A Tale of Two NY Subway Pushing Deaths Involving Islam

By Debbie Schlussel

And now we see yet another double standard in charging hate crimes. It all depends on whether the Muslim is the victim or the perpetrator.

naeemdavis

Muslim NY Subway Murderer Naeem Davis Doesn’t Get the Erika Menendez Treatment by Prosecutors or the Media

In recent weeks, two men were killed when they were deliberately pushed off the New York subway platform, and both involve Islam But only one–in which the perceived “Muslim” is the victim rather than the actual perpetrator–was charged with a hate crime. As you probably know, the perpetrator of the most recent case, Erika Menendez, pushed Sunando Sen, an Indian Hindu, to his death from the platform of New York’s 40th Street-Lowery Street station, because she thought he was Muslim and hated Muslims and Hindus ever since 9/11. (Not sure how Hindus, who’ve been repeated victims of Islamic violence and terrorism, got lumped in, but it isn’t the first time American idiots can’t get straight who perpetrated 9/11 (like the ones who murdered a Sikh just after the attacks), and is to be expected since the media, pop culture, and politicians still aren’t sure who committed 9/11 and won’t pin it on the actual perpetrators: Muslims.) She allegedly said:

I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims ever since 2001 when they put down the twin towers I’ve been beating them up.

And, so, she’s been charged with a hate crime, and it’s all over the news. Not all over the news is the identity of the perpetrator and reasons for the perpetration of the other recent New York subway pushing murder. On December 3rd, Ki-Suck Han was murdered by Naeem Davis, when Davis deliberately pushed Han from the platform onto the subway tracks at New York’s 49th Street and Seventh Avenue station. Davis is a devout Muslim, something that’s been hardly reported. Davis, unlike Menendez, was charged only with second degree murder and not a hate crime, even though there can be no other explanation for his deliberate murder of Han other than that the perpetrator is Muslim and the victim is non-Muslim. Yup, it’s jihad, no matter what they say. It’s just that Davis, unlike Menendez, isn’t mentally ill, and he’s smart enough not to tell police his actual motives. I love how the mainstream media also repeatedly made excuses for Davis, such as implying that he has psychiatric problems or that the Korean he murdered “started up” with him. And ABC News even referred to his Islamic beard as a “goatee,” when the photos clearly show no goatee, but a full-grown beard.

Assistant District Attorney James Lin told the court that defendant Naeem Davis, 30, of Queens, N.Y., “has admitted to lifting [the victim] off his feet and pushing off the wall behind him to add more force.”

Lin said victim Ki-Suck Han, 58, had been described by witnesses as “rolling over a few times like a bowling ball” before being struck by a train as it pulled into a crowded Manhattan subway station Monday afternoon.

Davis appeared in court Wednesday around 11 p.m. with a shaved head and a goatee.

Um, does that sound like “second degree murder” to you? Nope, it’s first degree murder. But the only place you’ll see that Davis is Muslim is, ironically, on the Huffington Post:

Naeem Davis, 31, an immigrant from Sierra Leone, said during an interview at Rikers Island Friday morning . . . . he is a devout Muslim who usually visits a mosque daily.

Again, you heard this nowhere, and yet the “anti-Muslim” motivations of Ms. Menendez are everywhere. She’s charged with a hate crime. He isn’t.

And it’s yet another example of the double standard the mainstream media and prosecutors apply to non-Muslims versus Muslims and their victims. Expect to see much, much more of this in 2013 and the coming years.

Debbie – I need your help. I have been alerted to a web site – Muslims4liberty.org – which is using very clever deception to promote Islam as a religion that is fully compatible with our Constitution and Bill of Rights. While I know that this is a form of taqqiya, I lack your intellectual abilities and knowledge to effectively counter this site’s Muslim owners. I do not want their message to go unchallenged. If there is anything you can do to help, please, don’t hold back. Few non-Muslims know as much about Islam and sharia as you do, and certainly none are as fearless.

Phil on December 31, 2012 at 8:29 am

Thank you DS. Because of your site I was able to see this in real time & be outraged. Everyone else is either PC pandering and/or doesn’t really know what is going on with Islam…so it went riiiiiight over their dumb heads.

I am also saddened by the deaths of non-Mooooooslims by American mental-cased idiots. I remember the Sikhs killed because they were mistaken for Mooooslims. American nutters, you are NOT helping the cause by not knowing your stuff and hurting innocent people! It just puts more wins in the column for Islam.

