do want to know! 😀

Skunky on March 18, 2013 at 8:04 pm

You mean “Pesach?” That’s Hebrew for Passover. Sorry, Skunky, I”m at that point linguistically where Hebrew and English get confused. The problem is that we get very busy the week before and we have a Sabbath that only gives uus one day to remove all the “hametz” leaven from our homes. This has to be done by Sunday night. Ashkenazim have to switch their dishes and other cooking vessels to their Passover ones and put the everyday stuff in storage. Sephardim can just boil the everyday stuff but that’s a big job, requiring several huge pots of water in which to immerse EVERYTHING that food touches. Most Ashkenazim clean everything. You haven’t seen Spring cleaning like this. They will open every book and check for crumbs! We are more casual about that because what are the chances? Maybe if you have kids who eat in their rooms and over their books, so you clean those but if you keep clean thru the year, it’s not a big deal. I’m gluten free, so I don’t have any leaven in the house 😉
The other problem is more people coming into Jerusalem for the Feast from all over so traffic, which normally is a small nightmare, becomes a big nightmare anyway. With Obamination requiring routes thru the city to be changed, total chaos. We lived in Jerusalem right near the PM’s residence a few years ago. When the Pope came, OMG! It was horrible especially for anyone who depends on buses.
Then the issue with the King David is that they have to get their kitchen ready for Passover as per the above requirements. Since the Ashkenazim are more strict, they follow those guidelines. So they have to clear out all those people early on Friday from the WHOLE HOTEL so that religious guests can check in before the Sabbath which starts around 5:30 PM that Friday. Actually, if the hotel violates the Sabbath, it will lose it’s kosher certification. Usually it’s Arabs who work the hotels on Shabbat anyway but the management has to observe the times. They actually brought separate refrigeration units in to keep the Obmination food because they didn’t have time to get the whole kitchen kosher for Passover. So he’s getting kosher food but not kosher for Passover.

Italkit on March 19, 2013 at 4:20 am

Thanks for taking the time to explain it all Italkit. That indeed is a lot of prep work.

It was good to know, too. Much appreciated!

Skunky on March 19, 2013 at 10:30 am

Norm, the proposal is not to have a 3 day weekend but to work Friday or part of Fri. and have a full Sunday off. This makes sense because the World is off on Sunday and we don’t get a lot accomplished that requires international communication. The religious would get off in time to make it home for Shabbat and many people like the idea.

Italkit on March 19, 2013 at 4:04 am

Oops, I’m running a day ahead of myself. Seder is MONDAY night but coming right after a Shabbat, it’s tough.

Compare Obama’s deference to everything Muslim to his just barely below the surface wild eyed clenched jaw hatred of everything Zionist. I’m not sure if he’s one of them but do know he’s not one of us.

It’s all he can do to hold in his utter contempt for Israel. The poor bastard must throb with the ache of a size ten foot jammed into a size eight shoe.

It’ll give him some degree of perverse relief when on Israel soil to spit in its face and stab it in the back, simultaneously. Then sleep like a baby on the return flight home.

To try to handle it properly I have resigned myself to take these type of fraud shenanigans in stride. I sigh and say to myself the idiot proles of USA gave this shyster TWO terms and my hands are tied with the advent of the second one. And I make myself feel soooooooo much better by also reminding myself how he’s a pathological prevaricator and has a corrupt and twitter-pated Obama-Media covering up for him. Good times. ////

I can’t stand this lying sociopathic Jew-hater. I believe in the compulsion to confess and I believe his little soliloquy on “wearing a moustache” around Israel is his Freudian slip on being too embarrassed about being around “evil” Israel and the Jooooooos and his discomfort because of his loyalties to Islam and Mooooooslims.

Not much I can do anymore. The dopes of this country re-elected this fraud again. It was over when ObamaCare passed and *REALLY* over when this beast was re-elected.

No, no, he doesn’t want to insult Israel.
Israel for him does not really exist as legitimate democratic state. Israel can’t afford to feel snubbed, they must receive the message he his sending.

To do otherwise – to go hat in hand would be a fatal.

I don’t care how many times Bush or Reagan visited Israel or if they made nice when they were there. The only thing I care about is that broadly speaking Israel was a real and valued ally during their terms.

Reagan may have been a bit green when he started but he quickly came around and was instrumental in the U.S.-Israel Strategic Cooperation Agreement amongst other things.

Today Obama is instrumental in isolating Israel, that is his intention and that is his policy.

