Chuck Hagel: Obama Defense Sec Choice is Very Pan-Arabist, Anti-Israel; Honored by Pro-Hezbo/HAMAS Grp

By Debbie Schlussel

If you are against Muslims and anti-Israel cretins running the Pentagon, then you should be very concerned about Barack Obama’s reported choice for Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel. And you should be very concerned that Republicans told the press that they will easily confirm Senator Hagel, which is sad and pathetic. Over the years, I’ve watched Hagel become a favored figure on the Arab Muslim lecture circuit. I’ve seen him speak at many organizations that openly support Hezbollah and HAMAS. And I’ve seen him viciously attack Israel to those Arab groups in a way only a Jew-hater can. There’s a reason–several of them–why Hagel was the keynote speaker at the 2007 Arab-U.S. Policymakers Conference, featuring a panoply of well known Israel-haters.

Chuck Hagel Hates Israel, Loves Islam

That’s in addition to the fact that Hagel voted against designating both Hezbollah–which murdered hundreds of Americans–and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as terrorist groups, and he opposed sanctions against Iran. Chuck Hagel’s record was so bad that he was even publicly opposed by Ira Forman, the then-chief of the National Jewish Democratic Council and Obama’s campaign outreach person to Jews, when Obama named Hagel co-chairman of his Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. (I know Ira, and at least he has the guts to do these things. You’d never see his counterpart, Matt Brooks–the calorically gifted head of the Republican Jewish Coalition–oppose anti-Israel Republicans. On the contrary, he embraces and honors them.)

As you know, John McCain ran for President several times. When he ran against then-Governor George W. Bush in 2000, I gave McCain kudos for refusing to appear at the pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS Arab American Institute’s (AAI) political conference in Dearbornistan (both George W. Bush and Al Gore sent slobbering Islamo-panderers to the confab). But his good friend, Senator Hagel, was a proud participant at the conference. The things he said about Jewish political power and Israel were the kind of things you’d hear at a Klan rally . . . or a mosque. And later on, as McCain was gearing to run for President again, he sent Hagel to the AAI event as his representative.

Hagel, as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was often praised by Al-Jazeera and other Muslim outfits for his anti-war stance, his attacks on Israel, and his repeated calls for a “more balanced” U.S. policy in the Middle East, which is code for, “Israel sucks! Let’s support the Muslim world’s attempts to wipe it off the map.”

In 2007, Hagel was an awardee and featured speaker at the AAI’s Gibran Awards Gala because of his anti-Israel, pro-Muslim record. His speech got massive applause and a standing ovation because he portrayed American Jews and the pro-Israel community as such:

Hagel resented being told that if he wants backing from the pro-Israel community, his support for Israel should be automatic. “First, I am an American senator,” Hagel said to wild applause.

Hagel also said he would not sacrifice his friendships in the Arab and Muslim world to please pro-Israel groups. “No relationship should be founded on holding hostage other relationships,” he insisted. “Why must it be a choice? It is not a choice.”

When he sat down, Democrat Bill Richardson got up and told the Arabs how embarrassed he was by Abu Ghraib, to Hagel’s applause and more of the same from the Arab audience.

The thing is that to Chuck Hagel it was a choice between the Muslims and Israel. And the choice wasn’t to “automatically” support Israel. It was to automatically support the Muslim world AGAINST Israel, as he did throughout his thankfully short-lived U.S. Senate career.

Look at the many wacko Chuck Hagel statements on Iran that even the Washington Post takes issue with. And then there are the multiple orgasms that the kapo organization of self-hating, anti-Semitic, anti-Israel Jews at Mondo Weiss is having over Hagel. That should be a hint that . . .

Chuck Hagel should NOT be Secretary of Defense.

So where are the Republicans who are opposing him? Crickets chirping . . . .

There are none….

I guess its alright to be a pan-Islamic, pro-Hamas, pro-Hezbollah and pro-Muslim Brotherhood Republican.

Now that Obama has been re-elected no longer has to worry about the Jewish vote, he can fill his Administration with people who reflect his real views about the Middle East.

Looks like Hagel will be Obama’s next Secretary Of Defense.