And because of this site, I was able to figure out the Moooooslim pusher was Moooooslim due to his weird beard and first name.

And again….everyone is talking about the India gang-rape death but NO ONE will say that the men were Moooooslim or print their names. I think we know that they were and WHY they won’t print it. We’ll see…..

skunky on December 31, 2012 at 9:15 am

Skunky, I have a number of Hindu friends in India and I figured they were Muslims even tho I didn’t read it anywhere. It’s a very sensitive issue there. Nehru was very friendly to Muslims although Gandhi wasn’t and that’s why his named successor, Patel, and ultimately he himself, were murdered.

I saved a young friend from this fate. She is a Christian Indian young woman, very well off, although Christians are not Brahmins, and she managed to get engaged to a Pashto guy! She wasn’t happy for many months and several of us talked to her and convinced her it was a disaster waiting to happen. We advised her to be very careful when she broke it off and one of the Indian guys offered to be there with her. She did it on her own and Thank God she was unharmed. She seems much happier now although in that society I don’t think the whole incident helped her marriage prospects.

Italkit on December 31, 2012 at 9:59 am

I’m glad that girl got out of marrying that Mooooslim guy. It’s like volunteering for a crap life. And Moooslim men are not intriguing anyway. Yuck.

Italkit, I believe the men to be Mooooslim (in India) because they gave the woman (now dead) and her guy friend trouble about being out and how she was dressed. I reckon Hindus do NOT do that. I’ll be the first to apologize IF the men are not Arabs or Moooolims. If they actually printed the names one could figure if Arab or not. I’d bet the farm and a neighbour’s farm that they ARE Mooooooslims. They love gang-rape these days.

Nothing like giving a woman trouble for how she is dressed and that she’s out with a fella and then gang-raping her. The religion of peace. That’ll do it.

Skunky on December 31, 2012 at 1:18 pm

Let’s ban subway stations because, hey, they kill people.

Better idea, lets get the mental cases off the streets again where they won’t have access to the subways or any other item that can be lethal when misused.

Italkit on December 31, 2012 at 9:52 am

This is very understandable to me. Our political leaders want us to be more accepted by the international community, especially the progressive countries of the Middle East.

In these countries, such as Egypt, it is entirely appropriate for there to be different standards for Muslims and infidels. Since our leaders want us to join the world community and the World Court, it is important for us to adjust our legal system to fit in with these enlightened standards.

Mr. Khrushchev said that our grandchildren would live under Communism. We all ridiculed him at the time, but now…

Might be Communism, and might be a Muslim dictatorship, or some kind of combination, but in essence, Khrushchev was right.

Little Al on December 31, 2012 at 10:19 am

Second degree murder is the correct charge in New York for both defendants. In NY the only first degree murder charge is for killing police officers or prison guards, so no matter how heinous your crime, as long as you don’t kill an officer of the law, you cannot be charged with anything more than second degree murder.

So let me get this straight. We have two people dead both being pushed to their deaths in front of subways in NYC. One person a Muslim and the other is what? Crazy homeless Catholic? All it says it that she might have a criminal record and is bat shi’ite crazy. It’s good that we can come here Debbie and get the real deal as to the blatant double standard of this two incidents. The pathetic part about all of this is Menendez hates a religion that had nothing to do with 9/11. Very strange.

Ken b on December 31, 2012 at 1:09 pm

And it turns out that the victim that Ms. Menendez was an Indian-Hindu, rather than a Muslim.

At the sametime, I clearly do NOT endorse or condone her hateful & bigotted motive and rhetoric of hating hindus and muslims. I as DS and just about everybody on this blog maybe against ”Islam”, but at the very dametime, I personally do NOT hate muslims, there humans as us non-muslims, however, we’ve all called out some to many muslims fishy, nefarious and suspicious behavior, rhetoric, etc. when they’ve been wrong.

Sadie (according to the first word in your screen name, you are silly), what are you’re views on this story? If you don’t have nothing to add to this discussion rather than attacking the messenger like a complete dipshiite, either stick to the damn topic, add something substinal and/or STFU and go away, far away you butthurt troll!

Sean R., “Silly Sadie” is that odious piece of latrine slime Dirty Donya Berry. The racist Shi’ite Moooooslima tweeter.