To pretend that Obama isn’t a quantum leap removed from anything that has come before is completely crazy.

It is traditional for visiting heads of state to address the representative body of a foreign country. Obama’s decision to speak at the Convention Center in Jerusalem and to distribute tickets to an audience of his choosing is a blatant attempt at control. Students at Ariel University were not invited to Obama’s speech.
Obama’s itinerary includes the Church of the Nativity but not the Kotel (Western Wall)
Our President is an anti Israel pro muslim who should never have been elected to lead this great country

As far as the Israeli work week is concerned, depending on what you do for a living, Friday is kind of a half work day already, a lot of people taking off work lunch time, or thereabouts.

Agreed NormanF, namely it’s pathetic we are grovelling before this Jew-hater Obama, that we even have him over (to stab us in the back). Larry in Tel Aviv on March 19, 2013 at 3:39 am

    Larry,

While Obama’s record on Israel is far from perfect, to call him a Jew hater is irresponsible. If Obama is a Jew hater, what the hell is Pat Buchanan?

A Jew hater does things such as link Jews to various conspiracies, claim Jews run the media, question or deny the Holocaust, complain about “Jewish power”, unfairly blast Israel on a regular basis, etc. Obama does none of those of things.

Don’t cheapen the definition of Jew hater by throwing the term around where it doesn’t belong.

Scott on March 19, 2013 at 11:14 pm

Scott, I am glad no one here will put credence in ANYTHING you say. And you also do not hold the definition of “Jew Hater” in your hands.

You’re coming off as more and more moderate but even worse than that, severely ill informed.

Instead of being the gatekeeper on “Jew Hater” (and being an apologist for Obama-Putin) perhaps you should get moving as I told you a few weeks ago and start looking into the MB apparatchiks in the WH. as I listed for you weeks ago because you doubted DS’ TRUTHFUL comments on Moooooslim infiltrators in our Governments (while you had no clue to the severity of the problem).

Shalom Debbie,

You are right to point out that Reagan and Bush, Sr. never visited Israel. However, neither of them owed their political careers to the Jewish community, much less any Israelis. By contrast, Obama owes his entirely political career to Israeli-born Rahm Immanuel. Rahm Immanuel successfully persuaded 70% of the Chicago Jewish community to back Obama’s political aspirations. I remember meeting Obama in 2003 when he was the keynote speaker at the Israeli Solidarity Day in Chicago. He promised to back Israel 100% at all times that day. If it weren’t for the Chicago Jewish community spearheaded by Israeli-born Rahm Immanuel – Obama would still be a professor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Unlike Reagan and Bush, Sr. he is backstabbing the very same people who put him into office.

David Weisskopf on March 19, 2013 at 3:49 am

David Weisskopf, you sure did bring it home with outlining how that beast Rahm Emanuel is actually Israeli born. If that’s not the quintessential example of how Jews can be so disgustingly anti-Jew and anti-Israel (and a Gentile like me can be fierce in my support…when I don’t have a modicum of knowledge on Judaism that an actual Jew would) I can’t think of a better one.

How do you feel at ease if you don’t know who will backstab you? Guess the only given are Arabs and Moooooslims.

Saw in a digest there is actually a book out on the 3 Emanuel bros…the Hollywood Whore Agent, the “kill the non-provider to the system” young and old “Doctor” and the POS, Creepy Ballerina Obama-Putin enthusiast and Mayor of Chi-Town just as you aptly highlighted.

What a world!!!!! Sociopathic creeps celebrated as the salt of the Earth. Wheeeeeeee!

Skunky on March 19, 2013 at 12:18 pm

Skunky, if you want to know more, please ask. It’s kind of hard to really give you a sense of what goes on but the kids are out of school so parents are juggling child care. This is the time of year people throw out a lot of old stuff and replace it. Sales everywhere and everyone is just busier. Anyone with extended family is holding a Seder or going to one. Because travel is prohibited just as on Shabbat, many people travel and stay for several days. Israelis who can afford it may go away so people are traveling more, all of which means more work and preparation the week before. Life here is just harder. Supermarkets are usually pretty depleted on Sunday so shopping will have to be done for both the Shabbat and Passover the previous week. It’s sort of a spirit of anticipation and preparation, I guess, but there’s more energy floating around.

Italkit on March 19, 2013 at 4:28 am

I meant holding a Seder for a big number of people. My husband and I are alone so not a lot to do but we will still do the Seder together.

