Merry Christmas, Love Egypt’s Muslims: Christians Intimidated, Threatened @ Voting on New Sharia Constitution

By Debbie Schlussel

Over the weekend, on Christmas Eve Eve, Egypt’s Muslims declared victory in a vote overwhelmingly approving the new sharia constitution. But that’s because Christians were threatened, harmed, and otherwise intimidated by mainstream Muslim thugs. And if you think this can’t happen here, you are on crack. We won’t see it in our generation, but in a few generations, when Muslims gain enough of a population foothold–a critical mass–this is what they will do here to your grandchildren, great-grandchildren, their children, and so on. We’re already seeing signs of it–the mild symptoms when a body first manifests cancer. and the prognosis is very bad in the long term.

virginmary.jpgmuslimsagainstfreedom

Remember that this is George W. Bush’s and Barack Obama’s legacy, since Bush called for and began the push for Muslim “democracy” all over the Middle East (and got it in Iran-back Shi’ites ruling Iraq and HAMAS ruling Gaza), and Barack Obama pushed out Hosni Mubarak to make it happen in Egypt (which Bush praised in a Wall Street Journal column). And, as you read this, keep in mind that none of this is about “Islamists” or “Islamism,” phony terms coined by politically correct cowards. THIS. IS. ISLAM. . . .

On Friday, the day before the referendum vote, Al Gama’a Al Islamiyya members rode on flatbed trucks mounted with flags and speakers while shouting anti-Christian slogans.

Many of Egypt’s Christians say they were intimidated by Islamists. At polling stations, some Christians said they found their names weren’t listed. In other cases, they said, poll managers wouldn’t let them in.

More:

“In the beginning, after the revolution, we all went out to vote,” said Maged Fawzi Farweez, a Christian who voted “no” in the second round of the referendum on Saturday. “But over and over, we feel as though our voices go to waste. That’s why many of us don’t go anymore.”

Mr. Farweez lives in Bayadaya, one of a constellation of small, almost exclusively Christian villages that surround the southern Egyptian city of Minya. . . .

Egypt’s revolution has been hard on its Christians. Sectarian clashes, the abrupt rise of Islamist politicians and the mainstream perception that the Christian community supports former President Hosni Mubarak have frightened the once apolitical community. Many Christians say they feel that they can’t speak out for fear of being labeled as traitors.

The handful of Christians present on the constitution-drafting committee joined about two dozen other secular-leaning delegates in withdrawing last month, shortly before the document was passed. Their absence allowed Islamists to push through the controversial document, whose passage was all but guaranteed Sunday.

Even the relatively moderate Muslim Brotherhood contributed to sectarian tensions recently. Mohammed Al Biltagi, a widely respected Brotherhood reformer, sparked outrage when he told television audiences that 60% of the draft panel’s opponents were Christians. . . .

In Minya, the Christians’ clout is eclipsed by hard-line Islamists who have grown in power since the fall of Mr. Mubarak and his secularist regime early last year. Minya is the birthplace of the former militant group Al Gama’a Al Islamiya, and some of the group’s leaders returned there after their release from prison following the revolt. During moments of heightened political tension, the organization has staged thousands-strong rallies in a show of force.

As I’ve noted before, most of these “Christians” in Egypt are Coptic Jew-haters who supported Muslim extremists every step of the way until Mubarak was pushed out, so I don’t feel too badly for them and their karma-laden current state. Their Pope, Shenouda III, was a rabid supporter of HAMAS and urged pogroms against Jews (and these are the same Copts who had no problem vilifying the Jews and Israel, falsely claiming that Jews and Israelis were behind the Mohammed video, in yet another of the historic Coptic blood libels against Jews). But it’s the Christians (and the Jews and other non-Muslims) in the West, who will be future victims of this, that I fear for.

It’s not like this should be news. The handwriting has long been on the wall that this is what Muslims do to non-Muslims whenever the Muslims take power. They don’t discriminate between the dhimmi Christians who kiss their asses and the others who rightly see the Islamic threat and fight against it.

Hey, let’s hear it for yet another example of Islamic “tolerance.” They want you to bend over backward (and forward) for them. But when it comes to “tolerating” you, their answer is the sword and beheading.

Islam is like a virus. It may go dormant for periods of time, but it never dies out.

It almost seems as though Benghazi is a diversionary tactic on the part of both the Republicans and Democrats.

Of course I believe that the behavior of the U.S. was shameful in not protecting its representatives in Libya. All parties, the Presidency, the Secretary of State, the CIA, the Ambassador, etc. have some responsibility.

But to talk about Benghazi at the expense of the broader question of how to address the Arab ‘Spring’, and its manifestations in various countries, i.e. the broader questions, seems to be deliberately casting aside the major policy questions about U.S. policy as a whole towards these countries. By focusing on a side issue, important as it may be, the more basic policy issues are being ignored.

Little Al on December 24, 2012 at 2:16 pm

Little Al, there are 4 direct questions that have STILL yet to be answered by the Obama-Putin Administration (and notice that the Republicans are doing what Jihad Darrell Issa has long been doing on “Fast & Furious”…look busy while you’re really “rope-a-doping”).