See, she has a VERY distinctive yet bland style. And she is also a lover of alliterations.

And she loves the letter “D” (for her disgusting name).
And she loves the letter “S” (for her daughter she’ll contaminate…her name is Sophia).

Donya, “Sara”, “Delta’, “Silly Sadie”…it’s the sign of a simple mind, Sadie When She Died…

Skunky on December 31, 2012 at 4:20 pm

Skunky, her mind fossilized long ago. In the old days, she would have found a home at Letchworth Village or Pennhurst. Donya would have learned things like sharing the communal spoon and not to complain aboutreused inoculation needles.

Appreciate the heads up Skunky on this certain poster “Silly Sadie”.

Speaking of “Donya Berry Paniccia”, I think she deactivated her Twitter account due to her tweeting a hateful term. And Skunky, since you’re on twitter, I assume the two of yah’s aren’t on eachother’s friendlist (I can’t imagine the two of you on one another’s friendlist after the two of you were fighting with eachother a few weeks ago here)?

Excellent observation. Waiting for some other “justice” oriented, self appointed representatives to come forward and tell us all how much we all deserved this.

Unfortunetley, those whombelieve they know all the details of. Any story simply because of what they read or hear in thhe media tend to be the actual idiots. I have nothing to say about the first shove of an innocent person but as far as the second, this proves EXACTLY what is wrong with the system designed to aid thoose who were simply born with a mental state that they cannot control. Erika Menendez suffered from Bi polar disorder. So much so, that she has voluntarily admitted herself in the past. Clearly this individual has cried out foor help that has fallen unto deaf ears. Her family has tried to do everything in their power and have worried a day may come that she may be so unstable something of this magnitude would occur but noone came to their rescue for this young woman. A loving sister and daughter, she struggled with her condition but managed to try and keep it soomewhat under control to the best of her ability.

The statements allegedley made by her the day of her arrest were made by an individual not of sound mind at that moment. It is hard to fathom and extremely disheartening to hear that she had anything against anyone of any faith especially muslims or hindus when she was surrounded by them both on a personal and friendly basis. Again, impossible for any of her statements to be true being that she was not completely aware of what she was saying.

Undoubtedley, her actions were heartbreaking, unfortunate and a complete disregard for human life. Though this is true, it is also true that this individual, had she received the care she so desperately needed, could have been saved from the nightmare of having to carry her actions with her forever in her heart and mind and saved from an existence that can no longer be called a life.

My thoughts are with the victim and his family. May he Rest In Peace and may another situation as the Newtown Massacre, the movie theater slaughter, the mall murders, the Virginia Tech disaster and any other atrocities committed by any other person with an unstable mind be prevented with the right treatment and care.

Every person born on this Earth to a woman who has carried them in her womb deserves a chance to live regardless of how they were born.

pro truth on December 31, 2012 at 10:39 pm

I am sure that John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and Jeffrey Dahmer would agree with you, if they were still around. Most of their victims(boys, women, and men), who were killed in horrible, would probably not. There are people who feel an empathy for individual murderers and serial killers, despite the premeditated horror they inflicted on their victims.

Pro, I doubt very much that the families of the actual victims would appreciate your kind of sympathy. Whoever cannot abhor crime cannot love virtue. Those who weep for the murderer show their scorn for the death of the innocent.

    Worry01 on January 1, 2013 at 1:45 am

Erika was born with that type of mind. Her mind lead her to do what she did. Under the right medication and care, she had a chance. No one bothered enough to check on her well being and that of her family. That would have made a world of a difference. Another one lost to our government’s ignorance. We’re punishing those with mental diseases instead of helping them.

pro truth on December 31, 2012 at 10:48 pm

Worry, thanks for your response for the maudlin hand-wringing of pro-sympathy-for-nutters. You said it better than I could.

PSFN, put me on record as someone who does NOT…

pro truth on December 31, 2012 at 10:39 pm

I include sociopaths, homicidal maniacs, drugged up freaks and Islamic Jihadists in that grouping. I do not have a problem with you chillin’ with any of those devils though. In fact, I’d love you to spend your free time all 4 genres. You’d be expendable but a true innocent will be saved. I’m all for the saving of innocents.

Also, you seem to know much about the mental health of that dumb, nutter killer. Are you her therapist?

