Oscar Nominated Israeli Director: Rabbis Are “Biggest Threat,” “Israel Doesn’t Want Peace,” Settlements “Illegal”

Today, the Oscar nominations were announced, and in the category of Documentary, the Israeli film, “The Gatekeepers,” was nominated and will probably win the Academy Award. That’s because it’s a self-hating anti-war, anti-Israel movie made by Israeli leftist, Dror Moreh. As I always say, the most anti-Israel, anti-Semitic movies are made in Israel by Jews. If you think the Hollywood left is bad, you haven’t met the Israeli Tel Aviv Hollywood left.

“The Gatekeepers” is a so-called documentary featuring interviews with the six former heads of the Shin Bet, which is Israel’s version of the FBI mixed with some CIA. While some of them are well-known disgruntled leftists, others’ interviews were edited–by Moreh’s own proud declaration–to fit Moreh’s rabidly anti-Israel political views (as he notes in the video below). The director says he fashioned the movie on Errol Morris’ “The Fog of War,” an anti-war documentary featuring interviews with Robert McNamara, the Defense Secretary who screwed up the Vietnam War when we were winning and got more Americans killed. Ironically, Moreh’s surname means “teacher” in Hebrew, but the only thing I learned after listening to a half hour of this schmuck’s blather, in the video below, is what self-hating, anti-Semitic scumbags some Israeli Jews can be, and I already knew that. I’ve written about it repeatedly on this site.

In over a half hour of idiotic naval gazing ramblings, Moreh told fellow self-hating Jewish moron, David Poland, that the only reason there is no peace in the Middle East is that, “We (Israel) don’t want peace. If we would have want [sic] peace, peace would’ve been there” (at about 10 minutes into the video). Yup, those terrorist attacks by HAMAS and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades only happened because of Israel. It’s all the JOOOS’ fault that the Fogel family was murdered in cold blood while they slept by Palestinian Muslims. He also went on to say that “the most dangerous people” are “rabbis.” Not HAMAS, not Hezbollah, not Islamic jihad, but rabbis. Only a completely blind, deaf, and dumb Israeli–or one with the same hatred for Jews as the Nazis had and Muslims have always had–would make such moronic, absurd, and patently false statements. And yet his movie was financed by the government of Israel, because not a single Israeli Prime Minister has had the tiniest set of cojones necessary to shut down the government’s film grants to these Jewish in Name Only self-styled mini Bin Ladens.

Another completely misinformed statement by this shmuck: “The biggest problem now to the peace process is [sic] the settlements. The biggest problem!” Uh-huh, not the fact that the Palestinians all continue to endorse, embrace, and perpetrate Islamic terrorism and the end of all of Israel. Moreh claims the settlements are “illegal.” But, in fact, U.N. negotiator Eugene V. Rostow specifically said that he made sure the settlements were NOT illegal under the U.N. Resolutions–242 and 338–that he negotiated. He noted this in, “Resolved: Are the Settlements Legal?” published in The New Republic, in October, 1991. (Many more sources on the legality of Israeli settlements at My Right Word.) This Hebrew-speaking idiot, Moreh, just doesn’t know anything.

And that is why he is the toast of mainstream media movie critics–almost all of them liberals–everywhere and all of the most prestigious film festivals, including Sundance and Toronto. It is also why his tripe on film is an Oscar nominee and will probably win. It’s rare, anymore, that Hollywood actually gives awards to the truly good stuff (and almost as rare when it actually makes any good stuff). It’s all about left-wing politics and diatribes, including the self-hating anti-Semitic, anti-Israel drivel of people like Dror Moreh, who make high quality HAMAS cinema.

If Dror Moreh were alive in 1941 Auschwitz, he’d be an Uber-Kapo, shoving Jews into the ovens to please the Nazis. But since that job isn’t available to him today, he’s chosen another avenue to burn the Jews to ashes. (I also blame the former Shin Bet leaders, who all knew better, but appeared in his propaganda movie anyway. They sold Israel down the river.)

And, so, it’s a good bet that Clooney and Redgrave and the other pieces of crap who vote for the Oscars will be voting his way.

Who needs HAMAS studios, when you have Dror Moreh productions? Leni Riefenstahl would be proud.

17% of Israelis are leftists but since that figure includes Arabs, the total number of leftist Jews in Israel is somewhere around 10%.

But its not their numbers that matter even though they’re a fringe in Israeli Jewish society and leftist political parties have little real appeal there.

Their importance is the prominence of Dror Moreh and other leftists like him. What they lack in public support in Israel they more than make up in their influence abroad.

I’m sure this person knew that such a film would do well in the Oscar process, and that this would have a lucrative financial aspect for his career.

In every society there are opportunists who ‘go with the flow’ to enhance their careers and well-being. In this case, it overlaps with his leftism.