    1) WHO ordered the stand-down???

    2) WHO thought of using the phony ruse of the Mohammed videotape as a diversion?

    3) Tyrone Woods had a PAINTED TARGET CODE on the enemy before he perished. WHY was the code he pained back ignored???

    4) What did Obama-Putin know and when did he know it??

And never forget the whole fight was watched in real time via central command. And a General and an Admiral were relieved of duty in SECONDS once they decided to ignore the stand-down. Then both were forced to early retire.

But Obama-Putin is King and it’s GOOD to be KING!

Skunky also what did the PIAPS Hillarious Rotten Clintoon know and when did she know it about Benghazigate.

Wanted to answer the brilliant questions you asked.

      1) WHO ordered the stand-down??? OBummer

      2) WHO thought of using the phony ruse of the Mohammed videotape as a diversion? Hilary

      3) Tyrone Woods had a PAINTED TARGET CODE on the enemy before he perished. WHY was the code he pained back ignored??? Leon E. Panetta. “paint back” was ignored because Obummer told the Fleet Admiral not to engage, thus he was “fired” one week later. The Admiral accepted the forward paint code.

      4) What did Obama-Putin know and when did he know it?? Two weeks prior Dept of State PSS members asking for more ammo due to anti American sentiment among the “new” (Muslim Brotherhood) government

Hussein promised the Ummah ‘As the president of Unites States, I will fight the stereotypes of Islam, wherever they are’. Note that Hussein will side with Islam and Islam only, which is NOT his duty as the POTUS.
No wonder the border is left open to comtimaninate America with the criminal trash voting or Hussein.

Alert on December 24, 2012 at 2:44 pm

In the end, the Americas will be the last man standing against the Caliphate. But, as time goes by and we get dumber and dumber, our fate will be sealed, as well. Europe is almost gone so that part of the World will be lost. It doesn’t matter which party is in power, we’ve seen what happens when courageous citizens try to do the modern equivalent of a Paul Revere cautionary ride. We listened back then because we knew and called out the enemy. We no longer have the guts to do the same with Islam. We have been intimidated into accepting Islam as “the Religion of peace.” We will pay a terrible price for that cowardice.

JeffT on December 24, 2012 at 2:46 pm

Hard to believe America can become any dumber than it already is…

As goes, so goes... on December 24, 2012 at 3:53 pm

I am willing to bet that Christians aren’t allowed to own guns, either.

Makes it far easier to conquer…

As goes, so goes... on December 24, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Debbie,
You are exactly right about all what you said, but you are not right at all when you say that copts are jew haters. I am a copt and I love and even adore every jew on earth. it is only that I can not tell. If I was heared saying that in public I will be beheaded at once for being a traitor who love ( sons of monkeys). Please do not be so unjust towards copts. Try to imagine that we have children and these children surely will be kidnapped, and rapped if we one say that we hate islam or love jews. It is very easy and beloved to die for your religion and principles. Yet is is very painful to see your children suffer for your opinions about this damned religion( guess what religion it is).
Please read this comment.
love you and all the jews

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:19 pm

Sure we are not allowed to own guns. You can even imagine that in some places in upper Egypt our coptic students are forced to listen to Coranic verses every morning, and if one of them tried to speak while they liten, they will be dismissed at once from their school and even some children are killed for expressing their desire not to listen to coran.

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:24 pm

Islam dies out if there is a little freedom to criticize it in public. That is why Moslims can not bear it if somebody criticized that Satan called Mohammed

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:27 pm

You know what Christians in Egypt know more about Islam than those naive majority of Muslims. Most of Muslims know nothing about types of marriage in Islam. None of them know that a man will get thousands of thousands of virgins. Muslims in their so called paradise ( Jannah) will forget all about God and be free to commit adultry and drink wine. I bet none of Muslims know these facts.

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:30 pm

who wants to know about some Muslims who knew the truth of Islam Try to google ” Mohammed Rahoma” ” Walid Shoebat” and many many others who discovered the horrible truth of that Satanic religion

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:33 pm

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and consciencous stubidity”
This wise saying exactly tells you about thoses Muslims who call themselves “educated” yet they are ignorant. One of them called Zaghlol Elnagar. this man dedicated his life to falsly convince Muslims that all scientists in the world confess that Islam is graeter than science.

George on December 24, 2012 at 4:38 pm

Well, I guess nWo is an anti-semite. He posted something from Haaretz in the “Sound Of Music” thread and somebody called him out on it. I didn’t know Haaretz was anti-Jew (I guess I do now…) and I have never seen TSOM (I feel I missed out on something big, culture wise, for having not seen it…) so I regretfully didn’t understand the gist of the Haaretz and Israel/Jewish argument (and TSOM) but I see here he is staying consistent and having another go at Judaism. Hmm.

But I digress…I agree with DS on this whole column. If you have paid attention to this very blog there was a living and breathing episode of Taqiyya being played on here by that racist, pig Sharmuta Donya “Niggers should not be able to get their license” Berry-Paniccia.

