Harold & Kumar Join the ACLU: Actor Kal Penn Denounces Terrorist Profiling; Teaches Course on it at UPenn

By
Actor Kal Penn–of “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” fame–has been getting a lot of attention this year–first for his and now for his starring role in “.”
Penn (real name: Kalpen Suresh Modi) is a talented actor, but when it comes to his politics, there are just two words needed: shut up.
In an interview with USA Weekend, he says of his role on “24”:

I hope it ticked people off enough that they’re going to write their senators and say we don’t believe that racial profiling will capture any terrorists.

He sounds like the stoner he played in “Harold & Kumar.” Maybe he wasn’t acting.

Kal Penn

Uh, actually Kal, in poll after poll, most Americans do believe in racial profiling. They know it works. If only our federal law enforcement would actually practice it, we’d get the job done.
Penn just finished filming the “Harold & Kumar 2“. And, unfortunately, he has extra time on his hands to teach courses on film at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania.
And you can bet he will be railing against profiling of Muslim terrorists (many of whom are Asian) in his courses–one of them is “Images of Asian Americans in Media.”
If you are a Penn student planning to take this course, remember to do the PC thing and regurgitate the left-wing BS against profiling. You’ll get an A. And don’t forget to praise “Harold & Kumar,” which the conceited Penn has also put on the course syllabus as “very educational” (riiiiight).
And don’t forget to write me with reports on the PC BS you’re “taught” by Kal Penn. I’ll post it. You’re paying for an Ivy League education, and instead, getting an ACLU education.
Academia, Entertainment, and the Media are the most important establishments controlled by leftists. Penn’s got 2 of the three covered.

In other words, his politics are just as his hollyweird collegues which tells you alot of how much they know. You would be vulnerable just as well as I would be to buy this p.c. b.s. if you were educated at HollyWeird University under the influence of dope. He is just a puppet like the rest of them, no less.

This issue really is a no brainer. In some respects profiling is a necessary and crucial device that must be utilzed in order to pursue criminals, terrorists and the like. To be specific, race should not be the ONLY criteria used to profile someone-just ONE of a number things that should be considered. Liberals have a tendency to promulgate the dissolution of profiling tactics altogether. This is unrealisitc, if not foolhardy. The answer is SMART profiling….if one fits a certain stereotype-whether that is Latino or African american in hiphop attire with criminal mannerisms, a White meth biker or a Allah spouting fundamentalist Muslim than that person will be subject to interrogation based on adherence to the STEREOTYPE. Conversely, No stereotype=no problems. Nuff said.

The reason for the success that El-Al enjoys in flying the friendly skies is that they DO racial/muzlum/terrorist profiling. They don’t cave into the LIBERAL, PC bullshit that gave us 9/11. I’m sure that osama bum laden, mohammad atta and his crew would’ve loved to pull off the 9/11 attacks using El-Al in order to make a statement, but they knew they’d NEVER get past El-Al’s rigorous and effective screeing process.
This Kalpen Suresh Modi asswipe sounds just like the other barbarians from whence he was spawned.

the funny thing is that his character on 24 was a next door neighbor posing as a terrorist, who was harassed by a redneck type for being a terrorist, defended by the nice liberal family next door… whom he then took hostage at gun point
so if people are going to be writing their congressmen based on that episode, it won’t be for an end to racial profiling

Loved the Harold and Kumar movies. But I don’t blame these Hollywood people for saying what they say. They don’t know any better and they probably are just puppets of Scientology. But profiling is a must. 9-11 happened because those hijackers weren’t profiled. But lets all just think for a moment. If things were this bad under a Bush administration can anyone even begin to imagine what will happen when and if a democratic candidate is elected president?

I’ve found the Wishlist feature on TiVo helpful in filtering out leftist actors. Type in the name of a loud mouthed lefty actor, and quickly give 3 Thumbs Down to all the programs that they are in. Makes TV viewing so much more enjoyable. Now, if TiVo could only include a “commie content warning”….

That 24 episode makes clear the scenario that even your sweet-tempered neighbor could very well be the sleeper cell in your midst.
The betrayal by Ahmed of the liberal and trusting neighbors, reducing them to “enemy” status without a hint of conscience, was chilling–and was a testament for the NEED to profile. Maybe that episode woke some people up, contrary to what Kal thinks he accomplished!

The failure to investigate reports due to wrongly applied accusations of racial profiling directly contributed to the success of the attacks of 9/11.
Actor James Woods attributes this selective blindness to the failure to follow up on his reports of witnessing 9/11 trial runs by a group of suspicious individuals that included two of the actual 9/11 hijackers…….mere weeks before the attacks.

Mr. Penn needs to come to the realization that radical Muslims are NOT a race.

“And you can bet he will be railing against profiling of Muslim terrorists (many of whom are Asian) in his courses–one of them is “Images of Asian Americans in Media.””
Asian American? What a dishonest euphemism that is. There’s a world of difference between a Pakistani immigrant and the Chinese and Korean kids who make up 75% of UC Berkeley. “Asian” as a classification in general is pretty useless, since it describes half the people in the world.
I AGREE THAT IT’S A VERY BROAD CATEGORY. AND WHILE MANY ASIAN MUSLIM TERRORISTS ARE PAKISTANI, FILIPINO (ABU SAYYAF), ETC., DON’T FORGET THAT SOME OF THE TERRORISTS HELD AT GITMO WERE UIGHURS–CHINESE MUSLIMS.

This just kills me. For the longest time, I wanted to teach basic Earth Science to community college folks. Nothing glamorous, mind you. Since I don’t have my master’s degree (only real world experience), I would only get $1000 PER CLASS for the entire semester!!
Meanwhile, this yahoo gets right in to one of the top schools in the nation.
Gotta go find my “life isn’t fair” helmet.

Debbie, what do you expect from a school where the president poses for pictures with a mock suicide bomber and then lies about it? Anyway I figure if we have kids they’ll be naturally smart and school will just be for kicks.

Thanks for the info, Debbie. I was not aware.

I would have much respect for Mr.Penn/Modi, if because of his opposition to profiling, he had refused to do the 24 role.
It is a tad hypocritical of him, to accept the part/money and then, in order to please the hollywood mafia, ACT outraged.
Maybe that is it; he is acting.
After all, Mira Nair, the Namesake director, and her husband, Prof.Mehmood Mamdani, who teaches anthropology at Columbia University, have far, far left leaning views on pretty much everything.
It is ironic, that they are not disgusted enough to immigrate to France or even the utopia known as the middle east.

This is yet another example of mindless American ignorance. I agree that Kal uses his ethnicity only when it’s convenient for him (i.e. on 24), but your stance on racial profiling is as baseless as it is absurd.
