Petraeus Opposed Drone Strikes b/c They Offend Muslims, Nixed Hits on Several Terrrorists
David Petraeus’ urge to pander to Muslims spared terrorists’ lives and cost Americans their lives.
As I’ve repeatedly told you, the disgraced former CIA Director, Petraeus, was (and remains) an Islamo-pandering, anti-Israel specimen of political correctness and dhimmitude. And I’m glad he’s gone, unlike way too many conspiracy theorists on the right who insist that this liberal was “our guy.” But, now, we’re learning that Petraeus’ pandering to the Islamic world may have cost U.S. lives . . . and I’m not talking about the Benghazi attack on the U.S. consulate. Petraeus was hated by the CIA, and when a man who is a pan-Arabist is hated by even the pan-Arabist CIA that says something. And, in this case, it says that he was to the left of even them when it comes to the Islamic world. David Petraeus didn’t want to offend his Muslim buddies in greater Arabia, and he spared the lives of known terrorists by refusing many drone strikes, even when his own counterterrorism chief felt those strikes were imperative.
From the Wall Street Journal:
On more substantive issues, agency officers sometimes chafed under what they saw as Mr. Petraeus’s more controlling style, the former official said. In his efforts to more closely align the CIA’s drone program, aimed at killing terror suspects, with diplomatic sensitivities, Mr. Petraeus sometimes clashed with the agency’s Counterterrorism Center chief, with Mr. Petraeus denying requests to strike a particular target.
[Emphasis added.]
For those who don’t get it, “diplomatic sensitivities” means: “I don’t wanna upset Muslims in power by killing Islamic terrorists, so I think I’ll let them live to kill more Americans.” In case you doubt that, remember that “diplomatic sensitivities” was the reason America didn’t kill Osama Bin Laden when we saw him hunting with some princes from the United Arab Emirates (which also would have spared many American lives lost).
How many terrorists lived to kill more American soldiers, Westerners, and other innocent civilians because David Petraeus refused to allow drone strikes against them because he didn’t want to upset his past partners in shawarmeh dinners?
We’ll never know. But, clearly, it was more than one. And even one is one too many.
David Petraeus jeopardized American lives so he could kiss Muslim ass. It was Muslim ass-kissing on steroids. Anyone who wishes he was still in power is an idiot. An America-hater. Or a Muslim. Or all three.

I am amazed how deferential even Republicans have been towards Petraeus. His resume keeps getting touted, but his actual accomplishments are never articulated by anyone that I have seen. Petraeus was apparently a political general. His failures in Iraq and Afghanistan never tarnished him in the eyes of his boosters. Petraeus’s pandering to his civilian superiors and the well connected on the outside ensured that his career never hit a snag until now. He finally got too lazy and complacent when he started up an affair(doubtful that it was the first)with Paula Broadwell. Petraeus was an egomaniac who was more concerned with pleasing his superiors than with supporting those beneath him.
