Oliver Stone Echoes Views of Best Bud Yasser Arafat

Tonight, Stone and his friend, Peter Kuznick, broadcast the final episode of their revisionist, anti-American history of the United States on Showtime. The show, “The Untold History of the United States,” follows their revisionist, Anti-American book of the same name. To promote the show, they authored a long attack on America in today’s USA Today. Perhaps a name change of Anti-USA Today is in order. While their article is an attack on Barack Obama from the far-left–lumping him in with George W. Bush in saying that both want an “American empire,” among their comments are loud and obnoxious attacks on Israel and praise of Iran and Hagel.

Obama has been hard on Iran, tightening sanctions and threatening military action if it pursues a nuclear weapons program that the intelligence community has consistently said it abandoned in 2003, and soft on Israel, whose government’s recalcitrance and expansion of settlements undermine the prospects for a two-state solution. . . .

There are, however, a few signs of hope that Obama’s approach is changing. Nominating Chuck Hagel as secretary of Defense — with his criticism of the Israel lobby, sensible approach toward Iran, opposition to the surge in Iraq and repudiation of nuclear weapons — and John Kerry as secretary of State represents a major break with the hawks who populated Obama’s first administration.

None of these comments should be a surprise to anyone who has followed Stone and his radical idiocy. He did a video love-letter to his then-close friend Yasser Arafat on HBO (which posed as a “documentary”) just after Arafat mass-murdered Jews at a Passover Seder, he regularly hangs out with HAMAS leaders, and he made a series of anti-Semitic comments. It’s interesting that he feigns support for a “two-state solution” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, when his buddies in HAMAS (whom he visited and hugged) support a one-state solution (as in, no Israel). And, as we know, Stone expressed strong admiration for Hitler who tried to do the same thing to the Jews that his HAMAS buddies are trying to do now, as they openly call for the elimination of the entire Jewish people worldwide in their charter.

That Showtime and USA Today–mainstream media outlets–give his hateful views space and exposure is outrageous. But his support for Chuck Hagel (and John Kerry) should be trounced upon by Republican Senators at the confirmation hearings.

Sadly, they don’t–and never will–have the guts.

You know the proverbial saying about “the company they keep,” and, sadly, the company Chuck Hagel and John Kerry keep is Oliver Stone, apparatchick for Iran and HAMAS. With “friends” like them, who needs enemies?

Sure, Hagel is an anti-Semite but that’s not why he should be opposed.

He should be opposed because he’ll weaken America’s military and the ability of our country to do much good in a dangerous world.

In a word, he’ll be our first post-American Secretary Of Defense.

Your mistake is in saying its an issue that only concerns Jews. I don’t disagree with the points you made here but the issue is far wider than simply being about Israel. Its about America’s future as a Great Power.

Before Obama, America viewed its as exceptional nation that sought to play a world role commensurate with its perception of its own greatness.

Obama said America is nothing special, no different from Russia, Greece or the Islamic Barbaristans which we confront. So if America doesn’t need a large military, America’s glory days as a Great Power are now behind it.

The larger point is great civilizations aren’t defeated from without. They disintegrate from within. We’re content to accept decline and are becoming more like Europe – replate with the Jewish bashing.

It ain’t a pretty sight.

It was not so long ago — have we forgotten the politicians’ attacks and revisionism already? They attacked all our traditions just like the Obama crew is doing. At the time it was unheard of to attack our country in time of war.

Remember ‘immediate withdrawal’ from Vietnam? The politicians of both parties who advocated this were calling for a US defeat, Congress withheld funds in the early 70s, Church villified the CIA, Carter’s cabinet officers pandered to terrorists and anti-Americans. It was not so long ago, and we shouldn’t forget about it.

I’m not mistaken! I said they’re perceived as Jewish issues by a lot of people, which is truly unfortunate. Israel’s survival and stopping Iran from becoming a nuclear hegemon is not just about what could happen to a small people living far away from us, its about our own survival because Iran and Islamic terrorists won’t stop with Israel.

Israel may be their target but we are also in their firing line. When Hagel’s supporters and the mainstream media reduce this to a case of ethnic dislike for Hagel, they are doing this country a disservice as well as the many people who relate to the controversy without looking at the larger picture. Its true they are American issues and I didn’t write they aren’t. My point in the first place being more than Jews ought to and do care about it.