Our government is not just “infiltrated”, I think “taken over” would be a more accurate term.

RT on December 14, 2012 at 3:44 pm

RT is right on target, the infiltration is complete. Hey “conservatives”, game over, nothing left to conserve….

End times senarios call for all those who go against God and His people, to gather together, in order for their agenda to come about. They don’t know that they are going to be hit hard by the One who defend’s Israel and her people. But, I will say, No Surprises! Every President elects those who will work with them, their way.
Love America and Israel! Standing strong, till the end.

I’m gonna read all those links provided in the column.

Just yesterday I tweeted a story that said his nomination will be controversial because he sits of the board of Deutsche Bank and they are under investigation for ignoring US sanctions on Iran and aiding terror finance.

Chuck Hagel is also an enthusiastic supporter of direct talks with Iran.

I’ll have to read up on all I can about this Dhimmi. He’s a real nutter…and a dangerous one too.

The Republicans bear some responsibility for this woeful choice, even aside from the fact that Hagel is a Republican and has been supported by other Republican flaks.

Because the Republicans are retreating head over heel from any semi-decent positions they ever possessed, Obama knows there will be no Republican opposition to the nomination. It will also disarm the Republicans even more in the budget talks, because Obama will be seen as above partisan politics by this choice. Gives him more leeway to tax and spend after making this ‘conservative’ Defense choice.

i never liked that rino weasel hagel because he is just like the weasel rinos mcconnel and wheepy bone head.do you think we can go four years with out being nuked by the ragheads, chicom or russia?

bruce on December 14, 2012 at 6:38 pm

Debbie, if I recall right, one more major thing about Chuck Hagel – that he was a leading opponent of John Bolton’s confirmation as UN ambassador. Everything you’ve listed above now fully explains why!

No wonder Obama would like him there. One good thing if he gets confirmed – the GOP loses him. Just like they lost Bill Perry earlier, when Clinton made him secretary of Defense. I just hope Obama picks more RINOs, so that the party either gets more Conservative congressmen, or loses those seats to genuine Liberal Democrats.

Infidel on December 14, 2012 at 6:41 pm

I have seen Chuck Hagel on and off for years on the political stage. He came across as a hominal Republican at best. Mr. Hagel would in no way be a good Secretary of Defense. He would be even more than a ragdoll than Panetta is

Worry01 on December 14, 2012 at 7:03 pm

The Republicans have been broken on Obama’s knee because this wasn’t just another election. They will go where he leads now and that direction is the way Chuck Hagel is pointing. This is why guys like Daniel Pipes were desperate for some cohesion.

Frankz on December 14, 2012 at 10:33 pm

That did not make much sense Frankz. Barack Obama got barely more than 50% of the popular vote. By your logic, GW Bush’s reelection in 2004 should have broken the Democratic Party. Also, there is a reason for Chuck Hagel not being in the U.S. Senate anymore. His rather dramatic move to the left did not sit well in Nebraska. Chucky is just the sort of zero that Crist, Huntsman, and Powell are. They bolted from the Republican Party when they could not win reelection or advance their careers through it. The late Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania became a Democrat because he could not longer pass muster in a Republican primary. Barack Obama induced him to switch to the Demoratic Party in order to get Obamacare through, and then promptly forgot about him. Arlen Specter got tossed in a Democratic primary. No, there is nothing about a broken party with the likes of Hagel. It is more akin to the removal of parasites and trash. Time serving, careerism, and personally convenient treachery are not ideological directions.

Upchuck Hagel?? Good lord, he’ll screw out pooch, try and gut Israel and God will come down with a hammer the size of Saturn

Maybe this is the Last Sign of the Apocalypse

I guess I missed that part of the conservative indoctrination training that makes all conservatives pro-Isreal. I guess I was just too fixated on the requirement that you have or have-more in order for you voice to be heard….after donations, of course.