Everybody and their brother is diagnosed with ‘bipolar’ these days. I am sick of it and bored with it. I also feel sorry for the TRUE bipolar people out there. Their affliction has been hi-jacked and watered down so much I roll my eyes when I hear the diagnosis now.

Too bad you didn’t understand the gist of this column as well as you do Erika Menendez’s nutter mind. I don’t like sorts like you who have sympathy for the devil. I reject it even if the horrible beasts do have mental illness. My sympathies *ALWAYS* are with the innocents.

Skunky on January 1, 2013 at 12:04 pm

Now THIS is bad journalism. Do you think maybe the reason Melendez was charged with a hate crime was not because the victim happened to be Muslim, but because his being Muslim was the REASON for pushing him? The clue might have been when she said, “I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims.”

In the Davis case, there’s no evidence that he pushed Han because he was non-Muslim. He pushed him because they were arguing. Witnesses stated that Han started the argument. On the video, Davis clearly warned him to go away before he pushed him. There was no premeditation.

Why don’t you just come right out and state that you’re a bigot instead of just alluding to it?

Please link your blog so we can compare and contrast. You know nothing but you have the temerity to think you’re the smartest guy in the room.

Your post does a great job illustrating that you’re all emotion (like a sooky girl) and very short on facts and background information on the topic at hand (Dhimmi double-standards in modern jo-whore-nalism).

When you call something ‘bad journalism’ smart people everywhere better pay attention because what you call bad is actually the BEST.

Skunky on January 1, 2013 at 11:50 am

Italkit, Nehru was an avowed Atheist – calling him a Hindu is like calling Vladimir Lenin a Christian, or Karl Marx a Jew. Also, Nehru was a Socialist, and extremely narcissistic and enjoyed being chummy w/ guys like Nasser.

Gandhi too – his ‘hinduness’ just meant the right to throw Hindus under the bus, claiming that right as one of their own. Very much like kapo Jews who support the Palis and throw Israel under the bus. Gandhi was one of the biggest Muslim butt kissers that one can imagine. Please don’t conflate the views of Hindus w/ him – while too many Hindus, like too many Jews, are clueless about Muslims & Islam, it’s not so much Gandhi that influences their opinions, but a combination of Western attitudes towards Muslims, as well as India’s own Bollywood, where Muslims are rarely depicted as villains (so far, no different from Hollywood).

One more thing Debbie is right about – too many Americans are too moronic to distinguish b/w Arabs and non-Arabs, Sikhs & Muslims, Hindus & Muslims, & so on. I wonder whether Erica Menendez would have been prosecuted had she been Muslim?

Infidel on January 1, 2013 at 10:42 am

I especially appreciate your last paragraph, Infidel. You summed up nicely what I have been thinking about since that first, tragic Sikh was killed after 9/11 because some awful yobo thought he was Mooooslim. It always bothered me so much. At the time I knew NOTHING about Islam but I knew that some wicked stupid moron acted heinously towards an innocent…and that always bugs me.

Skunky on January 1, 2013 at 12:26 pm

when i was young we locked the crazies up and kept enemy ragheads out of america all of these deaths are the fault of liberals=progressives=socialists=communists who pretend to be democrats.i think we need to feed these traitors to the liberty tree.

bruce on January 1, 2013 at 2:49 pm

@Robert Sanford
Actually Debbie was quite specific about the fact that Melendez confessed to her crime Robert. Maybe you didn’t bother reading the post properly because you thought you already understood it.
Fact is Muslims like Davis often don’t regard non Muslims as real equals because it’s part of their interpretation of Islam. Check it out. Please don’t tell me that all Muslims are like that. Maybe, but most Muslims don’t push people to their deaths on the subway. Although you as you pointed out he did have the decency to warn his victim to clear off before murdering him. You’re a sensitive guy Robert. Just not too sensitive when it comes to murder.

Frankz on January 2, 2013 at 8:38 am

Hey Bruce! Who gets to decie who gets locked up? The soviet union considered dissidents to be mentally ill.

And are you willing to pay the hundreds of billions we will be spending to lock up anyone and everyone just because they have so much as anxiety issues?

Mainestategop on January 19, 2013 at 12:22 pm

as a human rights activist, libertarian and a patients rights advocate I detest the comparisons of the mentally ill with terrorists and racists. and violent criminals.

Erica did what she did because she was a racist not because of mental illness.

In all likelyhood her diagnosis came as a result of her unpopular beliefs.