First she was bold and thought what she did was much ado about nothing. Then she created TWO (eventually 3) fake handles to try to make it seem like the racist pig had supporters…but she got caught ham-handed when she forgot to change “Sara” back to Donya Paniccia. Then she lied and said she was sorry…and under the nom de guerre of “Sara” proclaimed that she wasn’t offended because she was not black (no sh**!) and that she does not get bent out of shape by what others say on social networks (Really? Truth tell about the scourge of Islam and all the sudden that racist is offended BIG TIME). Then she got arrogant and agro (as any Moooslim will) and decided to fight to the death against ANY naysayers who disapproved of what she is and what she did. THAT. IS. ISLAM.

When you have heaps of Conservatives that STILL want to modify Islam with “moderate” you know we are in trouble. And I haven’t even touched on their infiltration to both federal and state gubmints and how they have gained power and sympathy there. (Kowtowing to that murderous pig Nidel Hassan who massacred 14 at Fort Hood is just one example.)

I learned all that HERE. ONLY here.

And lastly, I really appreciate how DS quite rightly DOES bring it back to GWB. Many miss GWB but I CAN’T…not after I have learned what he wrought on us due to his ME wars. As I always say, there is plenty of REAL reasons to hate GWB with the passion of the left but they have no clue to the reality of the reasons and instead opt to hate him like poison for made up Liberal hate-fantasies.

We are in BIG trouble and no one really knows it. It’s VERY sad and quite upsetting.

Skunky on December 24, 2012 at 5:48 pm

Skunky, Haaretz, is far left wing trash and because of their pro-Pali stance, one could say they are anti-Semitic. However, I didn’t see nWo’s link to the article as anti-semitic. It happened to be the truth. What was anti-semitic was his comment that the Rabbinute (committee of rabbis) of Israel is intolerant. And then it was only the tone in which he said it because yes, the rabbis ARE intolerant and rightly so. I answered Ralph Adamo’s “calling out” of nWo because as you know, I live here and it is disturbing to see Christmas trees and decorations being sold in Jewish cities, by Jews to Jews. This is totally forbidden in Torah. It is a form of idolatry. Here is part of my answer on the same thread to “Last word” who really did express anti-semitism worse than nWo’s when he told Debbie she was going to burn in hell forever because she didn’t accept Jesus as her “personal savior.”

“The Rabbinate is a group of Rabbis who are the ultimate authority when there is a question of this kind. It’s a committee and questions are argued and debated extensively. I’m sure skzion would add that money changes hands, but that’s irrelevant. In Jewish law, a Christmas tree is an idol and it’s an idol of the Caananite religion so particularly heinous. It may be hard for Christians to understand the minutiae of Jewish law and how decisions are arrived at and that something of this sort is NOT trivial as Worry mentioned. The fact is, food is very scrupulously overseen so if a restaurant or food store is practicing “idolatry” then the food may be seen to be “sacrificed to idols.” That’s what they will be deciding.”

I hope that this clarifies the matter. Despite Haaretz’s consistently self-hating positions and motives, this article in itself is not wrong nor is it anti-semitic. Rather, the Christmas tree contingent are, in my opinion, the true anti-semites. I’m sure they sit around them eating their ham and shrimp cocktails.

Italkit on December 25, 2012 at 2:15 am

Thank you Italkit. I know more now than I did initially. Appreciate it.

And “Last Word” I know you believe what you say and in the end you are free to believe what you want (and in the end you *may* be correct…biblically and from the stance of your religion) but I do not see how you saying that to DS is constructive. She has her religion that she herself believes in with all her heart and she also *may* be right in the end…biblically and from the stance of her religion.

You are not talking to her heart to heart so you spewing that (as you are wont to do) IS NOT kind. It’s cruel and not constructive and your religion calls for you NOT to act like that.

You’ll not get any takers with such ham-handed arrogance. And many of your sorts happen to be the biggest hypocrites (IMHO) and the worst examples of holy rollers that I ever see, second only to Mooooslims.

I’m not as annoyed as Sean R. is on holy rollers of a certain persuasions but I do get annoyed at people like you because you do not want to bring people to your light in a kind and open way. That’s not cool or constructive.

Skunky on December 25, 2012 at 9:52 am

Obama needs to be impeached for Benghazi.
Israel ironically may be the wests inadvertent savior of further Islamic encroachment into the west. I am actually hiping the get fed up with having to defend their position of actually defending themselves and nuke the living SHIT out of Iran,Syria,Libya and any other shitbag islamist country that farts without asking first.

Keep a close eye on the Senate. There is a bill in the Senate to give control to the UN of the seas through the Law of the Sea Convention (Treaty Doc. 103-390). Giving the UN control of the Persons With Disabilities Act was recently narrowly defeated in the Senate. In Michigan, according to Judicial Watch, there is a MI House bill to bar use of “foreign laws that would impair constitutional rights” being considered which CAIR is fighting.

The Copts are learning now(and the Maronites of Lebanon later)what placating Islam gets you. When you betray all of your allies, you wind up standing alone against what would have been your common enemy. When you come under active and sustained attack, it is far too late to cry out for help. Who would listen?