Visteo on December 15, 2012 at 1:52 pm

Oh, that is such classic antisemitism. The Jews with money bags rule it all. Sorry, Saudi Arabia and quite a few other Muslim states have more than a little cash. Also, when you learn how to spell Israel correctly, let us know. Mustafa’s message is heard all the time. We see suicide car bombings, unguided missile attacks, Khobar Towers Bombing, throwing acid in the face of women, etc. Yes Visteo, we do get that message quite clear.

    Worry01 on December 15, 2012 at 7:49 pm

      Here here, Worry!

skzion on December 15, 2012 at 9:07 pm

Sorry for the Israel typo. I’m sorry that you read Jew into have and have more. I intended no such distinction. If you have money, you have a voice. If you have more money, you have more of a voice. Worst of all, in our current state of campaign finance, you can be anonymous and give unlimited amounts of money through issue groups to influence elections and legislation. If Mustafa has cash, he can play too.

Visteo on December 15, 2012 at 9:04 pm

Oh bollocks, Visteo. We weren’t born yesterday.

I am very critical of Israel (as it does not protect its Jews), but we all know what YOUR agenda is.

Incidentally, Middle East Studies departments are funded by the Amalekites (Muslims). So are various presidential libraries and speaking tours.

skzion on December 15, 2012 at 9:12 pm

    Demjanjuk LOL!!

Talk of end times with all the stupidity and BS going on… I say bring it on. More painful to watch what’s happening.

CG on December 17, 2012 at 4:53 am

By that standard then the Arab world should have far more influence than Israel or the Jews. Do you not understanding the magnitude of the wealth of Arab royalty?

    NeoCon_Libertarian on December 17, 2012 at 1:55 pm

    Tell it to Sweeney asshole.

Ron Wolf on January 6, 2013 at 7:26 pm

Correction to explain misplaced reply to the “tell it to Sweeney asshole” comment I directed at Visteo and like “sh”thinkers”. See Edmund Burke for a good answer as to “why”.Also see “Kapo” if that applys.

Ron Wolf on January 6, 2013 at 9:52 pm

Oh, and Debbie: nice work.

skzion on December 15, 2012 at 9:13 pm

I should have added…It is an elite minority and corporations that have the most cash to give. Most of them do not care about you or me or Israel…this is the conservative base. If we are considering threats to America and Israel, we need to look beyond the party lines and conservative/liberal labels. This blog does that.

Visteo on December 15, 2012 at 9:26 pm

Viseo, were you ever diagnosed with a “thought disorder” or were you born sitting on a fence? Get off the pot already.

Ron Wolf on January 6, 2013 at 9:57 pm

Skzion, please tell me what my agenda is.

Visteo on December 15, 2012 at 9:35 pm

According to Wiki Hagel is of German and Polish ancestry. That probably explains his anti-Israeli attitude. It runs in the genes.

Gerald on December 16, 2012 at 3:54 am

In a way, Obama’s selection of Chuck Hagel makes perfect sense. Obama’s first choice, John Demjanjuk, turned out to be deceased, and it was difficult to find someone evincing the same depth of character and moral principles.

Ralph Adamo on December 17, 2012 at 12:51 am

Also, the isolationist tradition of Nebraska. Hagel follows in the footsteps of the unlamented Sen. Wherry.

Little Al on December 17, 2012 at 8:43 am

This is the last straw. Obama is I repeat is a closet muslim, whether of the Farakhan, Cynthis Mckinney variety, or the Kenyan variety. G-d help Israel, and New York City as it is obvious that there is no, I repeat NO serious boycott of Iran. If there was Obama’s buddy Achmadhadajihad would still be in the news making threats.
That no doubt probably had something to do with that mystery American plane landing and taking off from Iran.
It is time for anyone with a drop of Jewish blood, or American blood for that matter (both rare these days in the contiguous US) to stand up and face the not so old threat of the alliance of Muslim controlled countries (apparently now joined by America) with the not so hidden Nazi Klans and white power Jew hating David Dukes that infest the internet with their poison. Add Cynthia Mckinney who needs a one way ticket to the Congo where she can experience personally what real genocide and rape is.

Ron Wolf on January 6, 2013 at 7:23 pm

Heil Hagel, has a familiar ring doesn’t it? To paraphrase Reverand Wright- “Damn Obama”.