I felt liberated when I finally decided that I wouldn’t fret about Israel anymore. I’d be devastated if the Jews there were annihilated, but they’ve pretty much asked for it.

My liberation occurred after reading and contributing to Israel National News, the main settler newspaper, for several years. I expected only the worst from the militant Israeli Left. But what I experienced from the so-called settler types and settler-sympathizers was appalling: dishonesty, cowardice, nastiness, a marked lack of Torah sophistication, a gleeful practice of censoring arguments that were inconvenient, and so forth. Bear in mind that I am at last as pro-settlement of the land as any over there.

As for the substance of Debbie’s post, I think she does not properly identify the issue in Israel. Yes, the Left is pernicious, as it is everywhere. But what gives the Left such power in Israel–far more than it has here, even with Hussein as President–is that the Left’s war against Jews is a war that has been joined by a sizable chunk of the population.

I’ve said before that there are two Halachically Jewish populations there: the Jews and the Israelis. The Jews are Jewish first and Israeli second; the Israelis are Israeli first. The Israelis have always been on top, and the whole governmental structure ensures this. This war between populations explains the horror the political elites have for what is most important symbolically for Jews, e.g, Hebron and the Temple Mount. In addition, these areas are Jewish, not Israeli, so course the Israelis don’t really think they belong to them–they don’t!

But to come full circle, for every left-wing biggy scum there you will find a biggy rabbi scum. For every bunch of leftist rabble you will find an equivalent be-hatted rabble. Both Judaism and Western-style government have become so deformed that the whole enterprise reeks.

No point in fretting about a drawn-out suicide compact. I mean, you try to reason with them. You worry. You thrown some money occasionally that way. But really, this is what they want.

The most prophetic and brilliant novel about the Islamic threat that I have ever read is Tom Kratman’s Caliphate. Tom was the Director of Instruction in Rule of Law at the Army War College, he was also an infantry battalion director. He IS a great military SF writer.

I was puttering around Amazon when I found that Caliphate is FINALLY on Kindle. Better yet, today it is FREE! Skunky,skzion, Sean, DEBBIE, encourage people to download this great work. Really, really, brilliant—the fictional illustration of the coming Eurabia, and what it will do to us, and what it might take to stop it. Horrifying and magnificent.

Yeah, Tom made a note somewhere about how the book is really a nightmare scenario.

I thought Laurie Hodge was a very decent hman being in the book, as was John Hamilton.

The problem with not meeting Islam with necessary force and drive now to dissuade Muslims away from sharia is that when the time comes when they go too far (nuking 3 American cities would do it), the response from us would be horrific, and probably too much. Without giving anything away, it should be noted that 1) nuclear airbursts tend to have transient contaminatory effects (note Hisroshima is a thriving city today) and 2) what is required for the scenario outlined in the novel to take place is a) WMD assault on the US and b) initial pusillanimous response to the assault.

The Obama administration is setting up “a” every day, and does anyone really doubt that if a WMD attack occurred on US soil, their response would be “b?”

That’s what makes the damn book so SCARY.

Searching for peace with Islamists is similar to the fish seeking to work with sharks on a mutual co-existence pact. How many beheaded Jewish babies followed Palestinian candy passing will it require for idiots to see the light? Or is that hope similar to waiting for pigs to learn to sing?

OT, I am gonna put that book on my list. I am glad you recommended it again as I meant to do it the last time and time slipped away from me.

I can’t say for sure (because I don’t see many Hollywood movies or really care to) but at the gym I saw a segment on CNN (Boston gyms only play CNN or MSNBC…or both…not that I’d rather PAWNN…) but I sensed a pattern (maybe?) when they highlighted Affleck got snubbed (even with his Libtard beginning or “Argo”) as well as “Zero Dark Thirty” (I don’t believe DS reviewed that but I could be wrong).

It may or may not be a shot in the dark but it looked like Hollywood Libtards were not tolerating any film that was not 100% Libtard. Just a feeling.

I am glad to know this about this director. Libtards are horrible enough but nothing has perplexed me more than anti-Jewish (anti-Israel) Jews. I just don’t get it.

And lately, I have been shocked when I have heard people whom I thought were staunch Conservatives take direct aim at Jews and Israel. I don’t go for that.

But then I am reminded of what I have learned (little by little) here…that so many anti-Jew sorts like Chuck Hagel seem to not understand that Libtard self-hating Jews are not the same a proud, real Conservative Jews.

(Shaking my head) Oh boy. Actually, it would be an excellent statement if this was aimed at the Arab/Muslim states and terror groups that want to destroy Israel. Israel has made many offers of peace–including to its discredit capitulating to the phony narrative of “land for peace”–and Israel’s enemies have responded by basically giving Israel their collective middle finger. Skunky, I am now prepared to conclude, without reservation, that Kershaw=P’Shaw=waste of time.