That’s why its important.

It is definitely an American issue, but at the same time, clearly Hagel does not like Jews very much, and he is definitely pandering to Arabs and Muslim terrorists (pardon the overlap).

But socialists, even those who are de facto, are almost invariably anti-semitic, and have been, except for very short time intervals earlier in the 20th century. There are a few, but very few, exceptions.

I think some of us here are more influenced by the mainstream media spin than we care to admit. I’m sure all of you have heard the often repeated charge that “so-and-so as an Israel-first” politician, used in a manner to suggest that if a particular politican holds strongly pro-Israel positions, that politician puts Israel before America. Hagel, himself, invoked that charge against his critics arguing that he is a “U.S.” Senator, implying that he puts the interests of the United States before Israel’s interests. This theme has been repeated with such frequency in the media, that the truth has been virtually lost.

The reality of the situation is that politicians like Hagel or Paul do NOT put the interests of the USA first AT ALL. On the contrary, they have both repeatedly voted in favor of improving contacts with AMERICA’S ENEMIES. Of course, they will tell you that countries like Iran are not America’s enemies, and that improving relations with them will best serve the long-term interests of America.

These “arguments” have been made by Meirsheimer and Walt, of the University of Chicago and Harvard University, repsectively. Not surprisingly, Hagel, Paul, Meirsheimer, and Walt are simply “dressed-up” (if that) versions of David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. (Meirsheimer and Walt actually claimed that they were “disheartened” to learn that David Duke agreed 100% with him and that they have “vindicated” (i.e. corroborated) what Duke has been saying for many years.) The media, of course, is not giving Duke much air time, but in this case, they should because the equation “Chuck Hagel = David Duke” seems pretty solid to me, and Duke is delighted with Obama’s choice.

Furthermore, at the same time that Hagel advocates making nice-nicey with Iran, and other enemies of America, Hagel also believes that the USA spends too much money on self-defense. I believe that he used the word “bloated” to describe the Dept. of Defense. So THREE things are served by nominating Hagel: (1) Cutting Defense of the USA; (2) Making Friends with America’s Enemies, principally Islam; and (3) Harming Israel’s Security. The three things go together and are ineluctibly tied to one another.

So, the next time anyone accuses you or some honorable politician in the minority of being an “Israel-firster,” you tell them that you’re not an “Islam-firster” and that making friends with America’s enemies is what a traitor does–not what a patriot does.

And let me also point out that Hagel, Paul, Meirsheimer, Walt, Jimmy Carter, David Duke, and their ilk are direct political descendants of former Rep. Paul Findley of Illinois. Finldey was, in fact, the political originator of the idea that a “true American” supports Israel’s enemies and those of the United States.

While it is true that Finley has received lots of funding from Arab interests, his loyalty to Islam and to the enemies of civilization goes much deeper than mere money. Finldey is a true believer in the Hitlerian sense.

Findley hatred for Israel was so strong that he worked closely with Bin Laden funded protege’ Ahmed Deedat–who became a close friend of Findley’s–at the Islamic Propagation Center International (“ICPI”) in South Africa . The ICPI is headquartered in a building named “The Bin Laden Centre” as a gesture of thanks to Osama and his family. Findley made a tape with Deedat entitled “Israel” Ripe for Destruction?”

Among the most prominent of Findley’s publications was the anti-Israel diatribe “They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel’s Lobby.” This work is the literal blueprint for the “philosophy” of Obama, Paul, Hagel, Meirscheimer, Walt, Jimmy Carter, etc. It is, in fact, their “Mein Kampf” and they treat its words and ideas as gospel.

Findley has published a newer book, “Silent No More: Confronting America’s False Images of Islam.” I don’t have to tell you what that book is about. It should be no surprise to learn that Finley’s work was funded by the Council of American Islamic Relations and the United Arab Emirates.

Unfortunately, more and more politicians are also making Findley their Godfather. Ironically, Sen. Dick Durbin won his first race for Congress by positioning himself as a strong supporter of Israel, defeating long-term incumbent Republican Paul Findley, edging out him out by just over 1,000 votes, chiefly because of financial support from pro-Israel donors across the country. Recently, however, Durbin gushed over the possible nomination of Chuck Hagel as Defense Secretary. Truly a revolting turn of events.