Italkit on March 19, 2013 at 4:30 am

Oh, and also, now that I’ve had time to let some of this percolate thru my brain I’m wondering why I felt the necessity of defending my Jewishness to Little Al, or my lack of Feminist doctrine for that matter. I don’t align with either Conservative or Liberal. Those have no meaning to me. I pick and choose what I believe fits a situation and is best for all concerned so sometimes I may seem “liberal” while at other times, I’m to the right of Meir Kahane. It’s not a matter of liberal or conservative, left or right. It’s a matter of moral decency and that’s not monolithic.
However, regarding beauty contests, I will say this. I am a Grandmother and as such I tend to see younger women as my daughters at least spiritually. That includes Debbie and is particularly applicable to Jewish women. Torah commands me to teach these younger women from my experience and hopefully from my acquired knowledge. Ok, I do have Asperger’s and I don’t always express myself aptly, especially in print where it’s difficult to convey mood and feeling. Having said that, I feel very strongly that the DAUGHTERS OF ISRAEL should conduct themselves with modesty, discretion and dignity. Halacha commands a level of modesty and sets out specific guidelines that I think most of us here know. While not all non-Orthodox Jews in America follow these and even the Modern Orthodox are less strict, that is not the case in Israel where even “traditional” women will not wear revealing clothing or act in a brazen manner. I think most of you here have a view of Tel Aviv that is probably accurate but what you don’t know is that that is an anomaly. So, it is the anthesis of Feminism to say beauty contests are a disgrace because a Feminist would say that a woman should have the “right” to wear as little as possible in public and even that covering up is repressive.” Teaching girls and women to respect their bodies and to keep some things to themselves and in reserve for their husbands is a way of honoring women but it’s not “Feminist.” Muslims have the concept right but of course, being Muslims, they go to extremes and an extreme of hypocrisy, but what the SAY is not in contraindication to Torah at all. So I will say again, that I grieve for this young woman who thought she had to dishonor her God to make a place for herself in the World when she could be an inspiration to others in taking the high road.

    Italkit,

With all due respect to your grandmotherly knowledge and wisdom, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Feminists as a rule hate beauty pageants. They believe pageants are an insult to women, making them merely “sex objects”.

It’s ironic that when it comes to women’s sexuality, reactionaries such as yourself and feminists share common ground – for completely different reasons of course.

Scott on March 19, 2013 at 11:32 pm

Italkit, your initial comments about an Ethiopian Jew winning a beauty contest were completely political; it was a cruel device to mask the discrimination against them.

Now that this has been discredited you have migrated to religious objections, which were absent, or de-emphasized in your original comments a couple of weeks ago. And you printed the population control garbage because you could find nothing to refute it? Such a high standard for, and regard for accuracy. Just print something if a cursory search can find nothing to refute it. Does this qualify as ‘research?’

I think someone who has Aspergers should devote special care to written communication. Examples might include rereading drafts of comments, or waiting an hour and looking at them again, to assess their tone. At times it might mean refraining from making a comment.

Now, you rely on religious considerations to attack beauty contests, since your assertions of population control against Ethiopians have been shattered.

Because I am feeling charitable this morning, I will refrain from commenting on your maternal feelings. I will also refrain, for now, on commenting about your assertion that lifting internet passages to insert as comments qualifies as ‘research’.

cites facebook page and has a link to Knesset speech exhorting a walk-out during anticipated Presidential speech.
In response, Moshe Feiglin wrote:

Obama’s decision not to come to the Knesset did not surprise me. As early as last week, very senior officials who are aware of my connection to Pollard attempted to find out how I planned to react. I thought it over for a while, because it is not my way to shout and make a scene. On the other hand, how could I sit quietly and honor the president of the nation that has imprisoned our brother Jonathan for 28 years? I decided upon the empty-chair method and I have no doubt that quite a few of the Knesset Members were going to join me.

I hate to say it but Obama my President is arrogant and an idiot and no good

Clinton Alexander on March 20, 2013 at 3:18 am

Israel should snub Obama and send him back to the USA

Clinton Alexander on March 20, 2013 at 3:21 am

To Scott way up above who tells me I exaggerate by calling Obama a Jew-hater, and that I shouldn’t cheapen the term.