His argument about Good Islam is based in an assertion that somewhere out there we will find millions of people thought to be Muslims who are good folk. Given my refusal to allow him to create his own facts regarding Good Muslims, he proceeded to create a version of Islam based on his own ruminations about the literal text of a few pieces of Koranic suras.

Ultimately, for P’shaw, it follows that there IS no body of Good Islam at all that he can identify. There is merely an assertion of millions of nice Muslims who contain some mysterious beliefs that avoid the problems of Islam that grew when those following Mo had the chance to wreck the doctrine. Kind of like the argument that the Church made up lots of stuff after Jesus, while Jesus and his teachings where themselves fine. As if Mo didn’t personally form Islam as we know it!

Of course, the history of those Muslim masses shows that they, as a collectivity, have been diligent in their practice of Islam. In other words, the mass is no place to look for a kinder, gentler Islam. 1.8 Billion Nazis with a cult of personality around mo.

You know all this stuff, of course, but I wanted to state for the record that P’shaw absolutely refuses to learn anything. He will not engage in real argumentation, ultimately seeking refuge feel-good pabulum. He wants one to agree to disagree on the basic facts of the case. He’s happy though to agree on minor issues (e.g. that Saudis are scum) to seem moderate and reasonable, though in fact he is unreasonable with preposterous leftist sympathies.

That’s BS, Kershaw. The territories of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza belong to Israel no less so than does its pre-1967 borders. Israel has already made too many concessions and should reverse them, beginning with their withdrawal from Gaza. There is nothing provactive of Israel defending their own lands. The real complaint is that Israel hasn’t gone far enough in doing so. If the Arab and/or Muslim terrorists don’t like that fact, then that’s their problem. The concessions have to all come from the Arab/Muslim side so as to conform to reality.

The amount of self-hatred within Jewish ranks is extraordinary, and there is no parallel in any other religion. As a Catholic, I know plenty of nominal Catholics, who simply opt out of taking the sacraments on a regular basis, but there are precious few who actually work to destroy the Church.

Granted, nominal Catholics exist in great numbers—especially in so-called “Catholic” Latin American countries—but their lack of religion mostly brings discredit to themselves, and that’s where it stops.

Sure, there is along way to go still, but watch this election. I think there is a huge silent majority in Israel that is either Torah-obervant or at least Torah-friendly. And they are tired of letting the small cabal of leftists run the whole show. The sleeping giant of genuinely good and decent Jews in Israel is waking, and the trend is in a wonderful direction.

Now, if you wanted to make the case that the Islam that DS, skzion has described as being the real Islam is only merely a “bad Islam” and that the real Islam is “is good at its core” alongside Judaism and Christianity and other great religions, then part of your argument should have included that Islam recognizes the fact that Israel–meaning All of it and not just its pre-1967 borders alone–belongs to the Jewish people. Instead it looks like you are saying that Islam indeed doesn’t recognize the fact that Israel belongs to the Jewish people and are saying that it is even so much as partially legitimatacy when in fact it has absolutely NO LEGITIMACY WHATSOEVER. Just this fact alone would cause Islam to be either not a real religion, or, if it is one, to be an illegimiate one, just like DS, skzion, and others have said that it is.

I started skimming, as opposed to carefully reading, P’shaw’s wordy blather the moment he frivolously dismissed the concept of canonical Islam, which also happens to be the real Islam that is practiced by hordes of real Muslims. P’shaw’s “Islam” isn’t practiced by anybody. It’s irrelevant.

Skunky’s ridicule of P’shaw’s equation of Zionism and Jihad was right on. P’shaw actually thinks that “pure jihad” is a good thing! Only a wilful dope could think so. This kind of dope buys the ridiculous claim that jihad is peaceful individual striving, which turns Islam into some kind of Buddhism. Lol. Canonical Islam–the stuff that’s actually taught–has no such concept of peaceful jihad. Put then P’shaw pooh-poohs the very concept of canonical Islam.

As for the Crusades, they were defensive wars against Islam. In their pure form they were Just Wars. In their implemented form, they were flawed, and not only because many Jews were slaughtered–against the expressed wishes of Catholic biggies, by the way.

I missed P’shaw’s idiocies here because he had already proven to be a waste of time. But I’m glad that you and Skunky addressed them.

The Academy of Motion Picture,Science and Arts nomination of two Anti-Israeli films are deplorable. Mazel Tov to them.
The cinema has become an attractive vehicle to spread hatred towards Jews. Seven time Oscar nominee Mike Leigh and two time Oscar winner Emma Thompson are among three dozen actors and directors who have signed a letter calling a boycott of Israel’s national theater. Several prominent actors and filmmakers,including Danny Clover and crackhead Jane Fonda, boycotted the Toronto International Film Festival to protest a week of screening of Israeli Films to mark Tel Aviv centennial.