The Paul Findley books–not only the two titles mentioned, but also a third one whose title I won’t name but, like one of the mentioned titles, it’s also about U.S.-Israeli relations–are required reading only for those who want to believe in pro-Islamic and anti-Semitic fantasies; for the rest of us who want the truth about the topics that the three Findley books discusses–a must skip.

Actually, there is a substantial amount of budget-cutting that can be done in the Defense Department. Not in our fighting men (the women are another story) and not in needed weapons, but in the civilian support staff. There are hundreds of thousands of civilians, and far too many military as well, involved in duplicative and inefficient procurement procedures that could probably be cut in half, save salaries and pension costs of hundreds of thousands of employees, and free up military personnel for more needed assignments.

But of course, since it is all political, it will never happen.

As I understand it, one cannot become a non-Jew if one is born a Jew. At least that’s what I’ve heard from reputable sources. But I think we need to revisit this opinion. People like Stone certainly do not give evidence of any Jewish feeling. How do we know that he is even halachically Jewish?

Oliver Stone’s endorsement would normally be cringe worthy for any normal nominee. Of course, Chuck Hagel and Bob Kerry no longer have to account for their past actions. Barack Obama got his 51% of the popular vote, and that is a landslide. Of course, I did not recall G.W. Bush’s getting 50.7% of the popular vote in 2004 being deemed a popular mandate. It must be those three tenths of a percent that make the difference. Bill Clinton had far more convincing wins against his two Republican opponents in 1992 and 1996. Barack Obama in reality is no more powerful than his opponents care to make him. He is more of an excuse for not doing anything or caving in, than a reason. The situation with a Senate confirmation is of course different, since the Democrats do have a significant majority in that chamber. Hagel is the weakest link in Obama’s lineup of cabinet nominees. His stances over the years would have even given some Democrats pause in the past. If Senator Chuck Schumer did not have a seat for life in New York STate, he would probably even vote against Hagel. In most respects, Hagel is worse than Obama’s perferred choice of Susan Rice, and this was not accident. Barack Obama takes criticism or rejection in much the way a small child would. He becomes petulant and vindictive. Barack Obama cannot break out of the “I” and “Me” mold when dealing with others. He sees everything as potentially combative in areas of interest to him. In areas where he is less likely to score a decisive win or feels indifference, he becomes very passive. In foreign policy, this passivity is most evident. He mouths sentiments that he apparently has no belief in, such as “the world is watching”, etc. In time, even the densest opponent perceives that there is northing behind American bluster. North Korea can successfully launch an intercontinental ballistic missile that could in time put our West Coast at risk, but there is barely a whisper from the White House about it. Japan and the Philippines are facing a China that is increasingly aggressive with the full knowledge that their mutual defense treaties with the Unites States are of little to no value. That is where things stand.

Worry, Obama-Putin is a very dangerous and an absolute fraud. People who think he cares and he’s smarter than he really is are totally lost on queerstreet. I know we see his real evilness and mediocrity but I wonder how those who have to be around him can stomach the reality of what he is. It must chaffe SOME of them.

Our OT can explain it best but he is really mentally messed up. His kooky family can be blamed for that. But put me on record as someone who does NOT feel sorry for that malignant narcissist. I would even call him a sociopath, but I am not 100% convinced he is yet as I am that Billy Jeff Clinton is.

I saw an interesting vid on youtube by David Lory VanDerBeek he REALLY wants to get Obama removed from office and tossed in jail. He is a bit of an odd duck however he is a strong constitutionalist and brings up some cery good points as to why he should be impeached.

@Jaques, I agree and if you’ve read some the interviews Oliver Stone he gave discussing ‘Natural-Born Killers’ you have an even better idea.
He’s a big nasty kid playing a very grown up game.
It may just be that he’s totally dedicated to the destruction of some idea of the west he picked up from 60s counter culture but then again maybe he just doesn’t care.

I think the looney left really only exists to make Obama look moderate by comparison. I mean functionally speaking.
Their end goals are exactly the same and for moderates he’s really a massive own goal. That’s my 50 cents anyway.