Nonsense, Obama is a Jew-hater who gladly attended an anti-Semitic church for decades whilst pretending ignorance of J Wright’s Jew-hatred, a man he fawned over. Scott forgets to mention this. Obama’s administration is/has been filled to the brim with anti-Semites and Obama has successfully nominated Jew-haters to head Defense and the CIA (Hagel and Brennan). Obama has on the UN stage called for Israel to surrender the West Bank to Hama.. uh the Palestinians, to “take a risk for peace”, even as such a move would mean a return to ‘Auschwitz borders’.

Obama froths about the Jews building homes in… East Jerusalem, as if it somehow causes Palestinians to take their Muslim faith seriously. Obama praises the Jew-hater, the Muslim extremist Hamas supporter Erdogan of Turkey as his “closest confidant” in the region. Obama has helped empower the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and supports arming them even as they threaten Israel with war (sooner or later).

Obama is more upset about the Jews building homes in the ancient Jewish capital of the Jewish state, than he is about rampant murder, despotism and tyranny from Pakistan to Nigeria, from South Africa to Brazil, Mexico to Kashmir(of which he has nothing to say). Obama is more upset about Jews building homes than he is the weekly never-ending jihad mass murdering and maiming terror from Iraq to Algeria and Egypt, to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand and the Sudan. Obama is upset with the Jews for building homes and no other people on earth for the same “crime”. Obama thinks Jews building homes is what makes Palestinians embrace jihad, even as jihad is intrinsic to Islam. So yes Obama is a Jew-hater (and for other reasons I don’t even bother with but I can only write so much here) and a moron like all bigots too.

Larry in Tel Aviv on March 20, 2013 at 8:49 am

Great job on the deadly ace to the crotch of crotchety “Scott” (the moderate and Islamo-apologist these days), Larry In Tel Aviv.

He’s just trolling for attention and trying to debate people for attention. Trouble is he doesn’t know WTF he is talking about from Feminism, Moooooslim infiltrators in the WH Administration, comparing selective Libtard outrage and taking umbrage when an obvious Jew Hater is called a Jew Hater.

I’m calling him out on his stupidity (and attention seeking) and alerting the regulars (not that they could not figure it out themselves).

Skunky on March 20, 2013 at 12:10 pm

    Larry,

Nothing in your proves Obama is a Jew-hater, even combined with Reverend Wright.

Speaking of Wright, if you’re going to accuse Obama otf anything more than a moral failure for not denouncing and leaving Wright’s church sooner, then you’ll also have to accuse Obama of being a self-hating white man, because Wright directed a lot more vitriol at whites than he did at Jews.

This means that not only is Obama a self-hating Caucasian (he’s half white), but that hate would also extend to his white mother and his white grandparents who played a significant role in his upbringing.

Other US presidents have had anti-Semites in their administrations as well including Ronald Reagan’s close and trusted advisor Caspar Weinberger, James Baker,Pat Buchanan,Paul Craig Roberts, etc, etc.

Is Obama a philo-Semite? Most likely not. Is he somewhat anti-Semitic? Possibly. A Jew hater? No.

No one on this website ia more pro-Israel than I am. While some bloggers on this site have swooned over empty platitudes delivered by various GOP politicians, I’ve demanded allegedly pro-Israel candidates state unequivocally that so-called settlements are not a hindrance to peace, and I’ve also demanded these candidates give a firm deadline for moving the US embassy to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem.

So while Obama’s babbling the same tired BS about settlements, confidence measures, etc, his hostility to Netanyahu, failure to address the Knesset, a case can be made that he’s hardly a lover of Israel.

Remember though, that none of his policies are out of line with previous presidents as well as most liberals including many Jews and Israeli liberals as well.

In fairness, it should also.be pointed out that Obama has increased aid to Israel as well as providing Israel with bunker busters and other weapons systems that were never provided to Israel in.the past.

Scott on March 21, 2013 at 12:36 am

FYI: There were several MK’s who were planning to walk out on Obama in protest of Jonathan Pollard. Perhaps there was mutual consent to avoid press not to speak there. There was also planned protest by Israeli students to walk out when he addressed the students protesting the fact that Ariel students were not invited.
If i was Bibi, I’d want to make the president’s visit simply symbolic and avoid any opportunities for negative press, and the press, we all know are like a school of piranha.

Listen! While we can surmise that being a powerful speaker is great, but eventually you have to “get something done”.

Granted, although on May 12, 2013 at 1:07 pm

Listen! This was purportedlyB Obama’s promise prior to the last election. Is there any evidence of any progress as far as sustainable energy goes?
